Shoutout to all the hard working staff at TownePlace Suite. During these crazy times of COVID, a person is looking for security in an unsecure time. Check-in very fast and distance between guests incorporated in this process.
I am utilizing the fitness amenities when many of the workout facilities are not open or have very specific conditions attached. You can not swim in a public pool to save your life in this town.
Very grateful to Marriot chain to having the option to book a swim during your stay. It is essential for my rehab routine on a very sore shoulder. Special thanks to Harshi for her suggestions for booking a repeat visit to continue on my stretching therapy whilst in the pool.
The safety standards maintained here are very high. Everyone is masked in public areas and fitness facilities are restricted to exclusive room pre bookings only, with a 15 minute gap for staff to clean in between. A very reasonable plan from a guest perspective.
In addition, there is a bag your breakfast with bagel/egg muffin, a fruit (orange for me) yogurt, and a carafe of coffee at the ready. With the room having some capability to cook with hot plate and utensils provided if required.
Overall, my stay was very pleasant and I was able to continue on my rehab plan with welcome relief from the wonderful hot tub. A difficult thing to find under current government restrictions. Many thanks to all....

I recently stayed here for the past 6 months! Rooms are spacious and functional. The cleaning staff was able to keep up with early morning room service so crews could get proper rest. The front staff were always happy to greet you and help meet your demands and Joie will be sure to leave a lasting impression! I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We had a house fire, TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Edmonton welcomed us, looked after us and treated us like family until we could get back into our house. All the staff was friendly and accommodating from the maintenance people to the cleaners, the front desk staff and the General Manager. I highly recommend staying here. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It was our home away from home for two months and we have no complaints at all!

This has been a regular go to place for us since they opened a couple of years ago, and we have stayed there multiple times – primarily because they are pet friendly and reasonably priced. Not sure if reviewed before but if so it was a while ago. Somethings have been consistent such as the courteous staff, the amenities and the simple staple offerings for breakfast. The sausage patties really are quite good. Booked 2 rooms in early November as we were in the area visiting family over the Christmas period. Requested a pet friendly room on the car park side as it would be quieter than facing the main highway on the other side. Unfortunately at check in was told this was not available and that both rooms were facing the main highway…ok not too big of a deal… The pool and hot tub looked inviting and the fitness center was actually was in use as we passed. Upon arriving at our room found the door had a big crack in it and the veneer was coming off the front (see picture). Not sure what had happened to cause it but not a good impression. The room overall was pleasant with 2 queen beds (1 well made – 1 not so much) – and linens and toiletries in the bathroom which was spacious. Looking close in the bathroom was curious to see a line of white grout or sealant on the wall which was quite noticeable (see picture). Also the fitting of the toilet water pipe in the wall was loose (picture) as was the shower head and pipe in the walk in shower (picture) again not sure what all this was about but was not impressive to see all of this, even though everything was functioning properly. The shower pipe wall fitting was the same in the 2nd room we had, and also in a friend’s room who was on the same floor. The beds were big and comfortable but the pillows were very soft and not really that supportive so be aware of that, or bring your own if you can. Kitchenette was nice, and AC worked though was a little noisy at times. Unfortunately discovered on Christmas day that the fridge in the room was not working properly but being a skeleton crew not much could be done. Housekeeping was very obliging, supplying odds and ends (coffee and soap) when asked in the hall way and were happy to leave the room alone when the pets were left in there. One quirk I was not expecting was a lack of printed receipt upon checkout. The clerk said that it would be sent to the app we booked through and they would send it to us. Not sure why someone else would need a copy of my receipt? Still not received….. This trip was certainly a little less than what we have experienced in the past but overall would stay again for reasons mentioned before. Just appears that some rooms need a little TLC and hopefully will see this next time.

Your feedback has been discussed with the appropriate team members and will be rectified. The printed copies of receipts are available at the front desk all the times.If the payments are made to Online travel agents like Expedia , hotels.com ,etc. the hotel cannot print a receipt as we never have received any payments from you directly . In such cases your Online travel agents will give you the receipts. I already have briefed my front desk staff to communicate it correctly with all our guests. I am so thankful that you will come back to the hotel whenever your travel will bring you back and I am pretty sure that we would have eradicated all these problems by then. I travel A LOT and work in the hotel industry so I typically have high expectations when staying at other properties. This hotel and all of the staff that we encountered were incredible. I appreciated the quick service, friendly attitudes and smooth adjustments due to covid. The team at this hotel are GREAT! Thank you for continuing to keep travel alive and pleasurable.

