Visited Sarana with a group of friends for Black Moon Party and couldn't believe our luck when entering the place after a string of bas luck with booking places to stay. The whole reception process was smooth, the bungalows are super clean with air conditioning, the place is right on the beach and the whole vibe of the place was just unreal. Big shout out to the bar/restaurant staff for remembering all of our names (and choice of tipple) and for being so fun throughout. Planning on returning next year and this will be the first and only place we stay when we're here!

Sarana was definitely the highlight of my Thailand trip. The atmosphere was just unbelievably hospitable and welcoming. It’s right at the beach so you can swim both in the pool and in the sea. The rooms are great, nice simple wooden bungalows, dorms or if you need more space there are options for a little fancier poolside or sea view bungalows. Sarana is very well maintained as in everything is kept clean and the pool is taken care of. You’ll also have access to free purified water to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles which is fantastic! The staff is super helpful and friendly especially Jasmin who gave us some really good recommendations on what to do and where to go on this beautiful island. Wonderful ten out of ten stay in Koh Phangan absolutely no complaints.

I was meant to stay at Sarana for a week and I was still there 5 weeks later!!
Sarana is located in an ideal spot in Koh Phangan with easy access to some great restaurants, bars and cafes. The rooms are clean and very spacious and are fantastic value for money. I was given a free upgrade when I first arrived and had a beautiful view of the pool and beach from my bungalow. The staff at Sarana are what make the place. Kellie and Jess on reception will make you feel at home straight away and will sort out any problems for you. All of the staff at Sarana are amazing and work incredibly hard to ensure that you have a fantastic stay. The bar staff are great and provide drinks for you by the pool so that you don't even have to go to the bar.
I came to stay at Sarana as travel restrictions first started being lifted in Thailand due to Covid 19. At the moment the borders in Thailand are still closed so only people living in Thailand are able to travel. Due to this many tourist spots in Thailand that are usually busy are suddenly very quiet. However, this was not the case at Sarana and as a solo traveller this was a very welcome surprise. I arrived at Sarana on July 4th and the staff put on a fantastic BBQ and quiz to celebrate America Independence Day. The staff organise a lot of activities which are often free for you join in with if you choose. During my time at Sarana we played rock and roll bingo, had dive in movie nights by the pool, celebrated Christmas in July, did beach cleans, played volleyball and much much more. There really is something for everyone here.
During my time at Sarana I had a lot of friends from work come and stay too. All if them loved it with some of the returning for another stay. If you are staying here I would recommend hiring a bike or car to get out and explore some of the beaches and other spots in Koh Phangan during the day. Secret beach was a particular highlight for me due to the excellent snorkelling and fun bar.
I can't recommend Sarana bungalows more to people who want a fun but relaxing holiday. I am already looking forward to my return trip!

Sarana Bungalows is hands down the best place to stay on Koh Phagnan. The staff are lovely & couldn't be more helpful! The food is amazing & good value. The location is incredible, right on the beach. Rooms are nice & kept very clean as well :) Other facilities such as the gym & pool are a nice bonus too!
We must also give huge thanks to the Sarana team for how they dealt with the challenges that COVID-19 presented. They carried out daily health checks, marked out tape for social distancing, & even organised quiz nights over FaceTime for everyone to play from their own bungalows! They even gave us crucially helpful advice with Visa applications too! I cannot recommend this place enough <3 Sarana is the place to stay :)

Sarana bungalows is a home away from home. This is the second time I’ve stayed at Sarana and it definitely won’t be the last. Kellie the manager and her amazing team of staff go above and beyond to make sure you’ve got everything taken care of. Having a beach front massage is lush, I tried the aloe Vera after spending a bit too much time tanning in the pool. It’s so great having access to a yoga shala and a well equipped gym onsite to combat all the delicious cocktails from the bar. My fave is the strawberry daiquiri! While the food at the restaurant is delish and very veggie friendly, the 711 is just a few minutes walk up the drive and good for any late night munchies. Thanks Sarana for another wonderful stay xxx

I have had the pleasure of staying at Sarana bungalows a couple of times now, the hotel itself is in the perfect position, halfway between 2 towns that are very easy to get to. The Staff are outstanding and always serve with a smile on their face. I found that the rooms are perfect and whether you're on a beautiful beachside bungalow or in a quaint room by the yoga garden you always feel like you are in paradise.

I had a great stay at Sarana's bungalows - stayed for about 5 nights and could have stayed longer. The staff are very accommodating and provide great service..including bar, restaurant, and front desk staff. The food is excellent. Very 'chilled out' and 'relaxed' vibe. Really, I can't think of any complaints. The location was great too and nice to have some private beach space. I would like to specifically thank Christian (front desk). At first I thought he was just a very friendly guest staying there and then soon realized he actually works there! He frequently would reach out to see how I was doing, and gave many suggestions of fun things to do in the area. As a solo traveller, this was really helpful. I was so happy he told me about the muay thai tournament going on one of the nights..one of the highlights of my trip! Would return in the future.

Really lovely bungalows, the pool is right on the beach. Food and drinks are great value and all the staff are so lovely. They organised bike hire, massage on the beach and recommended beaches, restaurants etc to visit. Would totally recommend.

Sarana bungalows was perfect. We arrived early at 10am check in wasn’t till 2. But a lovely woman called jasmine let us have the beach front room which was beautiful! Food was amazing they had loads of veggie options and even avocado toast on the specials which is my fave thing ever. The guy behind the bar miso was very helpful and funny and friendly. A lady called Laura helped us book our transport back to Bangkok with ease she was great and made it all so easy for us. Me and 3 friends wanted to get tattoos, we were going to choose our own place but a lovely guy called Christian said he knew the best place and rang and got us an appointment within minutes. He was also super friendly and helped with anything. So all in all, staff food and facilities were perfect. Plus they had water re fills which is great as I felt so bad buying so many plastic bottles everyday. Thanks Sarana for the perfect stay. I’ll be back next year!

I had an amazing stay at Sarana Bungalows last week. Sarana's based on the beach and the infinity pool looks out across the ocean and sunset, amazing setting. Staff were so friendly and always had a smile on their face. They also make the best food (mix of Western and Thai) and fantastic cocktails, try the margarita! Sarana is great for solo travellers as it's super social and everyone is friendly. It's also popular amongst groups too. Yoga studio and a gym in the Sarana garden are great.
