After visiting the North Coast of the Dominican Republic several times we finally found the perfect place to stay. It is close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Cabarete, but it is just far enough east of town that in the evening it is quite and soothing. We enjoyed hearing the crash of the waves while enjoying a drink at the bar. And the short walk was well worth it. The beach was clean, clear and very private. The pool was clean and refreshing. I enjoyed sunbathing all natural on the roof top deck and was able to get an all over golden tan. One of the very best things is that for under $100 we recieved first rate service from the owner Jeff and had clean room with comfortable beds (and trust me this is hard to find). Planning my trip to go back in December already.

Everything was perfect once again. We love staying just out of town so that we can have undisturbed privacy, yet still be able to walk Cabarete beach. Jeff has added a woman caretaker that gave us the BEST massage!! It was the perfect way to relax after a day in the sun. We will continue to go back time after time to this lovely hotel.

For the price of this room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and in very good repair. The bed was comfortable and there wasn't a musty smell that you sometimes get with hotels close to the water. The road to the beach was a little rough and almost made me take my rating down. But the view and privacy that you had once at the beach was worth the bumpy road. The owner informed us that they were looking at repairing it soon...so hopefully this will happen. The pool was clean and refreshing. The owner asked us about what we would like to eat and drink and really cared about what we wanted. I will be planning to go back again for our next vacation.
We went when it wasn't really busy in town. The was a large selection of places to eat right on the beach. This was nice. We were able to watch people kite surf which looked fun and exciting. They had little schools along the beach where you could take lessons.

I recently visited Cabarete for the first time and stayed at the Casa Roma. The room was clean bright and spacious. The surroundings were peaceful and had a beautiful garden to accent the very private pool.
Most importantly the owner Jeff was an amazing host and took me to many special sites and restaurants in the area including a German and Indian restaurant up in the hills. There is also the surfing beach and kite surfing beach as well as other hidden gems all within a short drive from his hotel. I fell in love with the area and Jeff is truly responsible for that by sharing all his local knowledge and being a wonderful tour guide.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained since the owner has remodeled recently. Its a good location close to Cabarate but in a nice, quiet location. The pool is nicely landscaped with a privacy wall making it a pleasant place to spend evenings lounging outside. The owner was very helpful with finding local adventure activities for us such as biking tours, a horseback ride on the beach (they brought the horses right to the inn) and even private kiteboarding lessons with a local kiteboard pro. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Don't let the lower price scare you. When we arrived here we knew we had scored! This place is small but beautiful with large rooms well furnished and very clean and newly remodeled. It was blessedly quiet after all the loud noisy hotels we've been in around the country. For us it was the perfect place. Just a few minutes driving from the center of Cabarete and less than a 10 minute walk to a long and mostly deserted beach. Jeff, the owner, took great care of us...taking us to great restaurants and to beaches further down the coastline. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone.

This little gem of a place was a nice reprieve from hard beds, big hotels, and hustle and bustle of the city life.It was also a nice break from having to speak my spanglish and speak to someone who completely understood what i was saying in English! My friends and I were excited about the little american luxuries like little snack bags of chips ahoy and nutter butter cookies. We also appreciated being able to have access to water without having to buy a bottle of water every time we were thirsty. Thanks Jeff (owner) from preventing us from being dehydrated! Rooms were very clean and pretty. Love the openness and colors of the rooms and property.

Jeff was amazing! He is very personable, checked in with us daily about our comfort and needs, fun, relaxed, and full of great suggestions. I appreciate his creativity and trying out new things to make Casa Roma unique. Drinks and conversation at the bar were wonderful. Thanks Jeff for introducing me to Dominican coconut rum...I am now a follower for life. The price for the stay was truly reasonable and worth every penny. The property is lovely and very well-maintained. It really is a hop, skip and jump away from the center of town. Caberete itself is a charming beach town. The diversity of restaurants that are available is surprising and delectable. My inner foodie loved that! There's also nothing like dancing in the sand on the beach, with a gorgeous breeze, delicious drinks, hip swinging music, and friends of the heart!

I travelled around Dominican Republic during 5 weeks with my husband and 2 small children. Casa Roma was the most comfortable and clean hotel we stayed at! We had originally booked an other place in the center of Cabarete but it was not convenient for us so we randomly and frantically started to look for another hotel and we are so glad we accidentally passed in front of Casa Roma! Jeff and Scott immediately made ourselves feel like home! The hotel is super clean, newly painted large rooms with very comfortable beds, ceiling fans and airco, hot water (this was not the case of most of the places we stayed at!). Casa Roma is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, 5 min away from the busy center of Cabarete, which was the best for us. Nice and clean swimming pool for the biggest pleasure of my daughter. Jeff and Scott are full of attention to their guests, they warmly welcomed our children, Jeff even bought a pool toy for them. We were not considered as clients, but as good friends! Delicious breakfast, locked parking for our car, security guard outside at night. And all this for wow, so little money!

This is probably the best burgain you can get in the Cabarete area. Casa Roma means very neat, spacious and beatifully decorated rooms & adorable and very helpful staff who would make you feel like home. I have a wonderful time over there and if i decide to return to Domenican, I will definitvely return to Casa Roma.
If you want to get to Cabarete, you need transportation (lucky there is one is available 2 min walk from the hotel). Jeff and Scott can also arrange you a car/ taxi whenever needed.
I'm ranking the place 4/5, because of the distance to downtown Cabarete, if not, the hotel itself and the service provided fully deserve 5 points.

If you are traveling to Cabarete, and looking for an inexpensive place just 5 mins away, you cant beat this! Service was great, within minutes of booking, had an email from the owner with details. Staff was friendly and helpful. Note - you DO need a car or transportation available as this is about 5 mins away from the center of the city. But an easy commute with 200-300 peso cab ride price.
