Tropical Sands is a small resort which makes it very easy to get in and out of the unit, as well as, checking in and out. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Although not on the beach, it's just across the street. The pool is very nice and they offer free bicycles to ride.

We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath condo. Shower tricked in the master and after several back and forth calls it never did get fixed after a week. The refrigerator leaked water so the crisp bins were filled with water. The pool was nice and we had good TV/-Netflix. The walk to the beach was 1/2 a mile so not good for someone who has difficulty walking. Near to a few good restaurants and we spent a bit of time at Lovers Key.

Again we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Tropical Sands is located across the street from the beach and approximately 1/2 mile from gulf access. Lovers Key is definitely one of the nicest beaches in the area and a trolley stops near the resort for easy access if you do not have a vehicle. Friendly, attentive, and very helpful staff (especially Christina). Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Kitchen is well stocked with a full size dishwasher and washer/dryer. The pool is nice and good for families or people without kids. There is a beach trolley that goes up and down the island all day long so you don't really need a car. It's right across the street from the beach and there's an entrance to the beach literally right across the street. We will definitely stay again!

This was a last-minute booking for us due to Covid–19. By the looks of the interior this resort is quite old… The place clearly needs an update. I think the only newer items were the TVs and the living room furniture. The pool area was average but if you’re more of a beach person be prepared to walk about a quarter of a mile. You would think you’d have beach access right across the street but there is a natural preserve between the road and the beach so that’s a no go. It was also located at the south end of the island and all the action is at the north end so be prepared to drive and pay for parking or wait around for the trolley and pay the fare. We still had a lot of fun in the area and like I said at the beginning of this review, this was a last-minute booking and I would not plan a future stay at this resort.

Thank you for taking time to review Tropical Sands Resort. We are continuously making updates to the units as you noticed and yes the building is older (Built in 1974). We work to make sure there is some type of improvement done each year within budget. But many appreciate the size of the units and the amenities within (wireless, full kitchen, washer and dryer). The resort being located across the street and at the south end of the island allows for a quiet relaxing stay, lounging by the pool, and taking evening and early morning walks on the island. D1, D2, D3 and K1 , K2, K3 all have obstructed views. Your balcony and the window from the master will be staring at a wall of the other building. 7 feet is between the balcony and the wall for the other buildings. Layout on website is misleading. D1 and K1 have an advantage of being on the first floor and walking out to the pool. BUT then everyone in the resort will pass by your balcony. You will not get any sun into these rooms. Bathrooms are very dated and the water pressure in the showers are very very low. Kitchen has been nicely updated. BUT second bedroom has 2 single beds! The room has space for full size beds!. If you are exchanging into this resort and they cannot guarantee you will NOT be placed in these rooms I would pass on the exchange.

These units are indeed tucked away and do not offer sun into the patios but we have found some guests enjoy the ability to nap in a dark room after a day in the sun. The resort was very big with washer and dryer, screened in porch, gas grill, and full kitchen. Resort was sanitized and we were given supplies for week so no one would come in our room. Beach was right across the street, but a long walk. Unit was in a good location and grounds were taken care of. Check-in was easy. The only complaint was the dryer must have had something wrong with it (it dried), but it was extremely loud. I would go again.

The resort was across the main street. There was little traffic so getting to the beach area was not a problem. There is a small salt water pond that is refilled every day when the tide is high. You have to either walk through the standing water or walk a short distance to get around the pond. The resort is very nice and away from all the tourists. The resort is well maintained and the kitchen is more than fully equipped.

Large 2 bedroom unit with nice new living room furniture located across the street from the beach access foot path. Once you’re at the beach, you’ll have to walk a very short distance past the small wildfire sanctuary area, which is an open area with signage. Beach was lovely and fewer people at this end rather than the northern end. You’ll need to drive to most restaurants, altho a few could be accessed by sidewalks within a mile. It should be noted that they’re widening the road out front for quite a distance, which will add a middle turn lane. We would definitely like to return.

VERY CLEAN RESORT a couple of things were closed due to covid 19 but the pool was nice and the property was clean. Best stocked kitchens in any time share I have been in sharp knives and a bar area. Across the street from beach access that has a small sound you need to walk a ways to get over if you don't want to get wet. Quiet end of the beach has lot of shells for hunting and when we were there no crowds.

Nice spacious units located on the south part of Ft Meyers Beach. The unit offered everything we needed. Elevator was nice since we were on the third floor. Plenty of dishes in the unit. Washer and dryer in unit was a plus, screen porch was nice even without a view. The pool water was perfect with plenty of chair and tables with umbrellas. We didn't go to the beach across the street has a bird santuary right across the street so you need to walk down the beach before you can use the beach. We enjoyed going to Bonita Beach a little further south with a restaurant and bathrooms and rentals. f

We don't have a specific company that we recommend. It really depends on what you wish to do while at the resort. There is a trolley that runs the entire beach and into town to the Walmart.
