My fiance and I booked at Welcome Hotel for a short getaway to Dubai.
The area was relatively well known by taxi drivers so there were no hassles in explaining where we needed to go to. However, it is a bit of a distance from Jumeirah and the Marina, taxi fares can get a bit steep depending on where you're coming to or going from - car rental might be a good idea.
The room was clean and not too small, considering the price.
My only issue with the stay was that when I made the reservation I made a point in noting that we would be arriving quite late at night - and that payment would be handled personally - and yet when we had checked in they had already charged the card that I had reserved with.
The person at reception was not very guest orientated, and basically did not care that the customer standing in front of him was unhappy - definitely a poor beginning to an otherwise memorable getaway,

This hotel is brand new and very neat. We stayed in an executive one bed room apartment, the room is very spacious and large living room with enough space for my kids to play, additional bathroom is a plus to us. A big grocery shop Grand mart is behind the building and they offer free delivery to your room ( but you can give the delivery person tip if you want). Al kabayl discount center and brands for Less are located opposite this hotel. Reef mall and Al Ghurair centre are walking distance or 5 minutes drive. City centre and Gold souq are just about 10- 15 minutes drive depending on the traffic. I recommend this hotel.

Though it's a 4* property, it needs improvement on the terms of use (like they allocated the reception area space to host a dinner get-together with families & kids, consequently lots of noise and running & playing around of kids). I stayed in this apartments recently, when I checked in the staff at the desk were not interested at all, one men actually looked up and then back at the desk, and even when to the door at the back of reception and left.
The apartments is quite large but was not clean and SMELLS bad, there was something sticky in the fridge and we noticed in the morning there are black stains on the mattress (it was mainly in the corner). The bathroom floor was dirty around the toilet, which I really didn't like. My blanket request also stayed without attention.
We also tried the breakfast; it has only very limited selection of foods (2 or 3 only!!!). The food was very bad, cold, overcooked and there was food everywhere, on the counters and even on the floor. Additional to above there was no service at all!!! They didn't even clear the table.
I went to the desk and there was a supervisor or manager (a big gentleman, I think Indian again) it was very difficult to understand him when he talked. He started to check us out and then got another person to carry on, he didn't explain and just walked away. I thought this was very rude, he could have said that someone else would check us out. He just went off and was chatting to someone else behind the reception, I was very angry! PLEASE AVOID THIS APARTMENTS AT ALL !!

we started off our unpleasant experience by being stood up in the airport for 2 whole hours for the airport transfer that never showed up. we had to pay 35 Dhms to get to the hotel and no one took responsibility for something that we had already included in the tour. the check in was supposed to be at 2pm but we finally got the room at 3:30 without receiving a proper apology. the swimming pool was "under maintenance" and we couldn't use it in the 4 days of our stay! and the breakfast!!! they did not offer a buffet breakfast! not even a menu!! because there were not enough guests in the hotel so they could not afford to have a buffet. so we had to go there sit n ask for eggs n then wait for 25 minutes till it was delivered by a non-english-speaking waiter!!

We a group of 14 people stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and booked 6 rooms . They give you excellent service . Staff is very cooperative and helped us in all ways. Hotel has all the facilities i.e swimming pool, gym, .Rooms consist of kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living rooms with all the facilities . . you will feel like home there . . parking space is good, wi fi excellent . . rooms well maintained . . price is also very reasonable ...big general store, pharmacy, metro station, airport very nearby .

Excellent stay in Welcome hotel apartment, friendly staff, cleaning is good, great location so many shopping center walk able distance.

I stayed here with my family and relatives for almost a week during our visit to the amazing city dubai.
Apartments were very large and had everything you need in a house from washing machine to induction. Location of this hotel is right in front of 3 very large multistores which are open 24x7 and we used to shop from there at midnight without any problem.
Food here is not that good which is not only a problem in this hotel but the entire city has very less places with good food which is a turn off!
Staff is veeeeerry friendly and helpful which made our stay here very easy and comfortable.
Conclusion: Book this hotel without any doubt as you will not regret the decision while keeping in mind to bring your own food by yourself!

Stayed for 2 weeks, excellent location, great hospitality by GM Mr Babar and his colleagues. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable apartment type stay, lot of food options nearby, very close to metro station and shopping areas.
