Firstly, let me send kudos to the incredible animation team who always kept our kids and us engaged and entertained, namely Ana, Tania, Leon, Dani, Livia and Kati. That's definitely one of the best memories of the hotel. Kid's club and mini disco kept children busy and parents could spend some quality time together. Special thanks for Haloween party - it was impressive and unforgettable.
Kids also appreciated mini Aquapark which was a highlight of our stay and all water games including air bouncing castle and magic water carpet.
Restaurants and cuisine is just of the next level - everything's so tasty nearly homemade and the choice is always overwhelming!
Also I'd like to mention Elina from reception who helped us in any matter during the day.
Beach and the ocean is a separate story - it has so many lovely colours I've never seen in my life! Beach is sandy but during tide outs it can become quite rocky so not easy to enter the water.
Last but not the least is a selection of alcoholic drinks - you can literally find anything of a good quality, so for example, there're a few descent brands of whisky, gin, rum etc. and everything's all inclusive. I haven't drunk alcohol for a few months before coming to Iberostar but that changed my attitude and I enjoyed everything they have. Now I need another rehab and detox holiday)))
There were of course some smaller issues but they cannot influence my 5 star impression.
First of all, this is the perfect hotel for families with smaller kids but might be boring for teenagers or younger couples.
Music is played only during animation time a few hours during the day and I don't mind having it from 10 to 4, for example, to set a holiday mood but not to disturb anyone.
Rooms are a bit shabby and outdated so the renovation that literally started on the last day of our stay came very handy. They promise it will have totally new look and feel next year.
Way to the seaside takes around 10 minutes and it can be a bit exhausting for someone. I would suggest to have a straight stairs or an elevator from the hotel if possible.
Also there's an issue with sunbeds at the beach since it's occupied by mobsters from Pasion Pirata cafe nearby. They charge 13,5 EUR per two sunbeds and umbrella per day and brutally kick away everyone who doesn't pay. I believe it's not a huge investment for Iberostar to organize sunbed area at the beach of their own.
Another thing that comes to my mind is that there's only one beach volley pitch and sometimes there were queues to get into game so would appreciate the second net if possible.
Other than that we've enjoyed every minute of our stay at Fuertaventura and would definitely come back to Iberostar again maybe just in different location.
I hope my review will help you making your choice and you will have "time of your life" as we did there.
Cheers.

We have had a brilliant time. I feel we have raised the bar a little too high now with regards as to what our children will expect from a holiday now!! This is the first holiday since having children that I have managed to read four, yes, FOUR, books by the pool thanks to the fabulous animation team lead by the amazing Anna whose energy and enthusiasm with the little ones is a credit to the hotel. The water carpet, pool inflatables and aqua aerobics were enjoyed by us all. My favourite was the mojito cocktail masterclass by the pool! Every day at around 1pm the Iberostar mascot comes out to say hello and him and all the staff do a dance routine around the pool. The night time entertainment was excellent, some nights this was outside by the pool.
The food has been great. We have only eaten in the main restaurant once due to it being very warm in there and also, not wanting to adhere to our allocated time slot which you pick on arrival, we could have changed this but we found the pool side restaurant more relaxed and cooler when sat outside.
I will say however, around a week into our holiday the hotel got very busy as if it had reached full capacity and consequently I feel the service and choice of food in the pool side restaurant declined a little as a result. Things ran out quickly and were not replaced etc. the Mr Whippy/Softy ice cream machine was broken the last few days of our stay which was a shame.
The only other negatives were that as already mentioned in other reviews, the air con is rubbish and needs replacing with the more modern freestanding remote controlled units. The swimming pool also does not open until 10am which I think I quite late? The wifi however, is the best we have experienced on holiday in a hotel.
All the staff are lovely and are everywhere - there’s always someone cleaning, wiping, emptying bins etc. very helpful staff.
