Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm, Dubai is often celebrated for its luxurious atmosphere, complete with sophisticated touches like live music that create a relaxing ambiance. Guests have called out the spacious and opulent rooms with breathtaking views, though some have noted issues with noise. While the service receives accolades for attentiveness and professionalism, some travelers feel the additional charges, including those for certain restaurants and club access, detract from the hotel's value. The location, with its stunning beachfront views, is generally appreciated, despite its remoteness from some attractions. Cleanliness and amenities also earn rave reviews from visitors.

We arrived early on a Thursday morning around 10am, The Taj was booked via their website in an Uber ride on our way to it. When we arrived 15 minutes later they had our reservation and our room was ready.
The room was spacious for the first priced option, good air conditioning, digital light system, molten brown toiletries, bath robes and slipper, usb points by the bed and uk 3 pin sockets in the room, walk in closet with safe and ironing facilities. Tea, coffee and a payable mini bar. Balcony, a seating area within the room
Buffet style breakfast and evening meal in the main restaurant and a la carte style at lunchtime with a large menu and ample portion sizes.
A favourite was the roaring rabbit restaurant,English cuisine, all a la carte menu choices large 5 star delivered potions, 3 course for both lunch & evening meal. Varq Indian restaurant, I’m not a spicy food fan,the chef prepared me something more suited to my palate. The waiter took the time to explain the menu which was greatly appreciated.
Large pool with a separate covered children's pool and play area to one side. There are plenty of sun beds and a fresh towel placed on each. Cold bottled water was delivered to our sun bed along with an ice bucket which was topped up frequently, I also noticed that they had P20 sunscreen available for your use.
Access to a private beach.
An impressive lobby and afternoon tea lounge with delicious looking cakes on offer for a charge.
All in all a well deserved 5 star rated hotel.

Right after arriving at this beautiful location on the outer crescent of Palm Jumeirah, we were greeted by very friendly people who helped us with our luggage and stroller. The lobby of the hotel is impressive, and our first impression of the hotel staff was great. We were immediately welcomed by Kanaav with a smile on his face, and he checked us in very swiftly and without any issues. He would check up on us multiple times during our stay, whenever we’d pass by, and ask us about our experience, which was very kind. He was also friendly and interactive with our 6 month old son, which was much appreciated!
Generally, all staff in the hotel are very kids- and family-friendly. They either simply interacted with our son, or some would even hold him (obviously with our permission), and everyone was very respectful and smiling when we passed them. It’s not just a great place to stay, but also looks like a great place to work!

Also right on our first day we had a late lunch in "The Palm Kitchen", which wasn’t very busy at that time (around 3PM), and we got to meet Chef Sonu, who was really kind to us and we had a great conversation with him. I later found out that he is actually the Executive Chef, so it was very pleasant that he took time out of his day to interact with us briefly.

The entire interior of the hotel is luxurious, and the rooms give a very comforting and relaxing feeling. While we were out at the pool in the afternoon, we received a stock up on towels, as well as some prep for the night (like a freshly made bed, etc.), which was a nice surprise when we came back to our room.

The pool area is very clean, there is a lot of space in the shade and the staff there really caters to your every need. I think the pool is the longest (or at least one of the longest) pools on the palm.
We didn’t have enough time to properly use and enjoy the beach, but it looked good and I think there are even sports- and water activities, which we will definitely check out once our son is a bit older.

Overall, can greatly recommend staying here when in Dubai. The only real "downside" is that the drive to the end of the outer crescent of The Palm stretches a bit (around 20 minutes extra).
But it’s totally worth it once you arrive and enter this really beautiful place!

In August 2022, we had a weekend staycation at the Taj Exotica, Palm. We left the Taj fully refreshed having enjoyed an excellent F&B experience as well the entire staffs' hospitality.

Each of our interaction with staff was warm, friendly and professional with everyone eager to assist.

Our dinner at Varq was quite the event. The cocktails were made to an excellent quality and the food was exceptional. I have to commend the breakfast staff - with high occupancy, they managed the large volume of breakfast guests with professionalism and swiftness.

During the immense summer heat, the pool staff kept cool heads and happily took care of our requests and comfort. The views from Raia were to die for and complemented by the F&B offering. During our stay we were privileged to have access to the Club Lounge and were impressed with the F&B offering and also the warm hospitality given by the lounge staff.

We were also happy with the housekeeping and those we interacted with were extremely hospitable.

At the end we left the resort refreshed, ready for the new week. We cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality that was extended to us and look forward to returning soon.

