First of all, we drove six hours to find out that our room wasn’t ready and they had no idea when it would be ready. I asked for it to be ready upon arrival. I had my disabled mother in the car and three children who were tired ,hungry and ready to start vacation.
We weren’t allowed access inside the building to change clothes to enjoy the beach we had to change in the car in the parking lot in broad daylight!!

After many hours outside I finally found the number of our hotel room. As I went to check it out just to see where we would be staying ,I was bombarded with the nastiest walkway and Parking garage I had ever saw. There was used rubber gloves, trash, glass, condom wrappers, drug paraphernalia , a complete blunt of drugs laying in front of our room
.i went to the office and complained and told them I would not stay in that wreck of a place. They accommodated me by moving us to what they said was a better room. Well, when we finally get to our room five hours later we saw a nasty room, no bed spreads, no trash cans, or bags to put trash in ,sand and dirt all in the beds and floor. The bathroom was disgusting!! My kids hated to use the bathroom. Our porch was dirty there was food, cans, trash, and cigarette butts everywhere. We were not told what to do with our towels or trash we took them out ourselves each day.
Our coffee maker tore up the first day we arrived and I asked for one every day and never got one.
The pool area near our room was trashed we went two days in a row and the same pizza box was laying there by the pool. There was melted candy all over the outside tables and chairs. When you got into the water of the pool it was slimy.
The mini Golf is in such a sketchy place that my children were scared if the people living on the course. There was only four clubs and one ball for the entire place. It was also disgusting and overgrown. The water park is a joke!!!
There pictures are outdated and their website is a lie!!!

I have not had a vacation in 19 yrs and my children were experiencing the beach for the first time. I can honestly say that this was the worst vacation ever. Please do not waste your time or money!

First off let me say that the staff is wonderful and try their hardest to be helpful but honestly this is not enough for this place. My family and i rented 3 rooms for the weekend. Nothing but problems. Arrived early and only 1 room was available. It was not the right room rented and paid for. They put us in another room ocean front which it should have been. Problems with this room. The vent in the bathroom was actually leaking water from the ceiling. The sliding glass door had glass coming out of the frame. Room two was ready or available until after 6:30 pm in the driftwood bldg. Get the keys, only one elevator working, go up to the room and it was either occupied or trashed and never cleaned. Go back to the office get another key, wrong type of room a king size bed instead of two doubles, back to the office get another room. this one was ok. Room three not available till almost 7 pm. 2nd night the ceiling is pouring down water. after 15 minutes of trying to call someone finally get a hold of housekeeping and they will contact maintenance to come up. An our and a half later no one shows up walk to the office speak with the manager who apologizes and refunds me a partial on my room. Calls maintenance to check it out. Two hours later no one ever shows up. Three hours later i have to clean up the water myself as no one ever showed up.

We have been staying in this resort for about 28 years, on and off. Part of the draw has always been the amenities included. This visit, however, will probably prove to be our last. The property is very rundown. The room I actually booked was 75 degrees and smelled of mildew. The manager on duty, Brian, moved us with no problems, but the next room was also 75 degrees and the wall bed was broken and the sheets were stained. We were moved again, very graciously, and this time to another building where everything seemed to work. The grounds were very unclean. I was glad to be in a different building as the first reeked and trash was everywhere. The areas around the indoor pools and hot tub were dirty, trash strewn around. There was no maid service during out stay due to Covid, but we were never given any toilet paper, trash bags or clean towels after repeatedly asking for them. The property recently changed hands and several buildings were sold, but the ones that remain are definitely in poor repair and have a desperate need of deep cleaning.
We have loved the Sea Mist for many years, but it seems that is is time to bid it farewell.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Checkin was at 3pm, it was 7:30p and we still didn’t have a room. Was told since our room wasn’t ready they would give us another room. We paid for an oceanfront and they gave us a room that wasn’t. Had to go back down and wait in the long line again. They gave us, according to them, a better room. HAHAHA, that was a joke. If this was their best, I’d hate to see the worst. The room was awful. People smoking marijuana everywhere. We had to get security to come to the room next to us because the marijuana smoke was coming from their balcony into our air conditioning unit and into our room. Nothing was really done about it. People smoking it on your way to and from the beach. If it was just us adults I would’ve been whatever, but, we had a child with us. I prayed every time we went into the elevator that it wouldn’t break down. No maid service. You had to go to front desk every day for new towels and there were always at least 3 lines of people waiting to just complain. The lifeguards at the lazy river are a joke. Not one was walking around checking. Kids jumping into it, no parents around. Most of the tubes were filthy. The pictures on their website are NOT what you will be seeing. Not even close. Save your money and book somewhere else. It doesn’t even deserve the one star I’m giving it.

My experience was good and bad because of COVID-19.
I was supposed to have an early check in but because the resort is short staff I had to check in later. Which I didn’t mind because I was able to get my parking pass, and use the pool area until my room became available. I was a little Leary about staying because of the reviews but when I finally got my key and was able to check into my room. The bad things I saw on the review went out the window. My room was cleaned, furniture was a little dated but the room was nice for my family and I. It smelled really good, I inspected everything and it was a breath of fresh air that I was able to walk bare feet and not feel sand under my feet.
The housekeeping staff was extremely helpful and friendly, because of they virus they aren’t able to offer room service but everything I asked for they got to me in a timely manner. I definitely will be back in the fall for my family reunion.

