Large resort with options for guests to use hotel , spa, and pool areas when staying in cottages. Cottages themselves are in like-new condition and had all of the things we needed to make ourselves comfortable in them. Cottage decor is appealing and they offered all of us a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. The resort offers a shuttle service to transport guests to the pool area or nearby shopping and dining options. Pool was very congested and no separation was made for a quiet / adult only area. Towels in the cottages and pool areas are in need of an upgrade … especially when paying cabana rates! Dining options lack any consideration for people with varying dietary needs.

Cottages aren’t being cleaned at all right now due to Covid. That’s just gross. As you can imagine your accommodations will probably be trashed by the time you leave. They will dump towels and toiletries by the door for you if you ask.
The trash sat on my porch that I took out myself for 3 nights; never got picked up.
You can’t charge things to your cottage from the gift shop. An inconvenience if you have a resort credit.
The pool was completely shut down, lights off, all food/beverage closed by 6:30pm. Weird.
The hotel has an odd concept. It looks like someone transplanted a neighborhood of houses that should have been in Seaside but somehow found itself rerouted to Orlando in the middle of shopping centers and a really cheesy, waterpark next door. It looked too sketchy to even attempt it.
The property also is a hybrid of a hotel, and 2 villa rental companies. You can’t check in or interact with anyone who doesn’t represent the company you booked with.
They say they support travel agents but I never got a response from a sales manager about my stay nor did the front desk know what an IATA number was.
They truly will not let you check in until 4 so don’t even try to get their early, you’ll wait. We checked in at almost 4:30pm.

We stayed in a 4 bedroom cottage 2 years ago and had an amazing stay. This time, not so much. We rented a 3 bedroom elite cottage on Surf St. The cleanliness is not great, there were water stains all over the ceiling and the house was marginally stocked with kitchen supplies. The moulding was gross and bottom of curtains were filthy. The slip cover on the couch had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time. Coffe maker leaked and ice maker in fridge did not work. There were too many issues to list. Our pool was about 100+ degrees the whole stay and after coming out 3 times to try to fix it they pretty much gave up. The hot tub did it’ll not work the first 3 days and they finally fixed that. The prices have gone up and the service and quality have gone down. There is no management around to speak to and the service department really doesn’t seem to care much. The exception was Javon who fixed the problem with the hot tub. The main pool is still nice but they do not have enough servers on. We rented a cabana one day and the service was not good. We rented a clamshell the next and our server Clarissa was fantastic! I think for the money you spend on the cottage, food and drinks at the pool that it should be a much better experience. Not sure we would come back after this time.

Our family of 4 had debated staying in the main hotel versus the cottages and were glad we selected the cottages. We stayed on Sand Bar Drive and were glad to have picked our cottage in advance rather than having it randomly assigned upon arrival. We were closer to the amenities/pool and our patio was nice and private (not backing up to other cottages etc). The two bedroom was the perfect amt of space for our family, provided that your children won’t mind sharing one of the kind sized beds (ours didn’t). We had one minor maintenance issue that was assessed promptly. The cottage was well stocked with start supplies like tissue boxes, soaps, shampoos, trash bags and dish and laundry detergent. The only really critical item missing were pot holders/dish towels in the kitchen. We used a dish towel I thankfully had brought but for hot oven sheets, prefer potholders. Everything was clean and new and spacious with front and back outdoor spaces with furniture. It was nice to walk thru the nhood and over to Sunset Walk for sijing and entertainment including Game Time which our boys loved (video games). Not sure if due to the pandemic, but the towel shack at the resort only had one attendant at most times and only one towel shack was open. They had to handle a lot and tried to keep things moving but there was often a line to get towels. We loved playing shuffleboard and cornhole which was also right behind Sand Bar Drive. Overall we had no issues which is so nice for a vaca, and beautiful surroundings including tropical flowers and plantings. The resort pool is probably better for younger kids as there is no lazy river etc to keep things extra interesting. The hot tub is huge which is great. The resort lobby and gift shops and small arcade were a plus, too!

I rented a bungalow to treat my top managers in my division for a weekend getaway. We had a great experience until I actually needed some customer service. I noticed a $150 charge on my credit card a month later. After calling I was informed it was a late check out fee and was told that the Vice President, Mathew Brittain, was literally the only person with the authority to reverse any charge. I find this crazy and was shocked how unresponsive he was to returning a call ,which I never received, or responding to an email. I had to send him 3 emails and called 3 times before getting a response. I asked the lady at the front desk what the hold up was and she responded "he is the VP and busy". To make a long story short, I checked out 30 minutes late due to the garbage disposal being broken and having to scoop slop out of the sink for 45 minutes because I didn't want to leave it a mess trying to be a good samaritan. Matt refused to reverse the charge. In retro spec I should have left the slop and called them to inform them the disposal was broken. I have attached the original email and will not be returning...

