The Cedar Grove Resort and Cottages was perfect in every way. The setting and the folks who make the place work are all beautiful. Our suite was fantastic (the Coral Reef), and the setting on the Gulf of Mexico is as close to a tropical paradise as we have ever been. Anna Maria is amazing with gorgeous sites, great food, and the kindest people. We will 100% be back and would 100% recommend Cedar Cove.

We stayed 2 nights in the Flamingo suite which my son refers to as “the castle” because of the stone path leading up to it 😂 Every charming detail in the room and on property shows how much Eric and the other resort staff cared about our experience. Steps from the beach, private deck with umbrella table, free beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, coolers, beach front swings and a large tiki hut for shade or shelter from an afternoon storm. We’ve been staying safe at home since March and this was the perfect first time out for our little family. Full kitchen (including full size fridge/freezer), minutes from Publix and good food delivery options. House keeping stays out of the room unless there is an emergency and brings fresh towels, if needed, every morning. I could go on and on... can’t wait to go back!

Our first stay at Cedar Cove was perfect. The Coconut suite has an amazing view of the gulf and those sunsets! The unit was tastefully decorated (not overly cute), the bed was very comfortable, the full-size kitchen was modern and everything was immaculate. Of special note, the air conditioner was located well away from the balcony and windows allowing sleep and balcony time to be calm and relaxing. This property is well thought out and the host is all about making sure you have a great stay. As I said, we'll be back!

My wife and I initially celebrated our five year anniversary at Cedar Cove and returned this past weekend to spend our tenth. We stayed in the Mermaid suite on this occasion and we both think is one of the nicest in the entire resort. Everything was clean and new, the staff, as always, went over the top to make us as comfortable as possible (not an easy task given the current times) and we felt that they totally had our best interests and safety in mind. Everything was thoroughly disinfected and we were very grateful for this.. The beach is just fantastic with white fluffy sand and the water was amazinglyly fresh and crystal clear. Reminds of both of staying in the Carribean without any of the headaches of air travel. We highly recommend Cedar Cove to anyone who simply wants to chill, relax and spread out.

I was so lucky to have stayed at the Key Lime Cottage at Cedar Cove Resort with girlfriends this February 2020. The updated cottage had a special beach vibe, and was so spacious with the 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 showers and a huge jacuzzi tub. I loved the wrap around deck and the separate front and back entrances were quite convenient. If you want a resort that is bursting with vintage charm and has that classic old Florida feel, then Cedar Cove Resort is a treasure that you need to discover. The complete staff has first class written all over their faces and are there to make your experience so special. I loved the tiki hut beach barbecue that welcomed you with food, drinks, and music. Our cottage was just 50 flip flops away from the main attraction: the White sugary sand beaches with the stunning turquoise waters. The only thing you need to carry to the beach would be your sunglasses and sunscreen. The resort provides the towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. I was a happy camper to know that bikes were complementary. This island is a bike lover’s paradise since the speed limit does not exceed 35 mph. The kitchen had so much room and was equipped with all our needs to whip up all meals if we chose not to go out to eat. If you have not laid on the beach chairs late at night look up at the bright stars, I highly recommend it. Cedar Cove Resort is the best Resort on Anna Maria Island. I will make it my new winter home, and you should too!

My husband and I were on our 2nd week of traveling around Florida. We happened upon Anna Maria Island and did not want to leave. At the end of January and a last-minute request, Cedar Cove was available. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay and would have stayed longer but had to head for home. Lori, at the front desk, was very informative and helpful getting us settled in. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, kitchen had basic necessary essentials. We were able to park right in front of our cottage which made unpacking and repacking very convenient. A nice gas grill just outside our cottage was clean and ready for our use. Although potentially busy, most drivers were very considerate and would allow you to cross the street to the beach. Just a few yards away was a traffic signaling crosswalk and a free shuttle stop to go North or South through AMI. The nightly rate was reasonable with only additional taxes added to our room cost, no surprises of a resort fee or cleaning fee like so many other locations. We look forward to coming back to AMI and staying a bit longer at Cedar Cove.

I had high expectations for Cedar Cove Resort. They did not disappoint. The pre-arrival communications from the staff were detailed and helpful. Upon check in, Steve was very gracious in carrying a heavy suitcase upstairs. And what a view from the Palms!! Whether you were gazing out the living room windows, standing at the stove making a meal, or lounging on the private balcony, you had million dollar views of the water. The nicely stocked kitchen had a cooktop, separate oven, full size refrigerator, and microwave. Mornings and evenings were quiet on the property and the A/C worked well as did the furnace (yes, I got to experience both weather extremes during my visit). The bed was incredibly comfortable with several excellent pillows. Both bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. Daily maid service isn't an option but an exchange for fresh towels is available. Lack of daily maid service doesn't mean the units are dirty though. Bathrooms, kitchen, dining area...all were spotless. The parking situation means every unit has one assigned space. The Palms has a prime spot underneath the building but depending on the size of the other vehicles in the lot, it may require some maneuvering to get there. There are plenty of beach chairs, towels, and bikes to borrow as well as a picnic area with grills. It is a very tranquil setting and if you are looking for a relaxing vacation spot that is literally steps to the beach, this should be your first choice.

We stayed at the The Key Lime cottage this cottage was very spacious we had a group of 5 adults and didn’t feel crowded at all. The cottages is literally steps away from the pearly white sand and crystal turquoise water. The resorts has so much to offer there guests with no hidden fees, from bicycles, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas are just a few. We truly enjoyed our stay here, if you are looking for a low keyed beach getaway look no further. We stayed here recently to quietly celebrate our 39th Anniversary. It was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stretch of beach this little resort is situated on was relatively calm and one of the days we were there we nearly had it to ourselves. The resort itself is not fancy or new but it was clean and we were provided with beach towels, umbrella and beach chaise loungers. They have an onsite store in case you need sunscreen or a soda and there is a “take one leave one” library so you can swap your book for a new one. There is a trolley stop just steps from the resort. It was a great stay and we already have decided to return next summer.

My daughter and I were there the last week of July, booked 2 nights but after arriving extended another night. The whole place is so charming. We liked having our own space, while not always having maid service. The place has a basket you put your towels in and leave in the morning outside, they pick up and replace with clean ones. It's lovely and right on the beach. Every morning I had coffee outside in different locations on the property. I did yoga right on our patio. They have a Tiki hut if you want to have your own cocktails, also a grill. If I had anything negative it would be the electrical outlets need an upgrade, they were old and we had trouble getting our phones to charge, and the plugs would fall out. Finally, we discovered a USB charging on one of the tables in the bedroom. Wifi was iffy at times. They had everything you needed for the beach, chairs, umbrellas and towels, and bicycles. And if you want to rent a Golf cart you can. Parking was included. We met people that came every year. The resort was quiet and chill just like we wanted. The staff was also so lovely and helpful. We learned to read a book of information and rules which is in the room. Mask were required in the office but no anywhere else on the property.
