Hotel's Favourite
What a fantastic stay at this Doubletree. In addition to the super convenient location and easy to use public transit system (really no need for a car), we gave this property all high marks. The staff are the 'tops'. I travel for business and leisure often and have stayed at many DoubeTree Hotels and must say this is the best one by far. As a HiltonHonors Diamond for Life member, I was very impressed with the courtesy, friendliness and attentiveness displayed by each staff member we encountered. Our hats off to the front desk staff, especially Mike and Audra who provided assistance in answering our numerous questions as first time visitors to Park City/Deer Valley. We were going to try different places to have breakfast each day, but after our first morning's breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, we found no need to try elsewhere and returned each morning for a consistently awesome meal. Edgar or Nick welcomed us with huge smiles and attentive service each morning and attended to our hunger needs after sleeping in the most comfortable beds. Our room was very clean and had an impressive window view of one of the many picturesque mountains. Upon a future return to the area, will definitely stay here.

This is a solid property with comfortable rooms. We stayed on the second floor, so there was no one above us, and it was quiet and pleasant. The outdoor pool and hot tub were a pleasure for apre-ski and provided great opportunities to interact with the other guests and talk about slopes etc. However, what really made the difference at this hotel was the staff. Everyone we interacted with took hospitality seriously and made the stay very pleasant. From the concierge to the shuttle driver to the facilities personnel to the housekeeping staff, everyone was there to make your stay great. Mike at the front desk was particularly knowledgeable and had great recommendations on restaurants in the area.

As locations go, it sits at the foot of the main town and was a pleasant walk up to Main Street with the shops and dining. If you are too tired to walk from skiing, the Doubletree runs a shuttle that can drop you in a variety of locations (including the ski resorts). Anecdotally, walking back from dinner on Main Street, we waived at the shuttle as it passed us going back into town. Within 2 minutes, the shuttle made a drop, sought us out and gave us a ride back to the hotel in heavy snow conditions. Park city also runs a free bus service with stops just outside the hotel.

While the decor is fairly dark, the common areas are clean and well appointed with a nice fire place just be on the front desk. After a long day of skiing, you can check your ski equipment right inside the front door, grab a hot drink and a warm Doubletree cookies and play scrabble or another board game in the lobby area. Alternatively, you can head to the game room and play ping pong of foozeball or take a dip in the pool / hot tub mentioned above. Great for kids or the young at heart.

Breakfast was decent and the staff was happy to accommodate any requests. The bar was fun with decently priced drinks, and once you can figure out the whacky Utah drinking laws, you can get a night cap in front of yet another fire place.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay, and we will be back.

One thing truly exceptional about this hotel was the front desk staff. The front desk staff went out of their way to do what it took to make for a great stay. Phenomenal customer focus and service. Felt like I was at a Four Seasons. Another great thing about this hotel is its location, especially if you don't have a car because the Fresh Market bus stop is right next to the hotel. This stop is one of the few stops that the number 10 white express bus makes between the Canyons and downtown Park City so you can get to either very quickly. There are 3 other buss routes that can take you to Park City Mountain which is only a few minutes from the hotel. There is also the fresh market grocery store next to the hotel and several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel will provide you with a microwave if you ask and the rooms have a refrigerator so you can keep food/drinks refrigerated and make your own meals if you want. The room I was in was well maintained and comfortable. The outdoor hot tub was very large, about 15 feet square and made for a good apre ski meeting spot. Only negative was that the jets were not very powerful. Could use a better pump.

The hotel is 20 min walking from Main Street; therefore, I enjoyed walking. You can also take the bus for free. You can also jump in the bus for going to Canyon Village for skiing. Therefore, I consider a good location.
You can enjoy the hot apple cider. The internet is also free for Hilton Honors.
The only negative part is the break feast. it is not included if you are Hilton Honor. Only for silver and gold. I eat one time and it seems overpriced; $18 including tip for some eggs, yogurt, orange juice (if you ask), and bagel with cream cheese. I ended buying my break feast from Fresh Market which is next to the hotel.

We truly appreciate your feedback and while we’re so happy you received friendly service from our staff, we regret you were unaware that DoubleTree does not offer a complimentary breakfast. Spent a few days here and have some thoughts:

First the positives:
Front Desk staff were great. Always willing to help out with cookies and such.
Bike storage offered, which is great for a place with marvelous bike paths -- mountain and street bikes alike.
Halls and rooms were clean.
Internet was OK. Basic internet was free for HHonors members, speed was OK at 5 up and 5 down. Seemed to work ok. Faster available for $15 day.
In room safe.
Easy access to Main Street via bus or electric bike share.

Downsides:
At its core, this is an updated motel, with visible cinder block walls in rooms. Not plush at all. Basic amenities, two story motel layout, with one elevator that is a long walk from many rooms. Not at the same level as other Doubletree properties I've stayed at.
Expensive place to stay, given the more spartan accommodations.
Bathroom has a shower with the shower head at about 5 ft 6 inches in height. Those of us who are taller have to stoop to wash our hair. Shower head wasn't wonderful in water flow. Our bathroom had a very noisy fan and a bit of mold.
This place is not a resort (few resort amenities), but it has a resort fee of $20. This is just a way for the hotel to disguise the real cost of the nightly rate, in my opinion.
** Warning to HHonors guests staying on points. Under HHonors rules, your stay on points should include the resort fee at no extra cost. This hotel seems to knowingly charge guests staying on points for the resort fee and hope you don't notice (seems to be a known system issue to front desk staff). I noticed these fees on checkout and had them reverse charges. Not a big fan of this move by management. Sneaky.

