This was our second stay at this hotel facility, and it is an update to our first review written in December 2022. Everything we wrote and described in our first review is still valid. All the employees we met during our five day stay in December of 2022 are still working and to our surprise several of them remembered us. New staff has been hired to handle the opening of the old Best Western section. Per our request, assistant front desk manager Daniella Fernandez was kind enough to show us several of the refurbished rooms in the old Best Western section. We had a bad experience at the old Best Western in 2019 and vowed to never go back. We tried the new tower once Drury Inn took over and we were pleasantly surprised as you can read in our December review. The old section was still under renovation when we stayed in December of last year. Those of you who my read this review, and may have stayed at the old Best Western before COVID will be pleasantly surprised that the old section is COMPLETELY redone. No more noisy central elevators that could be heard from just about every single room. No more musty and mildew smell in the rooms. The old section had central elevators that have been removed with only one housekeeping elevator remaining that is being used by housekeeping and we are told that this elevator is new and not the old design. The elevators to the old section are now accessible from the new tower. All rooms have been completely gutted out and redone with new floors, bathrooms, furniture, air conditioners, and decor consistent with the new tower rooms. The hallways are completely redone, new floors, wall, lights, and doors. About the only thing recognizable is the somewhat confusing hallways to the rooms, however they have installed well marked posted directions. The other thing that is recognizable is the balconies. That is it! The old Best Western lobby is “no more” the lobby is now accesible from the new tower. What a far cry from the old! Should you stay at the Lake Buena Vista Drury Inn? Our vote is definitely yes! This hotel offers a great value for the price point, with an excellent and happy staff, and from our experience they are still doing a great job! To all the staff, keep up the great work! Our thanks and special mention to Daniella; Maria at the bar; Steve, Stella, and John at the bksft and dinner kickback area; as well as Ozzie, Kevin, and Kevin parking and baggage attendants! We will be back!

Hotel's Favourite
Nestled in the heart of the Disney Springs precinct the brand new Drury Plaza Hotel offers families and budget minded travellers a fantastic alternative for their Disneyworld Experience.

Being a Disney Partner hotel the Drury offers similar benefits to on site premium hotels such as early park access and multiple
Shuttle services. I admit that Drury was not a chain that I knew much about before this trip, however after excursions to similar rated properties in Disney Springs (ie Holiday Inn. B Hotel and Wyndham) I can see why the chain has become popular amongst locals.

With upfront pricing marginally more than its competitors some travellers bypass the chain not realising the benefits of staying. These benefits saved our group of 4 -$100’s of dollars a day with the following inclusions standard -

Free buffet breakfast every morning
Happy hour from 5 with snacks, hot meals and drinks every night
Free popcorn, hotdogs, Nachos and soft drinks for kids every night between 5-7
3 free alcoholic drinks per day per adult during evening happy hours.

With the original October Open date delayed to December we were able to experience the chain only one week after opening. It was surreal enjoying breakfast with a small handful of patrons (however this changed as the week progressed with the buffet pumping on our last day)

Facilities were first class with a heated pool and Jacuzzi (spa) perfect for humid Orlando nights following exhausting days at the parks.
The gymnasium was perfect with multiple cardio machines complimented with extensive weight machines.
For those staying for extended periods of time the Laundry facilities were plentiful allowing for bulk washing of clothes.

The biggest benefit we found was the ability to book apartment style family rooms. Many Disney hotels have made the mistake of catering for smaller groups with single rooms containing multiple double beds. For families with older children these do not suffice with that client base often seeking larger split spaces to allow for separation when required.

We booked a 1 bedroom queen/queen family apartment that contained a double pull out couch. With two adults and a younger child in the main room the elder teenager thrived in the open space living room. Rooms were large and tidy with cleaning performed on request allowing the site to save both on resources and water by not having to clean daily if not required.

Overall I would highly recommend Drury Plaza especially for families travelling to the Disney Precinct in Florida.

Probably the only disappointment was managements inability to find a room to extend our amazing stay, the family just didn’t want to leave once our booking was completed.

