Second trip to Ocean Lodge and definitely enjoyed my stay. The best part is the front row seat to the ocean views and Haystack Rock. Great beach for walking and the town is great for walking too. Fresh Foods is a great little organic friendly grocery that I was very happy to discover was within walking distance. The room was comfortable and clean and I would definitely return. I highly recommend watching for off-season rates and other promotions to save money.

The Ocean Lodge is the place to go when you want to feel pampered. The minute you walk in and the fire is crackling and they're offering you cookies, coffee, and salt-water taffy, you feel welcome. The amenities are gorgeous--wine reception before dinner, port or sparkling cider and chocolates after dinner, and a super generous breakfast room with luxurious tea (for those of us who don't drink coffee).

The rooms feel bigger than they are simply because you have that gorgeous ocean view, conveniently right outside the glass door. On sunny days, you can enjoy from your private balcony (we were on an upper floor), on rainy days, the ocean is still right there from your table (where we sipped wine and sighed in pleasure).

The bathroom was unusually spacious so two people can easily get ready (nice to have two sinks!) and what a gorgeous shower and soaking tub! Heated floors too!

Can't say enough good things about this marvelous lodge.

Loved this place! No complaints! The view was amazing. The semi-private covered deck was wonderful (the front desk gave me a few towels to wipe the wet chairs and gave me a blanket to use out there). We had a gas fireplace in the room. The bed was a very comfortable king bed. The bathroom had heated floors and a double person shower with four places for the water to come out! We were offered a wine reception the day of arrival and the wine was very good. The complimentary continental breakfast was very well done with Covid in mind. All the items were wrapped in cellophane and the fruit was in a cup with a lid. Overall, I can think of nothing that wasn't wonderful. Paid $339 plus tax.

From the warmest welcome at the front desk to the spacious, clean room with full view of ocean waves and gigantic Haystack Rock, The Ocean Lodge was the perfect hub for discovery and relaxation here at Lewis and Clark’s end of the trail part of the world. Breakfasts were plentiful and safely served; cookies and soft drinks always available throughout the day and night, and a wine happy hour and nighttime turndown treats were welcoming as well. Gas fireplaces added warmth as the fall days turned cool, and tasteful Halloween decorations added fun. Great trip!

We had THE MOST RELAXING stay at your hotel. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for the excellent care and service. My daughter and I had never been to Cannon Beach and we didn't plan our visit in advance. We were able to get a room the afternoon we called. The staff immediately made us feel so at home and comfortable. I personally loved the afternoon glass of wine. Later in the evening we tried to go out and have dinner at a few local restaurants but found every place we went to have a 2 hour wait. We ended up going to the local Fresh Market grocery and got salads and microwave food items. This worked great because our room had a fridge and microwave and plates and silver ware with a comfortable table to eat at. What a relief to enjoy a meal in our own lovely room with view to ocean, lovely fireplace, and television. On a final note, the shower in the bathrooms had 4 different shower heads that felt amazing! The staff went above and beyond to help us. We were blown away and loved this stay. Can't wait to return.

This is not your cheapest accommodation on the Oregon Coast but if you want great service, amenities and view it is a winner. Fireplace in the room was so cozy. The pet friendly room did not lack for anything nor did it have the appearance of being pet worn!

The staff are some of the nicest folks and are invested in making sure your stay has everything you want/need. We didn't feel like going out on our first night and they told us they would go pick up a takeout order for us and deliver to our room - so sweet and just what we needed after a long day of travel. The little touches like beach chairs, complimentary snacks in the lobby, shuttle car, etc. were appreciated and enjoyed. The evening nightcap service was also a cool touch! They will even set up a beach bonfire for you - no need to lift a finger! The location and view is stellar with step out to the beach and a short walk from Haystack Rock. A couple of downsides and/or tips for future travelers: if you are looking for a peaceful getaway and the ability to sleep in, book a top floor room. We were on the first floor and could hear our upstairs neighbors and their kids running, slamming doors and yelling at 6AM. You will either have to drive to town, take the shuttle car or order takeout for food. The only walkable option is a small pub or the upscale prix fixe and reservation only restaurant at the Stephanie Inn next door. It's a short 5 minute drive to town and we had no problem finding parking on Sunday and Monday (but Saturday was challenging as it was very busy with the nice weather). The furnishings, blinds and bathrooms could use an update, but everything was clean and in working order. That said, it ticks the box for what is needed as a place to sleep and wash up when you come to the beach and spend most of the time outdoors. In sum, the Ocean Lodge provides luxury service and amenities but the rooms themselves are more what you'd expect from a standard hotel.

Thanks for your detailed review of your recent stay at The Ocean Lodge. It means a good deal to us that you took the time to share your experience. We are especially thrilled that we exceeded expectations with our service and attention to detail to make your time at the beach such an enjoyable experience! Our team has worked hard to develop a culture of delivering exceptional customer service to every guest. We are also glad that you enjoyed the close proximity of the beach located a few steps from your room. It sounds like you took full advantage of all the great shops and restaurants in downtown Cannon Beach which as you mention is a short drive from our hotel. We apologize for the noise you experienced from an upper level room and invite you to alert us of any issues in the future so that we can try to address concerns in real time. Thanks again for choosing The Ocean Lodge and for you feedback.

When booking our stay with The Ocean Lodge we were a bit hesitant due to the price, but it was worth every penny! We recommend staying on the upper floor and splurging on a room with a full ocean view, you'll thank me later! The rooms were clean and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed waking up to see Haystack Rock every morning and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We enjoyed sitting on the beach in the evening with the blanket, towels and chairs the lodge provided and a staff member even stopped by to see if we needed anything! We also loved the fact that there was firewood for sale, allowing us to have a bonfire on the beach. All in all a perfect stay!

This Hotel is a step into luxury. The rooms are well appointed. The staff here are wonderful. The room has a fireplace, great double head shower for two, with multiple sprayers. The price includes free breakfast, social hour with wine, a hotel hostess who knock on your door with a Cordial, and chocolate. Our room had a awesome view of the beach, with easy access to the beach. The hotel has free use of beach chairs, towels, and fire wood for sale for a Bon fire. There is plenty of coffee, and great cookies. The town of Cannon Beach is just a short drive down the street. Check out Mos’s for a great meal. The Fish and Chips are exceptional, as well as the Hamburger.

Outstanding staff and services make it worth the price.

We spent 3 nights in mid-June booking an ocean view and a standard room across the street. This worked well as we spent the evenings in the ocean room but the standard rooms are newer and more spacious.

Free snack, cookies, wine and truffles throughout the day makes the stay feel like a good value. Breakfast was continental plus with eggs and sausage or bacon every day. Coffee cake to die for and the lady that keep it stocked was proud of he work and wanted you to feel welcome (as all the staff did). Dogs are more than welcome which was great as we were without our pup and had plenty of dogs to pet.

The location and views are amazing, parking was never an issue, and when we did have issues they were fixed in minutes, not hours or days.

Highly recommended!!

Hello! There are hiking trails in the area, though the weather is definitely a factor. I'm not familiar with any wineries--but Pelican Brewing is in town, which is fun. (The Ocean Lodge has a wine bar every night from 4 pm to 6 pm, so we had wine every night around that time.) Also, Cannon Beach spa is in downtown Cannon Beach, which is just a little over a mile away. I had a massage there during one visit and it was wonderful!

Hi Lelhindi, thanks for asking! Though our bathrooms are tiled and you'll find hardwood flooring throughout our lobby, the primary guest areas of all of our rooms are carpeted. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
