From Vancouver this is a easy 50 minute ferry ride then you have about a 30-40 minute drive up island to get to the resort. You will see the Bodega Cove cabins first and continue on for another 5 minutes to the turn off to the Ridge cabins. We arrived early and were able to enjoy an amazing lunch at Nimma Nimma, OMG!! The food is fantastic and the people are so nice. I highly recommend eating here even if you are not staying at the resort. We were able to buy farm fresh eggs, the best sour dough bread, Beta 5 chocolate, and some great ice cream for the cabin at Nimma Nimma. Unfortunately they are not open all the time due to staffing and other commitments such as weddings and retreats, We were emailed just around the time we finished lunch that our cabin was ready. We were very impressed with the layout and the thoughtful touches in the cabin. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs including a master with a deck and a half bath. Downstairs there is another bedroom long with a full bath, kitchen, dinning and living area. The space is minimalistic but cozy. Lots of space for 3 adults, 2 kids and a dog. There was a deck off the living room with a couple of chairs and stairs down to a picnic table. The property was a ranch so you have dirt roads and lots os room to wander. A special thanks to Zack who was always there to make our stay amazing! The cabins are far enough apart so you have freedom to play your music and have fun without feeling like you are bothering anyone.

Great Job Bodega Ridge, you are a shining star! We are looking forward to our trip back in October!!

A group of us booked Bodega Ridge for a music and art workshop weekend in February, which is the shoulder season for Bodega. Despite having no staff on board during the booking process, Jesse was great at answering all our questions and returning our calls and emails. When we arrived and headed to our cabins, the heat had been turned up so the cabins were warm, and everything was prepared for a lovely, cozy weekend! The staff were sweet and lovely and willing to bend over backwards to accommodate our requests. We were creating a large art project to go with our music, (60 ft canvass!) and the lodge was the perfect place to do this. The staff brought us tables & chairs & lights and whatever else we needed. We had such a great time creating art & playing music as the sun streamed through the windows. When it got chilly, the staff lit a fire for us, & we sat around and played music & sang by the warmth of the fire. The catering wasn't yet open, so we cooked in our own kitchens & had potluck meals served in our cabins. The kitchens were well equipped, & if we needed something our kitchens didn't have, we simply asked & received it quickly.
There are no TV's here (that we could see anyway) which was awesome, & all of us (including two teenagers) chose to spend our time taking in some of the beautiful hikes in the area, knitting, reading, and of course playing music!

The weekend was so relaxing and wonderful, and we're grateful to Jesse and team for making it all happen so easily.

We recently enjoyed our intimate fall wedding at Bodega Ridge. We really couldn't have imagined a more suitable venue... The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there is a tree lined "aisle" that leads up to the ceremony site, where you look out on a stunning view of the ocean.
We had previously eaten at the Tranquilo restaurant in the lodge and enjoyed top class cuisine. On this recent occasion we got to enjoy a special wedding menu, which was absolutely delicious - all of our guests commented how much they enjoyed the food.
The Bodega staff were incredibly attentive and willing to help or provide local tips, always with a smile on their face.
Special mention must go to the log cabins, which are just fantastic... so cosy when you have a fire lit, there are enough modern touches to make your stay extra comfortable.

Bodega Ridge is situated on a beautiful ridge overlooking the Trincomali Channel, which we chose for the laid back, West coast natural setting and atmosphere, combined with the luxurious cabins and food options, and a high level of service. From the ceremony site to the pavilion, to the patio and the main lodge, there was a great variety of picturesque settings for each event at our wedding. We heard from more than one guest that it was the most beautiful and well run wedding they had attended, with the tastiest food (from paella to suckling pig, to ling cod). In addition, they were very accommodating for those with dietary restrictions, creating separate meals for individual guests. Our wedding was postponed by a year due to the pandemic and the team at Bodega were incredibly flexible, understanding and personal. Combined with the in house wedding planner, Angie and her team at AWE, we would highly recommend this venue for any couple that loves the outdoors of the West coast and the comforts and service of a resort, which feels both intimate and personal.

We hosted our small wedding here at the end of August, and we truly could not have imagined a better spot than Bodega Ridge (BR). We chose BR after having dined at their restaurant the summer before, and their food was exceptional! Fresh, seasonal, quality ingredients with amazing presentation and unique combinations - eating there was an experience the entire time. Even the food they had waiting for us in the kitchen of our cabins was one of my partner's highlights! All our guests stayed on the [pet-friendly] property for 2 nights, so we could truly immerse ourselves into celebrating with everyone while soaking up the Island life. The cabins were clean, cozy, private, phenomenal views, and had a great service to their food as well. We even had a wedding guest who said they took a look at their mattress because they had a phenomenal sleep on their beds!!

