Every year since 2013 we have spent the first two weeks of August at Abram Park. We are world travelers, but our favourite trip each year is to Sioux Lookout and this wonderful facility. The cabins are large, comfortable, family friendly, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. The Sunrises from all of the lakeside cabins are nothing short of spectacular. With a beach at the front door, and some of the world's best fishing a short boat ride away, Abram Park is a fantastic place to relax, refresh and play. We can't wait until next August.

Stayed at Abram Lake Park in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, the week of September 4-10, 2011. The park is 3 1/2 hours north west of Thunder Bay. Weather was unbelievable, 25-29 degrees each day (80s for fahrenheit folks). Two bedroom cabin was well appointed with fridge, stove, microwave and nice living room, sitting area. The deck as in the photo was generous and had a gas BBQ. The reason people come this way (I met a fellow from Texas who says the summers in Abram Park in a trailer) is for the fishing. It is really world class walleye fishing, along with pike, bass and muskie. The park is connected to Minitaki lake, and a short drive from Lac Seul, a world class walleye and muskie lake. The resort has an abundance of trailer hookups, tent camping sites, and approx. 8-12 cabins. Some of the cabins are spectaclar, for the well heeled, whereas ours was a little more rustic. There is a very nice beach on the resort, excellent docking facilities, a boat launch, a beautiful fitness trail to a lookout point and a convenience store. What I thought was the highlight, was the fish cleaning cabin. A table for maybe ten people, with a huge sink in the middle, with water hookup and pails to dump the filleted fish into. Every day we were there, and it was off season pretty much, the pails were full of filleted walleye. It was spotless and functional. The family that run the resort, the Pizziol family are very friendly. Colin will give you fishing tips and Birgit and her kids are delightful. You can check out the resort at abrampk@sioux-online.com. I can send photos if you email me. My pics were too big to down, er, up load.

Wife and I have been going there for years. We are always amazed when we go up there on what new projects Colin and Allen have done since we were there last. They are always "up grading" the facilities, which are great to begin with. The main reason we go there is for the fishing. One word says it all. Excellent!!!!! If you don't know where to go, just walk around the camp and ask. Fishermen are a talkative bunch. They will tell you where and on what. Try this place, you won't be disappointed.

I camped here with two of my kids during a fishing trip in mid July. The owners are very friendly, the campground is VERY clean and well cared for. Abram Lake Park offers everything from quite tent sites in the woods to more central camping/trailer sites and gorgeous log cabins. The facilities (laundry/washrooms/showers/fish hut/playground/boat launch) are all kept in great shape. After a day on the lake fishing we had I had not trouble keeping the kids busy with other things to do in the park (playground/ horse-shoes/fitness trail). We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Sioux Lookout. The fishing was great too by the way - fresh fish for dinner each night.

My wife and I just completed a 2 week camping stay at Abram Lake Park. We had a great time and really appreciated the quiet and friendly family atmosphere there. The grounds are well kept plus washroom, showers and laundry facilities are immaculate. We really enjoyed being right on the lake, and we could not have had a more relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Paula and Allan go out of their way to treat you right. We have already booked for next year!!

My friends and I have stayed here for a week every July for several years. The cabin accommodations are very nice: clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Our hosts, Paula and Al have always been friendly and helpful. You can launch into Abram Lake right from the Park, and The Lac Seul Deception Bay boat launch is a short drive.

Top notch resort, super friendly service, awesome amenities, great fishing, swimming, tubing, bocce ball, horseshoes and beach. Pristine wilderness setting with proximity to services in town less than 10 minutes away. Paved bike trail and running trail to town. Access to over 5 lakes for all different species of fish....highly recommended. Rebooked for two weeks next year!!

"The log cabins are deluxe and have waterfront locations. Great for 4 or more people. The two bedroom cabins are clean and comfortable. The rv park is really nice and most all locations have a fire pit and wood for burning. Sioux Lookout is a short drive where you can enjoy golfing, restaurants, shopping and grocery. You may just fall in love with this area like I did !!!!"
