the staff were not aware that it was our honeymoon and we had been given a room at the front of the hotel on the busy main street. We were worried about the noise from traffic but also we were above the restaurant. The room was also very basic with not much space to put to put anything. We did ask if there was anything else but the hotel was fully booked.
The hotel itself is quite charming when you go through to the garden at the back. There is a warm, clean pool with a jacuzzi at its head. There are sun beds and a grassy area where you can relax.
We were sent an email asking how we felt about the hotel and we voiced our disappointment etc; our comments were taken seriously and on day two when there were rooms being vacated we were offered another room at the back of the hotel. The manager was apologetic, he had not been aware that we were on honeymoon.
Our new room was bigger, lighter, more modern with draw space and overall felt more comfortable. We were very pleased.
The hotel restaurant was very good. Breakfast was pretty standard and as you would expect in costa Rica.
We did not experience lunch but the evening meals were very good and well priced. The freshly made pizzas were yummy and I can highly recommend the Shrimp in Penne pasta with avocado. The best meal of the holiday!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Samara, thank you.

The Ritz Carlton it is not but neither is the price. The standard of attention from the staff and the effort everyone goes to to make your stay as comfortable as possible makes this hotel an excellent choice at any price. At $70 per night over the Easter weekend, compared to everything else we looked at, it was a bargain. For an extra $7 they’ll do a good basic breakfast or there is an excellent coffee shop across the road where you can pay more. We had a pool view room which was excellent - very quiet but centrally located 5 mins walk from the beach. Not sure I’d want to be facing the road but most nights it seemed pretty quiet. Good AC in the room with a working small fridge, clean towels and a clean room. Very friendly staff.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. After more than 2 weeks roadtrip and various hotel and airbnb thruogh out Costa Rica, we wete a bit causious concerning cleanliness. We got the room key and after 5 seconds in the room we re-booked for additional 4 days. The hotel and rooms are very clean and staff are cleaning every day incl fresh towels. Nice and stylish interior and just 4 min walk onto the beach. We recommend to try this hotel as it is really worth it and makes your holiday even nicer

Hotel is quiet yet centrally located in the village of Samara and is walking distance to all Samara has to offer. The pool located at the back of the hotel is a nice size, quiet and the loungers make it a nice spot for sun tanning or reading in the shade if you prefer. The room was clean and comfortable. Daily maid service was good. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. They booked airport transportation and tours for us. Breakfast was included and served at Mama Gui restaurant which shares the lobby with the hotel. The breakfast menu had 5 or 6 choices varying from traditional Costa Rican dish to continental, and of course….lots of fresh Costa Rican coffee!

Lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, all of whom provide a warm welcome and invaluable advice on where to go and what to do. Staff went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable!

The rooms are large and clean, with comfortable king beds and good pillows. Plus there is a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold and snacks fresh.

The pool area was very comfortable, and the pool is uber clean, great for a dip or just lounging around all day.

A fabulous bonus is that the best restaurant in Samara is located in the hotel: Mama Gui! This is absolutely a not to miss restaurant with an inventive menu, amazing cooks and serving staff, and expertly run by Chef/owner Gigio.

It's just a short (4 min) walk down to the beach. Plus, within 2-4 minutes walking you have a supermarket, ATM, 2 pharmacies, 3 coffee places and a really delightful bakery.

Great stay at Hotel Giada. Beautiful, well maintained landscaping & pool, great breakfast and a stone's throw from Samara Beach, cafes/bars/restaurants and the excellent tour company Samara Adventures is directly across the street. We were initially allocated a ground floor room and had a couple of large bugs in the room overnight (this was common throughout our stay at other hotels in Costa Rica due to the climate). We asked if it was possible to move to a room on the upper floor which was immediately accommodated without question. Great value and would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed here for a couple of days on our tour of Costa Rica. It is very clean, has great pools one with a jacuzzi, super helpful friendly staff, great quiet air con, big rooms, really close to the beach, shops and restaurants, the big plus for us was the new Mamagui restaurant that is part of the complex where you have breakfast. Best freshly cooked breakfast so far and very accommodating to my allergies, letting me mix and match the breakfast menu. The Italian guys running the restaurant are doing a great job with their delightful young team. We also had cocktails and dinner there with live music, highly recommended hotel and restaurant.

Nice rooms for a good price. Right on main street in Samara close to all restaurants and tourist shops. Super close walk to the beach. Everything was very clean. Staff were very attentive to keeping the pools clean, walkways, etc. Simple rooms with comfortable bed, air conditioning, hot water and a balcony. It is a great option for a good price.

This is a really good option in downtown Samara. The rooms are really good, with fan and AC, and there's a great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. I had included breakfast and it was pretty good. Enough options to not have to eat the same thing every day. The hotel is located at the edge of downtown, so it can get a bit noisy at night. Also, the parking lot across the street is a bit small, so there's a row of cars that can be blocked by other parked cars. You can leave your keys in the lobby so you don't have to move the car yourself, though.

I just loved this place, we had a room by the bigger pool out the back, which was lovely and quiet, the rooms are nicely furnished, with a decent quiet fan and air on. Breakfast is a choice of different types, and the girls serving it are very sweet and kind. The whole hotel is set in a small but beautiful garden, with most of the rooms around the main pool. Really close to the beach as well.
Highly recommend.
