Having been to Egypt before (different hotel) we weren’t sure if we would ever return, we booked with a group of friends and our parents but due to family reasons our friends had to cancel, we are so glad we didn’t. It’s been the best family holiday we’ve had so far, with our two children aged 5 and 1. Beautiful hotel, plenty to do, 2 warm pools and my daughters loved the pirate ship. Although we did spend most of the time down the beach.
Restaurants have lots of variety. The sky bar was nice too. The staff went above and beyond the whole holiday.
Rooms - we did ask for a different room on arrival as we were overlooking the road, we were moved to pool view with no problems, the rooms were cleaned everyday and the mini bar stocked with water, Fanta, coke and sprite. Unfortunately the rooms don’t have baths which was slightly awkward with a baby that hates having a shower. It was my daughter’s 5th birthday whilst we were here and the housekeeping staff put a birthday cake and candle in the room for her for when we arrived back after our meal in the evening.
Beach - the beach is just 5 minutes walk past the golf course through beautiful gardens. If you don’t want to walk you can hop on a golf buggy at no extra cost. The beach staff are so helpful, they bring your towels to your sun beds and don’t hang around for a tip like in previous hotels. They also take your drinks order and bring drinks to you if you ask. The beach snack bar is a set menu which is quite basic but it does the job. Burger & chips, nuggets, pizza etc.
Christmas 2023 - it was celebrated on the 24th December - the hotel was beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree in reception and Downstairs near the restaurant it had a gingerbread house with reindeers etc, the gingerbread house is made of real biscuits. Outside of the hotel is lights etc. it really was magical. On Christmas Day there was a beach party and Santa arrived on a speed boat it was a great day and the kids loved it. In the evening Santa was on the stage and all the children got a small gift. There was a Christmas show with real animals we were all so excited about this being huge animal lovers but left feeling quite sad, the goats were being pulled around by their ears and the donkey was scared due to the noise and froze, it wouldn’t move, it was being dragged about and still wouldn’t move, it then backed itself into a corner where the owner of the donkey and 2 other men dragged it behind the stage, it was disgusting to see. Maybe in the future costumes would be better instead of using real animals and getting aggressive when they don’t do as they’re told. (This wasn’t the hotels fault) NEW YEAR - incredible, we spent the whole day down the beach - playing games, a saxophonist playing, partying and then in the even fireworks, party and lovely buffet meal. NEW YEARS DAY - very chilled we spent the morning down the beach and then headed to the room to depart- we were slightly upset that we had a late check out charge added to our bill, we asked for a late check out room due to having 2 small children, no charge was ever mentioned but you live and learn! Overall a fantastic Christmas holiday that we will remember forever.

This is my fifth visit to hurghada during the last couple of months, simply its the best in hurghada, starting with the reservation team Miss. Sabah which were very professional and delivering the maximum quality of service, then to the reception Mr. Mohamed abdel aaty who offered exceptional treatment to the hotel guests, he made us finish the check in process in just 10 mins, Mr. Abanoub eid at the reception also was very helpfull, the hotel is friendly for kids and adults, there are 2 aqua parks one for adults and the other for kids, there are 2 adults swimming pools and 3 family swimming pools, there is also lazy pool surrounding the whole area which is really nice for relaxation. You have access to the beach by golf car of 600 meters walking which is also nice for relaxation. The rooms are very big, very clean with beautiful view over the aqua park but my advice is to stay away from connected rooms because if you have noisy neighbours it will be hell The hotel is following all the safety rules, sanitizers all over the place, they check your body temperature each time you enter the restaurant, all staff are wearing masks. My overall hotel rating is 9/10 based on the below:

After backpacking Luxor, Cairo, Giza, with our 2 small children we booked into the Steigenberger aqua magic.
On the 1st night we accidentally got a visit from facility management. The reception manager resolved this accident very satisfactorily for us. In addition, this oversight led to the opportunity to get to know the management board with its particular environmental policy priorities. (Water treatment plant, beach cleaning with hotel guests, organic certified tea on offer) Also to be emphasized is the work of the chef commer, who provides a varied, almost 24-hour meal service for up to 1,500 guests with his entire team. Out of the 3 restaurants visited, the sky restaurant stood out, with surprising taste and artistic arrangements on the plate. Water systems, hotel beach invite younger children to play and bathe for beautiful sun and reading moments for us big ones. Dress code is requested in the restaurant, which we welcomed.(We didn't face the typicall Germans of which one is ashamed of oneself). Recomended are also the Markets in Hurghada (pictures) Thanks to the whole Steigenberger team and we can imagine coming again after a vacation in the wild beautiful culture of Egypt just in order to recover!

