We came across this hotel because the hotel we originally booked has no vacant rooms for early check-in. The hotel is located behind the Baguio Crown Legacy. I guess we were lucky because when we inquired about the room rates, a lady who seems to be the owner was there so she was able to give us a discount apart from their promo. As far as I know, their promo was P1800 for a standard room and P2200 for the deluxe room. However, she gave it to us P1800 + P500 early check in for the standard room or P2000 + no early check-in charge for the deluxe room so we chose the latter. We saw no other guests during our stay so I assume that's the reason why we were given a good deal.

Pros:
- The hotel is a couple of mins walk from the main road so it is generally quiet except for seldom instances when a vehicle would park in front of the hotel (our room was in the 2nd flr above the parking lot)
- The facade of the hotel predominantly consists of glass so the overall vibe of the hotel is bright and refreshing with an abundance of pine trees wherever you look.
-They have tables and chairs in the veranda where you can enjoy your coffee/beer overlooking the city
- You can ask the hotel staff to walk to the main road and hail a cab for you
- The bed was of good quality. White sheets, white duvet, and soft pillows.
- The bathroom is just the right size.
- They provide one small sachet of shampoo even if there is two of us in the room, a small bar of soap, and a sachet of toothpaste. Two towels are provided. However, the lack of other toiletries did not bother me that much because I always prefer to bring my own toiletries.
- The deluxe room has ample space to walk around the room
- Hangers are provided for your clothes
- The room has big windows to let the Baguio breeze in. However, I think they should still provide electricfans in the rooms just in case the weather is not cold enough for the guests.

Cons
- The road going to the hotel is steep so it could get tiring to walk to and from the main road. Driving could also be a challenge bec of the slope in the parking lot.
- Aside from the steep road, you would have to go through about 7 steps of stairs to get to the main lobby. If you are travelling with an elderly person who has difficulty walking, I do not recommend this hotel. I also didn't see a ramp for people on wheelchairs.
- The hotel has no elevator so yes, more stairs. Try to get rooms in the 2nd flr to lessen the burden and the ones facing the city/SM Baguio for a great view.
- It may take time for heater to work and I had a difficult time adjusting the temp of the water. It's best to ask for a pail and a dipper as the water pressure is not that good.
- No bathroom rug, you still have to ask for one.
- No hairdryer. I am not sure if you could request for one.
- I have read that the hotel is fairly new but it shows poor maintenance and cleanliness. The sofa on the 2nd flr common area looks old and dirty. It also shows on the ceilings and other nooks and crannies.
- The staff could use more training because they seem to be a bit clueless. One of them even seemed to have forgotten about the waived P500 early check-in charge when earlier we were in front of him when the owner/manager gave us the discount. They appear to be very timid and not as cheerful as what you would normally expect in hotels or inns.
- There is rarely someone manning the front desk and you still have to ring the bell for them to come out. This is a security concern for me because the hotel has no guard manning the door and no one in the front desk. This makes it easy for someone to just sneak into the hotel and make his/her way to the rooms. I did not notice if the hotel has a CCTV.
- No phone inside the rooms so you would have to go down to the lobby and ring the bell if you have any requests.
- They offer a set meal for complimentary breakfast with choices of bangus, longganisa, or tocino. My concern here is that they offer the same choices the next day. I hope they could offer two sets of menu and offer it every other day esp to guests who stay for more than one night.

This hotel is great.

It doesn't really feel like a typical hotel though. It feels more like a newly built, well designed home. The room we stayed in was huge, the bed was huge, the bathroom was huge. Everything was very clean. The only thing I think would need slight improvement is the choices on the menu. Even then, the food we did have was good and incredibly cheap!

The staff felt more like our friends almost immediately, and showed us to the 2nd floor lounge and dining area. There is a veranda with the grand view of Baguio city centre where you can have coffee, breathe in the fresh air and listen to the birds singing in the trees nearby.

The hotel is in a very handy situation, away from the main road so it's less noisy, but actually within walking distance of Burnham Park. A taxi to SM would cost us 51php, but the driver would usually round it down to 50php (this act alone left me dumbfounded as i'm almost always ripped off by taxis in other cities). Camp John Hay is also not too far away by taxi.

Overall, we loved the hotel, we loved the staff (officially friends on facebook :D), we loved the city of Baguio and it's people. I would highly recommend staying here.

We were planning on staying at a different hotel which looks really good in the photos but we settled with Jack's hotel since the price is more affordable (Php 2000/night with free breakfast) and I'm really glad we made that choice! Once we arrived in baguio, we checked the hotel that we were supposed to book and we were very disappointed since it didn't look as good as the photos. We then rented a cab to take us to Jack's Grandview Hotel. We had a little problem with the directions since the driver never heard of the hotel before but its a good thing I have a screenshot of the route in my phone. The road to the hotel is quite steep so I don't recommend walking if you're travelling with elderly people. When we arrived, I was really pleased with the atmosphere, it was quiet and welcoming. The owner and the attendant was really approachable and the owner offered us free early check in! :D (it usually costs Php 200+ for early check in)

The room we booked was with 2 beds, each bed can be accommodated by 2 adults, and I must say, it is super comfy! The room was clean, hot and cold shower is working fine. No AC coz you don't really need it anyway. The hotel also provided toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and clean towels.

the hotel also has a restaurant on the ground floor and food was very affordable although they only take orders until 6pm.

I can say that our overall stay was fantastic and we will book again if we plan on a vacation to baguio.

