Situated ocean-side in the heart of Miami's most desirable location near South Beach, The Setai, Miami Beach is an award-winning, international leader in hospitality and the hotel of choice for the sophisticated international traveler. The Setai masterfully combines the warmth of Asian hospitality with the best in personalized service and truly rarified comfort. Housed in a restored 1936 landmark building within the historical Art Deco District, The Setai has been artfully designed, weaving the aesthetics of the Far East into its original Art Deco facade.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

The Setai Hotel Miami garners praise for its comfortable and well-appointed rooms, despite a few mentions of limited views and balconies. The hotel's variety of pools, beach service, dining, and spa offerings are celebrated by guests, who also commend the cleanliness and attention to detail.
While some point out the high costs, the outstanding service and prime location near Miami Beach justify the value for many travelers. The atmosphere strikes a balance between vibrant and serene, although a handful of guests find the music occasionally loud.

Quite honestly I dont know why we have never stayed at The Setai before after experiencing most hotels in South Beach over the years. It was sensational.... the staff at check-in made us feel really welcome and special. Our room was so spacious and all the welcome touches stunning. There is a lot of choice in Miami / South Beach these days but The Setai feels and operates more like a private club and community for its guests. It was faultless - the Beach Club, Bar, Restaurants made more enjoyable by great staff throughout. Cannot speak highly enough about the beach crew who do everything to look after you at the beach. One of the best negroni's I have had in the US at the bar and the breakfast really wow. Breakfast os hard to get right in any hotel and The Setai is incredible. Without question our best stay in a Miami hotel ever.... we should have stayed the entire week but business demands meant we had to change hotels... ( big mistake ).... Thank you to every single member of the team at The Setai... utterly special.

We stayed 7 nights in a two room suite we had a small kitchen, whith everything we could need and good appliances, we had a small dining room and a big sofa, the biggest suite was very good in size and storage space, while the smaller room was not actually a suite because the bathroom was outside, and lacked storage space. Housekeeping was very good and thorough, breakfast had a good variety and quality but reception lacked warmth even if service was very good. Ou The pools were very nice and service was ok, personnel was not enough but was kind and efficient, beach was well equipped but service was lacking. Lunch at the pool restaurant was good as well. It is a quieter hotel than other hotels in the region. We needed to wait for the elevators to reach our suite and the corridors need urgent refurbishment. In general it is a very nice hotel, a refurbishment is welcome.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic breakfast, great rooms. Nice swimming pools, however(we were travelling with kids and could only use one of the 3 pools. That was a bit frustrating as this tends to stay overly crowded.
Beach service is good and the location is excellent for everything you want to do in Miami Beach.

I travel to Miami quite a bit for business and pleasure. My flight got re-routed due to weather the other day and I found myself in Miami unexpectedly. I went online to find a hotel and one of my favorites was available. The Setai Miami Beach is still by far the Gold Standard in class, quality and service. This hotel simply makes you excited before you ever go into your room. The bellman greeting you at door and then using some form of earpiece to forward your name to front desk. From that point everyone refers to you by your respectful last name. The lobby has just enough going on and shops to handle emergency necessaries and luxury purchases. I forgot my swimwear but the Olebar Brown store helped make that a non-issue. My room and view (7th floor Art Deco bldg one bedroom upgrade) was spectacular. The hotel upgraded me and allowed early checkin so I could get on a Teams call. The food and bar drinks were just amazing as well. I am also seeking to explore and try new tequilas that are hard to find. They even have a espresso desert made with my favorite scotch, ice cream, cake and coffee. I even made time to plot down in front of the 75 degree pool for a couple of hours and enjoy some lemonade and sunshine.
No I don’t work for this amazing hotel. Lol!!! 😂😂😂. Service is very important to me. Quality and luxury is an important part of my lifestyle. This hotel is not designed for weak pockets and coupon cutters. It is a gem. You would think they could not impress me anymore since I have stayed with them over 30 times. However, like a fine woman or estate wine, it never gets old. Well Done!!! I am looking forward to spending time at the hotel again very soon.

