Detailed Reviews
We were very disappointed in the conditions of this campground. Garbage on the ground, big pile of garbage at the end of the campsite, higher than a house. Derelict trailer boarded up and garbage surrounding it. Some campers here looked like a homeless campsite. Campsites not raked or big rocks moved in sites where the newly dug up grounds were not levelled. Small cabins tight together and doors open and again in bad condition, garbage inside. This campsite in this location, should be as beautiful as it’s surroundings, it’s such a shame. We were here years ago and hoped things had got better, but they got worse.

Tent camped here in Aug 2020. Could use some improvements to campground. Sites are not too flat. Quite a lot of loose dirt and tree matter on ground... was hard not to carry it into my tent Free showers with lots of hot water... washrooms very clean. Lots of building supplies strewn about and a little noisy at times from people building structures on their sites. Some sites look permanent and are at one end of campground. Owners very nice and friendly! Not your top quality campground but was ok for a short stay. There is a You Tube walk through of the campground if you want to see it. The road leading to the site is gravel and full of potholes... go slow if you are hauling a trailer. Fairly quiet at night... a little early partying went on when we were there but ended before it was too late.

Large RV owners BEWARE!!!! The road in is rough and dusty, there is narrow bridge at entrance and sites far too small for a Class A. I tried backing into a overgrown dingy site and gave up when got tired of tree branches scraping the sides of my unit. Was offered another option on the other side of property which was also unacceptable. Entire campground is like a throw back for the 1970"s with old worn out structures and rough narrow roads. Went to complain and told take it or leave, no refund period. I called my credit card company and had the charges reversed much to their dismay.
They obviously are not concerned with bad reviews so simply steer clear!!!!

+1
We booked online from UK many months in advance. Site was full for most of our two nights - but didn’t feel packed. About 1 km away from TC Marina (10 minute easy walk). Forest clearing setting with friendly entrance reception, playground, play area toilet block with free showers and laundry. Wood available at $6 for site fire pits. Also within short walk of its own separate beach cove (10 minutes) and the starting point of 3 hour Blinkhorn Trail - both on campsite edge. Power and water only to each site with separate sanidump. Facilities are perfectly adequate for a short stay - we really enjoyed ours.

Set within beautiful woodland with numerous birds (Jays, Robins, woodpeckers) and resident black bears (which we were warned about!). Short walk (1K) to telegraph cove, marked woodland walk to lovely cove and also a challenging trail hike to a view point (well worth it). Clean facilities with free hot water showers. Small play area for children. Secluded plots amongst the trees. The campsite picture on the website doesn't do it justice! Really worth staying here rather than in some of the other carpark-style RV sites
