The Garden Place Hotel enjoys a prime location favored by many for its proximity to highways, shops, and dining options, though some guests suggest a shuttle service for further attractions. While the hotel's unique, vintage Italian atmosphere appeals to certain travelers, others feel it's dated and recommend refurbishment. Guest experiences with the rooms and service show a stark contrast, with reports of cleanliness concerns and inconsistent staff responsiveness overshadowing the occasional praise for room size and comfort. Moreover, the hotel's amenities and value proposition have come under scrutiny, with visitors often finding the offerings overpriced and not up to expected standards.

Excellent service. Beautiful hotel. This is a beautiful boutique hotel for a chain price. We usually stay at IHG properties but Salvatore’s Garden Place was priced competitively and offered a much more aesthetically pleasing experience. Book a suite, they’re well worth a few extra dollars. The emperor suite is big enough to dance in if you’re so inclined. The dine and stay packages are a great value as well. You won’t be sorry if you stay and dine with Salvatore’s Hospitality.

My partner and I absolutely loved our two night stay at the Garden Place Hotel. We stayed in the king suite with a jetted tub in the room and let me tell you, it is absolutely 100% worth it! After a long day of walking around Niagara Falls I had been somewhat sore and the jetted tub made me feel so beyond relaxed it was amazing. The bed was comfy and the jetted tub in the room really topped our stay. The staff still provided breakfast and due to Covid there was not a lot but there was still a variety! They took the time to put cereals in separate bowls and yogurt with granola. They also had an egg and cheese sandwich, waffles, and bagels and they had a toaster right next to this items to be warmed up. The staff was absolutely magnificent. Everyone here is so nice especially including the housekeeping. This hotel is also only 20-30 minutes to Niagara Falls and I’m so glad we chose this location because there’s also room service and a restaurant down the street! There are also plenty of fast food places and restaurants near by. Thank you Garden Place Hotel for giving us a magnificent stay! We will most definitely be staying again in the future.

My partner and I rented a last minute King Sized bedroom for one night, from a third party website, for a great price. We were up in Buffalo purchasing a car.

The room came with a Jacuzzi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and we could hardly sleep. The mattress has been dented in the middle from loads of people sleeping in it, I'm sure, and was painful for both of our backs. They gave us a really thin sheet as a blanket. Not my favorite sleeping experience. The room itself could use some design updates.

A cold breakfast was included (no hot meals because COVID), including fruits, cereal, and some bagels with cream cheese. I would have been able to eat some cereal had they offered some oatmilk, almond milk, etc as I am plant based. I don't know how COVID has affected the hotel industry, and I imagine that once upon a time, Garden Place had a great hot breakfast to match the incredible visuals in the dining room, but alas! I truly wouldn't know.

The highlight of my stay was the front desk staff on duty, Nick, who kindly offered his own snowscraper from his own car to me, as I didn't yet have one for my recently purchased car. It's people like this that reflect the soul of a hotel, and the reason for my 4 star rating. Had I paid the original price of $200+ for the room, I would have rated this place 3 stars.

Make sure to present you gift card or packages upon checkin as the hotel agent did not note it on the booking as the desk clerk was very perturbed with is as a result. Perhaps her customer service skills should be reviewed as how to properly check in guests and ask “what brings you to us” or “did you book a package with is?” Being a professional in the service industry as well it was a small error that could have been avoided.
Furthermore upon entering the room the overwhelming smell of pot was lingering from the room next door into ours. When we called the desk to see if any other room was available, the clerk stated “remove the stick in the window to air it out and they will deal with the other guests.” I assume her dealing with the other guests was to ignore me entirely as it continued throughout the night.

The rooms were very old and outdated, definitely not worth the price, as It felt like a low budget hotel with a lack for service.

Upon booking this reservation, I had high expectations. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was terrible, not informative about the facility, breakfast times or what they offer. They basically tell you theres a $150 deposit, sign this and here's your room key. The comforter had blood stains on it. I decided to clean the jacuzzi before I got in and used a cup to rinse it out, but the hot water was literally brown. I ran the water for at least five minutes before it became clear. The carpet had stains and the bathroom mirrors were dirty. Furniture was worn and chipped. The hotel was non smoking, yet smelled like a chimney. Housekeeping came knocking on my door before check out and while I had a do not disturb sign on door. Not what I expected, the nerve of them to even hold a $150 deposit. The owners need to invest more time into employee training, business ethics and the property.

