Visited this place for the first time last July, since a friend bought a trailer here. She is now a seasonal resident.

The campsite had an excessive number of golf karts, all decorated differently. Navigating the site was a bit challenging due to the number of people and karts on the street. And, this place is huge, so it takes a few minutes walk from the beach, pools or other areas, depending where your site is located.

Most residents here are seasonal or permanent, I learned. The amenities were impressive, including restrooms, laundry, pools, playgrounds, pool tables, a convenience store, a few restaurants and street vendors. (I bought a hoodie for 45$) The residents were lively, and friendly.

There are various activities like miniature golf at the entrance, horseshoes, and pool tables, with evening entertainment provided by musicians. The walkability of the campground made it feel like a small town worth exploring. It's just too bad we had to keep everything quiet at 11:00PM. It really is a community area rather than a camp ground. Still, it was an interesting experience.

We came through with 5 people on 4 motorcycles. The area available to setup our tents was at the far end of the park, which gave us the benefit of having to see the entire park on the way to the spot. The place is huge! We had to park near the entrance, and be transported to our site via golf carts. The grounds are organized and well maintained.

This was a large campground with mostly seasonal campers/residents. We were looking for a home base with our motor home while we explored Montreal. Our site, and what looked like most of the short visit sites, was at the back of the campground, in what had recently been a field. They had planted trees for these sites but they were all still very small - no shade. The front part of the campground was well shaded but this was where the residents were. The service hookups for our RV were fine (water, waste, power). The staff was pleasant and friendly though primarily French speaking. WIFI coverage was only at the very front part of the campground - none where we were. The only showers were all pay-showers and only took coins - we did not expect this and so ended up not using them. As a base for visiting Montreal, it was really pretty far out - it was nearly an hour drive into Montreal. We also happened to be there on a weekend when they hosted some sort of baseball tournament - this made it very full/busy plus we were listening to the loudspeakers about the game. It was not a bad campground but we did not really enjoy our time there.

We (2 adults and 2 children under 5) recently stayed at this campground during the International Balloon Festival which is held every year in St-Jean. Our plan was to stay 3 nights, but we only stayed 2. When we showed up at the campground we visited our site…if you can call it that…basically a patch of grass/mud with a tree in the middle. No trees around and literally stuck to your neighbour. The view we had was on a massive parking and 6 INDUSTRIAL size GARBAGE containers that absolutely reeked of garbage. I immediately went to the office to ask for another lot since this was absolutely not appropriate especially for 2 young children. There was nothing available it seemed and they offered us a spot at the pool grounds which had no fire or anything…Not long after we showed up on the Friday, there was a rainstorm and the lack of irrigation created a 6 inch tall river…our site was FLOODED completely. We had to take down the tent and we drove home (about 1.5 hours). Upon leaving, I explained that the site was unacceptable and there was total disregard and obviously no chance for a refund. I understand that campgrounds cannot issue refunds based on the weather but this was cause by their LACK of irrigation and the filthiness of their establishment. Since the point was to enjoy the Festival and not to disappoint the kids we went back the next day. We enjoyed the festival but would NEVER go back to this campground again. There was no security at all. At 2 in the morning there was so much noise from youngsters driving around in their little golf carts, banging on things, screaming. Trucks driving everywhere in the parking lot. The cherry on the cake was that on the Monday while we were cooking our breakfast, a tractor came to compact the garbage! In 35degree celcius heat! Not to pick up the garbage…just squeeze it down. Well that did not help the smell. On top of that, they came to cut the grass, although the tractor did not come on our site, the person with the weed wacker decided he was going to weed wack our lot and throw pieces of grass everywhere on our picnic table while we are getting breakfast ready. It was just so disrespectful. The pool was very dingy as well and the lifeguards did nothing about kids almost jumping on top of each other. All in all and AWFUL experience. We camp with our kids about 4 times a summer around Quebec and Ontario and we would NEVER go back here. I generally try to have something positive to say, so I will say that their little store is well stocked, friendly and the prices are not outrageous. They are quite fair actually. But that’s about it. There was not much positive to say about our experience at Camping Les Cèdres.

We had no choice but to stay at Camping Les Cedres, because my son was graduating from the Canadian Armed Forces basic training. So we drove our RV from Ontario to St. Jean. When we checked, the staff never explained anything in English, even our brochure was in French (we don't speak or read French). We didn't know which amenities were available, nor did we know any of the activities going on in the campground. We hadn't seen our son in over 3 months, and he came to the campsite to visit with us for an hour than we were going out for supper. Well they charged him a $7 fee to enter the camping grounds. Nice way to treat someone who will be serving your country. We found hardly any of the staff could speak English. The small roads throughout the campgrounds are way too narrow, kids cutting in front of you with their bikes, golf carts running you over etc. We took our small dog with us, and were charged $7 per night, but our dog wasn't allowed to leave our designated camping spot. No dogs allowed on the streets. So, not very pet friendly at all! If you wanted to use their public showers you had to pay $1. Everything was a money grab. Our camp site was quite far away from the main gate, and when we called for a taxi, we had to meet them at the front gate, no taxi's allowed into the camp ground. On their website they said there was WiFi, which was not true. If you wanted Wifi you had to walk all the way to the front office, sit on a park bench between 2 garbage bins, and if you were luck you could get a signal. We will never go back to this park, and will not recommend it to any of our friends.

Visited a family member who is a seasonal camper. Their property was nice and quiet. I did find the price to enter a little high. Our interaction with the staff was respectful. They seem to have a lot of activities for people who stay there.

One of the best campings I’ve ever seen! Wow! There are water slides, 2 pools, a beach, and much more! This has been one of the best times I’ve had in my life, especially the dance during Saturday nights!

This park is huge, we did not get to spend enough time there the last time, so we chose to come back. We were there over the holiday September labour day weekend and it was packed!! We were disappointed that the Waterslides were closed, there was nothing mentioned on their websites about that. The pool and lake are great attractions and kept us occupied.

My only real issue that I have is their policy on dogs. They do not want you walking your dog on leash in the park. There is a dog park that you can go to, but you are supposed to either place them in a golf cart, or make them ride in a wagon. Both options to me are ludicrous. If there are issues with dogs being on leash, then making them sit in a wagon will not fix this.

We were only there one night as we stopped through. Did not have a chance to try most of the amenities that are offered. The Wifi was really slow, I ended up just using my HOTSPOT at this site I couldn't take the speed. As stated earlier, it is far out of Montreal. All hookups were great and placed fine for our site. We will be back for a longer stay. I found this site to be the most expensive on our trip across Canada.