The beach is beautiful and the sea so clear to swim in. The beach bar there is very nice also if you want to eat a meal out of all inclusive for a change/one off. Very good milkshakes. We downloaded the BIRD App in order to use the electric scooters into Jandia town, this was good fun but quite expensive, we had three scooters for around 40 minutes in total and cost around 40 euros.
The shopping centre 10 minutes along the costal path has everything you want if you don’t want to walk the 40-45 minutes into town.
Just a couple of other things - take or buy some towel pegs for your loungers as the wind can be quite strong (but welcome!) and be aware the transfer time from the airport takes around 1.5hrs. We don’t return to the same place twice but I will say staying in an Iberostar hotel has been an excellent experience and has helped us parents have some time to relax so thank you!
Check in was easy; you have to pick an early or late dining for breakfast and dinner and this has to be both the same (I.e. both early or both late) this was a little confusing as the man checking us in didn't speak great English; it would have been nice to pick late breakfast/early dinner etc. However it wasn't a big deal as you can eat in the poolside restaurant a little later anyway.
The food was OK, nice selection of pastries at breakfast, and Pancakes etc which the kids loved, the cooked breakfast items left a lot to be desired. There was a reasonable range of 'kid friendly pizza/bolognese etc on offer each day and the main dishes were relatively varied, decent selection of desserts. Overall it was good enough food but it could be a little 'samey' by the end of the week; if you were there for 10 or 14 days it might be a bit boring.
The rooms are a little dated and definitely could do with updating; but the room (a suite) was very spacious and had lots of storage and a fridge/sink etc.
Room was cleaned daily to a good standard, the hotel is aiming to be more environmentally friendly so you have a glass bottle/jug which you can fill up at the water coolers which are dotted around, there is large refillable shampoo etc rather than small bottles and you can just leave a card on the bed when you want clean sheets; all simple changes but good to know they're doing their bit!
Facilities wise; one big pool and kids slide pool was warm enough for swimming/playing but the biggest pool with the bridge was freezing cold! 🥶 so we only used the warmer ones; but that was fine.
The kids clubs; my children went once (one in the younger monkey club one in dolphin club) they're usually quite outgoing but went once and decided not to go back, I wander if the age ranges didn't suit? My 9 year old was a little young for the bigger group but the 6.5 year old found the younger club a bit too babyish! At other hotels we've found the age ranges better thought out.
The entertainment team seemed to work very hard and both us adults and the children enjoyed the activities around/in the pool. The children particularly enjoyed the water carpet and inflatables & my husband enjoyed water polo. Evening entertainment is just one 40ish minute show per evening which was good but short
Overall a good family holiday and no huge negatives, would go back in future for a relaxed family trip.
If your looking for a short break I would highly recommend this hotel but avoid school holidays unless you have are looking for a family holiday then if so go for it. We will definitely return and look forward to taking my grandchildren there.
We were a party of five with two children and our two rooms met our needs ideally with plenty of space, daily cleaning and balconies with sea views. All the staff, from the cleaning and maintenance teams through to the reception and restaurant staff, were welcoming and very responsive. Christina made us feel genuinely at home and went out of her way to ensure we were having an enjoyable holiday. The food in the various restaurants was varied and satisfied both the adults and the children. There were themed evenings including a bbq night and specialist Canarian dishes. The chefs worked hard to ensure the high quality of the food and the waiters were friendly and efficient.
There were a range of activities during the day mainly around the pools on site. In the evenings the Children’s disco was a big favourite for our seven year old grandson. At 9.15 each evening there was a show with different types of entertainment including singing, dancing, magic and a spectacular Michael Jackson extravaganza. All were greatly enjoyed by young and old.
Overall we spent a very lively and relaxing family holiday at this hotel with plenty to do and a very wide beach a short walk away. Our thanks to the whole team for their efforts during our stay.