We just came back from an overnight stay and even though there is still some charm, the lack of repair a d maintenance will deter us from ever going back. We had stayed there several times years ago in the King Jacuzzi suite, but if recent had stayed at the Delvan and the 3rd location. This year we decided to stay at the Garden Place as it had been awhile. I have one statement to say to the owners..."You do realize that people pay hard earned money to stay at your hotel and because of this, sometimes repairs and replacements are needed and should be done so people travelling from other areas are shocked at what they see when they check in to their rooms. In our case, we werent expecting anything posh and elaborate but we were expecting the room to be clean and maintained and isnt that what goes hand and hand with being a good service provider?
The headboard had so many gauges and clawmarks and it looked as if maybe a cat fight had taken place in the room. The night side tables both had significant paint peeling off to the extent that the too layer was warped. The windows were full of mould. The shower controls were all but falling off and rusty..needless to say, it took me 10 minutes to get a decent water temperature. Then there were white stains on the carpet, lots of them. I dont even want to think about what they were.
At the buffet, the juice was watered down, the sausages were cold and rubbery from being oreheated and the danishes/pastries seemed as if they saw the insude if a fridge or freezer a few too many times
Anytime we go to Buffalo, we stay at one of Salvatores location. Its always been a given but after this stay, and considering how many hotels are in the area, next time we will opt for a hotel chain that will put alittle pride in the product they charge for. See pics

We stayed for a wedding. When arrived to check in at 3:45 p.m., (3 pm check in), there was a line of approx. 25 people waiting to check in. There were 4 employees checking people in. This was the absolute slowest check in process I have ever seen. We waited in line for 25 mins and it took another 10 to actually check in. We were one of the lucky ones, and our room was ready, as many peoples rooms were not. Another couple that was there for the same wedding was first given a room only to find it was not cleaned from the night before. They returned to the front desk and were given a second room. When they arrived at that room, they found another couple already in the room. The 3rd time was finally the charm for them.
The rooms are a bit dated and in need of a update. The room was very clean. When the people in the room above us were using the hot tub, it was so loud we could barely hear the television, (which are 15 year old flat screens.)

The employees were all very nice, and we could tell they were as frustrated as the waiting guests. We did use the shuttle service and it worked very well.

Lastly, I had booked the room through Priceline.com and paid in full months earlier. When checking in, the desk had no record of the room being paid for, and they charged my card for the room. I then had to contact Priceline directly, and they had to call the hotel and get them to reverse the charges on my card.
Probably will not be staying there again.

We really enjoyed our overnight here. I would give more stars if not for the issue with the getaway package we booked. We booked the Bath and Bubbles getaway which included a room with a jetted tub, bottle of sparkling wine, a bath bomb and dinner for two. When we checked in we were given the gift card for dinner but were put in a room with only a shower. There was also no bottle of wine. When I asked the front desk they told me there were no more jetted tub rooms left (we booked online). This is a serious flaw in your website. I do appreciate that we were given a voucher for two free drinks and chocolate covered strawberries for our room but if I hadn’t brought this to anyone’s attention I would have been charged for a package I really did not get which hardly seems fair. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet even though it was nearly fully booked which I appreciated. We would likely come back if we could be guaranteed to get the package we paid for.

I would have given this place high reviews, but their lack of cleanliness in the dining area is inexcusable in the age of COVID. I went there for breakfast and noticed tables were turning over but no staff was in sight to clean them, nor was there spray cleaner available to customers to clean the tables themselves. I brought my concerns to the front desk, and they led me to believe the issue would be addressed, but the next morning it was the same story: no staff, no cleaning items available. The heat in the room was difficult to control - not sure if it was unique to my room or just peculiarities of the heat controls. If you wish to go here check Hotwire for a 3.5 star Buffalo Airport North hotel - it is likely this one and you may see a great rate.

Here are my reasons for the 1 star review:

1) Room service is not tasty and very overpriced

2) Not Clean: Prior guest’s hair was left across the shower floor, which I discovered in the early AM getting ready for my day— When I called the front desk they said I could wait 3 hours for the cleaning team to clock in and call again, or switch rooms if I wanted to shower now. Having somewhere to be I switched. The new room had a stained pillow but I was tired of complaining.

3) Bad service: Lugging bags up/down the stairs to switch rooms that early (4:30a) was a lot, so I asked the desk attendant for help— I’m also 23 wks pregnant— but he just pointed out the luggage carts. He WATCHED me load everything onto a cart myself. We were the only two there. After a while, he thought twice about it and asked me if I still wanted help once I was rolling it away, but by then it was pointless… Later on, a more helpful attendant offered to help me shovel my car out of the snow and went to get his jacket, but he never actually showed up outside and I had to do that myself too.

4) Poor Management: I was told to direct my issues with the room to “Danielle,” Both attendants I interacted with mentioned notifying her about the issues with my stay. Ultimately I tried to talk to her 3 times, including at checkout, but she never showed up or got back to me. I have no idea why she refused to help me as a guest.

5) Loud: Muzak throughout the halls plays 24/7 and can be heard clearly through the doors of your room. Never experienced this before. People like to sleep in quiet. Room TVs do not work at all (neither room I was in worked) and so I had to use my laptop to drown out the music and earplugs later to sleep.

Despite everything, I was patient with and polite to everyone. I honestly feel scammed out of money. I didn’t want to pay full price for a dirty room + many inconveniences, but the refusal of management to even acknowledge me forced me to check out without any accommodation for my bad experience or restoration of good will. No one ever even gave a simple apology.

Moral of the story: Don’t stay here!! There are plenty of other hotels in the immediate area.