The hotel stay checked in with me the day prior to my stay and asked what time my flight came in because they wanted to make sure my run was available soon my arrival. At 9:30 it was ready and I was allowed an early check in. The staff was extreme attentive and made sure that we knew everything about the property. They even made sure we knew how to operate all of the room controls and the shower. The food was amazing, the beach was pristine and the pool was immaculate. I can't say enough good things about this place. I'll be back!

It’s not a bad hotel. But the service is almost a an illusion. The concierge never helps with anything more than you can get by using Google. If you have kids and u r not a vip guest you will be only available to use 1 of their 3 pools ( even if you see another children doing this ). In theory their most important thing is the service and the serenity and you will find your self a lot of time just wishing you have 2 star rated hotel service. Sometime you can get a good experience if you are lucky enough to cross with good people but if you are not a vip guest or an ig influencer even if you stay in a good room you will be get treated as you have to thanks for them to Andrea’s you as a human. The really good hotels in the world they only aim to excellence to every guest no Mather who you are. This one it will only take care of you if they want to, and I have a lot of written examples of anybody wants to compare notes.

Overall, Setai was a great place to stay in Miami. Loved the pool, gym, beach, restaurants, and staff members working there.
I downgraded my rating to 4 out of 5 due to two reasons.
My room showed some aging and needed repairs. Tub couldn’t hold water so I couldn’t use it. Hand-held shower was leaking so couldn’t use it. Furnitures in general showed its age with scratched top and beat up corners. Second reason is due to staff at valet area. They seemed only interested to assist you if you have luggage, possibly for tips. All other times, they appeared disinterested in greeting you or helping out.
However, those are small negatives and did not ruin my trip. I would definitely consider staying at Setai again and would recommend to friends and families.

Start to finish I cannot fault this hotel at all. From the genuine friendliness of the staff, their customer service is amazing. Giving every guest on their first visit a tour of the hotel upon arrival & escorting you to your room talking you through everything along the way. Alison checked us in and was just lovely, so friendly and welcoming. Lazlo that works in the bar is an abundance of local knowledge and again a very genuine and friendly guy that enjoys his job and is incredibly attentive to all customers. The concierge recommended an amazing Italian restaurant for our last evening, made the reservation for us, requested a great table for us and arranged the house car to take us and collect us again. You are made to feel incredibly special at this hotel. Our room was immaculate as was the whole hotel. The food and drinks menus throughout the hotel are spot on. We honestly can’t wait to come and stay here again.

We came to this hotel for our 10th anniversary on the Amex package which provides a set rate, “room upgrade” $100 credit, breakfast and late check out.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the experience is exceptional but the management are just so mean. They are obligated to provide a room upgrade and basically provided the worst room in the house next to the elevator and overlooking a roof. Even though I had previously called to mention it was our 10th anniversary.
2 hours later they moved us to a room with a partial view but what a business for a 30 percent occupancy on a special day. The only other questionable thing was getting a $22 minibar charge after we left when we didn’t use the mini bar!
Now for the good and there is plenty! The staff are very professional and welcoming. The room we finally ended up in, is unique and beautiful with a Japanese bath In the middle of the room. It’s an Art Deco building so the view in all these building are awkward . It has been very tastefully furnished.
The swimming pool and beach experience was very good with attentive staff. The breakfast buffet was exceptional and definitely what you expect from a hotel of this caliber.
Overall a wonderful experience.

What a complete rip-off. Absurdly expensive for a hotel with oddly shaped, run-down rooms, awful food and loud music pumping through the hotel, wafting into the room every night. The staff is aloof, at best. Typical interaction would be asking whether they could make a dinner reservation for me. The answer would be “yes.” No natural follow up like, “would you like me to do so?” That was true of all interactions—never an unsolicited offer of assistance.
