Just back from a week staying at this beautiful hotel. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants in both the harbour area and the "main strip". The room we were in (415) was very spacious with a good size balcony overlooking the beach, to which there is direct access from the grounds, which are beautifully kept. The beds were very comfy and not squeaky ;-). The housekeeping staff are meticulous, our room was spotless from day 1 to day 7, new towels and complimentary beach towels every day, the mini bar contents were also complimentary. There is a large pool surrounded with sunbeds and lots of little seating/sunbathing areas dotted around. The staff are all very attentive and polite. We were B&B, I cannot fault the food at breakfast. Plenty of choice from breads, hams, cereals, yogurts, fruit, juices and all the usual cooked stuff. We really enjoyed our week of luxury and hope to return soon.

We stayed at the hotel fariones for a week in October, it was absolutely amazing! We got out of the taxi and were greeted by someone who was ready to take our bags. During the check in process we were offered a glass of cava or orange juice and these little things got our stay off to an amazing start.
The rooms are amazing and have everything you need including beach towels, hand sanitizer, face masks, complimentary water, coffee, etc. The bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing also. The rooms are cleaned twice a day with a turn down service at night time. The entire hotel was refurbished with a nice and modern decor in the room as well as all the common areas. Loved it!
Breakfast was fantastic!! The selection of food was so good and so tasty, you could choose something different every day and not get sick of it.
The pool area was also fabulous, with lots of space making it very easy to socially distance. My favourite beach in Puerto Del Carmen is playa chica and this is just a two minute walk from the hotel, perfect location. The hotel is just minutes walk from everything you need. There is also a direct access to the beach from the hotel.
The best part about the whole stay? The staff! They were simply amazing - everybody from the bar , restaurant to the reception staff made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. I would like to give a special mention to Miriam. She was the reason that our stay was so amazing. She is brilliant at her job and did everything to make sure that our stay in the hotel was perfect. She is the employee that every hotel should have, her passion and dedication were clearly visible.
We had such a fabulous time at the fariones and I cannot wait to go back there.

Great stay! Upon entry into the hotel lobby it smelled pleasant, was bright, open, and welcoming. We were offered a beverage. Customer service and the English of staff were excellent. They were helpful in making recommendations and accommodating all of our desires. Our room overlooked the pool and ocean, had a shaded terrace, and we could hear the waves crashing with the door open. Big highlights included RITUALS hygiene products, plush robes and slippers, flip flops for the pool, a large marble shower, cold water and snacks refilled daily in the mini fridge, and a Nespresso machine. The bed was large and super comfortable. The pool is on the smaller side but has a great view and waterfall effect, plus there are servers to take your drink orders. The jacuzzi pools are nice and lounge chairs are comfortable. Pool towels are large and provided in the room.
Breakfast buffet wasn't super covid friendly in that you served yourself but they did have individualized condiments for olive oil, jams, etc. which was nice. Waiters would serve you for water, orange juice, and/or coffee. We could enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace overlooking the ocean, which always made for a lovely morning. Breakfast included meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruit, mimosas and other juices. It was the same everyday. It wasn't very crowded while we were there, but there was only one chef and he would only make over easy, poached eggs, or omelets.
CONS: The buffet didn't have labels. The buffet dinner was very underwhelming and not worth the price. For both buffets the food was never hot only mildly warm. The TV in the room couldn't play Netflix or other streaming services. Parking is 15 euros a day and parking was hard to find around the hotel. They don’t have a spa or gym, they recommend ones across the street. The food wasn’t that good.
Overall, great stay and we would have liked to spend more time there.

This was my very first trip to Lanzarote and what a way to start! Hotel Fariones was the first hotel built on the island in the late 1960s and has just undergone a huge refurbishment, opening its doors again in September with stunning results. The hotel has been beautifully designed - luxurious but in a relaxed, sometimes quirky style. What's more is it has gone to real efforts to put sustainability at the heart of its operations, hopefully a growing trend in the industry. Each of the rooms has a beautiful Atlantic sea view - it was such a joy waking up every day to the sight of swaying palm trees and sparkling blue water. The rooms are contemporary and minimalist with some stylish splashes like the beautiful emerald green tiles in the bathroom and geometric tiles on the balcony. The grounds have been designed to make you feel like you are in a tropical paradise with an abundance of lush flora and fauna surrounding a lovely infinity pool (or a 30 second walk to the very nice Playa Chica beach). There is a huge fitness centre 2 mins away which is available to all guests with a large gym and a wide range of free classes, including regular yoga and pilates. On top of all of this the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed here for three wonderful days and felt completely blissed out by the end. I'm already plotting my return!

