The unit was in desperate need of updating/renovations including needing new updated furniture, carpet and appliances. Shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles were really tiny for a 6 day stay. We arrived at 3:45 p.m. and were told the room was not available. The room became available at 4:07 p.m. (keep in mind that Wyndham constantly reminds their future guests that check-in is a 4:00 p.m.) The group of units in Eagles Loft were mostly empty. Plenty of vacancy in these units and surrounding units. Read in prior reviews that these units had private hot tubs for each set of units. However, all the hot tubs in surrounding areas were closed per order of the HOA. Nearest pool and hot tube was in REC Center shared by entire HOA, estimated 200+ units in surrounding area and it was blocks away.

Very well equipped with pots, pans, glasses and utensils. Clean amenities, beds are comfortable and staff was friendly and informative.

WOULD NOT return this location until Units are renovated.

It was sad to read all the recent negative reviews, but our experience wasn't at all like that. The three bedroom unit was larger than we needed for just the two of us, but we found it spacious. The master had its own bathroom, the second had one next door, but the loft bedroom didn't have one at all, so guests staying there would have to walk down the spiral staircase to use it in the middle of the night. Another spiral staircase leads to the lower level with a single room with a jacuzzi. We didn't use it since we had passes to the Springs Spa, but may have used a hot tub if they had one.

The kitchen was a fair size for a rental. The fridge was full sized with ice maker in the freezer. The cupboards are dated with an annoying center section between the doors so that you have to open both doors for access and close the left door first. There was enough counter space for a rental but I'd want more if I lived here. There weren't enough drawers and two of the three they had were tiny. The dining table had 6 seats, so we were able to have 4 friends over for dinner comfortably. The living room had plenty of space also.

The first three days we were here there was a lot of goose poop in our driveway, but they came through and cleaned it off on the fourth day.

The rec center was within walking distance and quite large.

We loved staying at the Wyndam Pagosa Eagle's Loft, but our room had a few issues. First, the fireplace was like having a cold fan blowing - and with temperatures near 10 degrees, that isn't a plus. The rooms could use a deep cleaning, as dust and dirt had accumulated on the windowsills, doors, lights, and you certainly didn't want to look too closely at the rug!
But overall, we were happy as the hot tub and views mitigated the other factors. We also appreciated that the snow was cleared immediately from our steps so we didn't have to worry about slipping.

I have been to many Wyndham properties through the time share network and this was gravely disappointing. First let me focus on the positives - the pool/hot tub and staff at the activities center are gems. The shower water pressure was excellent. Negatives - upon arrival the dwelling located in Masters needed to be vacuumed and it smelled of dog. There is carpeting throughout the dwelling which is mind boggling as snow is tracked into the dwelling. The areas near the window are not sealed properly nor drapes used to keep cold air out. The entire unit needs an overhaul from bathroom fixtures down to electrical plugs. The light fixture in the bedroom did not so a lamp was tossed on top of a tall bureau. In the closet of that same room was the sweeper (which was ineffective), a broom and a toilet brush (huh?). There were no extra linens or blankets in the unit. The shared bathroom was TINY and so was the tub and the shower rod was cracked. The toilet seats needed to be replaced as well as a good scrubbing for the tub in the master suite. I never felt comfortable sitting on the living room sofas or dinning room chairs. We had two defective wooden chairs one broke and the other was wobbly. Maintenance did come to retrieve the chairs to take to the workshop to be repaired and reinforced with glue. It took 24 hours to get replacement chairs. This property needs a complete overhaul. It should be gutted and put out of its misery. #neveragain

We go to Pagosa Springs a lot and stay at the Wyndham because we are club members. Ever since opening up from Covid, it is like they are trying their best to either a) to everything they can to not clean well; or b) shove us in the most disgusting rooms possible. My husband and I traveled there for our anniversary and we had a great time, regardless, but sheesh! Even just opening the door was disgusting as the unit smelled like either sewer back up or rotten eggs. There was hair all over the unit that wasn't ours, even on the kitchen table. Gross. Hair was all over the tile in the bathroom and there was still a hairball in drain in the tub. There was actual garbage in the dresser drawers and a foreign sock in the bedroom. (WTH?!) The sheets and towels were stained! Gross! I grew up cleaning hotel rooms and I don't like to rent a room and have to clean it myself. THAT isn't my job.

Check in was great at the front desk--they were helpful with where we needed to be for our various activities that we booked. I did not call them about the gross room because I have before and NOTHING is done about it; so, I didn't want to make myself go through that headache.

There was a small kitchen in the room, but we just bought a pizza and cooked it. We didn't use all of the amenities possible, but there are quite a few. It is also nice to have a DVD player in the room. Cheap pizza and movie night.

They either need to create more pools and hottubs, or open it up to more people. Getting a reservation is ridiculous, especially since the one pool and hot tub is shared by multiple timeshares, not just Wyndham.

