Detailed Reviews
Husband and I stayed for four days for a quick get away. We had a room on the ground floor in a building adjacent to the check in facility. When we first walked into our building the smell was awful. Fortunately the room was did not smell or we would have immediately left. We figured our after holding our noses each time we went into the common area of this building was that it was cooking smells that obviously were not vented correctly.
Our room was very clean and all appliances worked correctly. Fortunately we noticed prior to getting into the shower that this facility does not provide shampoo, conditioner or lotion like the rest of the RCI facilities we have stayed in. As it was late we had to buy shampoo from the receptionist. We bought our own lotion and conditioner the next day. Also if you want fresh towels you will need to pay for them. Never had that happen before. Laundry facilities are in the building but not in the unit and you have to buy your detergent.
It was too rainy for any golfing, but that was expected. The town of Lynden itself is charming and we certainly enjoyed the Dutch Bakery, which had Gluten Free choices for my husband. Great coffee shops, too.
Overall we did appreciate the cleanliness and had comfortable nights"s sleeps, but would probably not stay again.

We had a 2 night stay at this resort. It was way too short. I much prefer a longer stay, it makes up for the long drive. The units are older. They have decent furniture that is in good repair. The flooring has been upgraded in the kitchen area and the bathroom.
Lynden is a nice town set in the midst of dairy farms. there are many nice drives and if you have your passport with you, the border is just down the road. There is a good variety of restaurants to choose from in the area. We had dinner at the Nuthouse Grill and the Mill. The Nuthouse Grill was our favorite. I had a wonderful steak dinner for less than $20.
Outside there was a beautiful lawn that overlooked the golf course. There are white wooden rockers available to sit on and two wooden swings. Summer nights must be lovely.

The week was beautiful, quiet and service and cleanliness was good. The only thing missing was a fireplace in the unit, but they had a beautiful sitting area in the next building which was quiet, and had a beautiful fireplace. Laundry was free and easy to use, even though it wasn't in the room. Our room overlooked a beautiful golf course. We will go back in the years ahead.

Totally enjoyed our getaway to Lynden Washington. Enjoyed driving back roads, walking through the small towns, parks, shopping, and great meals. Only regret is I didn’t bring my golf clubs, but the course was beautiful and on the dry days was well used.

This resort was a nice quaint place for this lovely town of Lynden. Was concerned when reading some of the whiney type comments, so glad and happy we went! The steak house next door was one of the best we have ever had!! In fact all the other places we ate in town were all very good! The Dutch Bakery was amazing! So glad we live on Whidbey Island as it's only about 1 1 2 hours to visit again!!

Let's start with the golf course is literally outside your door - so if you golf you definitely want to check this out! The club house has a wonderful outdoor patio as well as indoor seating area to watch the sporting events. There was live music, but no where to dance so that was a bit disappointing. Menu was limited, but the food was really good.
There are two pools and two hot tubs - indoor / out door - the best this is that they restrict the hours that children are in the pool so that adults who just want to relax by the pool or in the hot tub can do so without kids running around. Mind you they do have a life guard on duty when children are allowed in the pool area, so for parents that is comforting.
The make-it-yourself waffles with a fruit cup and a drink box, for $3 kinda made us feel like they were targeting breakfast to a 5 year old - not to professional couples wanting a getaway
We were there for 4 days / 3 nights and the suite had a full kitchen so we opted to do some shopping for the next days breakfast. I will admit the kitchen is very well stocked (dishes, pots, pans, appliances, etc) with pretty much everything you could imagine needing ...
They had a badminton net set-up, with rackets and 'birdie' supplied so we played a bit of badminton in the sunshine ....
Lynden offers quaint little shops to poke around in on a rainy day ..... lots of antiques!

Facility is nearly new and in top condition. Pretty small resort, less than 30 units mostly 1-bedroom ( they tell me you need to reserve one of the 3 two bedroom units a year in advance). Located right on the beautiful Homestead Golf Course on the south (developing) end of Lynden, you'll probably drive the mile to historic downtown Lynden or two miles to the small malls where most retail seems to have located.
Our 1-bed unit was on the upper floor in building #1 (there are two buildings). All units look out on the golf course. It was adequate size with small but well equipped kitchen. Nice gas fireplace was welcome for our December visit.
Next door to the resort is a steak house and a large fitness center with indoor/outdoor pools and spas. Our RCI points week included free access to the fitness center, a very nice amenity. Our grandkids loved the pool.
Those of you who have read my other reviews know I love to call out good customer service. It was raining (as it does often in this area) when I loaded a sack for a run to the dumpster. When I exited the main outside door I crossed paths with a young staff lady who offered to run my sack across the rainy driveway to the dumpster for me. She gets my Hi-5 for exceptional customer service. I was able to tell her story to the onsite manager. He knew exactly who she was. That said all staff very helpful

Stayed at this facility this past week. If you know much about Lynden Washington then you know that there really isn't many choices when looking for a place to stay.
We chose this facility because it looked beautiful (and it is). It sits in a "Newer" area of Lynden. We book it through a third party (Expedia). I read the fine print many times and it states if you are going to arrive after 6 p.m. please call and let them know. After calling them 4 times each time receiving a message telling me to press 1 and leave a message. When I pressed 1 the answering machine was not set up. More disturbing is the fact that this facility lacks in "Signage" making figuring out where to actually Check-In.
Finally be prepared, this is a timeshare facility, so before you checkout you are asked to take out your own trash, as well as run the dishwasher.
If you are wondering if I am upset, or angry I am not. The room itself was very nice. The front desk staff was very pleasant and demonstrated excellent Customer Service. I do however, question the owners/managers of this place. Wouldn't you want to make it clearly marked with "HOMESTEAD RESORT" if you want you're out of town guests to find you. Oh, but now that I say this I had prepaid and when I checked in paid an additional amount of money as a "Deposit".
Go figure.

We stated in a nice, roomy studio with a view of the golf course. Enjoyed the sun and pool. The steak house and lounge were beautiful and the food was great. Although I don't golf, I had several people tell me it was a great course. The exercise room is one of the best I have seen. Very nice, professional staff. Beautiful landscaping

We had a lovely weekend at the resort. The rooms had everything we needed and the town is a very cute and clean place to visit. Rented bikes at the resort and enjoyed the trails through the community. Rooms are very clean and well equipped. The staff were extremely helpful. Waffle breakfast for $3 a head is a hit too. The Lynden City Park is the best park for little kids I've ever seen.

No we have a strict no pet policy.
The golf course is a seperate company than the Homestead resort.I do believe they are open year round. The number to contact them to find out rates and more information is 360-354-1196.
The Studio units have 1 Queen bed.
It was free . They have wifi and give you the passcode when you check in
Thank you for your question all units are equipped with a full kitchen. Full kitchens include oven/stove, dishwasher, refridge, toaster, microwave, dishes, glassware, silverware, cutlery, and pots and pans. Have a great trip.