This was our first visit to Hotel Fariones and we were very impressed. As the taxi approached the front of the hotel you immediately got a sense that it's a real 5 star hotel. Check in with Emilie was a joy after a 4 hour flight. We had booked a suite so we were expecting a nice large room. It was both larger and nicer than we imagined. The standard of toiletries, towels, bath, bed etc were all consistent with a 5 star hotel. Because we had half-board, our mini-fridge was restocked every day, which was nice. The food in the buffet, both for breakfast and dinner, was good and there was plenty of choice. On a couple of nights we ate in the a la carte restaurant, mainly to have a change of scenery. We tried both menus and the supplement was only €12pp. There were plenty of sunbeds at the pool, but getting pool service wasn't always easy. Drinks were reasonably priced, but the lunch menu was a bit expensive. All of the staff were pleasant and friendly. From a Covid perspective, we felt very safe and there were plenty of hand sanitisers around the hotel. Overall, we will definitely return and you will not regret booking this hotel.

We spent 16 nights over Christmas and New Year at the Fariones and had a great time.
The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully renovated with subtle luxury in a classic mid- century design which you would typically find in smaller boutique hotels. Many old features of the traditional Fariones Hotel were kept which all together provides a very comfortable and classy and elegant atmosphere without being stuffy or fussy.
The grounds and garden resemble top luxury resorts in Thailand or the Maldives with plenty of palm trees, exotic gardens and many different and private areas for lounging, sun bathing, relaxing and so on.
All 3 restaurants have their own style with great food and service. All rooms have sea views with a high level of comfort, design and decoration The sports center 2 minutes walk away although a little older offered everything needed and more... The hygiene concept was professional and taken seriously
Hotel Director Jörg and his team made great efforts during Christmas and New Year with a classy programme of dining, entertainment, live music and daily piano sessions which all in all provided a very festive atmosphere.
The multinational team of the Fariones displayed a very positive spirit. The hotel opened only a few month before the holiday season and it seemed that everone was exited to be back in business ater 4 yers of renovation.
Despite the reopening there was not a single negative service moment in over 2 weeks.

The best hotel in Lanzarote for quality and service in my opinion. I’ve stayed in many 3/ 4 and 5 star over the years and this hotel has everything you could wish for in a holiday . The location is on the edge of a busy area , however it is totally quiet, calm and relaxing . If that is what you prefer. If you want a bit of nightlife etc , that’s a few mins walk up the street . The check in was what I would expect of a 5 star hotel, cava in hand . The junior suite room was a great size , separate toilet and shower plus a beautiful light / mirrored basin area. Sofa in the room which led to a nicely furnished balcony overlooking the sea . The pillows were the best I’ve had in a hotel and the bed was large and super comfy. All we could hear were the waves in the rocks ..bliss. Breakfast was delicious , with everything prepared well. I love fruit and there was a large variety (included more unusual like dragon fruit , star fruit ) The cooked breakfast looked good and apparently tasted amazing too. Then comes the service … the staff were so friendly and helpful . They continually came round with fresh juice and coffee . Without being overpowering ! We sat outside and had a wonderful leisurely breakfast . Can’t comment on evening meal , looked beautiful but ate elsewhere . We had swims in the sea before brekkie , using the gate key which gives direct access to the beach . The pool is lovely too . The hotels price reflects the service that I would expect . Having said that you don’t always get it ! Here you will . I’ll be back to stay here Fabulous.

