We were in premium room 2. My all time favourite new getaway Inn for relaxation. From the moment we arrived, it was special. The premises are SPOTLESS, well laid out, welcoming and tranquil. No fussiness in decor, letting the beauty of the historical architecture shine through from this old manor house. Cold ‘bottled’ water and other beverages available in the pantry. Everything ethically sourced from beverages, to the meal ingredients, to bathroom amenities. The breakfast was a treat, especially with the ‘pre-meal’ beverages & yum homemade muffins served at the door to enjoy as we rise and prepare for the day, prior to the main breakfast event in the breakfast room. We enjoyed an evening fire outside at the fire pit, with the company of two adorable bunnies rummaging in the leaves, enjoyed the large tub, complete with bath salts and beautiful and CLEAN shower with great pressure and super comfy bed and high quality sheets. The fireplace was beautiful in the room, but it was such nice weather, we couldn’t use it for long( it was unseasonably warm outside) . The selection of Ontario rural books available throughout, not to mention in the library, was a nice treat and distracted my from my iPad! An impromptu chat about the Osage oranges tree and the pawpaw bush located on site was fascinating piece of historical botanical history. The connection of this property to the one at the Ravine winery was interesting as well. Really impressive thoughtfulness at all aspects of our stay, the staff were pleasant, passionate about the Inn and its offerings and truly keen to enquire in making the experience even better for futures guests- open to feedback, in our case about the new Chai tea and other teas, of which we drank alot(!) we will be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway; so much better than any hotel chain, traditional B&B and some other well known but over popularized NOTL hotels... thank you for such a fantastic experience...

We were on holiday in the area, just for a couple of nights and were taken by the lovely photos and the location. The hotel is a very traditional house, oozing with character. The lounge and library were very stylish and as it was low season, there was only one other person staying there. We got upgraded to a larger room. We felt we had the whole house to ourselves and since meeting the landlady when we arrived, the other guest and the chef who cooked us breakfast was the only other people we met. Phase 1 of breakfast, with coffee, juice and a sausage roll was brought to the room, and phase 2 was a sit-down service in the dining room / lounge. Lovely place and definitely recommend. Only down side is it's on the side of a main road and whilst quiet in the night, it did get a bit noisy in the morning.

The Inn is clean and well run. Our room was outstanding we stayed in room1 for
6 nights. Social distancing is enforced and mask wearing inside and serving food is enforced.
Muffins baked daily with fruit in season were delicious.
The chef is very passionate about her cooking and it shows in the different breakfast wraps baked daily. We, cannot wait to repeat.

I recently took my wife for an overnight stay in Niagara on the Lake's wine country for her birthday. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Woodbourne Inn. The room was large and had great ambiance. My wife loved the luxury tub with scented bath salts.
The building was so charming. We got a quick tour of all the wonderful staircases, closets, and fireplaces. I loved exploring the books in the library.
Breakfast in the morning was prefaced by a coffee tray (cappuccino, muffins & OJ) at our requested wake-up time. That was one of our favourite touches. The dining room staff were attentive and welcoming (and laughed at all my jokes).

We'll definitely be back!

What a stay. Woodbourne Inn takes the concept of “Bed and Breakfast” to a whole new level. The inn is beautiful with common areas including a library, kitchenette, dining area, living room, outdoor fireplace and seating areas. Our room came with cute touches like bedside flowers.

In the morning, a breakfast tray with coffee, juices and baked goods comes to your room. Then, you go down to the dining room for a delicious breakfast.

You definitely feel at home here! I would stay here again and again, and recommend it to anyone who comes to the NOTL area.

Well done, Woodbourne!

Lovely 2 days visiting Niagara on the Lake. The Woodbourne Inn is a beautiful bed and breakfast that provides excellent accommodations and exemplary service. We enjoyed our modest room, the delicious pre-breakfast trays in our room and the unique breakfasts served in the outdoor garden area.

They surprised us with a special anniversary treat in our room. We took advantage of the fun local restaurant down the street one evening, then used the special pantry with bottled water and homemade treats back at the Inn.

We enjoyed everything about our time at the Inn and thank their staff for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Woodbourne Inn while visiting NOTL for a wedding at Ravine Winery. Our stay was short (one night) but was definitely memorable.
We were upgraded from a room with twin beds (only room available at the time of booking) to one with a queen bed as luckily, another room became available when we arrived.
The place is a gorgeous updated Victorian home. Spa-like bathroom was a dream. Yvonne accommodated our very early check out the next day with a gourmet delicious breakfast and coffee to go, waiting at our door. Wonderful service. Highly recommend and we will return to stay longer next time.

First off, when we walked into the building we were not only stunned by the beauty of the inn, but were greeted promptly and so kindly. The place is immaculate. Clean, decorated wonderfully, and gave an essence of hard work and years of love. The food was wonderful. The hospitality is unmatched with great explanations, sweet touches, and staff who were so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast tray was the perfect start to our morning. The breakfast itself was amazing. I will be back here for sure. I am so happy to have discovered this local gem. Thank you so so so much for giving me a birthday I will never forget!!

Beautiful historic home, lovely and welcoming team that made us feel like we were staying at a friend’s home for the weekend. We were in room 8 on the third floor. Spacious with floor to ceiling windows and a luxury bathroom. Spotless clean and cozy. The grounds are filled with huge old trees and a lot of birds. Loved it. Enjoyed Friday dinner at a new brew pub that was a short walk away. Breakfasts were unique and delicious as were the snacks and the s’mores made by the chef. Quiet and peaceful and we cannot wait to come back! Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a brief getaway at this old manor house in Niagara on the Lake. Property is well appointed on lovely grounds. Rooms are bright and clean; staff are attentive and friendly. Common rooms make for excellent gathering places. The breakfast, which was very tasty, featured non-traditional offerings which can be substited for traditional breakfast. A lovely respite.

Hi Gabrielle! Thanks for your question. Are you asking about bringing your own bike or are you looking to rent a bike? The closest trail would be the Lower Queenston section of the Bruce trail. It is about a kilometre down the road from the Inn. Is that the trail you are asking about?
Answer from Sweetwater Group
Hi Clerna! Thank you for your inquiry! We are a company built on the values of excellence and responsibility. As such, we want to ensure the trust and safety of our guests, staff, suppliers, and community. This means, in the face of COVID-19, putting in thoughtful and cautious measures to protect all with whom we interact: We require all guests and staff to practice physical distancing by staying at least six feet away from one another at all times. Alongside physical distancing, we ask guests to respect common spaces. We will limit the number of people in these areas unless you are a family unit of more than two travelling together. We have modified our breakfast offering to minimize contact points offering our usual creative, high-quality food in new formats. Outdoor furniture will be strategically arranged to ensure you can still enjoy our outdoor spaces safely. Rooms will no longer be cleaned mid-stay to prevent unnecessary interaction between our guests and staff. Your room will be well-stocked with extra towels and other amenities for the duration of your stay. For any top-ups, contact us please.  Check-in and check-out will be contactless if requested. Common areas will be stocked with hand sanitizer for your use during your stay. We encourage frequent hand washing. Rooms will not be booked for at least 24 hours between guests. We’ve increased the frequency of property-wide cleaning and disinfecting with extra focus paid to high-touch surfaces like door knobs, remote controls, etc. Face masks are mandatory for all staff when interacting with guests. I'm sure we can accommodate a vegetarian breakfast, yes. If you could please send us an email once you have confirmed your booking so that we can let our chef know ahead of time, it would be appreciated. We look forward to hosting you!
