Nestled in a prime location, the Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village garners praise for its proximity to nearby attractions and dining options. While its atmosphere is noted for being clean and elegant, guests have had mixed experiences with room quality, pointing out both comfort and issues like humidity. The service receives commendations for helpfulness, though not without some concerns about efficiency. Opinions on value are divided; affordable rates are appreciated, but unexpected fees have raised eyebrows. Overall, cleanliness and a wealth of amenities contribute positively to guest experiences.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February 2022 for a gymnastics meet. We received a meet rate of $129 a night which was a great deal. We also did not have to pay a resort or parking fee and were given discount vouchers for breakfast.

Upon arrival we checked into our room, placed our bags down and went to dinner. When we returned we noticed the sheets were dirty on both beds. It was 11pm and we called down and they said they would bring new sheets. I decided to go down to the desk myself because it was late and we were exhausted. The manager asked me to send the pictures of the sheets which I did and he said he would give us a new room so we could go to sleep right away. The new room did have clean sheets.

The next morning we went to breakfast and I asked if I could use the voucher and the woman said no, you can only use these across the street. So I paid full price and they charged my son as an adult instead of a child for the buffet. The next morning I saw others using the vouchers and I asked can I use this and was now told yes. I gave the vouchers and paid and later realized that nothing was taken off of the bill. I later brought both receipts and Leslie who is a wonderful manager with the food did correct the issue for me.

There seems at one point there was a pool bar and food near the pool but it is now closed. You cannot get any food or drinks during lunch time at the hotel. You will have to go outside and find something which to me was annoying.

The sinks in the room are very slow to drain and fill up very quickly. The water pressure in the shower is low.

Overall I would say this hotel is not a terrible choice and it is in a good location and it seems if you have an issue the managers are quick to fix your problem.

I would stay here again at the discounted rate.

Overall, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. Our room had a connecting door to the room next to us, and we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the room next to us. If you are a light sleeper, or have children that could be bothered by this, you may want to look elsewhere. I slept with my earbuds in every night to help drown out the noise.

The front desk staff was professional and helpful. The hotel is an older courtyard, but our room had been updated with the newer furnishings found in Courtyards. As usual in a Courtyard, the new couches are for looks, not for comfort. Marriott needs to get a new interior designer that understands their customers want to be able to actually sit comfortably on the furniture, not just have it with a sleek, modern look. The ledge under the TV blocked the remote from working unless you held it over your head when sitting or in bed.
The older style a/c units are loud and hard to adjust. We found that the room would get warm before the unit would run, but then very cold before it would turn off.
When we got to the room we had no hot water in the sink (we did in the shower), and the closet door literally fell off in my hand. On the PLUS side, the manager I talked with had the issues resolved very quickly.
On the plus side, the hotel is very near Disney and there are a lot of restaurants in the area.
I would stay here again despite the shortcomings.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This hotel is incredibly unsanitary. I have two rooms booked with them. Upon check in my room had dog hair and dust in it and my moms room had a ring around the tub. The layout of the king rooms are strange as well and we asked the front desk to provide us with a cleaner room. We also asked with this replacement room that we get a king that has the tv centered in front of the bed based on the layout of another room that we saw being cleaned at the time. We left our luggage with the bellhop and was told they would have a room available for us when we returned. Four hours later when we returned we were advised that was the only layout and if we didn’t like it we could stay at the Fairfield. After viewing this replacement room this was clearly a “downgrade” as the carpets were filthy and had a stench to them and the rooms were outdated. We returned to the hotel and then checked in to the “clean” rooms they now had for us. Fast forward to today, we lost our keys and were searching the hotel room for them. In our search to our extremes disgust and horror we found someone else underwear in our room. Now I this age of COVID clearly after two unclean rooms these rooms are not being throughly cleaned or checked by our housekeeping staff. We immediately went to the front desk and ask to speak to the assistant gm we were told she was in a meeting and would call us once she got out. A member from the housekeeping staff went up with us to retrieve the underwear with a plastic bag (photo attached). We left to go to the universal around noon and much to my dismay I realized at four I had no call back. I called back to the front desk and spoke to angel and was told she left for the day. Clearly a lack of concern for the customer. I was called back by Antonio and the only resolution I was offered was changing my room for a third time and a $50 credit. I feel this unacceptable after I interrupt my time at universal to try to get some resolution. I absolutely do not recommend anyone stay here because clearly the Marriott does not care about providing there customers with a clean room

We visited here e in January had a two night reservation. The a/c unit made an horrific noise into the night so we had to turn it off. We advised the desk that we would be in the parks all day and to please have it fixed. Returned later that evening to find it had not been repaired. Went down to speak to a manager, I spoke with Martha who waived our $15/night parking fee, and she said she would speak to her manager about additional compensation. After 3 calls Tina Coe sent us 2 vouchers for a free night’s stay. Booked again using a voucher for 2/16 and to no surprise there were issues. The so called Manager on Duty ( Zerina who has no managerial authority ) tried to explain that our booking was not under the voucher but at regular rates. She refused to call the manager who issued the voucher and said we could speak to someone in a position of authority in the Morning. Cannot wait!! As a person who travels 150 days plus a year and is a proud Hilton Honors member, I will never stay in another Marriot owned property. If a Manager on duty does not have the authority to make a customers stay and overall experience the best possible, that person should not be a Manager. I will visit every booking site and copy and paste this post, hopefully Marriot will see it somewhere and actually take notice of their deficiencies.