We stayed for 5 days at the end of March to celebrate my Mother's 75th birthday. The hotel property is in a superb location on Jumeirah Palm, and is brand new immaculately maintained property with a huge swimming pool and private beach. The staff are very attentive and caring about the guests, ensuring that they are having a pleasant stay. There are plenty of things to keep the kids busy, as well as the indoor games room which is managed by very friendly staff.

We really enjoyed eating the scrumptious daily buffet breakfast, dinner at the Indian restaurant and my favourite place in the evenings at the English pub. The food and beverage quality is exceptional. The sea view rooms, have an exceptional view towards the pool, sea and Atlantis. The rooms are spotless and very well serviced daily. Its nice to get little gifts like chocolates and especially they made a cake, and decorated my Mothers bed with rose petals in a happy birthday message. We really enjoyed our evening drinks on our room balcony with a fantastic view of the property.

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday and we will certainly return and recommend this place to our friends and family.

If i had one small piece of feedback, is that the blocking of sunbeds and cabanas by the pool attendants for specific guests should be stopped. Even if we reached very early all the cabanas had towels on with no personal items of the people they were reserved for. They would reach after 1-2 hours and tip the attendants to get the best beds. I did find this practice very unfair although i didn't want to make a fuss or complain as we were on holiday. This should strictly be first come first served with NO bed blocking policy by the attendants for tips.

We arrived at this lovely hotel which I must say has the best service we have ever experienced in Dubai.

Upon arrival we were greeted with drinks in the lobby and a very quick check in after a long flight from the UK.

Our room was lovely and cosy and provided everything we needed. It was also very clean and the bathroom contained Molton Brown products which was a nice touch.

Fresh water is provided in the room each day as well as a fruit bowl.

The trip was for my husbands 50th birthday and once they knew why we had travelled to their hotel we were surprised to come back to our room one night and find rose petals on the bed and a lovely birthday cake waiting. They did not need to do this but it was a lovely surprise.

We booked the club lounge too which was really nice. Between 5pm and 7pm they serve nibbles and any alcoholic beverage you could want. They keep your glass full too. There were a couple of lovely people we want to give mention to. One was Faith, she always had a lovely smile and was always welcoming. The other was Immaculate, she was also lovely to talk to and provided great service.

Now despite this hotel providing the very best service with a smile, there were a couple of things that let them down.

1. I was not well at all as I suddenly came down with the flu. Despite this, we were told of we chose to have our meal in our room we would be charged full price for it. We were on half board and we also included breakfast so all our meals were included. We did not understand why this was a problem and why they wanted to charge us instead of just charging a delivery fee. This was very unfortunate and let this hotel down. We have not known a hotel to do this. This needs to be changed because is not always possible to make it to the restaurant to eat particularly if somebody is not well. Why should they have to pay for their meal if it has already been pre paid?

2. One other thing was we were charged one night what equated to £60 for 3 glasses of wine with dinner. This was in the pub restaurant where the food was not great. The drinks were not even measured, they pour a tiny bit in the glass and so guess the measurements.

Our favourite restaurant was the Indian restaurant. Govind was our waiter and his service was perfect. The food in this restaurant is without a doubt the very best in this hotel. All in all our stay was a good one and once again, if you want a near to perfect service in Dubai, this is the place for you.

This was our first trip to Dubai and we were not disappointed. We were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived to check in we were greeted by Kushani, from Guest Relations, who was so lovely and wished us a Happy anniversary and said she had put gifts and surprises in our room. On entering the room which she personally took us to the bed had a love heart made from towels and fresh rose petals on the bed. There was a beautiful cake saying Happy anniversary, plus other bits. The next morning on the beach we met Suranga who wouldn't let us do anything, he put our towels down, brought us a cool bag that contained ice cool water and gave us ice lollies. Also in our room was a complimentary beach bag and flip flops. Everyday we would go to The Coast beach restaurant for lunch where there was just too much choice. Shubhi and Brian were wonderful, polite and couldn't do enough for us, making sure that everything was ok. After lunch we'd go and have a game of putting which was great fun. Our favourite place to eat at the hotel was The Roaring Rabbit, Nusfa was our waitress and was absolutely lovely, she as well as all the staff we met over the 10 days treated us like royalty, everyone couldn't do enough for us. We cannot wait to return to The Taj Exotica. One more person I mustn't forget is Samriddh the restaurant manager at Palm kitchen, who we saw most days at breakfast on the morning we were leaving he even offered to pack us a bag of food to take to the airport. Thank you so much for making our holiday so special.

Still room for improvement when it came to service and in particular guest relations. We contacted the hotel prior to our arrival with a special request for our two young children, despite mentioning this on several occasions during our stay nothing was done.