So Pagosa, please spend some of the dues money that we are paying every month to hire some good help and put them through cleaning seminars. There should not be any hair ANYWHERE in that unit when I open the door.

So, we just stay there because of the convenience and we are members, BUT we are tempted to next time just shell out some money and stay somewhere that might be a little bit more clean, and we have a chance in hell of soaking in the hot tub.

I used this resort as a RCI member. I had two back to back reservations because no 6 day reservations were available. I had two different units. A two bedroom that will accommodate 6 and another two bedroom that are adjoined and is supposed to accommodate 8. The first unit was acceptable. It was clean and in working order. I am going to concentrate my review on the second unit. This unit was two one bedrooms with an adjoining door. This unit was terrible. It was old, but not only old it was dirty. I named this review hot tub time machine. It had one room with a hot tub in it and the unit looked like it was from the 80s, and I am being generous. I have picture, but I am not sure I am able to upload them. When we arrived the two units were dirty. The kitchen floor was dirty and sticky, the kitchen table was still sticky after we wiped it down 3 times with soap and water. The window sills had so much dust you could play tic tac toe on them. The two toilets were covered in urine. Pubic hair was in the tub. The unit was not acceptable. Ironically we get charged a cleaning fee when we depart, but I want to charge a cleaning fee when we arrive. I want to charge this resort for the 1.5 hours we spent to at least make it stay able to the best of our ability with what we had available. I thought I had all the pubic hair out of the tub until I turned on the shower, and I noticed the shower drain was also full of hair and was traveling toward me. I am not skirmish and have lived in combat zones before, but paying for accommodations and receiving what we received is unacceptable. The smaller unit only had a window AC in the bedroom so the rest of the until was hot when the bedroom, or adjoining door was closed. The unit had a hot tub which was disgusting, dirty, and had a window into one of the bedrooms. Overall I was very dissatisfied. I had left a review for Wyndham GM of the resort and asked to be contacted. That was 6/18 and as of today which is 6/22 I have not heard anything. I spoke with a man named Paul who also was very dissatisfied. He said he has been going there annually for a view years now and his unit was also trash. I did not verify, but that was his word of mouth. I am a 50 year old man and lived through the 80s so I know what it looked like back then.

This was our first experience with RCI Club Wyndham. We committed to a 2-hour RCI vacation properties presentation and paid $50 for a "free" one week stay. We had the option to upgrade our free week and paid an additional $500 to get a premium property plus $150 in post-stay cleaning services and taxes. I called to ask if we were staying in the property featured in the reservation picture and was told yes. NOT TRUE.
Our unit had a dirty towel in the vanity, used pillow on the floor behind the bedroom chair and a bottle cap still on the floor. Not great signs the unit was well cleaned. We asked to be put into the unit pictured, but not possible. We asked for a credit of our "premium" paid. We were told to call RCI our booking agent. We did, but they said they could not adjust the "premium" but could cancel our reservation. This was not possible since we were meeting another couple there.
This was such a disappointing experience and so deceptive how RCI presented the certificate we PAID for... I can't imagine EVER recommending RCI to anyone.

We stayed at Pagosa Springs through RCI because there was nothing else available. This is an ongoing problem with RCI and the reason why we returned our timeshare. Check-in was a clown show, but they ply you with cheap wine for the hour and 30 minutes it took them to get our unit ready. When we did get to our unit it still wasn't ready and we sat in our vehicle until housekeeping and the refurbishing team was finished cleaning and measuring.

The unit we stayed in had not been refurbished and it was dingy and dated. In our opinion, the recreation center is the best part about this location and the pool was closed for repairs.

We took the Durango/Silverton train ride one day and the Cumbres/Toltec train ride another day. Both really great experiences, but nowhere near Pagosa Springs. Chimney Rock is an excellent tour. We took a sunset tour with a very knowledgeable guide and it was awesome.

We ate at the Colorado Roadhouse and Los Dos Charros. Both had excellent food.

Stayed here 10 times over the years. I always got what I booked but not this time. I complained to Wyndham with no luck. The units are clean and well stocked. They are very dated and have been the same over the 10 years. The living rooms are always very drafty in the winter time. Bring extra blankets or ask for them if you plan on sleeping on the pullouts. The grounds are well kept. The master bed is very comfortable. The mini units are not all the same. Ptarmigan mini's or std have tables to seat 4. Peregrine mini's or std have 2 chairs for a table at the end of a counter that is bar height, there is no way to sit and eat there. If you have a family of 4, plan on sitting on the floor or couch and using the coffee table to eat. Love the area for skiing and the hot springs. I will continue to return because of this. Not impressed with Wyndham as a luxurious resort. Updates need to be made to all units, clean and not worn out but dated. All the hot tubs associated with the full/deluxe one bedroom units were closed because of COVID and it said they were also being changed or remodeled per the sign on the door. Mini or standard units face the parking lot, so the view is not very nice. The full or deluxe units have the view to the golf course.