This new Drury location close to Disney Springs is a very good option if you're traveling to visit Disney with a family. It was a comfortable stay. The hotel's update and redesign was done well, with a clean and comfortable environment for families with kids. I think the value proposition of this property is equally important. You can utilize their shuttle service to Disney Parks (perfectly adequate for us) and avoid the parking fee at the hotel. The breakfast options, as with every Drury property, are very good and better than your average "free" breakfast at a hotel. The kickback in the evening is not where you go for good food (it's actually not very good), but it will suffice if you're on a tight budget or have kids who simply don't care about food quality. The food at the bar/kitchen off the lobby is decent, but not great. It is very convenient to be able to get a decent small pizza at late hours, though.

The pool is very nice and the view/location is very nice. Easy walk to Disney Springs and some restaurants on S. Apopka Vineland Rd. Customer service at the hotel is also very good.

I am new to the Drury inn hotel chain but my first impressions are this place is awesome! I had only seen these hotels in passing before down the freeway and never knew much about them until I read a book about driving down i75 From Michigan to Florida! Anyway they have one of the best free breakfast at any hotel ever! Next they have a 530 kickback they call it which is basically free dinner with rotating menu they Also give you three free alcoholic drinks at that same time should you want them per adult per night! Then there is popcorn a pop at 730! This place is also priced about the same at a moderate resort at Disney or less and certain times of the year probably the same as a value resort you can’t beat it! The rooms are very clean and nice we had the 2 queen suite which will sleep 6 with a sink outside bathroom nice tub shower and another sink with mini fridge and coffee maker microwave! Two tvs nice safe for valuables and very friendly staff and housekeeping kept the place clean! They had a salt water pool also a large hot tub! They have outside and indoor bar and nice seating area around pool and bar! The market place was nice they also have food pizza and stuff to eat at there kitchen and store! They had Disney bus transport did not use it myself but you could book easy on phone there was a QR food needed to know it 2 hours ahead of time Disney spring ins also 10 min waking distance so if you get in a pinch you could use it also! Awesome place look into it if in area for whatever reason!

This new Hotel boasts reasonable rates, Great customer care, And their amenities, or as they call them, Kickbacks. You receive a free breakfast and dinner. Breakfast includes sausage, eggs, and their famous Mickey Waffles. Their dinner has sliders, hot dogs and they also give you 3 free alcohol drinks per person. Definitely a game-changer. The hotel is within walking distance to Disney Springs, and 15-minute drive to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, etc. The pool is large and has a saltwater solution, Not chlorine which is better in my opinion. They are centrally located to everything. Another deal breaker is they are a Hotel, Not a resort, Therefore no resort fees which I hate seeing at checkout. Simply great customer care, Stacy at front desk is awesome. This is the highest rating I've ever given a Hotel and I will return.

Brilliant location, within walking distance to Disney Springs. Shuttle service to the Disney parks was excellent. Breakfast offered a good variety, which was the same every day. Kick back served a hot main course every night, along with salad selection and hot dogs and nachos nightly, along with soft drinks and 3 alcoholic drinks per adult per night. We had a Disney view with balcony and were able to see the fireworks from Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The room offered a fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. We used the laundry, which was $3 per wash and €3 for dryer. Washing powder and dryer sheets were available to purchase at $3 each from a machine. Small shop on site, which was fairly expensive. The pool was nice, although it did get busy late afternoon and there were no sun shades for the beds. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return

My partner and I arrived back from a two week stay at the Drury Plaza last weekend. Usually we stay at a Disney hotel so we were a little nervous as to whether we’d enjoy it at as much. We were completely amazed at how good this hotel was. On check in, we were greeted by really friendly and helpful staff at the desk. When we arrived at our room we discovered that it overlooked the Disney Springs area which was just a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The washing facilities in the hotel came in really handy so we didn’t need to bring as much clothes with us. The hotel is also a 10/15 minute walk from Disney Springs and also a 20 minute walk from the exit of Disney where you have places like Denny’s and Olive Garden nearby. The hotel provides a complimentary bus to the Disney theme parks, another huge perk for us! The main thing we loved about this hotel though was the free breakfast and the kick back. Each night you are entitled to three complimentary drinks as well as dinner and snacks like popcorn and nachos. We always made an effort to be back at the hotel for our drinks as we LOVED the cherry vodka sour cocktail and the bar stuff were so friendly and always asked about our day - Jayden stood out for us in particular. We were so sad to leave and are already talking about our next stay at the Drury (which may be a few years yet sadly) but we will definitely be back and will be recommending this hotel to others. 5 star stay for us!

