Second time I have stayed at this hotel while in town for business and it was just as good as the first time. Awesome staff from check-in , to bar, to breakfast. Food and service is excellent. Clean, roomy and comfortable rooms. Have no desire to stay anywhere else when in the Segundo area.

This is my new favorite hotel to stay in when visiting Los Angeles. I used to faithfully stay at the Hilton Garden Inn El Segundo on Mariposa Drive but recent reviews about vandalized vehicles and over inflated prices prompted me to search elsewhere. I’m so happy I found the Cambria LAX. I always rent a vehicle when I’m in town so it doesn’t bother me that the hotel is not in an area with a lot of foot traffic. It’s surrounded by large corporate buildings with ample parking available. My daughter and I felt safe arriving back at all hours from various day trips to surrounding areas. All of the staff I interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful and helped make our trip a positive one. From the lobby, to the hallways, to the room, everything was immaculate with a modern cool vibe and exceeded my expectations. I had all intentions of finding out the brand of mattresses they use before leaving because it was hands down the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had. The Bluetooth in the bathroom mirror was an added bonus. I look forward to going back.

Just enjoyed another great stay at cambria lax. monrea at front desk made checkin process a breeze which is always nice but she also remembered us from our last stay, and was able to accommodate us with our room preferences again. Being avid travelers we can appreciate mindful customer service as this made for an awesome stay that felt tailored and unique to us. As for the rooms, they’re super clean and we have yet to feel rushed by cleaning staff during checkout the next day unlike some places where we’ve heard knocking on our door as early as 9am. Overall great stays that I Definitely recommend!

A nightmare from hell from beginning to end. First, you cannot check-in at the expected time because there is only one housekeeper and the rooms apparently aren't cleaned in time for this. This is the first indicator of poor management. We waited for over 2.5 hours to check in to our rooms. Secondly, don't expect to get your rooms cleaned. You will only get your towels "refreshed" and only if requested. Thirdly, there was a staff person, "supposedly", entering our rooms and we had no prior notice of this, we were told, "sorry we forgot to mention that someone would be coming in to take measurements". When we asked to speak to the general manager about this, we were told that no one was available. This was a totally unacceptable breach of my security, yet no was held accountable for this. Fourthly, I booked a meeting room for an event, and that was also a disaster. The Food and Beverage Catering Manager took my money and didn't deliver the food nor the level of professional service I contracted for. The food I ordered for a reception didn't get served and there was only one person serving food for a room full of people. I had to ask to someone to come and help serve because my guests were hungry and wanting to eat in a timely manner. The catering manager is a money-grabber concerned with only getting your money and then not delivering. Plus, she has a nasty and unprofessional attitude to go along with her incompetency. I was totally embarrassed that I had held a meeting at this place. I have learned my lesson. Never will I stay at this hotel again, nor will I book a space for an event. I had a bad experience at a bad hotel. They definitely are not ready for being a prime time, even a medium tier hotel. A cheap experience at a high price is what you get here.

I came to this hotel twice on the weekend, Friday was a church service, and Saturday was a church banquet. Not too much interaction with any staff Friday, but on Saturday my 14-year-old daughter went to the restroom, mind you I usually go with her but felt it was ok since this seemed to be a small secluded hotel area. When my daughter came back she informed me a man came in the restroom while she was in the stall, he came in looking in all the stalls, then he knocked on the one she was in, she said I'm in here, he leaves out. Ok, so she says she didn't hear any equipment or never heard anyone knock on the door to warn her that the clean-up guy was coming in. Of course I'm concerned because there are too many children these days coming up missing, or dead and many of them are never found. I explained the situation to the supervisor at the front desk, she did not seem concerned at all, she just said it was the guy cleaning the restroom. Ok, so you see him go in there? No, I did not. So what is the schedule for the restroom cleaning? We do not have a schedule. Ok, so how can you be so sure that wasn't a random man in the hotel that saw her go in the restroom? No response, except I, will talk to him. She never apologized or said anything to assure me this was a safe place. I will never go to this hotel again and will tell all people about how the supervisor has a very nonchalant attitude and wonder who felt she was the person for the job. No matter what the situation is a customer should always feel some sort of ease after speaking with the person in charge

The best part was the staff that served us our drinks and food at the banquet for nice and helpful,

