All our condominium suites have private decks or balconies to take in the breath taking views over the bay. 1-3 bedroom suites all have full kitchens with granite counters and living rooms with HD Smart TVs and a sleeper sofa. We have a beach with complimentary kayaks and boats, bonfire pit, tennis courts, basketball, playground, fitness center and game room. We have a heated indoor and outdoor pool, and hot tub.
Our family of 8 stayed in the 3 bedroom cabin on the property. The cabin had a view of the water from the living room. It had two bathrooms which was nice as well as air conditioning. There was a pullout sofa in the living room, two kings, and two twin beds. The grounds were lovely and the outdoor pool was heated which is nice. The tennis court is not very playable as it has the tile court versus regular hard court. Also the lake swim area is not very inviting as there was some seaweed/moss, but they do work to clean it. Kayaking is fine, but it is not like swimming in a calm inland lake. I love the rich history they present in the historic lodge. The staff was very friendly and we often went in the lobby area for complimentary coffee, tea, books, and board games.

While most Door County accommodations tend to be wooded with no water view, have little green space, & are on busy roads the Bay Shore Inn is located on a country road with expansive green acreage that is beautifully landscaped and sits on the shores of the bay with incredible sunset views. Condo sizes & views do vary quite a bit but I found calling the front desk in advance to get details on each unit to meet our needs was a great strategy. Our balcony on the first floor was 400 square feet with a partial view of the lake was perfect-we could access our unit (209-2 bedroom/2 bathrooms) via a gate on the balcony/deck so it felt super safe during these times. We found our unit to have most updates completed (ie: stove was an older style, bathroom cabinetry was dated) but overall we were very pleased with the interior. TV's were very large/brand new smart versions so you can use all your streaming services. Our unit had a funky electric fireplace below the TV which with it's changing colors wowed the kids! We mostly ate in(everything there even for a complex dinner to be prepared) but there are many Sturgeon Bay restaurants with outdoor dining/take out we used. Do call restaurants in advance to check on hours, previously published hours may not be accurate. In talking with the front desk, there are many other updates happening in the near future. This is a perfect family location. We found this property to be more reasonably priced than the ones further north in the "hot" cities-we did not miss the crowds, traffic, or lack of water access/views. EXTREMELY clean and they take Covid cleaning recommendations to the highest level. We used the kayaks daily but some of them did need attention for the seats and fresh life jackets could be in order.

We just went to Bay Shore for the a short 3 day trip. We rented a 2 bedroom condo. When we arrived to check in the staff was great they told us due to COVID that they would not come in to make up the rooms but would provide what ever we needed and they di just that. The rooms were very clean and well equipped if you needed to prepare meals. We had a large deck overlooking the water and the outdoor pool which was great. The property itself was well maintained and they provided kayaks and paddle boards for free.The location was good since it is only 30 minutes away from the fun owns in Door County without being stuck in all the congestion

We recently enjoyed another visit to Bay Shore Inn. Summer is Bay Shore’s peak season. Even when the weather is delightfully cool the heated pool is refreshing. The beach and shallow harbor are perfect spots to play in the Bay or launch one of the several kayaks and two paddle boards are available for guests’ use. The large lawn and seating are perfect for watching the spectacular sunsets. The many flavors of coffee in the registration building and indoor pool, hot tub and exercise center are available year-round. Conference rooms are available for meetings or a personal Zoom session. There is a playground for young children, a firepit for smores or just talk, and a tennis court that we did not use on this trip. It is conveniently located near restaurants and attractions in Sturgeon Bay and throughout northern Door County.
The staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed in room 313. It is a roomy, two-bedroom, with king size beds in each, two bath unit with views of the Bay from the living area, both bedrooms and both balconies. Upon entering our eyes were caught by the fresh, colorful artwork depicting scenes of Door County. The full kitchen makes food preparation a breeze. We enjoyed breakfast and relaxation on the balconies. The chairs and beds are comfortable and televisions were in the living area and each bedroom. The room was unbelievably quiet.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Bay Shore Inn.

