Nestled near Zion National Park, The Lodge at Zion Country garners acclaim for its idyllic location, stunning vistas, and easy access to local dining. While experiences with value differ, with some guests finding it reasonable and others a tad costly, the spacious and comfortable rooms with impressive views are a highlight, despite occasional remarks about them being dated. Cleanliness throughout the property receives high marks, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Service is notably efficient, and amenities like the pool and proximity to park adventures are well-regarded, though some suggest the breakfast area could use a refresh.

I cannot write enough good things about this hotel. Everything was perfect. The pool is to die for and the best in Springdale by far, I used it every day! The view from any angle is stunning. If anything, stay here for the pool. The room was sparkling clean, no spots on any of the towels/sheets/pillows (I always check!). A remarkable amount of outlets for charging devices.

Since we're in the time of Covid they could not offer the buffet but did provide bagged breakfasts'. They were even kind enough to give me one at 3am when I had to hit the road early to get a parking spot in the park. Speaking of Covid, you enter the rooms from the outside so you aren't walking in hallways and passing other people or touching anything that isn't yours.

The ONLY downside is my room was right across from the pool. I spent all my days in the park so I went to bed between 8-9pm every night and could hear noise from it BUT it's not a complaint, just an FYI. It's understandable kids are enjoying the pool and at the end of the day I would have rather been closer to the pool and lobby than ask to move rooms so I stayed. The AC running helped block the noise.

The workers were very kind and accommodating and the location can't be beat. I truly loved this hotel, it's the best one I've ever stayed at (in general I love the Wyndham hotels) and when I visit Zion again I will come back to La Quinta.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel January 8Th. The ladies at the desk who checked me in were very warm and welcoming. Check in was quick and easy. I appreciate the fact they only allow 1 person per family in the lobby at a time and they required masks. There is an automatic hand sanitize station at the desk so you sanitize before and after checking in.

When we booked there were no single king beds available so we decided to splurge and get what they call a family suite. This gave us the king bed we wanted instead of 2 queen beds. Room also has a bunk bed so it would be awesome for families.

We are so glad we splurged. the room had tons of space and a little sitting area outside the bedroom with amazing views. The room was very clean. Even the coffee maker was clean and we all know that's the one thing that gets overlooked.

All the employees that we had come across during our stay were very friendly.

Check out was easy. Just called the desk to let them know and they left the keys in the room.

We can't wait to get back in the spring.

I don't often leave reviews but La Quinta included some small details that really made our experience so great! The location is wonderful with just a short walk or shuttle ride to Zion and restaurants shops in short walking distance, and it's surrounded by incredible views of the mountains on all sides - just beautiful! But they also had benches in the shade just outside our room (and many rooms), and tables often in the shade outside the breakfast building, that gave us an easy, great option for sitting and reading or playing games during down time. The pool also was wonderful with about 5-6 cabanas for shade that my family of 4 could lounge in poolside during down time. The pool wasn't crazy crowded and was very enjoyable. They also have a building that offers tours and equipment for Zion (we rented equipment right there to hike the Narrows and it was easy and reasonably priced)! The rooms and beds were very comfortable too! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go again!

My husband, kids, and I had remarked on the morning of the last day how pleased we were with our hotel's location and the value for the price paid. The trip is not our first visit to Zion, but our first time staying at this hotel. All that said, I have NEVER been so mistreated and disappointed to the customer service at any hotel. We were treated so disrespectfully I am sorry I gave them my hard-earned money to stay there. Here are the details:

