I really like this place! I arrived late on a Friday night, and while busy. the concierge, CJ, still made sure to observe proper safety protocols for COVID which was very much appreciated. He was very pleasant and helpful and answered any and all questions I had while also letting me know of amenities offered by the hotel that I wouldn't have thought to ask in a pleasant and welcoming manner.

The updated room was well-designed and I love the way it's decorated, so comfortable and clean as a pin, heater works perfectly, surfaces gleaming. I can tell this property is well-caeed for.

Neighborhood is great, proximity to some of the most fun places to be downtown. Really pleased I found this place, I will definitely be back.

So I've been staying here for superbowl weekend for the last 3 year with a a couple mid year stays and I still continue to enjoy staying here time and again. Compared to the pricing and fees everywhere else I cant beat this place. If your looking for a clean room, comfortable bed, safe accommodating staff, responsible maid service (I left my super bowl bets out by accident during maid service) and you understand this isnt the $2,000 night penthouse suite on the strip then you will have a great time being here a block away from Freemont St. Charging/using electronics can be an issue but I just unplugged a lamp and with preparation of a long charge code had no issues. The 1st floor of the Oasis Tower is a club which they explain the presence of music late at night that can be heard if staying here (earplugs available if needed), but when partying and enjoying Vegas, under the influence (responsibly :) ) you wont even notice the music. If it bothers ya then dont stay if partying bothers you. I liked it. And if you're here to PARTY then this is the place to stay for activities and socializing especially on the weekend with visiters and many locals. Oasis thank y'all for our holding luggage (no holding room but our luggage was safe in the office with many cameras arround). I will stay again. *thumbs up*

Nice location and free parking!
Wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived but we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has an easy location to find right off the highway and is near some major attractions like the Mob Museum.
The room we got was lovely, it was the size of two normal hotel rooms with a large TV, walk-in closet, and massive bathroom with a gorgeous shower. The air conditioning works like a champ too, you won’t have to worry about being too hot.
We had zero issues with the bed and it was very comfortable.

Worst experience staying anywhere in all my years of travel! The whole place is shabby and outdated and in need of long over due makeover, the rooms were filthy and had no refrigerator or microwave nor a coffee maker and rooms don’t have a phone, so you have no way to contact the front desk! They charge an amenities fee nightly (for outdated games you never get access to due to that the place turns into a very loud douche hip hop club that grants random non guest residence club goers to the amenities, so you are never granted the access to these things) the security gives paying guests a hassle to come and go from your room, they wouldn’t let us leave the first night out of the general exit ( they also had all other exits blocked including emergency exits ) the rest of the staff including the front desk where extremely rude and dismissive, they were more worried about accommodating the non paying club goers than paid guests. The very loud bumping club music started about 8 pm and went till about 5:30 am, when we called from our cell phones to reach the front desk we were informed “We are a night club on weekends, not a hotel!” Claimed it’s advertised as such on their site which it is not, it is described as a “Boutique Hotel” . There were fights in the hallways and a screaming match on our floor that went on for the better part of an hour! The Secuirty hassled us and wanted to see room key (which is all any legit place would ask for or room number) but also wanted ID and the same as the other guests in the room but were letting randoms in off the street for the club party going on in the lobby without asking for any ID! Save you self the money and the hassle of ever thinking about staying at this dorm from HELL with the worst clientele as well, not to mention there was a murder on the corner our second night there!

Greetings Depputydog, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us here at The Oasis at Gold Spike. We appreciate your feedback and are despondent to see that your stay was not enjoyable. For future reference, only our Poolside King Suites come equipped with a mini-fridge and we offer complimentary coffee/tea services in the lobby everyday from 6A-11A. In lieu of having phones in every room, our company has instituted a text-based system for constant contact with our staff and management team, guests must simply opt-in on their day of arrival to utilize it. Our amenity fee covers WiFi, parking, daily housekeeping and coffee/tea services, and free entry into the Gold Spike Nightclub for any guests interested in checking out the fun and games when it is in operation. Although the club is open to the public, we will share your interactions with the security team to the proper management team as all of our hotel guests are due a pleasant and hassle-free stay. As nightclub patrons have no reason to be in the front desk lobby, we're unsure of how/why our staff would have put them at a higher priority than hotel guests or had any interactions with them but will nonetheless have this conversation. Guests who wish to be removed from the Gold Spike activities are advised to book a poolside unit. We invite you to contact management at the property-level directly to further discuss as our goal is to always learn and improve from any negative experience a guest may have and turn things around. Regards,

It is a shame I am writing this review, this used to be one of my favorite properties to stay at on Fremont St.
First of all if you are booking on a travel app (I use hoteltonight) beware of the Bait and Switch. They will book you a room at the gold spike and force you to walk through the closed areas to the back hotel. None of the pictures or information on my app noted this, and there was no way to choose a different room type. When I asked the front desk agent she told me that I would have to pay a $10 upcharge to receive the room advertised to me. I had to request multiple times to be put into the room I paid for.