In this covid year, we delayed our trip to DC (Door County) a few times. But 11/3-11/7 we were at Bay Shore Inn again. This makes our 6th time staying here and as usual, it was perfect. Suite 204 in the north tower, actually our 2nd stay in that suite. Huge super comfy king bed in the master, overly large bathroom, but my wife loves it. Full, well stocked kitchen, large deck with 3 entrances, new lg tv's (3), super clean, spacious, comfy. They installed new electric fire place in the living area, kind of cool, warm, various fire patterns, temp control, etc., really nice touch. Staff was friendly, helpful, attentive to our needs, as they always are. Bay Shore has done improvements throughout the resort, cleared out the brush between the bay and the lawn area, so you can easily get down to the shore from everywhere at the resort. For us this is the perfect place to live on our vacations to DC, and won't be our last. Ooooh, and the sunsets, wow see picture below. WOW

Quiet location. Immaculate grounds. Very clean and spacious interiors (Master bath was enormous!) Staff was VERY accommodating, even providing a blow-up mattress for our comfort. Loved use of bikes, sports equipment, kayaks and more. Enjoyed grilling most evenings and eating on our patio or one of the picnic tables scattered around the property. Lunches easily served up in the kitchen were a plus! Central location for our daily trips to Door County Coffee every morning, wine & pizza & live music outdoors at One Barrel (which is right next to the local grocery store), and renting a boat in Sturgeon Bay. Have already recommended Bay Shore to a number of my friends.

Decided to take a mini vacation to Door County for relaxation during the off season. We got a great rate and extra perks when we booked in April (booked two nights and received an extra night free, bottle of wine and a $40 gift certificate at a local supper club. The resort is well maintained and the room was spacious and clean. We book a one bedroom condo which had a living room, dining area and kitchen separate from the bedroom. The outside deck was small but that was to be expected on the one bedroom units, the two bedroom units have a much larger balcony. Being the off season we had the heated pool and whirlpool to ourselves. Checkin and checkout went smoothly. Would definitely stay again.

We just returned from a 4 night stay and we are all glad we stayed here, it made our visit to Door County very memorable. The corner suite we had was quite large, we were surprised. While I can't comment on any other room types, this is the only way I'd stay here again. The master bedroom was spacious and nicely decorated with a balcony access. The room has plenty of light and again, very very large. The bathroom was also quite large and well appointed. I enjoyed having a separate sink and make up area outside of the bathroom near the specious closet. On the other side of the apartment was the other bedroom and bathroom, we loved the lay out and allowed for plenty of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. The dining room was big enough for 6 people and the living room was also spacious. We loved the view of the bay and enjoyed the sunset every night on the rather large deck. The resort has many amenities to enjoy, overall great place to stay.

Despite the extreme cold, we enjoyed the beautiful accommodations,and gorgeous sunsets. Downtown Sturgeon Bay had much to offer, Snow & Ice sculptures, wonderful shops, and delicious restaurants, including Nightingale Supper Club, Door County Fire Company and Scaturo's. The box of chocolates, Door County wine and Nightingale gift certificate made it an even better (and affordable) experience. We will be back again!!

After many months of working from home, we wanted to look out the window and see something new and this is just what we had hoped for, the view from our condo, #101 was just STUNNING! What I liked as well is that we could access our unit from outside, so no need to go through the building.
We love staying at the Bay Shore Inn and all its amenities. We had so much fun playing the lawn games & tennis, took out the kayak and enjoyed the pool with its wonderful view. The grounds are beautiful and the sun sets mesmerizing! We also enjoyed sitting at the camp fire with the other guest (with enough space in-between).
The condo itself was very spacious with everything that we needed. It’s a bit outdated but that didn’t matter at all as we came for the deck & the view. The air conditioner in the bedroom is a bit loud, but I am a terrible sleeper and it might not bother anyone else. Bed was great!
We would highly recommend this place and we hope to come back as Door County is a wonderful place to visit. The staff was great and we appreciated the daily call to see if we needed anything now that the daily room service can’t happen. Thank you, we had a lovely time.

Yes, we do have laundry facilities in each building for our guests. They cost $.50 and $.75 for wash and dryer. We also have soaps available for purchase as well, but you are more then welcome to bring your own for your use.
There are more places to choose from in the Sturgeon Bay area.