I can’t say enough about Drury Inns. I’ve stayed at several. This one is brand new, 6 months old. People are saying it’s a remodel. It’s not. It was built from the ground up. It is very large and has two towers. The saltwater pool is very spacious, as is the hot tub. Towels and receptacles for wet towels are outside, so there is no going in to ask for towels! The service is impeccable and what you’d get at a Disney property, but for less price. And the perks? Hands down the best value in a hotel. Hot breakfast from 6-10, popcorn and soda at 4:00, and happy hour /kickback with a food bar at 5:30 every day. I like the flow of the food areas/lines. It was well thought out, so there isn’t a bottleneck of people in one place.
My bed was better than at home as were the pillows. ( I have a great mattress at home too)
The bathroom was spacious enough and the shower did not leak or drip on the outside of the door. Quality linens as well.
I thought I had lost my keys and the staff was so helpful in assisting me. I also got an upgrade to a terrace room with a view. Every staff member was cordial and friendly, including housekeeping. I wanted to stay more nights! There is also a shuttle to Disney Springs and the parks. This is the industry standard for all hotels.it’s got it all.
I was meeting a friend at Disney Springs and I only live an hour away. I will be back.it’s like being in another world !

When booking our hotel one of the biggest concerns was getting to he parks on time. The shuttles run frequently and work well with openings of the parks even for early entry. . I believe its about evey hour and always ontime . If the schedule says 7 am they are leaving at 7 am .
The hotel sevice is excellent if you need something someone is available to help. The breakfast is good. Above average for hotel food with multiple helping to make sure food is fresh and tables are clean. We had a doulde queen suite. The rooms are very quiet, we heard nothing from the neighbors. First time here and will definitely stay at Drury again. In closing my wife says tell everyone how amazing the employees are

We were allocated a room on the 15th floor of the Cypress tower, the room had an unpleasant smell of popcorn every afternoon/evening. The rooms were very well equipped if a little bland, the wardrobe was tiny so not very good for a 2 week holiday. The 5.30pm kickback was like a school canteen, full of unruly children & unappetising food, in theory the kickback is a great idea but in practice it’s far from ideal, breakfast is also frantic and the food was not very good. It’s great for families with small children but not for a couple of discerning adults, maybe the 5.30pm drinks could have been taken somewhere other than the canteen? Things got worse in our second week as the hotel filled up with large groups of teenagers on spring break trips, the pool was full of unsupervised kids throwing balls around and jumping in & out of the hot tub. The best thing about the hotel were the shuttle buses, they were really good, on time & efficient with friendly drivers. The rooms were not serviced until late afternoon every day which was very inconvenient, when this was queried at reception we were told in no uncertain terms that they can clean up to 8pm as they have a lot of rooms to clean, deal with it! It was a 15-20 minute walk to Disney Springs along a good pavement, the location of the hotel is pretty good but I wouldn’t revisit due to the reasons listed above.

Thank you for inquiring. The length of time needed would depend on the time of day, day of the week, and month. We suggest allowing at least 15 minutes and maybe much longer. Thank you for choosing Drury Hotels!

Hello. The guest laundry at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando - Disney Springs Area is located on the 2nd floor of the Palm Tower and requires your room key to enter. The machines at this location take cards only and supplies are available as well. Please let us know if you have any further questions and thank you for choosing Drury Hotels!

Thank you for contacting Drury Hotels. There is no comprehensive list of vegan or gluten free items that would be accurate 100% of the time for all hotels, and our kitchens do not have allergen free zones. It is best to ask to speak to a manager when you arrive at the hotel who can check the actual labels on what is being served that day, which will allow you to have accurate information to decide for yourself.

Thank you for inquiring. Hearing accessible rooms include the options to accommodate a guest that would require hearing accessibliity as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act. There is a kit provided at Guest Services that would allow the guest to access the hearing accessible faciities in the room. A guest doesn't need to require hearing accessibility to reserve the room. Thank you for choosing Drury Hotels!
