The hotel is nice, beds are comfortable, the employees try their best to give you an excellent service. The A la Carte restaurants are very good, the food is tasty and the service is great, there are plenty of activities you can try at day and night, the swimming pools and the beach are very enjoyable. Drive during the day, roads there are very dark and dangerous at night, people, animals, trailers and you can barely see them. The hotel can get very crowded and noisy, and you need to know the reservation methodology in order to enjoy your time, like the web reservations site time shift to avoid making lines, and the location of the restaurants; if you can’t make a reservation you still can go to the buffet walking like 1000 meters through zigzagging paths, the breakfast buffet can get repetitive after some days, and the wifi is bad, only in the lobby you get good signal. I was there for business, maybe if I were on holiday half these nuisances wont be important at all.

It’s been over 9 years since I returned back to the resort. This time I came with my girlfriend and her daughter and we did enjoyed it even if it was on a Monday for one night. Check in took at least 20 mins bc now it’s in the convention room you have to come in so they can verify and give you the keys and make dinner & show . Food was basic with several items that were good and drinks were just soda , juice and coffee. Only 3 restaurants were available but were full . The only things that weren’t available were the massage and disco which wasn’t necessarily. Only two pools were open. The drinks weren’t that bad . Room was spacious and closed to the pool . What didn’t make sense was there was one hut that handed out towels , snack bar was like 10 min walk to the other side of the resort. Breakfast was good and close to our building . Beach is quiet during the morning. Parking wasn’t that far depending your building. Service was good and quick .

Going to be quite hones El Salvador for an all inclusive I was a little frazled when I arrived and check in was rather strange having to go to their conference room and sit there waiting watching 6 people do absolutely nothing where they could have helped us without eating into our time where it was only three days! We finally got to the room and guess what the stone age no key cards you get 1 key and low and behold the rooms are a good size! We had a king bed and there were two small beds so nice! I suggest you bring soap and shampoo along with things you will need!
I will say that if you speak english you will need to understand El Salvador is a Spanish country and you will need to understand Spanish and know that the simple tip will yield excellent service from all!
I will say El Salvador is at the tip of the iceberg for tourism and will soon make mega all inclusive's like Melia, Barcelo, and Secrets and when that day comes this resort will be outdated even more!

Save your money do not waste your time or your families time visiting this place. Took a leap of faith and booked this place since it was listed as an all inclusive resort in el salvador. This specific location is not a resort it is more of a large hotel with swimming pools where many of the local people purchase day passes allowing them access to the whole location. It is not a resort there is no one waiting on guests. You have to stand in long lines for 20 minutes . for a tiny cup of soda. You have to make reservations for a buffet food is not good at all terrible and the people working in the food area are so rude no help covid precautions are not followed there is no social distancing what so ever which is super scary. If more staff would be hired to wait or guests instead of having 30 people hounding you attend their timeshare pitches maybe staff would be nicer to guests. No chairs to sit on because of all the locals taking them early in the day. Was there for 5 hours tried to give it a chance but was so disappointed tried checking out. Was told that due to canceling at the last minute I would get billed for a nights stay since it was late and I had two kids with me we stayed the night. Had a dinner reservation my husband was not allowed in because his shirt did not meet the strict dress code for a buffet which is highly enforced yet 3 very intoxicated young men were allowed to enter the dirty buffet area. We ended up walking 10 minutes back to the room without eating. Woke up early the next morning checked out was instructed by the reception manager monica solis to request my refund of the trip not used via their website which I did after 2 weeks of going back and forth with emails was told I will not get a refund due to covid Decameron has financial reserve emergencies money is not being refunded back to people. Was told I would get a credit yet I only recieved a PDF document telling me again I wont get any of my money back I can get a credit with no mention on how to obtain the credit and that my case is now closed. All in all did not get my money back was a horrible experience please please please do not waste your time or money do not got to this place I urge you. I find my self hiring a lawyer now in order to see how I can prevent this from happening to other travelers.

The quality of the food at the buffet was poor to top it off they never gave you a chance to enjoy your meal properly by the time you got up for seconds they had picked up already. Think about it twice before you spend so much money at this place. The club/disco is closed and the best they have is a Dj that ends at 12 and Luis Ortega will make sure you get out of the area even if your lounging with a little of your own music. They gave me the rooms that we did not ask for and to top it off when the reservation was made we asked for 2 adjacent rooms we ended up with a room separated from our loved ones by 5 doors. Spoke to them about it and they said they had no other rooms until the next day and to speak to the supervisor the next day I headed there the next day looking for Monica the supervisor and of course she wasn’t there. They finally gave us the adjacent room but we requested two queen beds and ended up with a queen and two twins we had to put them together ourselves to form one bed by then most of our day was gone during all this process. They need more shade and seating for when the rain comes down seating provided was horrible and when. Lounging in the main pool area most of the chairs were taken. Just a horrible experience in my opinion for the all the money that we paid.