After our morning hike @ Zion NP (on our final day), we returned to the hotel at 10:40 to change clothes (we just finished The Narrows) before we headed to the airport. When we arrived, I unlocked the door with my key card to find a man in my room. I asked him what he was doing in the room and where were my things (the dry clothes) we had left in the room. He was an employee and stated i could not enter because the room had been cleaned. Of course, I had many follow-up questions, but wasn't about to enter a room where a guy I didn't know was telling me I had no right to be there. I went to the guest services/lobby to find out what the deal was. The woman there told me one of my guests had checked us out at 8:30 and that was that, any property left in the room was discarded. At this time, my husband came in and we both insisted we caught the 6AM shuttle in Zion and were actively hiking in the river at the time with our two kids, so no one checked us out. She was extremely rude and gave us the "too bad, so sad" routine. I asked her to get a manager. She told me no manager was on duty. I asked her to call a manager and after several requests she did. I was let back into the room briefly, but our clothes were not there and neither was a brand-new soccer ball we had purchased the night before (really not the biggest deal, just the point). We did see the bag and soccer buried under trash in a big clear trash bag amidst everyone else's trash, so we didn't dig for it.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham at Zion Park/Springdale. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent any future occurrences. We sincerely apologize that your room was checked out with out your knowledge, however at approximately 830am of your departure date and young male child came into the lobby and returned two room keys. The clerk then verified the room keys on our key machine and they were for your room so she thought you had checked out. Please note housekeeping did not throw away any of your belongings nor did they find anything left in the room when they cleaned it. The gentleman that was in the room when you came back at 1058am (check out is at 11am) was the room checker (checks the room after the housekeeper cleans it). We appreciate the time you took to share your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Sincerely, Jennifer Gully General Manager La Quinta Zion lq6586gm@laquinta.com 435-627-5280

Let preface this review with the fact that I mostly write very positive reviews, but this experience with staff members is one I won't forget. The hotel room, the grounds, and the pool are great, but the interactions I had with staff members are horrible. I get it it's a captive market. No real competition. The hotel is a 5 minute bike ride to Zion main gate. Let me start with the check in. I was told that I must have a mask on to come into the building. For some reason this is the only place in Utah that makes a person wear a mask. The couple working the front desk when I checked claimed the entire city of Springdale was still under a mask order. I walked into a number of places including all the shops around the entrance to Zion and no one asked me to put a mask on. Then to make matters worse after check in. I walked into the hotel lobby a few hours later to buy a bottle of drink and Ryan, the front desk night guy, practically screamed at me to put on a mask. I ignored him and put the bottle on the desk to pay for it with my hand still on the bottle he put his hand on it and took it from me and said you aren't buying it unless you have a mask on. Not very nice people. The hotel still doesn't offer a hot breakfast, just a crappy plastic container of crap. If you're going to be "Covid Safe" then go all out. Have a contactless check in. Don't ask to touch my ID and Credit Card with staff's dirty hands- this practice isn't safe, Marriot never touches my cards. Don't hand me a dirty pen and tell me to sign with it. Don't close your lobby bathrooms and tell me it's because of Covid- where I'm I to wash my hands? Stayed at another La Quinta in Kanab the next night. A completely different experience with staff. So, expect a nice place to stay just have very low expectations of front desk staff and be prepared to pay a high priced premium to stay there.

Dear Mr. Williams, We truly apologize your stay was not as satisfactory as it should be. I have shared your comments with the front desk staff. Thank you for letting us know. For breakfast, at this time it is a to go box which contains juice, fruit, bagel & cream cheese, packaged baby carrots, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and a granola bar. Our bathrooms are not closed for Covid, however may have been closed for a short period for cleaning depending on the time of the day. Springdale does ask for masks to be worn as per the signs as you drive into the town of Springdale and the park requires them as well for the shuttle and standing in the lines for the shuttles. Some businesses may not require them any longer, however each business is owned and operated by different ownership's and will have different policies. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to get back to normal soon. We appreciate the time you took to leave your feedback, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future. Again, we truly apologize that your stay was not satisfactory as this is never our intentions.

Very good location , close to restaurants and the Springdale shuttle stop v close . 10 min walk to the park entrance if you preferred to walk . The room was recently remodeled, good size , very clean , comfortable beds . We previously sent an email requesting a room upstairs & they honored our request. We checked in with David who was v friendly & nice compared with the other front desk staff.m
Disliked · The blankets were old , fraying, threads hanging down , at one point probably they were white , now a dirty white . For breakfast you had to chose : frozen burrito , oatmeal or cereal , milk , OJ . You got 1 orange , 1 granola bar. The burrito when heated was just a mass of gooey, chewy mess , totally uneatable. When I mentioned it to George at the front desk , I was rudely told that ,,it is free” & if we did not like it we should have felt free to go to eat to one of the restaurants in town ( by the way , we did it for 3 days ). Maybe George needs to be reminded that the breakfast price is included in the hotel price . It seems that the breakfast is mentioned a lot in negative comments & the manager is not doing anything about , blaming it on COVID & saving a lot of $ this way .We are at Best Western plus in Bryce now & they have a buffet style warm breakfast . I suggest that the La Quinta manager to call / or visit The Best Western Plus to learn how to manage to offer a good breakfast & increase her hotel ratings . You would think a manager would do everything to have satisfied customers & good ratings . Not this manager . She just gives stereotype answers to people’s complains and nothing changes ! The ladies at the front desk were unfriendly, gave the impression that they do you a favor by talking with you ( this is also something v frequently mentioned in the hotel reviews) ! Do they realize that they have a pay check because customers come there ?
We paid over $200/night . For this price one would think they could provide quality blankets , not frayed & dirty looking and a decent breakfast .