My husband I stayed here for 3 nights while he attended business meetings in the hotel. I have travelled the world and visited more than 25 countries and this hotel had one of the worst beds I’ve ever tried to sleep in. The mattresses are so old they sink in the middle and therefore hurt either your knees (I’m a side sleeper) or your back. The pillows all went completely flat the moment you put any weight on them. We both barely slept the entire trip.
The bathroom has the sink in the main room so if one person is getting ready they wake the other person up. We had a walk in shower but with an old shower curtain that sucked up against you while you’re trying to bathe and didn’t do much to keep the water in the pan.
My husbands business meetings were catered by the hotel and he said the food was horrible and virtually inedible.
The hotel is frequented by teams of cheerleaders attending conventions and although they didn’t bother us another guest said they kept them up several nights in a row.
I gave this a 2 star rating because, on the positive side, the hotel staff were very nice and attentive, the location is close to many restaurants and all the Disney attractions and the price was reasonable given the ridiculous hotel prices in the area.
The pool was nice and very thankfully the hot tub was hot to sooth our aching backs before we endured yet another sleepless night.
I will never willingly stay here again.

Took a little vacation with family before school starts. We checked in late Derrick was the one who jo checked us in he was a sweet funny young man. Have no complaints on our room the only thing is towels weren’t provided no house keeping. Was not a big deal we usually bring our own anyways. Went down to bistro all week 3 girls that work there ( one is Spanish, one is from the islands and the other is Spanish with tattoos on her hand) great customer service treated me so nicely. I went to the bistro every morning asked for an ice cup of water in a venti cup (Starbucks) the ladies always gave it to me with no problem had small conversation were so sweet with me. The last day I was there I went down for my usual cup of water (I get it for personal health issues) this time was a different lady there, I asked her she gave me a small cup of water I asked her if I can get it in a venti cup she completely snapped on me telling me no those cups are not for water you can’t have it they cost us money and not for free water. I told her ive been here all week and the other ladies never gave me a problem she said that’s them it’s not allowed I told her I didn’t know where else to get water since they would be closing soon she said I can go a buy it at the front desk she refused to give me
The cup of water. One of the other ladies was there thankfully, you can see she told
The lady it was ok and the other one was so upset they gave me my water. I asked the lady that was so rude what her name was she said oh it’s Karen I went to front desk told them what went on and come to find out she lied about her name but with front desk help I was able to get her name. Her name is CESIA the worst customer service extremely rude and because of her I unfortunately don’t want to stay there again. She made me feel so uncomfortable that she changed my whole perspective on the hotel. Im thankful for all the other workers there but as far as Cesia she should not be working at a hotel or anywhere that has to deal with people. I really Hope this is addressed and other workers will go forward with what they know. Cesia is a bad look on the bistro and the Marriott it self..

I had a completely different review ready to go because I was initially so displeased with my stay at this hotel. However, Raynoldo Oquendo made it his mission to ensure the situation was rectified.

One of the reasons, I choose to stay at hotels over Airbnb and others is the convenience of not worrying about housekeeping when on vacation. However, that was not a convenience provided during my stay. Unbeknownst to me, due to Covid protocols, daily housekeeping service is not provided at this time. I would have liked to know this prior to booking or at check-in.

Not having that information made a lackluster experience, but as I said, Mr. Oquendo was willing to adjust my final bill to account for that lack of service. His commitment and his team’s commitment to guest satisfaction is admirable. Because of that, he has turned a “won’t stay again” into an “I’d be delighted to.”

We usually stay at the Fairfield here in the Marriott Village in Orlando, but because of Covid we received an email stating all reservations were being consolidated into the Courtyard at the time of our stay. This was our first time staying at the Courtyard on property. We got upgraded which was nice. The room was clean for the most part but we did wake up to a dead cockroach in the bathroom on our first morning there. The beds were not very comfortable, I woke up with a sore back every morning. The staff were all wearing masks but they were not really enforcing the guests to wear them. We saw several groups walking through the lobby mask-less and no one said anything to them. They had a recycling bin for paper in the lobby but none in the rooms, and I've been to other Courtyard properties where they have the recycling bins in each room so I wish they offered that here also. The water in the shower got nice and hot so if you enjoy hot showers like me that was great. The property is close to the parks and to Disney Springs, and the value based on what you pay for is good for a mid-range option so if that's important to you this is a good hotel overall.

Upon checking in everything was fine until I got into our bedroom where I am sending pictures to show you how it had not been cleaned and I don’t know for how long. Along with the spare bedroom that has not been cleaned for how long also the sink had hair in it and other stuff which was ugly gross. I had called to asked to have cleaning service come up and clean the rooms and they told me that no one would come up to dust the rooms that’s not what they do. So of course I did it myself because I could not stay in a room that was so dirty and I had family their grand children children and I had two units the other unit seem to be fine at least I thought so I did not personally check it I only checked my unit. Then at the end of the week while I was making the bed to do that became a little loose so I went to shimmy it to move it and at the bottom of the blanket I noticed blood on the blanket again I called housekeeping or zero and someone did come right away and again I am showing you these pictures so you may want to think twice about going there I was told they are going to try and get me a free week for my inconvenience of a dirty unit and blood on the duvet whether that happens or not I don’t know.Just So you understand I put my hand across the tops of the dressers and the nightstands and that’s what came up that dust. And this is during a pandemic shame on you guys I will take this further.