Contacted the hotel for our trip to Baguio and I chose the hotel as I thought it was near Burnham Park as the hotel boasts on their website that their their hotel has a commanding view of the park and is also a few walks from them. When we get to Baguio we arrived 4 hours early. I texted the hotel and said that we arrived and asked if the hotel room is available - personnel replied yes. I then asked if we can go early check-in as we arrived too early for their check-in schedule as we have children in tow - the personnel answered that they do not allow early check-ins unless we pay the full room rate, though we can proceed to the hotel and wait in the lobby until check-in time. We tried to go to the hotel but we realized it was too far from the bus station where we dropped off (near SM) when we asked for directions. With heavy bags and children and hungry at the same time, me and my family decided not to go and find another hotel. After eating breakfast, we found a hotel that let us check-in early without any additional fee.

Haven't visited Baguio for years. Scrambled to get reservations a week before the trip. Hotels we're fully booked and the rates were Baguio-high because of the Holy Week. I stumbled upon this hotel here on TA, called them and booked 2 rooms. Rates are very reasonable. The hotel is quite new. The rooms were very clean. Beds are the best! The hotel is located in a quiet hill just a bit off the city center, where you can hardly hear any noise from the busy streets. Nice views of the city amid pine trees.

Our stay was far from perfect though. On our first night, a water delivery truck was pumping water to the hotel at 10 pm. The noise was terribly annoying. Good thing it happened only that one night. Water pressure in the shower is a bit lacking. Driving and parking sideways up on that steep hill is also a challenge.

What made up for the shortcomings was the very friendly and accommodating staff! They always welcomed you with a smile. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Jack's Grand View!

We had the great opportunity to stay at this hotel right when they opened. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The beds are so comfortable. We slept like a baby. It is located in the heart of the City but far away from all the traffic and noise. It's a walking distance to Burnham Park, Session Rd and Legarda Rd.

We often visit Baguio to enjoy the cool weather and we usually stay at hotels that are near where tourists usually visit. This time we found Jack's thru the Internet and all reviews are postive and excellent. Hard to believe but after staying 3 nights in this hotel, I would say that I/we really enjoyed our stay, staff is great, food is affordable, room/bed is excellent,,,

Im excited to go back as my daughters are now asking when can we go back. Hopefully the hotel owner will maintain the room rates. No price increase pls,,, =)

Check-in was a breeze..friendly and helpful staff were always around. Hotel is relatively new , the rooms were cozy enough for 4 people( 2 queen-sized beds) with comfortable beds and soft pillows(reminds me of the bed and pillows at the Manor Camp JohnHay). Our room was facing a quiet road in a residential area, but there were no annoying sounds of barking dogs and roosters (a plus factor). Amenites were basic, clean towels, shampoo, soap and tissue were provided but hot and cold water were available in the shower and sink. No aircon, but the rooms have huge screened windows which you can adjust( we had to close all of it since it rained heavily the night we were there and it got so cold), and drapes to filter out the sun. All huge rooms had flat-screen tvs but the king-sized and 2 bedroom suites had bigger sized ones(we asked to be shown their other rooms which the staff willingly obliged to). Breakfast was free with native coffee and ...we got to dine(breakfast and dinner) in the verandah, with a grand view of some of Baguio's skyscrapers( nice setting, even on a rainy night). This hotel is at the back of another new hotel but on a more elevated terrain so the view is still unobstructed, very good for photo ops. It's a cozy 10-room hotel but rates are affordable and worth the price you will pay for, a fantastic find, it's highly recommended.

I discovered Jacks Grand View Hotel when we experienced billeting problems with a bed and breakfast we were supposed to stay in. Jacks graciously accommodated us and even gave us early check-in privileges. The hotel staff were kind, efficient, and very friendly. Only comment was that our room's toilet smelled funky but the hotel staff promptly cleaned it when we reported the matter to them.

The 2nd floor verandah offers a view of SM Baguio. We had a few drinks on the verandah while appreciating the night lights of Baguio City, especially that of SM Baguio.

Complimentary breakfast is served from 6:00-9:00am. Unfortunately, the hotel's restaurant closes at 630pm which meant dinner at the hotel is inconveniently early. We ate lunch in the hotel on our last day of stay and the food was ok: generous serving sizes and affordable prices.

Over-all, I would come back and stay in this hotel.

Ever since i started travelling a couple of years back, I've always checked out tripadvisor for good places to stay. So when i came upon this hotel while searching (stayed at le monet and chalet baguio bef), i was excited since the reviews were good...but my stay was TERRIBLE.
This hotel has the WORST neighbors ever! Aftet driving nonstop from manila i wanted to nap for a bit (they graciously allowed us to check in early) but there was constant noise from the water truck in front of the hotel. It was daytime so it was fine. But come night time it got even worse! The truck was replaced by a bus making a lot of noise, there were a bunch of dogs barking, and people from a party downstairs having loud conversations! Everything echoed! After some noise died down a car alarm started going offf! To make a long story short, my daughter and i wasnt able to sleep at all!
As for the family suite, its big with a gorgeous terrace and good beds. But it ends there. The room was very spartan with different colored light bulbs(which was annoying), theres no fan so it was so stuffy during the day, a lot of hairs on the floors and not very cozy. The bathroom dsnt even have soap just 2 sachets of toothpaste and shampoo. Soap is very basic so go figure. The food at the restaurant wasnt good but cheap. The walk to and from the hotel is also very steep.
I will never go back to this hotel. Its neighborhood is just too noisy. I come to baguio to relax and recharge but was very disappointed.