Attended for a trip with a family of 5 (all adults) spread over 3 rooms. For the price we paid (<£300pp for a week) we absolutely cannot fault this. Rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel foyer was spotless and all staff made an effort to be friendly and engaging.
Food was perfectly acceptable. Always something to eat. The buffet varied a little in quality (a matter of personal taste) but the al a carte, particularly the rooftop bar, were delicious and we appreciated the variety. Certainly no concerns re cleanliness or food preparation.
The grounds of the hotel were pleasant, very green and plenty of space. This hotel is definitely the more family focused of the 3 on the site but it was still easy enough to find some peace and quiet at a pool away from the pirate ship! The water park was a nice additional bonus. The beach was a pleasant 5 minute walk through the golf course away. The only criticism is that the beach area belonging to this hotel is a little cramped compared to that of the neighbours and that we did not manage to use the water sports facilities inc free windsurfing as the staff reported inclement weather (it was nice enough from our point of view).
We hadn’t booked through an agent but we found booking excursions on line from the hotel was easy enough.
For some cheap winter sun would absolutely recommend this.

We where at this hotel last November. It was an unforgettable experience. Our holiday was really perfect. Room (2301) was clean, big enough and with pool view. Restaurant was tidy and with a +18 space, food was plentiful, tasty, and with a different theme every night. Animation was interesting and playful every evening. Personnel are excellent professionals. We will like to thank Mr Aldip the hotel’s limo driver, Mr Tamam the young Gentleman at the lobby, the always smiling Mr Ezzar head waiter at the restaurant, the not so smiling but always ready to help Mr Haday at the beach towel center (actual names may vary) the perfect team of the oriental restaurant and finally all the Ladies and Gentlemen of the staff for their exceptional service. Two minor suggestions only. At the beach has to be an empty corridor so that the quests won’t need to slalom between sun beds and oily bodies in order to access the sea. And the decision that the quests have to get their drinks by themselves at the restaurant was perhaps not a wise one. It’s not easy to carry a full plate and a full glass at the same time. Otherwise we intend to come back at April 2020 with grandchildren this time because we have found out that this hotel is a children’s paradise. Until then, keep up the good work!

Average animation team & shows. Very good kitchen. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. WiFi coverage is including the whole premise but the speed is low. Rooms and housekeeping are amazing😍 If you felt a bit bored from staying in the same place for the whole duration you can still enter ALDAU in the other side (which has the beach) Location of the hotel is great, in the middle of the city so you can take field trips anytime and buy stuff for good prices.

This was my second stay at Aqua Magic Hotel, I was very glad by my stay just as the first time, and I would probably pay many future visits in the future. The food was of great quality, specially the meat served at dinner and the beach restaurant. The reception was being sanitized on a regular basis, the staff was doing great job, working at the peak season under the strict precautions of the new pandemic restrictions. Temperature was measured regularly during the day and at each entrance. The floor was marked by the social distancing signs, although some of the guests were overlooking those precautions, but the management -once been reported -has taken actions. This hotel is for every member of the family and satisfy all the needs of each age bracket, we were a big family with children, teenagers, adults, and old people, each one had a quality time according to his needs. It is a place where everyone at any age would feel happy and satisfied. Thank you for entertaining our vacation and for taking good care of your guests during this hard times. Thanks to Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali for your exceptional service and genteel behaviour, all the family members loved his presence and appreciated his efforts. Thanks to all the front desk receptionists for their super nice attitude especially Mr. Mohamed Salem, Mr. Kareem, & Mr. Gurgugis.

