My partner and myself spent 10 night at the Kyknos in mid to late July .Had a lovely holiday congratulations to all the management and staff ,they handled the situation brilliantly. There were some complaints about some of the food being cold.,in general we found it ok .The staff were tremendous very efficient and very friendly. The two main bar staff were excellent Giorgio in particular was fabulous nothing was to much trouble for him.Nanos was wonderful a perfect gentleman. The drinks were very good and plentiful. Our bedroom was lovely, nicely fitted and decorated. You had to request room cleaning service the night before and the rooms were cleaned bedding changed and fresh towels were left,we had our room sorted every third day it was fine
We felt very safe and secure. The only place in the hotel you needed to use a face covering was at the reception desk. All in all it was spot on to the extent we have booked to return in September for a further 10 night stay.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after by the staff of this lovely hotel. We arrived after dinner service had finished but was ushered into the dining room where a plate of Greek salad had been prepared for us with choice of drinks readily available. Our bags were taken to our room which was one of their bungalow rooms which was just like the photos, comfortable beds in a good sized room with plenty of cupboard space and cloths hangers. Great rain forest shower with hydro jets if needed. Food was good at all meal times perhaps some unusual connotations but always something you could eat from great salads to pasta, fish and meat choices.
The main bar was outside by the pool and we enjoyed sitting there in the evening watching the antics of the very hard working bar staff who liked to entertain everyone in their own fun way. Their was no entertainment in this hotel during the day and apart from a dance show one night the music from the bar was it, which suited us perfectly. So if you want banging music and animation teams running around to take part in various games etc then this hotel is not for you. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but I think what makes this place special is the outstanding staff from reception, dinning, bar personnel were all great hard working staff always with a smile for you. Would return to this hotel.

Came to Crete for the first time and arrived pre-season so the majority of things had not opened yet. On arrival at the hotel we was welcomed with a cold plate and a drink ready for us as we had arrived after 9pm this was appreciated. We had been allocated one of the older style bungalows ( my fault I would have booked a newer bungalow if I had known). It was adequate for our stay. The room had 3 single beds (there was my daughter and I travelling). The beds where comfortable but the bedding was not in the best condition it had rips/holes and was stained. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and if fresh towels where required they where provided. The room has an undercounter fridge. The bathroom is a good size and always had hot water. Not sure how the electrics work when room empty as when you leave the room you take your key and the electric goes off, found this out when left my phone to charge and it didn't. The temp dropped at the night time in April so we turned the Air Con unit on to heat the room. The staff where lovely, they where very friendly and always welcomed you especially the Maitre, The staff at reception always answered any queries we had. The bar staff where exceptionally friendly and made the nights at the bar enjoyable. The food was plentiful, many choices to be had. There was an option to book in for the Gourmet menu once on your stay which we did. A small criticism was that it was an all inclusive hotel and snacks where only made available later in the afternoon by the pool and once the kids had all grabbed there wasnt much left. Other all inclusive hotels I have stayed in around the world offered a variety of snacks throughout the day ( hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, cake etc..) sadly this was not the case here. Unsure if the ice-cream was available throughout the day but it was in the main restaurant and couldnt wear beachwear in restaurant to pop in for this. We stayed 10 nights and throughout our stay we had seen three different night time entertainment shows.
The wellness suite offers some good packages and Paulina was very friendly and I booked in for a body scrub, wrap and a massage which was very relaxing. If I could make a suggestion, the location of the wellness suite seemed to be in the wrong place as when you are having these treatments ( and they are not the cheapest) you expect the luxury that you have paid for so the noise of children playing and people splashing in the pool does not make for a relaxed atmosphere.
I have mentioned a few negative points but please do not let this put you off this hotel. Overall the hotel is beautiful and in a good location once the season starts and everything opens. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We spent 2 weeks at this hotel in august, and I have to say we couldn’t fault it. For a family of 4 with boys aged 10 & 7 Malia wasn’t my first choice of destination, but price and close transfer from airport met our budget. We found this hotel is far enough from the nightlife but still within good walking distance to nice tavernas and shops either in malia or stalida/stalis
The near by beach is decent, good for snorkelling on calm day, the sunbeds owned by the hotel next to the beach and cost is €12 for 3 sunbeds and parasol, however the next day we went early and left after 3 hours before we were asked to pay. You can place your towels down on the sand if you wish, however I believe the beaches in this area are full of sunbeds owned by hotels. Next time we would prefer to be near beaches free from this.
In the hotel fair enough there are more modern renovated rooms, which we could’ve paid extra for when booking, however I didn’t think the extra charge was worth it when you only sleep in it. We were given a standard first floor room across the road nearer the kids pool, however it was very peaceful, in fact we found the whole hotel fairly peaceful considering it was the summer holidays.
Other reviews I have read mention not many English holiday here, and I have to agree,, we only met a handful of English people during our stay, it really didn’t affect our stay, however we believe German guests seem to keep a lot of hotels standards in check.
we found the food was very good, excellent choice for everyone, we paid the extra for the bbq night, which was lovely, however there was limited amount that the kids wanted to eat and we would’ve been better off eating in restaurant and still enjoyed the evening entertainment.
All staff were extremely polite and helpful, our boys especially liked the guy on the pool bar, I believe this was Aris/Aras.
We would like to thank Despacina for helping us book some excursions, she was very knowledgeable and spoke fantastic English. We would definitely recommend the bbq boat trip to Spinalonga.
In all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area.