I recently took a trip to cali last minute with my boyfriend due to a family emergency. Everything was last minute so I had to transfer funds from my savings to my primary account. It took a few days for the funds to go through, and upon my arrival I had explained that to the person that checked me in and told him the funds should be available by tomorrow. I also gave a 100$ deposit in the mean time. The following day I received a rude phone call from one of the night employees. She said they had to get some kind of payment because they were told the funds would clear today. Which I wasn’t too upset about the first time, upon returning to the hotel I gave the clerk an additional 200$ deposit in cash until the funds cleared cause it still had not yet at that time. (Not something that’s in my control) I was told by the lady that called me that I had to pay by 12 tomorrow the remainder and found out that our cards were no longer working, (but after giving the 200$ deposit we were issued new cards.) She shook her head from side to side and gave me attitude like some kind of loan shark. The whole display was entirely unnecessary and over the top. This morning I went down at 10 to pay the remainder as my money had transferred by then and was told by a different person (who was much nicer) that I could just pay at check out cause she wasn’t able to do it at that time. I gave her an additional 100$ cash so I wouldn’t her it from the rude lady later and when returning that night to the room we found out that our room keys were changed yet AGAIN and we couldn’t get in even tho I paid in cash for that day. Im not sure what the idea behind this rude ridiculousness is but if my family member wasn’t in the hospital and I didn’t had bigger things to worry about and I was just on vacation, I’d have switched hotels just not to deal with it. I’ll never stay here again. Lady I talked to was just plain RUDE and gave me attitude for no reason. I explained my situation and I was still treated like I was a criminal for again NO reason. On the plus side the room was clean and quite, but not worth the hassle. Will look elsewhere in the future.

The hotel is relatively new and that is nice the rooms are relatively comfortable and it is a good value for the price. I have stayed at this place about 6 times now.

Gotta say there are some problems.
1: Maid service is hit and miss. A few weeks ago, everything seemed OK but this week in my first room maid forgot to put in towels. OK I get it, but still an annoyance. My second room this week, I had towels but the blanket on the bed was missing. It just had two sheets, and then in the shower there was someone else's long black hair on the wall. A bit more detail should be spent on the cleaning - not sure why the sudden lower service.

2: Every guest seems to smoke pot and the smell is in the halls and elevator. That would be OK but the smell wafts periodically through the front door of my room as well. I get they might have smoking and non-smoking rooms, but they might want to establish a pot smoking floor so I don't always have to smell it in my room. Pot is much more pungent than cigarette smoke.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for the past 3yrs. The service was impeccable. The staff is always friendly and I understand that it’s safer to not have daily maid service. But going down to the lobby to get clean towels everyday is a bit much.
The old towels sit in the room for days which smells horrible. There’s no where to put your trash.
The room had stains on the carpet and the cushion on the sofa sleeper.
Check in was 3pm but we had to wait because the room wasn’t ready. The junior suite isn’t worth the money so the regular room will suffice.
The hotel was relativity quite Wednesday and Thursday but Friday there was loud music playing, a couple arguing and someone walking hard in the room above us. This went on until about 3am.
It seems to me that the hotel prices should be cheaper since everything is self service!!!!

I prepaid for this hotel on Hotwire for under $150. If you go to Better Bidding you can match up the descriptions of hotels with their lists and get a good idea of the hotel you will "win." My husband and I had stayed at this hotel once before so I knew what to expect. However, I forgot about one thing which for some may be a deal breaker. The barn style bathroom door is an unbelievably poor design. Whoever thought that was a good idea, and whoever signed off on it, should be fired immediately and never allowed to design anything again. This opaque door provides NO PRIVACY visually or auditorily. You have more privacy at Starbucks! Staying with my husband this was not nearly as big a deal as when I stayed with my adult son this past time.

The hotel has free parking in a huge, expansive parking lot, which is unheard of in LA, especially that close to LAX. While close to several major arteries, it is tucked away in a business park so is very quiet. The beds are just okay. We were upgraded to a suite because they ran out of doubles and I actually laughed out loud when I sat down on the couch in the front room as it had no cushion left at all.

The room was clean, although the bathroom definitely needed a little TLC.

In summary you can get a great deal on this hotel. It is quiet, has free parking, and is very close to LAX. If you're alone this is a great choice.

Was coming in from LAX fairly late before heading down to San Diego and needed a place to crash overnight. Really wanted an airport shuttle and free breakfast but decided to forego those because this seemed like a good value. I was pretty much right. Lyft XL for four with luggage from LAX (near Terminal 1 only now!) was about $30. Check in was pleasant. The Hangar restaurant was a lifesaver as it was late and we were hungry and thirsty. Room seemed very new and nicely appointed. Nice outdoor fire pit. Surprised there was a pool for the kiddos.

PLEASE NOTE: Sliding barn doors are all the rage now, but not so much on hotel bathrooms. Ours didn’t completely shut, so there was no real privacy. Please check your bathroom door in this (or any) hotel before accepting your room.
