Amazing sandy beach , a great little campground with playground for the kids. Beach is huge and the water is shallow and clean, although no shade - bring an umbrella! Good location halfway between Invermere and Fairmont Hot Springs. Small shop onsite for ice cream -bonus!!. An ideal spot.

In years past you were allowed to have dogs at this campground and in designated areas on the beach. We found out this year they decided dogs are not allowed on any stretch of beach at all. We were so disappointed and likely will never be back.

Well, let's get it right, this is not a resort at all, don't be fulled by name and picture on their side. We were staying on fully serviced lots on a south side and it is nothing special at all. basically, three sites among trailer park. Lots had no view but had ample space, but would fit rather short rigs up to 30 ft. We were not surprised by non-drinkable water as my wife asked about at the time of booking. Staff is very nice, we had good experience checking in and out. Main non-serviced lots actually is your best bet, as they are nicely located and do have decent view, at the same token far from lake shore. There are two beaches, south a bit rocky with hidden access to it, north actually is pretty nice as it is sandy. Lots of boats marooned near the beach. We had dogs with us and place is not rather friendly to pets, despite extra fee. Dogs are not allowed on either of the beaches and are subject of $50.00 fine. This campground is surrounded by band land and inaccessible to campers, so basically you are pretty confined to small area. I have to say that they do have few playgrounds that are nice.
In summary, there are lots of stationary RVs and mobile trailers so this should be called mobile park. Campground at the entrance has some nice sites but no services (except 5 or so with electrical) so if you are hoping for resort experience this is not the right place. I was also a bit surprised that we were charged GST on our camping fees, as I believed reserved based businesses are exempt.
I would not stay there again and would not recommend this place for friends or family.

We stayed one night 2 years ago in our small trailer (2 adults, 2 children/one dog). Showers were free. It is run by First Nations People, lots are large, grassed and you can swim in a gorgeous lake with sandy beach. My kids enjoyed this very much. The scenery is beautiful. It is not right on the road, which is a big plus. We're hoping to go back next week, this time with a tent. This last year playgrounds (2) and other structures have been added and this campground offers TIPI camping (2 adults 30$).

We were very disappointed when we arrived to find out that their water isn't potable. No where on their website was it posted when we booked. Now it is after I told them that people deserve to know before booking...we wouldn't have booked. The full hookup sites for big rigs are barely long enough to fit and very tight to get into but wide enough to set up a dining tent and then some.
The personal was friendly and tried to do their best as there were mix ups with our site and the one next to ours and our rig sizes. We stayed because it was a family vacation with other sites reserved. All in all we had a great time because of our family.
The area is gorgeous with the lake and mountains as the back drop.

We tented at Lakeshore Resort and Campground for two nights. We had a reservation for one camp ground site but found it was too small for our family, the wonderful lady at the front desk took no time in finding us a better site, awesome customer service! The grounds are very well maintained, freshly mowed and manicured, clean bathrooms, the showers were spotless (and free!). Everyone was very friendly and we felt well taken care of by the regular rounds of the security guards. We also really enjoyed having the private beach nearby, no garbage or glass to be seen! The kids had a blast! There are two playgrounds which my younger daughter could be found continuously at and all three of my kids thought the teepees were pretty cool. Will be back for sure to this beautiful camp ground Owned and Operated by Akisqnuk First Nation!

If I could give less than 1 star, I would! I cannot believe the horrible experience I had here. I rented the large teepee for my partner, his son and I. The weather was not great but they did not put the top of the teepee up so I was rained on at night. Then the absolute worst part was that the campers next to us were drinking and screaming and yelling until 4am!! Nothing was done about it. At 10 pm the people from that site, who were drinking all day, got into their vehicle and backed into the vehicle behind them so hard that they pushed the vehicle parked in front of me 3 feet into my vehicle, cracking my bumper. With the activity and inappropriate behavior that was going on at that campsite, we did not go out of the teepee to get the information because we didn't want to get into a worse situation. They were drunk and violent. The next day I went to the camp manager and they told me that they know who the truck belonged to as it is quite distinct and that they were part of the native band. THEY KNOW WHO HIT MY VEHICLE!!! And I made a police report who also said they know the vehicle but as justice goes, they will not provide me with the information needed to make an insurance claim. If they let their band members drink and drive and distroy paying customers belongings then I will post every place I can to warn people about staying and supporting such a horrible business.

Jul 21 st weekend - we had a large group of a wedding. The support for the wedding from the staff was astounding. An added bonus was the 2 girls at the Tipi on Fri nights, I highly recommend paying them a visit. music, fried bread and the most awesome pies and conversation. Staff were cleaning up the grounds anytime something was dropped. But very serious for a second. I travelled with a dog and cat. At 3 am on Sat night, the cat named Majic did a disappearing act out the window screen. I was devastated but the staff were tremendous. Staff made posters, posted on facebook, long term nearby residents helped search took phone numbers. I searched 18 hours and he was located far behind the tipi's. beautiful campground and spectacular staff, thank you. I will certainly be back

Pros:
Clean, well kept for a campground, staff friendly and helpful. You can tell that they are trying hard.
Water is not drinkable. Bring your own or buy for $5 a jug or $18 for 5 gallon including deposit.
Lake is nice and views are good. Small beach has low water good for tots that want to paddle and build sand castles. Water is a bit cloudy clay/sand mix but not bad.
Cons
Site map deceiving not really to scale as the whole site is on a slope, so ask lots of questions before you book. Many of the sites are small and very close together with no privacy, yes you can camp on grass but there is no privacy.
Boat launch very difficult to use due to the weeds and rushes, very difficult for all but the smallest of boats.
The whole site acts as an natural amphitheater for noises especially for the train that runs the train tracks are across the lake. Bring your ear plugs as it is very loud when the trains pass by. The train sounds its whistle at all hours of the night.
Staff made lots of noise- weed/grass trimmer and lawn mowing, followed by septic tank clean up on the weekend. Would be better to schedule these activities mid week where possible when there are less people.

There are lots of lease spots that seem much better, more space more privacy great views just not available to short term campers.

The campground is clean and well managed. The staff was very helpful. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. It was quiet as we were there in May. The shower and toilets were very clean. Unfortunately not many trails around if you want to hike. Limited to the Lake. I wouldn't call it resort. The sites were very close to each other with less privacy. The sites were well maintained.