Myself and partner have just returned from another fantastic 2 weeks at this hotel in Crete. This was our third time at the hotel; since our last visit in 2019 the hotel has undergone some very tasteful changes which include completely redesigned swimming pool, sunbathing area and outdoor pool bar. Outdoor dining areas overlooking the pool and gardens have been added which enhance the all-inclusive dining experience. The food is exceptional, with international cuisine and à la carte dining. Our room was tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with a beautiful modern bathroom with a walk-in shower; we also had a balcony with a sea view. The staff at the hotel made our holiday very special, they are always willing to help, are courteous and very welcoming. The restaurant service was superb with Nasos the Maître d'hôtel and his team. The poolside bar was very popular during the day with Giorgio the barman keeping eveyone entertained during the day, and the lovely Olga a star in the evening. This hotel has everything you want in a holiday.

Our stay at the hotel was amazing. We came as fresh husband and wife on our honeymoon vacation and were surprised with a beautiful room with red roses and a bottle of white wine.

During our stay we spent many days at the pool. The staff at the bar were very friendly and had good knowledge of all drinks. Special thanks to Arris and Nasos for being so friendly and providing good service!!

The food was good every day, diverse and always just enough for what you need. I hoped for a few more drinks at the restaurant , but there was enough you could chose from. Good beer, wine and soft drinks.

For the BBQ evening we were first a bit confused about the 15 euro payment however this was definitely worth it! Great food, more than enough
And a good Greek show with fireworks and a nice party.

We also used the SPA which was amazing. Great scrub and massage.

There's a good excursion agent around the corner and stores , beach and restaurants are close.

Additionally special thanks for the housekeeping who are doing a great job of keeping everything fresh and clean. They are very friendly as well. The place was never crowded any never any wait line.

We will definitely be coming back here.

Arrived just before dinner ended so we were encouraged to eat first and then check in afterwards.
Check in all straight forward. On arrival the reception building and restaurant is all very clean and modern looking with a boutique feel to it.
Hotel manager was friendly and efficient.
We booked a family suite as we wanted two separate bedrooms and this is where the tale of two halves come in.
One side of the road has the modern buildings with large balconies and lovely walkways to meander through. Modern patio doors and windows with thick curtains to block out the early sunshine.
Across the road are the family suites in an entirely different block dating from the 80s/90’s in appearance. All heavy dark wood furniture. Old slated wooden doors and shutters, mostly damaged here and there.
Flimsy pieces of material for curtains and a balcony no wider than a chair. We had 3 chairs stacked on top of each other and a table which we couldn’t even put out. Every time we opened the shutters we had to move the chairs and table!!!
It’s a real shame this block wasn’t refurbished too.

You do have to put your towels out early if you want a sunbed around the main pool. Unfortunately not enough parasols only 8 for the whole pool! So you either cook in the morning and are completely shaded by palms in the afternoon or sat in the shade in the morning and fry in the afternoon depending on which side your sunbed is.

Would I return? Probably not, as the hotel, although only a very short stroll to the nearest beach is not a beach front hotel. Which means you will have to pay for a sunbed every time you want to go to the beach as pretty much all the beach front in Stalida is manned by either hotels or restaurants. Very little if any public space to even put a towel down.

On the positive side the food was plentiful, fresh and tasty.
The bar area in the evening was a nice place to sit and chill.
Being able to swim in the pool late at night was an added bones.
The staff were great, nothing too much trouble for them.

I love this hotel from our very late check in, the staff made us welcome with food and drinks as well as helping us to our our rooms. I don’t eat pork and the hotel had lots for me to eat with food labelled well. They assisted us with a boat trip and had local cabs on speed dail. We 7 black women felt safe and had so much fun on a fabulous girls trip. It’s about 10 mins drive into the main town with the clubs and there was a lot to do with the season just ending. Hotel was clean and drinks strong. The 6 course meal at the restaurant was so delicious I only wish I had space for it all.

Only little snags is I wish they swept the floors daily in the room but they always replaced the towels, for the pool you need to bring your own beach towel or purchase one from the many shops a stones throw away from the hotel.

After a terrible time with flights and arriving at the hotel late, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and snacks and drinks. The two weeks we spent the food was amazing, good variety and always fresh! The Greek selection was lovely. The pool bar Harry was the highlight of our holiday, always remembering our names and a great laugh. Loved Katrina such a lovely girl. Whisky sours are to dream for! Big shout out to Victoria, Georgio and Markella the restaurant staff always so welcoming and so hard working.

Georgio the maintenance guy is so funny watch out for the water splash’s, all good banter.

Would recommend the BBQ night it’s charged at €15 per adult it’s a great night!

Pool is lovely lots of sun beds and plenty of bar seats to sit and lovely and laid back atmosphere day and night.

No real child entertainment but my 6 year old loved the two night the hotel put on. But if your after full on children entertainment this is not the hotel for you.

We traveled with two adults, two teens and a 6 year old 100% would return to this hotel it 20 min walk to Malia one way and 5 min to Stalis. So the options are ideal.
