I generally like Vacation Village Properties but this one had some issues. People can look into the bedroom. blinds are broken and there are no curtains. So I had to block the broken blinds with a towel, no tissues, no spatula, microwave made groaning loud sounds, garbage at the resort grounds all week and never picked up. A few bucks to fix off of this stuff really and someone should get new blinds where needed. I noticed several units like this... Staff on a golf cart sees trash on the grass, they should stop and pick it up I think.

The good news was activities for families like big checkers and chess and decent pools. They should consider making one of the pools Adults Only due to screaming and splashing so all the kids are in one pool. They are just having fun I know but a little refuge for adults would be nice.

Staff tried to help when they could and were nice but some of the things staff cannot fix and it goes to management.... A little library with books is always nice to have.

If the grandkids were with us it would have been great for them with the loft and the beds up there, but for couples only, it was a bit disappointing but it was OK generally except for the stuff I noticed.

We stayed here from March 16-23, and had a great time with the grandkids. I loved the fact that I had a lounge chair, and table with an umbrella, any time of the day. It was quiet, and relaxing. Nice view out back, and nice kitchen, except needs a bigger coffee pot. Bring your own toiletries, too, because all they provide is soap. Not even Kleenex. No shampoos or conditioner. Luckily, I brought some.

Upon arrival we were given room 1343 (I believe). After unpacking and being in the unit for about 2 hours, we found the refrigerator was not cooling and the unit air conditioner would not go below 76. I do air conditioning work for a living and have attached a photo of the coil which is inside the unit next to the washer and dryer. There is and was so much filth in those coils that there is no way that system can remove heat and cool the unit properly. Not to mention whatever bacteria is present on those coils, it is continuously blowing throughout the unit for everyone to breath. Obviously there has been very little maintenance done to the air conditioner over the years. That said we complained and were moved to another unit. After being moved we were satisfied with the condition of the new unit. The units are spacious and it was clean. The units are dated but in line with other time shares we have stayed at. The pools were nice but one of them was very dirty. The activities were fun-basketball court, tennis, shuffleboard, chess, checkers, etc. The resort is a ways from the parks but we did not mind. There was plenty of supermarkets and places to eat nearby. Make sure you check out mighty wings just behind the resort-best wings I have had in Florida in 10 years. The resort staff were awesome. There is a children's playground. We went to island H2O water park which was well worth the money. The resort was mostly empty the week we were there, which was also nice. We had a 3 bedroom. Don't hesitate to stay here. The problems I mentioned in my post, I'm pretty sure I read in other reviews, so they probably just keep putting guests in the same units that have issues without ever fixing said issues. And if somebody doesn't say anything-so be it. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back there.

This 3 bedroom condo was perfect! A total of 6 people in a 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom lodging was the best! The pools were close, as was the playground. There were “ Devil” ducks, funny to watch and EASY to shoo away. As far as dated, I’d call the condo functional. No dressing up, just what you need. Exactly what I wanted. It was within an hour of the parks, beaches and airport. A Walgreens across the street, and plenty of restaurants to chose from. I’d recommend it to any family!

I don't typically write reviews but I felt compelled to write one this time. While we had booked 7 nights at the Villas at Fortune Place, we stayed only about 18 hours. To say this resort, and I use the term loosely, is rundown is an understatement. It is also filthy and the appliances are in appalling condition. One bedroom's fan only worked if the light was on, which made sleep difficult. But we were not keen on sleeping in the beds anyway as we were concerned about catching something. My daughter slept on her jacket while I didn't sleep at all. Also, when running water, particularly in one of the bathrooms, it smelled like rotten eggs. One reason to go to a resort through RCI is to have a kitchen to cook in. The appliances were filthy and the microwave appeared in disrepair and thus unsafe to use. The stove/oven was questionable. So we felt unsafe to cook in that kitchen. The TV in the living room could only be operated directly from the TV. When we checked out, no one asked why we were leaving less than 24 hours since checking in. This leads me to believe they know how bad their resort is and they just don’t care.

