Two of us stayed a standard queen room the night of May 4th for the big Sounders match. This was our first time staying at the Moore and we chose to stay here due to its affordability and location, and I was very impressed! Check-in/out was seamless and I was so happy to walk into a spotless, modern hotel room with a view overlooking Second Ave. After we got back from the match (around 10pm) we had to be buzzed in by the front desk which helped me feel safer knowing that extra layer of security is there. In the morning before checking out, we just went to the Moore Coffee shop next door and had a delicious waffle breakfast with a horchata latte. Highly recommend the coffee shop if you are staying here. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here the next time we find ourselves in Seattle for the night.

For the location, the price was great, the atmosphere was interesting, and the staff was very kind. Located right downtown, two blocks from Pike Place Market, and from the Link train to the airport and the monorail to the Space Needle. There were lots of restaurants nearby. The gleaming white tiles on the outside were beautiful; inside, the hotel was fairly basic but clean. They very helpfully had a place to leave luggage after you checked out, and that was really helpful since I was on a redeye flight and spent the day sightseeing.
The room was huge, with a very high ceiling, furnished minimally, but there was a table and chairs in addition to the beds, and plenty of outlets. The wifi worked well. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and all very clean. The bathroom was also large, with a walk-in shower (i.e. no bathtub), the water pressure was o.k. No counter around the sink, so you only had the sink edges to put stuff. Bathroom was very clean also. My room faced the street, so there was normal city noise, but otherwise it was quiet.
There was a coffee shop next store that I would have liked to try for breakfast, but I had an appointment elsewhere.
I had never been to Seattle, and wasn't aware that the center part of the city is on a cliff above the harbor, and there aren't many ways to get up to the top without climbing a lot of stairs. Take a taxi to the hotel, until you figure out the layout!

This is an old fashion hotel WITHOUT air conditioning. Windows open and allow cool Seattle breezes to enter the room. We were there when the outside temps reached a high of 73 degrees during the day so it wasn’t bad at all. A little advise if your room faces the west. Keep the shades closed in the afternoon or your room gets pretty warm. The location is great and is close to most of the downtown tourist attractions. All of them are walkable if you are in to doing your steps. The room we had was basic but very clean and comfortable. Bathroom is small with a high step into the shower. Water pressure was adequate but would vary sometimes so you needed to constantly correct the water temperature. The beds were very comfortable. The room had a small flat screen television that worked just fine. There is one small elevator to take you to your floor. The people working there were all great. All were cheerful and helpful. Now the drawbacks. It can be quite noisy from the street traffic and people talking loudly. We were on the 6th floor and even with the windows closed it was very loud. The Moore Theater is housed in the building and has concerts. When it lets out it gets extremely noisy until the crowd dissipates. All noise seems to go away after 1am with the occasional crazy person yelling at no one in particular. We were there for a long weekend so I don’t know what the noise level is from Monday thru Thursday nights. There was no coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board/iron, or refrigerator in the room if you are use to having one in your room. There might be in a more deluxe or larger room. There are many places to eat in the area. No fast foods for the kids although there is a McDonalds about 2 blocks away.

Great location, clean room and comfortable bed. Toiletries provided in bathroom but safe and tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been a nice touch also. Owner was very brusk at check in and there was no welcoming smile or "welcome to the Moore/Seattle" just, "can I have your credit card?"and concerned on getting signature on form to agree no smoking in room and 'no visitors' as well as reiterating it verbally during check in. Also very keen to get $100 deposit for incidentals when they don't offer any incidentals! Claw foot bath tub is a nice touch as were the tiles grab rail would have been nice to help getting in and out of bath to shower, shower rail was loose. Decor overall very dated in corridor and my room, not at all like the photos on the website so not sure if in process of refurbishment. Reception a bit bleak and not very welcoming. I was on 6th floor but on one evening there was a loud concert on in the theatre attached, sounded like I was directly over it, very noisy. Overall okay if you just want a clean bed for the night in downtown, however, $140 per night was expensive compared to night at London Heathrow for £106 where room had t/c facilities, safe, iron and ironing board and in house restaurant. Just a lot for what you got.