Positives: The hotel itself is immaculately clean and our rooms were left spotless every day. The staff are attentive and friendly. The decor, pool and gardens are beautiful and you can tell so much thought went into the design. The shower in our room was huge and the air conditioning was fab. The food is good, particularly the breakfast with lots of nice choices each day. We could also hear the sea waves crash against the shore every evening which was very relaxing! Hotel itself is also close to the airport and some shops/the beach with a taxi rank outside. The beds were very comfy and the balcony was large.
Negatives: Upon arrival we were told that it was hotel policy not to leave towels on the sun loungers for more than 30 minutes unattended. Hardly any guests took notice of this, which I understand is out of the hotels control, however, more could and should’ve been done to enforce the rule, otherwise what is the point in it? Second negative was the ‘free’ mini bar.. it was very underwhelming for a 5 star hotel. We got two cans of water, a cereal bar and a bag of vegetable crisps each day. The crisps were bland and horrible, although the water came in handy. The cocktails were hit and miss, sometimes they were great and then sometimes they weren’t.. the hotel entertainment was a piano player 3 times a week and then sometimes the odd singer/band. The piano playing wasn’t to my taste but the bands are good, just a shame the seating area was always rammed whenever we wanted to sit and watch. There was a almost constant ‘hiss’ noise in our room throughout our entire stay which was a bit annoying but usually stopped during the evening so we didn’t bother to complain. Finally, our room was on the bottom floor of the hotel meaning we didn’t get much of a view, we’d of loved a room higher up! I understand this isn’t always possible but just something to point out.
A separate note not affecting my score of the hotel was my personal opinion on the location. The hotel is a 5 star, yet it’s surrounded by Irish bars and borderline average restaurants.. which is fine for some people but we would’ve preferred some better options as the strip of restaurants near us was full of people trying to sell us stuff and people trying to get us to go in and eat..
Overall, the holiday has been memorable and we really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break near lots of facilities in a clean hotel with lots of character!

It is true that we do have a policy in place where our colleagues remove any items on a sunbed which has not been used within 30 mins, avoiding guests occupying the sunbed without it being utilised. We apologise for the inconvinience if this was not the case during your stay. Regarding your comment about the minibar, the minibars are restocked daily with having no additional charges made. If guests wish to add further beverages, our colleague in the room service department would be more than happy to assist. Regarding our entertainment on an evening, we try and offer a different variety of music for all guests. It is true that everyone has a different taste of music and we like to think that here at the Hotel Fariones ***** all is catered for. Last but not least, regarding your room. In the case that a guest is unhappy with their room allocation or request to move due to requirements. We ask guests kindly to let a member of staff know in order to programe a room change. The Fariones Hotel is 100% what you would expect from a 5 star hotel and more. The hotel arranged a swift and comfortable pick up from the airport in an immaculate Mercedes for my husband and I . Check in was also swift and pleasant with a complimentary glass of cava.
We had a suite on floor 2 which was a delight to stay in. Suite benefits include free soft drinks, water, crisps and a Kit Kat daily, flip flops, beach bag, access to the roof top terrace and pool, and the nicest benefit was the a la cafe breakfast at the Kaori Restaurant. The breakfast was wow and the attentive staff were equally wow. A suite is worth paying extra for.
The hotel grounds are so well kept and have direct access via a key card to 2 beaches with such clear water to swim in. Beds are plentiful in lots of different areas outdoors.
Minor negatives there was no information in the suite on dining options at night, a lost opportunity and a laundry service another lost opportunity . Maybe just put the QR code sign with this information from reception in the suites. Plus there were no tissues in the suite.
We were able to check out late on departure day for a small fee which was well worth paying for, it is one of my pet hates when a hotel can’t tell you until departure day how they can assist with late check out and almost never can deliver.
I cannot wait to return to this fabulous hotel.

From the moment we arrived to the sad time we had to leave we felt privileged to be in one of those rare hotels in which quality and excellence pervade. The hotel has just over 200 rooms and whilst it was reasonably busy there is a pleasing calmness about the whole experience. Nothing feels rushed - the staff are uniformly courteous, professional and very willing to please. The rooms whilst not large are very comfortable and spotlessly clean; they all have sea views with balcony and you will experience the sound of the waves lapping the shore. The public, dining, pool, garden and bar areas are immaculate. The service is friendly and efficient. It is very apparent that all the staff take pride in this hotel and it shows. It is superbly located, facing south and directly overlooking the sea with easy access to the sandy beaches. We chose bed and breakfast terms which worked well; it gave us flexibility to eat in a number of local restaurants to experience something different. They were generally of good quality and reasonably priced. The hotel breakfast is exceptional and we much enjoyed eating on the terrace when it was sunny. We had the dinner buffet a few times; again the quality of food is very good (particularly the sumptuous array of starters) but we thought eating there every evening would be a step too far for our waistlines and would obviously add to the cost of the holiday. The weather was a little disappointing at times with some cool, windy and cloudy days - unfortunately this is one thing the hotel staff cannot fix. Overall, a super holiday in arguably the finest hotel in Lanzarote. We will definitely hope to return again. Very strongly recommended.
