Nestled in the storied surroundings of Sherwood Forest, the Encore Sherwood Forest hotel receives accolades for its pristine grounds and inviting pool area. Despite the praise for cleanliness, some guests point out that the restrooms could use more attention. Visitors often admire the hotel’s prime location, although opinions diverge when it comes to value, with many feeling the price point doesn't quite match the experience, especially given the costly amenities. Service quality also varies, with commendations for the amiable staff contrasted by frustration over occasional unresponsiveness and maintenance woes.

Pool and hot tub are nice! The 10 person limit is way to restrictive, but when we used the pool there weren't even that many people there so it didn't even apply (it seemed they weren't enforcing it anyway, thank goodness). Bathrooms near pool were very clean. Shuffleboard equipment can be checked out, but for some reason the large outdoor chess set is unavailable due to covid....nonsense. Our girls enjoyed the small playground. Campground is super quiet and everyone was nice. Not much staff around to be seen except for a few groundskeepers. We stayed in a cabin and it was clean (pet friendly), but our sink did have a small leak and we lost water for a few hours (full timers told us it happens often because random RVs hit water lines and such). It would be nice to have DVDs in cabins or ability to check them out since wifi is additonal cost at the cabins. There was a small lending library with books, a few DVDs, and one random monopoly game. Overall a relaxing stay. The queen bed in the cabin was not very comfortable, but it worked for a few nights. The loft had one queen and one twin mattress and was partially divided. The space is super tight between the kitchen and bathroom so be prepared to bump into each other or move to let poeople pass, but it worked. We had 3 adults and 3 small kids. We put our toddler in a pack in play (that we brought) in the living area....I liked that there was a divider you could pull across and sort of make that a bedroom. The couch did pull out to sleeper sofa but we didn't use it. I liked that there was a full kitchen, but definitely needs more kitchen pots, pans, and utensils. No dishwasher of course, but that wasn't a problem.

We stayed here for 3 nights. That was plenty. We met our kids/grandkids for a short trip to Orlando. The location was good for visiting Disney parks, but the park itself was lacking. First, they put us on a 50 amp site (we have 30 amp). We moved to the other side of the campground. The park itself just looks “rundown”. Many of the sites look to be long term rentals and need some TLC. The only available Wi-Fi is at the clubhouse-not for each site. Our key card didn’t work for the bath house. The bath house smelled horrible and needed to be cleaned. We won’t go back.

Apart from the friendly helpful staff, the location is about the only positive thing I can say about this park. The majority of the RV sites are sand with some tufts of grass and weeds. We booked this park for 3 mos and the grass/weeds were mowed once during that time (about 2 days before we were scheduled to leave).

We stayed for 14 days from Dec. 20th to Jan 4th. We had a horrible time at the RV park. The people in the site next to us had 4 very large Labrador dogs (we absolutely love dogs and felt very bad for the dogs and very angry at the owners); However; they left the dogs everyday inside for 12 hours or more. They would get up and walk the 4 large dogs in the early morning; then lock them up inside the RV all day and left the park for 12 hours or more; coming back by 11pm and then finally walking the dogs again late at night; meanwhile the dogs continued to bark all day and night inside continually; until the owners came back. To make matters worse; they would toss the dog poop bags outside their door alongside with a collection of white trash bags full of trash; where they remained all day for a week! the bags where ripped open by critters in the night with trash scattered by the bags. These people should not have been allowed to do any of this!!! Staff was contacted numerous times, and nothing was done about it; Others had complained as well. We did not say anything to the owners because we did not want to create an even worse situation and then have to deal with these kinds of disrespectful, rude people. It is the staff’s responsibility to have the park rules enforced; which they did nothing. We could not move from the site because the park was full. We could not leave without ruining our own plans in Orlando during the holidays; We had to endure this nightmare the whole time during our stay. The place is a mud hole with poor drainage. Just about everyone got stuck. Warning: if you get stuck in the mud, you have to pay to get towed out Everyone got stuck and vehicles where parking out in the road, some rigs also partial out in roadway making it even more difficult to pull your rig in or out. In addition; There is a helicopter tour just up the road; along with a regional airport nearby; along with the Orlando international airport nearby as well; so expect constant flyovers and aircraft noise all thru the day and night. There were other various issues as well; however, these being some of the main reasons for this review. We will not stay here again.

This is absolutely the best location for straight truck OTR drivers that want to go to Disney World! From the moment I spoke with Daisy to confirm they could accommodate our vehicle, we felt very welcome by everyone at Sherwood. Having full shore power hookups (they have 30 &50 amp sites) means we can follow the quiet hour guidlines, along with not having to run our engine or APU. Our furr babies were made to feel at home and completely enjoyed the dog park. They are located only 4 miles from WDW. We used Uber & Lyft both days for going to the parks with quick pick up / drop off times and reasonably priced.

Sherwood RV Resort now has another repeat customer for a long foreseeable future!!

We just stayed for a week. Check-in was quick and at the door, staff were friendly. We have stayed here many times through the yrs and we stay in the 520's, sites are flat and close to the dog park. The dog park fencing has been updated. The sites were mowed, we did see some fire ants but with alot rain it's hard to get ahead of them. Laundry is key carded now and was very clean. The main pool was closed for maintenance but the pool behind the check in building was open. The campground was quiet and the price was good. Be back in the spring.

Need to consider providing complimentary wifi as part of the rental. Having to pay extra for wifi is not ideal when all other camp grounds and resorts provided wifi. The cabin was clean and very nice. Only giving 3 stars due to the lack of wifi being included in with the rental.

Nice park. The pool area was well kept. The shuffleboard court was well cared for. The putt putt golf area was power washed while we were there. All the restrooms were clean. Liked having a key card to get in. Big park, plenty of sites to chose from. Close to lots of stores, restaurants & area attractions.

We camped at Site 86 which slopes and required boards to try and level the camper. Never did get level because the front wheels would have been hanging. We made four separate request for a picnic table which they never did delivered over our two week stay. Although, I saw others come into the park later and get a table the same day. Pool water clean but not kept up to temperature and only got in once. Hot tub was the same and water level stayed below the skimmer. We have come been coming here for several years without issue, but this one was a
downer.

It appears that if you want this price you must stay 30 days. The price starts at $408.00 per week during Dec. Of course one would need to contact the resort for their specific pricing.

Hello the cabins have one bedroom with linens and a closet, a separate bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal, except for food that you have to take. The dinning room is adjacent to the kitchen and living room area which has a round 4 seat table,in the living room there's a TV, a sleeper sofa and a chair. The cabins have a porch with chairs. Oh the cabins have a washer and dryer. They are way better than a hotel at least for my family. Unless u are looking for things like room service. Hope this helps.

With traffic, I would plan on 20 minutes to a half hour to get to Universal. The only casino that I am aware of is all the way over in Tampa.