When I got to the room I noticed that they gave us one in the corner by the dirty linens bags, with a view of the trash cans outside. The room smelled of covered up vomit and the a/c unit was sticky. The ventilation fan in the bathroom was unplugged and looked as if it had been damaged. When they switched us to a different room it was worse. The pillows had strange stains on them, the bathroom had mold growing in it, there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room. In both rooms you could loudly hear the people on top of you.

I went down to bring this up to the staff, who told me that they were completely booked for the night and could not switch me to a different room, even though they were still accepting bookings while whey were talking to me and through the app that I use. I had to call hoteltonight to refund my room and switch me to a different property. As I was handling this in the lobby I overheard the staff complaining and making fun of the guests that had previously come in.

On the way back down from gathering my things to leave for a different hotel, I slipped on the wet slick staircase that they have leading to the rooms. They have no protective anti slip coating on the stairs and they become very slick from the pool guests using them. My back has been hurting since then.
I would avoid this hotel at all costs, it is not worth your health to try to stay at this dilapidated and dangerous property.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Customer service is horrible. I called and booked The real world suite for my 60th birthday. There were soooo many stipulations for staying in this room. If you have over 15 people in the room they require all food and beverage to be ordered through them. Also servers, security, etc... "We are trying to prevent a house party", is what I was told. HUH, It's my 60th birthday not my 21st!!! So for the price of the room, a beer and wine bar and a taco bar was going to cost 4400. No thank you. So on March 7th I called and cancelled reservation. Time went by and still no refund. So on March 17th I called again. I was told that no refund had been initiated!!! But was assured that day it would be. Today March 20th called AGAIN and was told that reservation was still active and that no one had initiated either a cancellation nor a refund. Again was assured that today it would be done right!! I did receive an email with cancellation today so keeping my fingers crossed that I will receive a refund. I'm a local military family and felt like I was treated like some fly through the weekend visitors that were just here to party.

Greetings psturg, We thank you for taking a moment to share your experience in booking with us here at The Oasis at Gold Spike. We sincerely apologize for the delay in proper follow-up to your cancellation and refund request. I can assure you that a full credit has been issued to your card and can see that a receipt has been sent from our reservation system. Our team has been reminded that all such requests must be answered in a more timely manner and that management should be brought into the loop should a delay take place for any reason. As for the F&B terms, this holds true for all bookings in both our Real World Suite as well as the Sugar Shack regardless of the age-range of our guests. Being that both rooms are located in the Gold Spike Tower which also holds the Gold Spike Club, we do at times get guests who attempt to host "wild" parties so the terms are shared with all guests equally. Should you wish to further discuss your situation, please feel free to contact management at the property-level directly. We do hope to host a future celebration and our leadership team is ready to step in and handle your booking directly. Regards.

I hadn't stayed at Oasis prior to this trip, but the price was great as was the location, since I tend to spend more time around Fremont than other areas when visiting Las Vegas. The hotel was very low key, as it is about one block from Fremont.

The room was large and had the amenities you'd expect, all working just fine. One of the floor lamps was unplugged, but worked fine once I plugged it in. The HDTV was quite nice as was the wi-fi speed.

Having free parking is a huge deal, since so many hotels in Las Vegas charge for parking, even if you are staying at that hotel.

I cannot comment on the gambling or other attractions at this hotel, though the back area was very well decorated for a Halloween theme.

One issue I had was the loud music (from Oasis) that played well past midnight in this back 'play area'. It did make it tough to sleep, but I don't expect a ton of quiet in Las Vegas.

While using one of the elevators, an employee mentioned a light fixture breaking and causing them a concussion. Although it was probably a freak accident, it was worth noting since the elevators did seem fairly old.

Aside from the noise and elevators, this was a great hotel - location, price, and free parking make this an easy recommendation, especially if you plan to mostly stay in the downtown area.

We needed a last-minute place to stay in Las Vegas, and the Oasis was a huge life saver. It was very reasonable priced for a spacious and clean room.
The location was also amazing. It’s just a block or so away from the Fremont Street Experience, and really close to a bunch of other fun bars and yummy food places. It’s a nice alternative to walking the Strip or doing some new, and if you still want to go, the Strip is just a short drive away.
The front desk worker we spoke with—Alexis—was super sweet and very accommodating to our late check out request too.
Overall we were impressed with the customer service, the location, and the quality of the room for the low price we scored it at. We would definitely stay again!

If I was in my 20s or 30s, and traveling alone or with other grown ups, terrible-ness of this place would have been more of an adventure. but I would never suggest anyone with children should stay here. At least the parking was fine. There are cheaper rooms nearby, cleaner/safer places nearby, just choose those unless you want the experience.

If you plan on sleeping in this room, forget about it. The room is fine and was clean and orderly but the nearby Oasis Club and Casino was so loud, you could not even think about sleeping. We had to check out in the middle of the night because the noise was unbearable. If you plan on coming into your room at 5AM you could consider staying there. If you are a normal, sane person, i would advise you to get a different room in Downtown.