This is our fourth vacation at The Villas at Fortune Place. Although we have exchanged through Rci at numerous resorts in the Kissimmee area, we keep returning To “Fortune”. This resort is definitely older, however, it’s character Is awesome!
Things we appreciate:
The staff is friendly and accommodating. The parking is right in front of your unit door-no long hallways and elevators, no competition for parking spaces!
The pools are sparkling clean and warm in the winter time.
The location is away from the terrible traffic of the theme parks, yet close enough to hop on the toll road and arrive in about the same time as fighting the traffic down 192 and Route 4.
There is a grocery store with a hot food bar just across the street, as well as a Walgreens.
The playground, pools, gas grills, basketball and tennis courts, are all within the same area so that you can keep your children and family members close by in the same area and make sure that everyone is safe!

This was an RCI exchange for us and compared to other RCI resorts in Orlando, this was a zero. It doesn't even compare. The purpose of our trip was to visit the Disney parks. We had five people and got a 3 bedroom unit. Two of the bedrooms had a double bed each and the third bedroom had two tiny twin beds. For the purpose of our trip (sleep, shower, eat breakfast), it was mostly adequate. However, the units are very outdated, cheaply constructed "apartments".

The three bedrooms were upstairs so we had to lug all our luggage up. The stairs were very steep and we were all afraid we were going to fall going up and down. The second bathroom upstairs didn't have a hair dryer, and the master bathroom should have had more space for toiletries and towels. There was room to install a counter or shelf, but there was nothing there. Also, there was no shampoo/conditioner, only a cheap bar of soap.

The kitchen was fine, but the coffee maker only made 4 cups at a time which was ridiculous for a unit that big. The unit had a washer/dryer in a large laundry room which was oddly empty. It needs a table or a counter for folding laundry.

There is no view except a chain link protected small lake/reservoir. The kids did enjoy the visiting ducks in the morning. Location was not very convenient. It's at least 30 minutes drive to the parks. We didn't use any of the amenities (pool, etc.), so not rating on that.

Check in and out was friendly and efficient. And it was quiet and bedding was fine and comfortable. However, due to the shoddy workmanship and cheaply made unit, we will not be returning.

The people that greeted us at the front desk were very nice and the rooms were clean. That is where it ended. The lady in guest relations was not helpful at all especially after we told her we did not want info on the vacation club. We avoided her after day 1 as she sat outside her office on her phone smoking. Security was non-existent. Not once day or night was anyone in the 'shed' checking people coming onto the property. (It is NOT gated). There were several instances where we viewed people coming onto the property to use the hot tub and pool. One of these people approached my step daughter and her friend as they were sitting poolside in the evening. Nothing happened but he did not belong on property and left a short time later. There was no one available to report this to. There sre much better choices for a safe trip to Florida.

Rooms were spacious, beds were ok for comfort. The furniture was dated and you could tell the appliances were old. The dishes were dirty and I had to run them thru the dish washer before we could use any. Fixtures were broken ( my shower curtain rods were broken). The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was not the best as it takes 1/2 to hour with the orlando traffic to get to the main parks. Not a ton of eating options in the immediate area. There are so many resorts in kissimmee so if you have the option for something else I would recommend the other.

The bathrooms are super small. The toilets and the shower are so close. The Door to the bathroom is super inconvenient to open and close if you are in the bathroom its so weird the set up. We had to call because the bathroom had strands of hair and they moved us. the set up in the new room was the same. The location of the hotel was kinda scary at night because there is no security, the security is an older man and I don't think he can do much. Also there is a little guard gate and no guard inside. Its not gated at all and anyone can go in and out as they please. I did not feel safe at all. Also the kitchens are super outdated. I felt as though I was in my first apartment 25 years ago. The carpets in the bedrooms are super dirty my kids socks were always dirty.

Not sure you have the right review, Bonnie. The townhouse we stayed in had a queen in the master bedroom with a private bath, a queen in another smaller bedroom and two twins in the third. I didn't mention that it slept four with privacy in my review.

I would have to concur with the two reviews above. We stayed in May of 2016 as well and one of the three bedroom Townhomes. It was very large, and was clean, but a little tired. We had some challenges with seating as there was only a couch and a chair, and there were five of us. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there and would likely go back.