Staff are fabulous in all areas, lovely pools one is much warmer than the other but plenty of space for everyone. Probably the best food we’ve had in an all inclusive and although the restaurant area isn’t that big it never seemed crowded. The entertainment staff work very hard and provide a variety of activities and are hilarious in some of the evening shows. It’s a shame the evening show finishes at 10pm then there is nothing after that. Only some background music in the bar.
The room we had was very basically furnished even though we’d paid for a sea view suite on the top floor (great view) so I’m wondering if it was worth the upgrade?
everything was very clean the hotel could just do with a spruce up, lick of paint and maybe some more modern furniture.
Plenty of sun beds and great to have some shops on site as it was quite a walk to the nearest shops and very hilly. 15/20 mins to the local Spar or to the far end of Jandia Playa was a good 30-40 minutes although there are some bars/restaurants on the way to stop for a drink.
It is a fair trip from the airport too so transfer time is 60-90 minutes but well worth it. We’d definitely come back here.

Lots of loungers and lovely pool area.
Food was great (loads of choice)
Drinks were premium brand and you were able to self pour in the day.
Lots of soft drink machines around
Water machines all around the hotel and your room has a glass jug to fill up- lovely touch.
After an initial problem with the room we were given, we were then moved to a better room.
Bar and restaurant staff were lovely. Special shout out to Eli and Ana Rosa.
The animation staff were fantastic- Anna was hilarious and a credit to the hotel. Celeste and Lukas were also lovely.
Reception staff are only average but you don’t really have to deal with them.
Very close to the beach and easy to get into town either by walking or taxi. Would definitely recommend using the Bird scooters to get to town. So easy once you set up the app.

It really is all in the small details sometimes that raises a very well put together hotel like this, into a fantastic experience and the whole team working here have that down.
We stayed as a large extended family group of 10, with 4 children under 10. From the moment we arrived Christina (Guest services Manager) led the way with a wonderful welcome serving drinks and canapés whilst we waited to check in. Throughout our stay she was very present around the hotel, alongside the animations team and always greeted us personally. We were also celebrating some of the children’s birthday during our stay and she arranged for some gifts in our room, and the animations team had them up on stage with the mascot to sing happy birthday. This was really special for them.
The standard of the food was delicious, particularly the range of salads and the pizza and pasta stations. There were theme nights and local cuisine. The teams in the food areas were always friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
The rooms we stayed in were perhaps a little dated in terms of decor but the beds were comfortable with plenty of storage and cleaned immaculately daily.
The pool areas had a good balance between quieter pools/areas for adults and older children, and the kids pools and an activities pool (water slides, aerobics etc) for families.
The beach is just a 5 minute walk downhill from the hotel with a small playground and tennis courts en route. It’s a beautiful beach and you can hire sun beds.
Really only a couple of fairly minor points to feedback:
• The mixer tap on the shower in our room wasn’t working so it ran hot and cold and couldn’t maintain a temperature. Luckily we had a bath for the children as it was much safer.
• I’d recommend perhaps considering adding hooks to the bathroom doors. Especially in the pool area where you might have a bag or need to remove clothes, the floor is very wet to put things down.
• The evening entertainment where it was guest acts rather than the in house team were considerably better and I think only 2 of our 8 nights had this. For peak season I’d consider upping this. The in house team did a fantastic job however during the day times around the pool, and at kids disco.
Thank you so much for a brilliant stay. Highly recommend!
The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout I’ve never seen swimming pools look so clean as is every other section of the hotel. If you have children make a trip next door to the sister hotel to use the bowling alley it was brill didn’t realise until our last few days. The beach is brill and there is s lovely park just next to the beach that the kids loved.
There was so much for the kids to do, they loved the kids club throughout the day and the entertainment at night, the greatest showman was our favourite!
My only recommendation is for the food to be more clearly labelled in the restaurant somethings (like the children’s section) didn’t have any labels on food this could cause concern for anyone with allergies and also create less waste if you knew what you were eating.
Overall an excellent holiday we will defiantly return in the future.