El hotel es limpio, pero no mucho que hacer, no fue posible entrar a la playa, la piscina es demasiado caliente, no cuenta con elevador para personas incapacitadas, la comida no es muy fresca, pasamos la noche mal del estomago.
Perdi medio dia de mi tiempo en el hotel en una sesion de multivacaciones, dijeron que podia usar mis decas en el programa RCI en USA, pero no dicen que se debe pagar aun mas por conversion, y al comparar sale mas barato pagar el hotel a precio regular que con puntos y un programa ridiculamente confuso. Ofrecieron semana gratis el cual no he encontrado manera de reclamarla en RCI. No pierda su tiempo y dinero en eso.
Para entrar se hace una fila larga, lo sientan en un salon donde le investigan a uno si viene del extranjero o si tienen tarjeta de credito y a ellos les envian un representante a convencerlos de multi vacaciones, Si no es miembro tardara unas 2 horas en que le den su cuarto.
Los cuartos no cuentan ni con microhondas ni nevera pequena ni cafetera. Uno espera al menos tener una de estas cosas que aun los hoteles de mas bajo costo tienen.

I lost half a day of my time in the hotel in a multi-vacation session, they said that I could use my decas in the RCI program in the USA, but they do not say that you should pay even more for conversion, and when comparing it is cheaper to pay the hotel at regular price than with points and a ridiculously confusing schedule. They offered a free week which I have not found a way to claim at RCI. Don't waste your time and money on it.
To enter there is a long line, they sit you in a room where they investigate if you come from abroad or if you have a credit card and they send a representative to convince you to purchase multi-vacation, if you are not a member it will take about 2 hours to check you in a room.
The rooms do not have a microwave, a small refrigerator or a coffee maker. One hopes to have at least one of these things that even the lowest cost hotels have.

I’ve been to aruba jamaica cancun and punta cana all inclusive resorts and this one was shocking and awful. the place felt too strict and staff was not friendly. they only give two water bottles for your room and the water bottles are only 16 once if you want more you have to pay. where we stayed was torre 5 and the bar closes early at 7:30 pm since there is no mini fridge or ice machine and if you are thirsty you would have to walk ten minutes to be at main pool and bar. the safe key you have to pay for there is no wifi. check in was strange if felt like a visit to the dmv. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the woman in charge who wears glasses and she really didn’t care or was concerned kinda felt robbed like we got your money and we don’t care. Never again coming back here again.

I wish I would have stayed home for the holidays. Staff is friendly, however it doesn’t make up for the terrible food, dirty pools (that close very early so you would assume they got plenty of time to clean them), can’t really access the ocean due to a rocky wall between the sand and the ocean, and if you were excites about the pool in the ocean, don’t be unless you are a marine biologist trying to study marine life. Also, due to covid, activities have been cancelled yet they are still being advertised on their website. The only thing to do here is take advantage of their unlimited bar to make you forget you are here.
PS: “Superior” Rooms are a scam. We got charged extra for a “superior” room since that’s the only one available according to their staff. We were told it had a view to the ocean and was closer to other amenities) got here and asked where we will be since they were cleaning and we had to wait for 2 hours extra to get our key, no one knew what a “superior” room was. Just avoid this place and save your money.

Stayed with my family at the Decameron for 3 nights only and was one of the not so good experiences.
Starting off with getting inside, you’re not allowed to get in ‘till 3PM hits the clock which is good since it’s an All-Inclusive deal.
Once 3PM hits the clock, if you’re being dropped off, they don’t offer any type of parking. You’re told that you need to get your stuff and move to the Registration area.
Registration – never seen this before, everything is manual labor, meaning, no computers. They have envelopes with the papers that have your check-in and out dates and a physical key.
Once that’s over, we were told our room was not ready but would be ready by 4PM – one hour after they enforce their 3PM check-in time.
Once the room was ready, we had to walk so far and glad they had elevators for the luggage but no direction to get from one place to another nor did the people that work there really help.
Everyone gave different information on how to get to one place – We would then find the place and were told, no, you must go to a different location.
Anyhow, in general, the place is just not organized, nor do they really care about your suggestions or complaints since you have already paid.
Honestly, I would not go back for another stay, nor do I recommend it to anyone.

I'm going to try to make this short. We rented four rooms for five days. In those five days water leaked into two of the rooms. Another guest entered my room by mistake, but the mistake was possible because their key also worked in my room (we confirmed that in front of the hotel's staff).
Three of the eight people in my group lost the bracelet they provide to be able to get the service. Fortunately, two were found because for the one that was completely lost they had the nerve to charge $120 dollars, when clearly the system they use to prevent them from falling does not work.
The food is a good variety of food as well as drinks, however the hotel is very large and they do not have waiters offering drinks or snacks as it is usual in this type of hotel, therefore you have to stand in a usually long line to be able to acquire anything.
Voy a tratar se hacer esto corto. Rentamos 4 cuartos por 5 dias. En esos cinco días a dos de los cuartos se les entro el agua. A mi cuarto entro otro huésped por error, pero eso paso porque la llave de el cuarto de ellos también servia en la mía (lo comprobamos con el staff del hotel).
A 3 de los 8 que visitamos se nos cayo la manilla que entregan para poder ofrecer el servicio. Por fortuna solamente a uno de nosotros se le perdió y tuvieron el descaro de cobrar $120 dolares por eso cuando claramente el sistema que usan para que no se caigan no funciona.
La comida es buena y variada al igual que los tragos, sin embargo el hotel es muy grande y no tienen meseros ofreciendo trago o snacks como es usual en este tipo de hoteles, por lo tanto hay q pararse a hacer una fila usualmente larga para poder adquirir cualquier cosa.
