Property's Favourite Review
As others have noted, the units are dated, so don't expect "brand new". There is only a portable A/C in the bedroom, but it worked fine and kept our sleeping area comfortably cool. We were impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was--we mainly cooked our own meals while there, and there were plenty of pots and pans, accessories, dishware, glassware, etc.
I'm sure many have had the experience of having maintenance issues, calling the front desk, and being told "we'll send someone" only to wait hours or even days for service--that's NOT this place. We had some TV and internet issues, and after calling the front desk, someone was at our door within MINUTES!! Problems were addressed and worked fine for the rest of our stay.
Speaking of the front desk, the front desk staff were fantastic!! Mae and Kaysha were always ready with a smile and a happy greeting, and Mae especially really knows the island and gave us many excellent recommendations for trips, hikes, eating places, etc.
It's a short walk from the resort to Poipu Beach, which is lovely and has the added feature of having sea turtles coming in to rest in the sand every night--fascinating!
The Greenbelt that runs through the property make for an easy walk to the Grand Hyatt and other places.
For those who want to play tennis (or pickleball), there are several courts and pick up games are easily arranged.
All in all a most enjoyable time.

Great location. Well-supplied kitchen. No cleaning services during your stay so you must wash your sheets and towels, sweep and vacuum and then $165 for the next group. They have multiple complexes and you don’t know where you’re going to be placed. Our assigned pool was closed for 4 days. Note they’ve eliminated the bed size choice (Queen or King) when booking!

We flew in on a Saturday evening and by the time we reached the location it was past 7 pm. The office was closed but they have a concierge phone and a set of lockers below it. Calling the call center gave us the locker combination. They had left us the keys, a map and directions to our unit!! Great beginning we thought! And it was! The one bedroom garden view apartment was large and spacious. Enough for even three or four people. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cutlery. There were even two beach chairs you could use!! Poipu beach, one of the sunniest and most beautiful beaches is just a short walk away through the well-manicured pathways. Beautiful! Fantastic location near a whole bunch of restaurants in Poipu and nearby Kaloa. There is even a Farmers Market nearby on Wednesdays with the freshest vegetables you have ever seen anywhere. There were even Pineapples for which there was a line of customers before the Farmers Market opened at 3.30 pm. We enjoyed our stay so much - we highly recommend this place for a stay. We will be back!

I booked this on priceline. Upon arrival hidden fees came out to a total of $400 (some kind of cleaning fee and internet fee). What am i supposed to do at that point? find somewhere else to stay? I couldnt exactly do that so i kept my mouth shut and sucked it up. Also NO A/C here. Rooms are a 1989 time capsule.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! While it may be a great location in Poipu. Their portable air conditioner does NOT work! You pay $180 cleaning fee to empty your own trash and wash your own towels/linens! Plus take out trash of prior guests What? Sadly I’m not kidding! Electrical outlets do NOT work! WIFI does NOT work! Lights in bathroom do NOT work! Reported it several times and not even a single call back. Never again!!!!!

Location is great!
5 min walking distance to Poipu beach. Units have everything you need in the kitchen and laundry and also have beach equipment , which is very convenient!
Staff is helpful and accommodating.

When booking on this property you are given whatever condo is available, and we ended up in a VERY poorly maintained condo........one that should not have the Aston name associated with it. On the positive side, whenever we asked for something from the front desk, the response was timely. We booked a one bedroom condo but were told that we needed to be "upgraded" to a two bedroom. The following issues were immediately noticed: the entry door stuck very severely when opened; the ice maker was broken and was not fixed during the 10 days we were there (we made multiple trips to a local market to purchase ice); the stove light was not working and could not be fixed; the carpets are VERY dirty and severely stained; kitchen supplies were "minimal" at best; and finally, although we had a designated parking spot, it was a 150-200 yard walk to our condo from it. Our condo (Regency 411) was far from the quality standards expected from an Aston property. Granted, we cannot speak to the state of the other condos in the community, only to our experience. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend this property to anyone!!!

The room was very dated and not very clean (Rug). Patio door, sink faucet need fixing. Parking was convenient. Beaches were within easy walking distance, 1 beach chair was provided along with 8 beach towels. Recommendation is to stay on the property just not in K411.

We had such a good experience the first time we stayed here that we decided to return. Both times we had a two bedroom, two bathroom unit which was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed. We were close to the pool and only a few minutes walk from the beach. The lanai, overlooking the beautiful grounds, was a pleasant place to enjoy breakfast and some other meals. Good hiking trails are close by. Upon arrival, we were a bit concerned about not having air conditioning, but there was always a good ocean breeze and we ended up feeling comfortable most of the time. We will return!

Poipu Kai was a great location, we loved being in the ocean and swimming with the turtles. We could easily do day trip up to the Canyon and over to the east coast. A lot of great places to eat and buy groceries. Like everywhere, it is getting pricey.

That depends on your condo. I'm not sure but the condo we are staying in is privately owned. This is our third night and not only do we have some "beach chairs" but cockroaches and a smoker above us. With no air conditioning leaving the windows open with a smoker above us does leave us any great options. Not sure you want to risk you're Kauai vacation at this property. I would not recommend it.
No, they are not. However, the temperatures are very comfortable.
The condo we rented had hair dryers and beach towels. Pretty much set up with everything. If you need dish soap, garbage bags, get them from the front office . They are very friendly and helpful. Enjoy!
The folks who have answered got it right! Hawaiian Tropic is the new amenity and you can always get more! It does smell like coconut, so if you are not a coconut nut, we have a substitute.