So I’m not one to normally write reviews, yet today was informed I’m a Marriott titanium member. Still not quite sure what that means other than I’ve spent a lot of time at this establishment. Thanks to Joie for always being there to ensure I’d have a comfortable stay. If it wasn’t for her positive and professional approach I’d still just be one of those random hotel surfers settling for the best deal, sacrificing comfort and convenience. Due to nature of work I’m away from home often so the fact that Towne place offers the kitchen style rooms is a real treat, the novelty of eating restaurant food dies quick. Appreciate I have the ability to prepare easy meals right in my own room. Over the years have had the privilege to meet and interact with a lot of the staff, the fact that Angela always seems to sense you’re having a rough day and has the sweetest comments to help you smile. Navneet takes time to ask how my day was and is quite often interested whether anything exciting happened. Granted not all things can be perfect all the time but rest assured on the one occasion I’d needed some support the hotel manager Vinod was there to ensure I was looked after. thanks to the staff at Towne place Marriott is always a pleasure to be one of your guests. I know the staff and I joke this is my second home but in all honesty I’m here on average 20 out of the month. So once again thank you Joie, Angela, Nav, Vinod and everyone else for making your hotel my first choice when I’m out of town.

Upon checking in there was an issue with the credit card. The person at the desk called a manager over for help. They were very disrespectfully speaking a foreign language while in front of us. Our room was clean, but the beds were poorly made. (Didn't affect anything, but not Marriott standards.) The next morning we went down to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. Two people in our family are gluten intolerant. When we asked the breakfast attendant about gluten free toast or other items, we were told there wasn't anything available. My husband, who travels quite a bit for work, and said he's never had a problem getting at least gluten free bread for breakfast.
Upon returning from the waterpark, our teenaged boys decided to have a quick shower before dinner. Despite the "do not disturb" sign on the door, all of the towels had been removed from the room. No beds were made, nothing touched up, just the towels were taken. So bizzare. I went to the front desk to inform them, and to have the towels replaced. The agent at the desk said to speak with a manager about it in the morning.
At check out I made mention of the situation with the "do not disturb" sign and missing towels to the manager. She said the only thing they could do was offer some Marriott Bonvoy points.
I definitely wouldn't stay at this hotel again while in Edmonton.

We stayed here for 2 months. The bed was very comfortable.Having a kitchette was very convenient for the long stay. It had a fridge, dishwasher, 2 burner stove, dishes, cutlery and some pots. If you needed anything extra you could ask the staff for it. The laundry facilitiy was great to have. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but it was available. They even had games available for the kids at the desk. The hotel was close to shopping, restaurants and anythng you might need. All the staff were wonderful. At breakfast Beena alway welcomed us with a smile and a good morning. On the desk Taran was great and the others on the desk were always friendly and helpful. The general manager Thilak made sure we had what we needed and no matter how busy he was he always acknowledged us. We would stay here again.

We had an incredibly positive stay at TownePlace suites by Marriott. We were impressed by the enhanced COVID-19 protocols. Everything felt clean and sanitary. A simple but well done breakfast and coffee in the mornings. The ability to book some time in the gym and have it all for yourself. The rooms are well appointed. We had a room with a kitchen it was well stocked with supplies, coffee maker toaster microwave utensils plates mugs wine glasses and more. The staff here are incredibly friendly and sweet. We have to mention Harshi who works at the front and attended to questions and needs that we had. She worked through our change in reservation (we extended our stay because it was so positive). Our wonderful housekeeper who kept as well supplied and did everything she could to make us comfortable. Thank you for working so hard during these strange times I’m being committed to making sure that your guests are comfortable and safe.

I booked two nights at the Towneplace Edmonton South, as it was close to the south end of town. I had actually cancelled somewhere else and booked there instead, and I regret it.
It started off good, I was upgraded to their version of a suite due to my titanium status. But that’s where it stopped.
My mobile key didn’t work, so had to go down at 11PM to get an additional physical keys. The room was okay, it was a decent size with a seperate small bedroom with a queen sized bed. The sheets were so used and thin there were spots they were threadbare, and it hadnt been vacuumed in a while. The bathroom had parts of the wall / tub peeling, and things had fallen off the wall, leaving metal fasteners exposed. Whatever, not the end of the world, but turns out it’s pretty consistent with the rest of the place. The room faces the main highway and there is no sound proofing, so it was extremely loud all night
Breakfast the next morning was the worst hotel breakfast I’d ever been a part of. Half of the items were gone (no bagels, no milk, no eggs cereal mostly gone) and what was left, my partner and I both called “inedible”. We ended up going out somewhere else for breakfast instead.
The gym and pool area is pretty sad as well. The gym had limited equipment, one of which was broken, and free weights. That’s it. The hot tub was dirty and Luke warm. Not hot at all.
My late checkout was denied as well. Honestly if you have status anywhere else, stay there. Hilton home 2 suites is right next door and four points across the street. I’ll be staying elsewhere next time.