Matt,

My name is Trey H. (res-06312). I rented a bungalow and was charged a late checkout fee of $150. Everyone's stuff was out prior to 11am and all trash was taken out prior to 11am as well. We were supposed to leave at 11am and we ended up leaving the unit at 11:30am due to scooping food and slop out of the kitchen sink since the garbage disposal was broken. I was not even going to make a big deal out of the broken garbage disposal and how disgusting it was scooping food and slop out of it for 30-45 minutes with our bare hands to make the place look nice, but being charged a $150 late fee because of it is crazy. I would like that refunded as soon as possible. I hate to reach out to you while you are on vacation, but the lady said you were the only one who could solve this problem. Thank you for your help!

This was the first girls weekend since the pandemic and was well worth the wait! Working in the industry you tend to me more critical when staying places. This by far was one of the best stays. Service was amazing and fast, the entire place felt like I was the first guest to ever stay in it. It was so clean and smelled fresh. Usually I don’t use the the hot tub when I stay places, however, I was comfortable to use this one with how clean it was, and it was heated upon arrival. On our last day, we were already picking dates to stay again. I highly recommend using vstays. The team is top notch and the cleanliness is amazing. Can’t wait to stay again!

I called on 5/2, to request a change as my father had a stroke & we could not travel. I was told no refund, but was given alternate dates. I told them I would call back to confirm new dates. When I called back I was told, now you have to pay $ 130 more for those dates. Grrrr, fine I didn’t want to lose the money already spent, then the representative went to rebook it and I was told ,no sorry you can’t rebook your dates at all, the first person was wrong & we cannot help you. So I have paid $800.00 for two nights that I cannot use & they will not rebook me OR give me refund. I asked to speak to a corporate manager, after being on hold for another 20 mins, was told none was working. Total time spent on the phone over 60 mins. I’m waiting for someone to respond to me and assist me. I cannot believe the misinformation and poor customer service I received. I will update this review once I have reached a resolution. In the meantime, be careful booking here, especially during this Covid time, as they are not good with customer service, especially during a stressful time. I’m very disappointed and this has ruined the entire brand for me.

My family stayed in a 8 bedroom cottage. We had 13 adults and 3 children in our party. It was a perfect layout. Having the house amenities and pool out back gave the family perfect space to come home after our long days at the park. The close proximity of stores and restaurants satisfied the wide range of ages 1-72. Our check in process was seamless, Josh and Isabelle were very attentive to our check-in and comfort. Our washer machine wasn't working properly on day 2, they were unable to fix it quickly. They totally replaced it, quickly without hesitation. Customer service was excellent! Joe the van driver was excellent! He needs help on check out day, Unfortunately we waited for a van for over 1.5 hours, but he stopped and told us he was working to accommodate us as soon as possible, kudos to excellent attentiveness by Joe. Our young adults loved him! Many trips to Sunset Walk. We will stay there again soon!

Stayed in cottage 8061 Knee Deep this past week. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Glad we had the car though as we were quite a bit away from the pool.

There is a master with queen bed and smaller bath upstairs with tub/shower. Downstairs there was a bedroom (with back door) with two twin beds and bath with shower in the back of the house and the kitchen/living area in the front. This set up was perfect for two couples travelling together or, in our case, a couple travelling with adult children as adult children can access their room using the back of the house.

Upstairs bedroom had private balcony with adirondack chairs. Downstairs bedroom had a patio with chairs.

Easy check in and check out. A little disappointed that they do not appear to recycle. I was told to put our recycling in the trash.

We booked at short notice and stayed in a 2 bed cottage with a hot tub. We booked through V stays who were totally fantastic from start to finish. Excellent customer service, they went out of way to resolve a Wi-Fi issue we had when we arrived which really wasn’t a huge deal to us, but they sorted it out within 30 minutes of reporting it. We were offered rum punch at check in and easy check out, just need to leave by 11am and leave keys on kitchen counter top,

The home was extremely clean and had all the essentials there ready for us. Very comfortable home and lovely clean hot tub.

We loved the cottages and can’t wait to stay again. We will return with family next time and get a bigger home. It was perfect for us, so quiet, no noise from other guests that you would get in a hotel, parking right outside the home and trash collected every day from the box outside the home.

The resort itself was amazing too, the pool is gorgeous and the drinks from the salty rim pool bar very strong. A nice lazy afternoon. Our cottage was a nice walk to the resort along the lake and you can easily walk to sunset walk shops and restaurants in the evening.
