Samsara Harmony Beach Resort, an oceanfront paradise, located on the tranquil north shores of Odayam Beach in Varkala. This relaxing enclave is located minutes away from Kappil beach and the renowed 2000 year-old Janardhanaswamy temple, situated at Papanasham beach. Harmoniously integrated in its surrounding, Samsara Harmony Beach Resort boasts beautiful private oceanfront cottages, with pristine white and black sand beaches, a sparkling swimming pool and laushes tropical gardens, at your door step. This resort has 9 rooms including two-double-storied cottages (on the ground floor- with attached kitchen with all the cooking ) facilities and 7 single cottages (without kitchen). Enjoy the comfort of these nine sea-faced cottage rooms all of which have sit outs that brings a flow of natural sunlight and breezy ambiance. Just to remaind you that this resort has a beautiful beach just in front. (From Nov to Feb)

Nice little beachside hotel, with a quick walk down to the beautiful beach. We saw many a dazzling sunset and walking along the beach for about half an hour takes you to the cliff top where all the buzz is. Pradeep and his team do a good job within the limited facilities that a three star hotel can provide. The cook Aslam is especially good at making guests feel welcome at breakfast. Some downsides are the rooms and bathrooms can feel a little bit dated and in need of care, some guests are loud in the night without consideration for others. The staff cannot be faulted however for their hospitality.

Stayed here as a family of 4 from Dec 27th - Jan 2nd this year. The location is beautiful - right on a quiet beach with good swimming in the sea. There are several very good and very reasonable restaurants along the beach towards the cliff, which if you want to venture further is a 150 rupee tuk tuk ride. Here is equally good for eating and drinking ( yes - Kingfisher beer and local wine readily available everywhere at good prices) There is a small but adequate pool for the 9 rooms, but there is very limited space around the pool to actually sit, and only 6 plastic chairs to sit on so a dozen or so new sun loungers would be good as its first come first served and in our case there were 3 German families who were up at the crack of dawn to commandeer them ! The only other let down is the restaurant, which is poorly run with not much available choice of food.

Excellent place to spend pleasure time in kerala. We were a group of 4 families visited this place during Diwali Hospitality: there were 4 men who took very personal care of us like being part of our group. We felt so comfortable and home during the stay Place: has a very nice pool which is clean and safe. Location: a lot of place to walk around peacefully with amazing views to sea. Has access to sand beach in around 3 mins which feels private. Close to cliff and few other locations Food: breakfast was with our choice and had authentic kerala taste. They made lunch and dinner on special request ( kitchen was in renovation) and it was like I would have nowhere got such a meal with fish and chicken and poetical in banana leaf Cleanliness: very neat and big rooms. Very comfortable for 3 persons each room. Special mention: I left my watch by mistake and Hirshad bhai brought it to me riding bike for 30 kms while on the way. Thanks Hirshad bhai. Will visit again next immediate possible date. Overall an amazing and unforgettable experience. Most pictures are with faces so not posting… images at website matches the location

Samsara Harmony is located in probably the best area in Varkala. The Odayam beach does not have much crowd, has a stretch of decent restaurants and the walking path leading to Varkala Beach.
The Hotel is good looking but the staff lack general courtesy. The AC of our room was not working properly, when we talked to the manager about it, he somewhat shouted that people stayed in the same room and had no issues.
He constantly reminded us that we should have booked higher catagory rooms where none of these issues would come. He kept smoking most of the time, so it was even difficult to talk to him.
The pool is okayish, not clean all the time.
Biggest problem is that they do not serve lunch and dinner. But there are places nearby which are good.

We spent couple nights at Samsara Harmony resort on a workation as an attempt escape from the boredom of Working From Home days. It was absolutely a relief to hold the laptop while being be so close to the sea and drinking hot beverages fresh from kitchen. Our host at the time, Mr. Irshad was so courteous and kindly guided us on our evenings and was there for every second we needed him. Thanks a ton samsara and we will be back soon.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and we really enjoyed it. The room was big and lovely - we loved sleeping to the sound of waves. Relaxing near the pool was great. The place was so peaceful. High value for the money.

We really liked the humble helpful managers, the property and the comfort. The view is really amazing and for some reason they haven’t added those photos. You’ll see a beautiful sunset right from the resort. Breakfast will be a mixed of continental and South Indian served to you at with beach view. Black beach, cliff, varkala beach is walkable and also can be reached by auto. Me and my husband walked till black beach daily for our surfing lessons. Rooms are big and pool is clean. Exactly how it is in photos. Will 100% recommend it. Look at the view

If your priority is being on a nice clean beach at a very good location then this is a place to be . Udyan beach is a very clean and nice beach for going in to the sea . Served nice fresh breakfast. Good sea food restaurant nearby and the Verkala cliff is a nice 25 minutes beach walk . Staff was very helpful in providing local details like massage centre, taxi , nearby eating places . Irshad is a very friendly person .

Very good accomodation. All staffs are friendly and their hospitality is very good. The surroundings ar e neat and ambience is good. We have direct access to the beach and it gives good pleasure to all who enjoy sea.

The samsara, was beautifully kept, and very peaceful. The manager and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were delightful, and each had its own little balcony. It was at the end of the beach and had its own access direct to the beach. The only weak point was the independent restaurant, but there were plenty of other places to eat. I would really recommend this resort

I would love an answer to this too, as we have booked both deluxe cottage and superior suite but not sure what we need for a family of 3 (2 adults, one child...)
It is accessible from the hotel as you tip toe around those rocks and then it's beautiful sand or you can go around those rocks go 50 yards on pathway and it's all sandy beach
There are more places to choose from in the Varkala Town area.