In a very short statement :behind the magic steigenberger there is a strong management which always leads to success, here below my review in points as usual * family holiday of 10 adults and 4 kids *Reservation :Abanoub is a smart hard worker expert, managed our booking.com reservation in a very proffissional way before arrival. *Check in:Kareem a super hero handling many guests in the same time with a smile, he made our check in /check out very smooth and comfortable, appreciate your support Kareem and thanks for the welcome drink 🙂 *rooms :comfortable, with a mini bar, air-conditioning, comfortable beds, balcony, only 1 comment:WHY THE TOILET WITHOUT LOCK! strange nuh?! * Main restaurant :serving breakfast, lunch, dinner with good varieties (not 5 stars selections) but the quality of the ingredients are top honestly, the staff are serving approximately 800 persons per hour(I guess) and never seen a guest complaining or a dirty table.. A huge army serving guests with a smile, would like to thank personally Abraham and Ahmed Hamed as both of them were always trying to help our group and find immediately a suitable table for us and help getting us any needed water or drinks.. Thanks also to the restaurant manager who managed to reach this top quality without being noticeable! Room service:thanks to Sayed who used to make crocodile towels for my daughter, a very decent and proffissional person also Gamal who was filling our minibar daily with a smile Aqua :both Aquas adults and kids were clean and friendly with all types of guests, lifeguards with open eyes and fit, the hotel allows us to use the beach (5 minutes walking) with its all facilities. Animation team :very funny and proffissional with a deferent theme every night. The all inclusive in steigenberger Aqua Magic Hotel is almost matching the same concept in Turkey, Spain, Mexico with something extra which is the staff smile, they are happy from the deep heart to see guests in Hurghada after covid lockdown long time, we are also happy for our choice of this magical hotel after 2 years of no travelling Ah.. The hygiene here compared to my last visit to Amsterdam is 300% more. Positives :The Aqua park was very nice , me & my son had very nice time ,, room ,, view ,, beach Before arrival someone called me from the management and asked me how i like my room to be & when i arrived it was perfectly & just as i asked . The hallmark of the stay was magic sky restaurent it’s really one of my best dinning experiences , they make the best salmon fillet i’ve ever tried & all the menu i ordered that night was just perfect , many thanks to chief Ragab & Ebraam . Also hyegenic measures were a big positive ,, most of the staff are wearing gloves & masks & sanitizers are everywhere in the hotel so we felt safe
Negatives :The Buffet style they made was a real miss !! There was a huge deficiency of chefs on every station ,, & it was just a night mare for me to just go to the buffet from my table to bring just soap or bread ,, this must be fixed as it really ruined my stay. Second thing i didn’t like was the quality of food that despite being clean but not up to the standards of the brand name “Steigenberger “ !! Also it was a big negative surprise for me when tried the oriental restaurent that they make the kabab using imported meat not balady meat !!!!!! & the big question is why doing this ?!! It was just 2 pieces of just 60-80 gms especially its an A la carte restaurent !!!

The rooms are spacious and beautiful and the entire hotel is very well kept and very clean. There is not single cigaret butt on the beach and the commute to the beach is not far and a very pleasant walk through a beautiful garden. What stands out above all is the care and attention the staff give to all guests. They are extremely friendly, very helpful and quick to help. Even for us as women travelling with a child there were no unwanted advances or flirtation towards us and my child was showered with love. I read quite a few negative comments about Russian tourists before coming here but everybody was very pleasant. The food in the sky restaurant and oriental was amazing, the Italian was not very Italian so for anybody who is looking forward to a pizza will be disappointed. The main restaurant has good food and a vast variety for both vegetarians and meat lovers. I would recommend to sit in the outside part as it is quite noisy inside, a bit of a canteen kind of feeling with all the clonking and clattering. The drinks are very very sweet. That’s the only downside for me. The juices are concentrated with added sugars and all cocktails are extremely sweet. But I have heard from others that it is the same very where. One more thing I would like to mention: there are people all over the beach and at the pools that are trying to sell day trips and wellness packages. That gets a bit much at some point. However the massages I can highly recommend! And the horse riding trip to the desert and beach was one of the best experiences of our lives. For snorkelling I cannot recommend Ilios dive club. It was very short, only one stop to snorkel and a very expensive foto package will be pushed on you. That felt a bit like a rip off. Overall I would definitely recommend the hotel. We had a fantastic time and are sad to leave.

If a dinner reservation is made, shorts are not appropriate.
During the day, in the Sky bar facing the Steigenberger Aldau allows shorts or during the evening you can have a drink because dinner is not served in that part, and you can stay in shorts. This is part of sky bar.