You could tell they run a people's first business, the staff were kind, professional, reasonable, flexible, and really hospitable. The GM (Jesse) and Wedding Coordinator (Angie) are who you want around when hosting a wedding, really tailor your experience to your individual requests (or offer ideas when you're feeling stuck). They went above and beyond numerous times...for instance, when we came for a day trip, they offered and followed through on arranging a bottle of wine to be delivered to our home by the winemaker (on Vancouver Island) to taste before we committed to serving it at our Reception!

All our guests loved their time here with us and we had an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back for a vacation, we didn't want to leave!! If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

In early June, when travel within our health region had opened ups, we were able to arrange a 3 day visit to Galiano Island. We had been to Galiano a few times before, most notably 46 years ago on our honeymoon. In fact, we had stayed at one of the cabins at the Bodega Cove.

One afternoon we drove out to see our honeymoon cabin, and then went up to Nimma Nimma for lunch. There, Chef Elmark treated us to what can only be described as a feast.

We had the spot prawns, watermelon salad, fresh sourdough bread, the West Coast Seafood Board, and the Spring Salmon special. Each dish was amazing--great flavours with beautiful presentation!

Thank you so much, Chef Elmark!

Thank you also too the warm, friendly staff who served us.

We cam to Galiano, in part, because of memories, but now we can see our future. We will be back.....and often!

Best wishes in the Post-Pandemic days ahead.

After getting engaged and deciding that we wanted to host our wedding on Vancouver Island, we came across ‘Bodega Ridge’ and set up a tour of the venue. From the time we arrived on Galiano Island, there was a sense that we had found a very special place that would carry with it a number of memories and return visits! This was further confirmed by our experience on the property, where a vision of what our wedding day would look like was described.

From the ceremony site overlooking the Trincomali Channel, to the spaces allocated for dining and celebrating, and the cozy cabins in a tranquil setting surrounded by nature, we had discovered a spot that suited us perfectly! As the excitement towards our day built and plans came together, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed setting for the most enjoyable wedding experience.

Following our rehearsal, we were met with the most incredible mai tai cocktails, and a room so beautifully set for a family-style meal. The variety and flavours were incredible, as were the staff involved in catering our evening. The accessibility of the property is also a bonus, allowing family and friends to come together for events such as ours, settle into their cabins, and enjoy the food and festivities without needing to travel too far once you’ve arrived.

We would highly recommend Bodega Ridge as both a wedding venue, and a spot to escape for a quiet weekend to reset. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, and the hospitality offered here!

My husband and I recently held our intimate wedding ceremony at Bodega Ridge, and we could not have imagined a more beautiful setting. Having both grown up on a gulf island (Bowen Island), we knew Bodega was the perfect venue for our wedding as it encapsulated the best of what we love about the west coast, while also feeling like a real getaway. The ceremony site is absolutely stunning, with ocean views framed by arbutus trees, and our ceremony went off without a hitch thanks to the hard work of Angie and Danika. Our group stayed in the beautiful Cove cabins, just minutes down the road from Bodega’s main property. Everyone loved the modern, yet rustic feel of the cabins, and being steps away from the beach was a huge bonus! The Cove was such a great space for everyone to hang out and feel at ease, which is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Thank you to the whole Bodega team for making our wedding so special!

I spent two nights at Bodega Ridge in early April and it was a perfect getaway from the city. The cabins are well-appointed and very comfortable, the beds and bedding are superb, and the staff are lovely and helpful.

The Galiano Island setting is spectacular with absolutely stunning sunsets guaranteed. We were able to enjoy brunch and paella night at Lola the onsite restaurant, and can absolutely recommend a visit there to anyone visiting Galiano Island.

I can't wait to get back there and highly recommend Bodega Ridge for a getaway that's quite easy to access. It the perfect combination of rustic and refined.

Pro tip: be sure to plan ahead and bring your food and drink along with you as Bodega Ridge is at the opposite end of the island from the grocery stores.

As someone who has worked in the Events and Hospitality Industry for quite some time, I have nothing but amazing things to say about Bodega Ridge and their staff. I recently attended a family wedding at the property and everyone couldn't stop raving about the setting, cabins, food and the attentiveness of each staff member.

10/10 would recommend to anyone planning a special event or looking for an amazing spot for a get away from the mainland!

Hello Heather, We have three 3 bedroom cabins at Bodega Ridge with ramp access to the main level which includes the kitchen, living room, a queen bedroom and a full bathroom. There are also bedrooms upstairs that do require access by stairs. At Bodega Cove the 2 bedroom cabins are on a single level with direct, walk-in access from outside. Please be sure to let us know if you have any additional questions. All the best, Jesse