If you’re a clean person, find a different hotel. We booked a room at sea mist for 1 night and it was filthy. Sand everywhere (bed sheets, bathroom, EVERYWHERE) the coffee maker was filthy, we used it to warm water up for my sons bottle and it came out yellow with old coffee residue. My son was walking around and his white socks were black, and the bed was made with sand in the sheets and no pillow covers! I don’t ever write reviews but this I had to for sure. We got a refund within 30 mins of getting in the room and we stayed at the Holiday inn on 3100 Oleader Drive and it was $10 cheaper! Also, the pictures on this booking are deceiving, make sure to read the reviews before booking because I did not.

ays are dirty the place is a wreck, employees in the main office are not wearing their masks. The conditions of the rooms are terrible and their facilities are disputing. We checked in on Saturday When we got here there was a dirt spot on the bed and I was upset but was like oh well we will get sheets late. We ended up going out on the beach came back in then ran out to eat and get some food and stuff for the room. When we get back to put everything up my girlfriend was cleaning the shower because it was dirty as I was putting up out groceries. We found out there are no towels or wash cloths then the tub was draining slowly then while I was putting up groceries I opened the oven to see what all pots and pans we have what do I find? A half ate pizza and some wings. Needless to say we both flipped our lid she went to the office to talk to them “they have been having some house keeping issues” no other rooms to put us in and like last time everything is booked up everywhere else. My girlfriend later checked the laundry room to see if it was empty and we found machines filled with dirty water

So I hate typing bad about a business so I will try to leave some good remarks but it’s not going to help. So on October 17 my fiancé my 2 year old and I entered sea mist registration . The person checking me in had a great attitude and he was so helpful, however the woman checking in another person must of been having a bad day. She was slouched over hand on her chin and no eye contact at all. Her attitude was just awful but We all have those days. So I had ordered an oceanview room. Nothing spectacular but just enough to maybe get a glimpse of the sea. Haha, nope. So we entered our room, number 10309. And the balcony was not big enough to step on to, which was kind of pointless because this balcony faced to road. No water, just road and building. Upon entry to the building, a candlestick was propping the door. I assume someone forgot their key. What was wonderful was getting on the elevator and it had cigarette butts all over the floor and trash. Oh well you get what you pay for right. So I was just hoping the room would be okay. Boy was I wrong . Though I will say my linens were clean, can’t go wrong there. The floor was not. The floor was nasty it’s not that hard to clean up. Or atleast wipe down stuff . The back of the bed, y’all come on it’s not that hard to clean it. Our curtain was broke, had to be easy with closing it. Seriously would anyone want to use clean sheets that are sitting in a nasty sticky drawer? But what really made my night was the fact that I had asked for tp at 630 and no one brought it to me until 10 minutes until check out the next morning which I had called multiple times and spoke to multiple people because my door was also broke and my 2 year old kept getting it open so I needed it fixed and there were no other rooms to move me to. About 1030 maintenance finally came that was about my no lie 10th call and the reason so many calls is because it would ring forever and someone would pick up I could hear talking then they would hang up and when I called about the toilet paper again around 930 pm I was told there was no cleaning staff to bring it that I would have to go down the road to registration to get it, so screw it I bought my own. Literally when you clean a room atleast leave enough tp, the dang roll was under half when we got it. Fixing to leave , everyone had to use the stairs , elevator was out of order. You’ve got to be kidding me. I was told that if I cancelled I would still be charged so I just sucked it up. But I would really like a manager to contact me.

This place was horrible. My husband had stayed there years back when it was in good standing, so we decided to stay with the kids because of all of the water features. First off when we arrived to check in at 5:30 we waited in line for over 2 hours to find out our room was not ready and to check back in at 9:00. We were there for a baseball tournament and needed to be rested and ready to leave the next day no later than 9. We came back to the hotel about 9:30, to find out after standing in line until 10:30 that our room was ready. We went to the room, opened the door to find trash all over the floors, the sheets were wrapped in a ball on both beds, the towels were all over the room, the door to the balcony was open, the lights were on and the fridge was full of food. Went back to the registration desk for them to tell me that the only thing they could do was refund my money, but there was nowhere in a 50 mile radius to stay. We then went to Walmart bought the cleaning supplies and cleaned our own room, we did get reimbursed for the cleaning supplies, were told that someone would bring sheets but had to flag someone down. We were given 4 towels, they were out of washcloths, bath mats and hand towels. When we left the next day for the tournament, there was still a line trying to get rooms. When we returned later that afternoon the road was closed because one of the buildings was on fire. The beach outside the hotel was nasty with trash. We were awoken Sunday morning by a fire alarm in our building, which took them an hour to clear us to go back in. The room itself was falling apart, there was paint on the floors, we were given hospital grade sheets with no blankets etc. The bathroom door would not shut do to being rotten, the stove was caked with god knows what, there were no dishes to speak of, the fridge was rusted. The door going to the hallway you could see around pretty much. Horrible stay, don't go here!

The room we stayed at was booked through airbnb and the prices was good, so will not complain much because like the saying you get what you paid for. Overall, the unit was clean, yes, the kitchen, fridge and etc. was clean but quiet used/worn out. The unit was clean, bed sheets and sofa bed were clean but worn out/quiet used so if i was the owner i would upgrade a few things in the unit. The common areas where not kept well, this is fault of the management company because they need to hire staff that kept the common areas, lobbies, elevators and pools neat and clean. I went with my family and we were at the beach most of the time and out an about so only used the unit to sleep. Barely used the Pool area but noticed they can do a lot better in those two areas. I would stay again :)