Not a bad place to stqy in Park City given location and general cleanliness of hotel.

However, the resort fee and how it is handled by the hotel earn some serious demerits in my perception of this place.

Stayed at the Yarrow on Hilton Points. The rooms are a bit dated but that was more than made up by excellent service and a great location, just minutes from the slopes or main street either by free city bus (stop right outside the hotel) or free hotel shuttle. Very clean overall and beds were great.

We chose Double Tree as we have been loyal Hilton Gold Customers. The staff were excellent - very professional, courteous and helpful in every way whether providing extra coffee packs or trash liners to retrieving stowed baggage. The ski locker was a very helpful service to securely stow our ski equipment to dry overnight and keep our room clear of wet gear. Would like to point out Andrew, Audra and Mr. Deguzman who were particularly helpful. There is a shuttle stop just across the street and the free city shuttle would take us directly to the ski areas.

We did use the heated outdoor pool and hot tub, but being the busiest time of the year it was often crowded.

There were a variety of several restaurants nearby including Mexican, Middle Eastern, Thai as well as standard American fare all within walking distance. Fresh Market Grocery was next door and stocked everything we needed. There was a small refrigerator in the room, but a microwave would have been nice.

Also, not a big deal, but the tub and fixtures were aged and rusted and there was evident signs of wear on the balconies facing the pool (eroded slab). These seem to be small details that normally Hilton properties are good at repairing.

Overall we had a great ski vacation at Park City and were very satisfied with the Double Tree accommodations.

First time in park city and decided on the doubletree due to the great price and great reviews. We were immediately greeted by Mike, he made the whole check in experience super fast and easy and was able to get us checked in early so we could changed and head to the slopes. He was so knowledgeable about the area and the hotel property and amenities. We ran into him once in a while during our stay and he always remembered us and followed up to make sure everything was going well with our stay. The shuttle is free and took us to and from park city mountain every day and to and from Main Street at night, Paul and Hector were usually our drivers and during our shuttle rides filled us in on things to do and where to go. The restaurant and bar on the property had great food and and drinks and there’s also a great little coffee bar in the lobby with delicious lattes and cappuccinos. The outdoor hot tub and pool were never crowded and nice and hot. Also if you’re considering paying a little extra to get the king room with the fire place, DO IT. So worth it. We will definitely be back next time we’re in park city.

We had high hopes based on the reviews, but overall, our stay was underwhelming. We went for Labor Day wknd but had issues during our stay. We had key problems & room maintenance problems and while there were posted signs about wearing masks while in public spaces in the hotel, it wasn’t enforced, even by the hotel employees. Some wore them, some didn’t. Tough to “require” masks for guests when it’s not being adhered to by those who work directly with the guests (even those checking guests in).

The 2nd floor rooms have balconies but no furniture - and the location is good for getting to nearby restaurants, but it’s basically part of a supermarket parking lot. Getting charged a “resort fee” for this property is a stretch (as others have mentioned). Also, don’t expect to take alcoholic drinks back to your room from the hotel bar - it’s not allowed. That may be a Utah thing but we haven’t experienced that at other properties in the state. At least we had a fridge so we could store our own beverages.

If you’re a Diamond member, the breakfast buffet was good but they are short-staffed. Not their fault given the crazy year but just be prepared for some delayed service. No upgrades for us even though a junior suite was available online when I checked in.

Would we go back? Maybe. But I would also explore other options in the area on our next trip.

The photos online look awesome, however, not the case in person. I have to say, I am shocked Hilton has their name on this place and the high prices they charge. One of the nice things I will say is it is close to Main Street and the Lobby was done nicely, however, you don't sleep in the lobby. It looks like a really old motel that they tried to look nice. "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." The hallways are dark and cold. I am still shocked about our room. First floor in a corner with a half window looking out at a wall and fence in middle courtyard. I made my husband check for bugs twice because the place looked like a horrible old motel that I would never stay in. There were no bugs so no worries there. I still did not put anything on the gross carpeted floor. The sink never drained, which made me want to throw up, the shower head was for short people and was not strong enough to get shampoo out of my hair, and the cheap, tiny toilet never flushed properly. I honestly don't know how a heavy person could even use the bathroom. I will not even go into explaining that. I would get myself ready as fast as I could just to get out of the room. I would never, ever have picked this hotel. I was assigned to it through Hilton Grand Vacations, and I will never stay in it again. I cannot believe Hilton bought this place. They have enough money to completely rehab it and would make their money back quickly due to its prime location.
The employees are all awesome though! Not their fault the place is rundown and gross. The cleaning employees try really hard to keep it clean.

Dear Nicolle B, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're truly sorry to hear the condition of your room left you feeling disappointed in your stay. This is certainly not the impression we had hoped to leave, and we've shared your points of concern with our maintenance team to follow up on the points you highlighted. While we are not currently scheduled for an update/remodel to our rooms, this is something we are currently working towards. We sincerely hope once these updates are realized, you will allow us a second chance to host you as our guest.

No they don't have a shuttle. We used the city FREE transit which is buses. They have a stop very close just outside the hotel and they do allow ski and board equipment. The Main street down town is very walkable to all the bars, eateries and shops.