Wife, toddler, and I stayed her for two nights in late September. We booked the suite that included a kitchenette and small dinning/seating area. The room was well appointed with dishes, cups, induction range, and microwave. These amenities are really nice to have when traveling with a toddler. The views outside weren't that great as our room was rear facing.

Our suite was clean but the hallways were dimly lit. Would be more inviting if it was brighter. Also, the lifts took forever. We tried our best to make use of the stairs since our room was on the third floor.

The hotel location is interesting in that it's a bit "sketchy" (vacant buildings nearby in disrepair, Catholic shelter next door) but walk one street down and everything looks high end. We, however, in no way felt unsafe.

Overall, good value hotel that offer plenty of amenities for family traveling with young child. It's centrally located to all the tourist trap areas and eats. Not too far of a walk from the transit line that connects to SEATEC.

The More Hotel is a fading find. If you want luxury, this is not your hotel. The Hotel dates to 1907 and is basic. BUT the location is excellent--nea Pike Market and most other sights. Walking distances are short. It is also very near Seattle's Link Rail (a five minute walk from the Westlake Station). The Link is an easy and cheap way to get to/from the airport. The Hotel does not have a dining room. There is a basic coffee shop next door where you can buy bagels, waffles, etc. for breakfast. We believe they also serve light fare (Mexican) at lunch. The rooms in the upper part of the back of the hotel are clean and quite, The staff is very helpful. Our only complaint was the high step to get in and out of the tub/shower. This could be problem for elderly people with mobility problems. If you want an inexpensive hotel with a great location, we rcommend the Moore

My family stayed at this hotel for one night before boarding a cruise ship. We primarily chose it for its central location and also it was reasonable in price compared to others in the Pike Place Market area. The front desk staff were very helpful in getting us checked in and arranging a transfer to the cruise pier the next morning. They also stored our luggage in the morning after checkout since we couldn't board the cruise ship until later in the day. This hotel is very old with very high ceilings, a tiny elevator and no air conditioning or breakfast. However, the windows do open and our room had two fans in the closet that we used, and we were quite comfortable with high temperatures in the 70's.

Built in 1907 and not much has changed there since. Clean and comfortable but lacks some common conveniences. Bathroom has old style freestanding tub. I actually did without a shower as I am a senior and did not want to risk slipping and falling. There was no microwave, no refrigerator, no coffee maker. There was a television and WI-FI. On the plus side the location is excellent, a couple of blocks from Pikes Market and the price was lower than many in that area. There is a light rail station a few blocks away and we were able to get from SeaTac Airport to the hotel for a $3 light rail fare on the Sound Transit light rail. We only needed an overnight stay as we were arriving early to catch a cruise ship the next day and it served that purpose very well for us. The location made for an entertaining evening in the harbor side area around Pike’s Market.

We stayed at the Moore hotel a few days before our Alaskan Cruise. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a historic hotel in Seattle in a great location. We walked everywhere while in town. It is very close to Pike's Place. We enjoyed eating at the Virginia Inn which is a couple blocks from the hotel. We stayed in a connecting room and it worked out great for our group. A room on each side with a connecting bathroom gave just enough privacy, but also we were able to be together. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Seattle. There isn't any air conditioning, but it wasn't an issue for us during the time of our stay. They do have fans in the room.

This hotel is in a short walking distance to the waterfront and many shops and restaurants. The coffee shop is adorable and has delicious coffees teas and pastries. This is exactly what we needed for an overnight stay in Seattle on our way to see the Pacific Northwest. We had to pay $36 for the parkingDeck they recommend it even though they said it would be $25. After the fact it seems like other people were getting coupons from the front desk but no one told us about this.