Staying as club guests we were particularly disappointed with the lack of drinks variety in the lounge during the cocktail hour. Most of the alcoholic drinks were not at all top shelf and the cocktail list itself was extremely basic and not in line with our expectations of other Taj club lounges experienced. Cocktails were either far too strong or weak, there seemed to be a lack of consistency. It would have been nice to also have a better variety of mocktails other than the two on offer which often tasted diluted. The evening canapés were limited in variety and mostly cold. It would have been nice to have a few warm canapés as in other Taj properties. Basic things such as coasters for drinks, general cleanliness of toilets in the club lounge were lacking. The staff appear to be attentive initially, however they would often forget requests made from the previous day. Again something which is very different from other Taj hotels. We could not justify the benefit of staying club in this particular hotel.

There is a pillow menu which can be requested from house keeping, however despite calling twice to change our pillows it was never done. We requested a beach bag at the beginning of our stay and 3 days in when our room was set to do not disturb as our children were asleep, we had someone knock and a telephone call to deliver the bag.

Breakfast although with quite an extensive variety, oils do with more continental dishes. Would be nice to have more fresh juices e.g green juices available at breakfast. Also would be nice for club guests to have the option of dining in the club lounge for breakfast be it a limited menu.

Food in Raia and Roaring rabbit was by far the best in the hotel. Service in these restaurants were impeccable. Amar in particular in the Roaring rabbit was exceptional. He went above and beyond to accommodate our children’s dietary requirements.

Also a special mention to Mustafa the door man, who always went above and beyond throughout our stay and in our opinion is one of the very few whom we could say delivers a 5 star service.

In general we found management are keen to hear of ways in which the hotel can be improved for guests, unfortunately they did not seem to act upon it efficiently enough for us to feel as though our suggestions or views had been taken into consideration.

Taj Exotica exceeded our expectations for our stay at the resort. For a family of four with young children we felt welcomed and at ease here as any request was dealt with in a precessional, kind and swift manner. Check in and greeting is a game changer and is something how other hotel should take on board. Lovely calm way to check in. Facilities are excellent and catered to all types of customers - we felt the children’s facilities, pool play area, club and crèche were plentiful to keep them busy. Food was second to none, to an excellent standard and tasty. Wide variety, stations made to order, chefs came around to see if the food was good. Hosting staff were lovely to us and the children and knew we needed high chairs and straws and we felt at ease every day. Staff are lovely with the children greeting them and talking to them too.
Rooms are large even the standard and the housekeeping needs a special mention. Any request and cleaning is done to an exceptional standard. A special shout out to Santosh from housekeeping who made sure our room was cleaned to to very high standard and gave us extra water and towels for our children. My son threw my AirPods on our room somewhere and he and other staff made sure they scoured the room to find it and they took this seriously even sending the security team ti ensure it wasn’t taken by anyone. Thank you for the exceptional and warm service. We would definitely come back. Taj sets it’s level of experience and service to another level.

We were booked at Sofitel The Palm initially but decided to change to Taj Exotica a week prior to departure. It was a good shift . We were upgraded to the Club floor which is pure value for money . The lounge serves breakfast , hi tea and happy hours in the evening . The rooms are of good size with huge bathrooms and quality toiletries . Our luxury Suite overlooked the massive pool and the Arabian Sea. The hotel is modern and has a freshness all around.

One of the nights we had dinner at Varq which serves traditional Indian cuisine . With good food and happy to serve staff , this restaurant is a must do . During our two days we experienced the fitness and spa facilities which are top class . Their pool is the biggest on The Palm and one has an option of swimming in the sea which has been neatly cordoned and well maintained by the staff . Wish we had more days with us to spend . But surely we will return soon.
Highly recommend this place because it’s grand and has warm hospitable team at all levels . Special mention to Nuria and Rosie who kept our room spic and span at all times .

We decided to make plans and book a hotel that had a relaxing ambiance as it was my husbands 35th birthday and it fell on the weekend. Everything was last minute which could be a little stressful.
The hospitality was really great from start to finish
There was an intentional effort to greet and talk to the customer immediately as we checked in
The room I booked was pretty spacious and the kids loved it
Hotel is very clean
Staff are accommodating
Breakfast was great in-regards to selection
The kids pool was a little cold however manageable and the kids play area was well managed and clean
Special thanks to Sapna from hospitality as she accommodated all requests and followed up of last minute request for decorating the room with a birthday decoration after we reached the hotel

Is there a water taxi option from the hotel?

Hi, No water taxi available from Taj or any place on the Palm. There are plenty of taxis coming to any of the hotels and also the hotel staff can arrange a taxi for you as they work with all taxi companies. All taxis work of meters so you know what you will pay is the correct charge.
