Stayed here for one night as we were doing some family research in shellbrook. Great location, just off the highway and next to Arnie’s Grill and the gas station.
Friendly check in and very helpful! Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. We all had a good nights sleep. Shower was also good! Nice and hot! Everything you could need from a motel. Will stay again when we come back to shellbrook! You also get a discount at the local restaurants if you show the room key!

I was spending 1 night in shellbrook for work and this motel was recommended to me by several people and I wasn't disappointed. The room was nice and clean and the staff at the front office was very friendly and happy to help with anything I needed. If I ever have to work in the area again I will be staying again.

No maid service on first day. Had coffee, wrapped glasses and soap bars, but no shampoo, shower cap, lotion etc. until late on the second day. Were told on check in that we may not have maid service because they were short staffed, but this was not mentioned when the room was booked. . Paid $15.00 more per night than Ramada in Lethbridge the previous week end and had all the extras for less money. However, the staff was friendly and the room was clean on arrival and bed was comfortable, but expected better service for the money. Will stay again, but will expect full maid service daily.

Terrible customer service. Rude & snappy owner. Signs in office offer late check out but when asked to get one, am told I can’t. “If they allow it for one then they have to allow others” no wifi for the three days there. At check in was told that technician was coming out & to wait an hour. There for two nights and room was never restocked! Be mindful of rates, charged more than what is on website!

Extremely overpriced room. It was clean, but very outdated and dowdy. TV didn't work well. Clerk told me there was a place in Shellbrook to get dinner. Wrong!!!
If I hadn't been extremely tired (with nothing else available ) there is no way in hell I would have stayed here. Continue on to PA unless you're absolutely desperate.

Small town motel that was awesome. It has everything you need in a hotel room, really clean, nice updated rooms. Flat screen tv with free wireless. They give you a 15% discount at the restaurant next door. Only issue is walls are a little thin so you hear your neighbours but overall a great motel.

I used the Shellbrook Motel as a pit stop on the way from Edmonton to Waskesiu Lake in Prince Alberta National Park. Liked the 'family' feel of their website so called ahead and left a message. They called back right away. Nice lady owner-operator. The room was recently renovated, spotless and well-equipped. Great bed. Plenty of hot water in the morning, fridge, TV with lots of cable options, free wi-fi. On Highway service road, but far enough off the Hwy to still be quiet. My price was something like $99, which, these days anywhere in Saskatchewan or Alberta, is more than fair for what I got. These are the kind of people who don't gouge you just because they can...they're into building relationships and customer loyalty.
If you're headed west from Shellbrook to Edmonton and have a bit of time, I suggest angling south through Blaine Lake to North Battleford for a rare experience. That route will take you longer by less than an hour, but it's worth it. You'll see a constant stream of long, rolling-hills priairie views (in summer, of both grain and canola), completely unbroken by power lines or farmers' fences. The fencelessness lasted for at least 100 kilometres, truly an experience you have to work hard to duplicate anywhere else except maybe in isolated areas of the Peace Country.
If you're headed to Waskesiu, the highway directly north of Shellbrook leads to the southern entrance to PA National Park. It's an old-fashioned road, graveled, hilly and very, very little-used. It connects with the old, now-called-Scenic route into the park.

Have stayed at this great motel several times. Easy to find as it's just off the highway yet far enough back to have a quiet sleep. The rooms are clean, lots of TV channels, in-room fridge, and a soaker tub make for a relaxing stay. I am here several times during the year due to work and the staff are great at meeting my needs for either easy check-out in the early morning or a quiet room for sleeping when Ive worked the night shift. There are several options nearby for meals too.

The Shellbrook Motel was nice, clean and spacious. There was a TV, fridge and coffee maker. It could have been a little more reasonably priced. With the room we received 10% off meals at the nearby restaurant.

The staff here were friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and tidy. The woman at the desk told me it was a busy weekend but I didn't hear any noise at all. Slept very well. I will be staying here on my future visits.