I took one star off because the walls are really thin, and if you’re a light sleeper you might struggle sleeping here. I highly recommend that you try to get a room on the second floor. We were woken up on our first morning by kids running around in the room above us.

I took another star off because one reason we booked this hotel was that every hotel website said the hotel allowed late check out for a fee. I called the front desk the day before check out and asked if we could check out at 1:00 PM instead of 11:00 AM and was told that they weren’t allowing late check outs. I asked if I could pay a fee and the lady said no. This was surprising because most of the rooms in our building were vacant. I think it’s because they’re really understaffed with cleaning workers right now. We saw several small kids most likely 10 or younger helping with the room cleaning, so I’m guessing they need as much time as possible to turn over the rooms.

My experiences with La Quinta hotels has always been terrible, so I was surprised to see that this location had pretty good reviews. Here’s what it has going for it: great location and views, the outside of the hotel is very nice, and the inside of our room was pretty clean with a couple of exceptions. The pool is fun, includes lots of chairs for lounging, and has a great view.

Second floor rooms on the front side have the best views. A little pricey, but it is to be expected due to being so close to the Zion National Park entrance. We visited 5 parks and stayed in several different hotels with varying levels of Covid precautions. I think this property went a little too far. Only one person per party was allowed in the lobby at a time and only one person could pick up the prepackaged breakfast bags. The breakfast burritos were edible but not really very tasty.

To be fair we were booked (or thought we were at a different, more upscale hotel) so we were a little letdown from the start. However, everything was just fine, not amazing by any standards, but the room did appear to be clean and we weren't lacking anything really. A couple things that could have made it better: breakfast service everywhere has changed with the pandemic, but it would be nice if there was a bit more variance from day to day. We stayed two nights, but I think it you stayed a week, you'd be getting the exact same grab and go breakfast each and every day. It could be altered a bit to add a little variety. I tried to get a cup of hot water (and tea) later in the evening after being in the park and being chilled, it doesn't seem like providing an evening warm beverage service would be too difficult and there aren't options to get elsewhere in town, especially on foot. They also don't have any maps for the park available as some other hotels do, just the one on display. It's sometimes little things that make the difference between a good and great experience. The following morning I also didn't appreciate maid service hovering outside our doors awaiting our departure, especially when we weren't even close to departure time, but hours earlier. I am sure because of covid they are happy to get more time, but it was an annoyance. As stated it was just perfectly adequate, not great, but also not bad. But located in a very beautiful setting.

First off, this place really is paradise. The exterior of the building is in great shape, great design and layout, and even though most rooms don’t have balconies, there’s plenty of benches in front of many of the rooms that look right straight at the red rocks. The pool and hot tub are great as advertised. The location itself is completely stunning in terms of views and proximity to all of Springdale. The grey haired gentleman (wish I remember his name) who checked us in was great as well. Obviously the rooms themselves aren’t really upscale, altho very clean. For people who want to pay more elsewhere, Springdale has plenty of more luxurious rooms. The one thing my friend and I completely hated here were the 2 queen mattresses. You’ll occasionally see reviewers on TA say that a hotels mattresses are too firm or soft for their liking, these were neither. Both of our queen beds were both EXTREMELY lumpy, with a myriad of peaks and valleys and literally no way to get comfortable. It’s very clear the hotel is WAY overdue on replacing mattresses. I’m on the verge of rebooking this place for this winter, but may call first to make sure this otherwise gem of a hotel still doesn’t have mattresses that have seen much, much better days.

We didn’t use the city shuttle — we drove to the Visitor Center and parked. If you get going early enough you can find a space. You can also walk from La Quinta to Visitor Center — I say about 20 minutes. Crowds should be smaller in Oct so getting on shuttle shouldn’t be a problem. The stop is very near La Quinta entrance but don’t remember number. Please bear in mind that there will be a line to get on the Park shuttle so the earlier you go the better. Check hotel for breakfast time but should be plenty early.
