There are no selfie-hunters, no crowds: just you, a refreshing breeze, and the Caribbean nature. You can go diving or snorkeling, do yoga, eat good food, or just relax. Every staff member is here for you and will ensure you have everything you need to make your dream holiday come true. Tranquilseas has only nine rooms so we can give our guests excellent service and care. All in one place. The hotel has a kitchen, providing a rich choice of local and international cuisine. Any diving equipment you may need is available at the diving center, which will also take you to the best diving locations in the area. You can also spend your free time doing yoga with experienced teachers. Spend your evenings relaxing, walking along the beach, and enjoying good food. You can watch the sunset, taste Caribbean cuisine, and soak up the positive energy of the area, all while drinking a colorful cocktail. We stayed here for 16 nights over Christmas and New Year. We split the stay into 7 nights all inclusive with diving and then 9 nights b&b , and out of those 9 nights we ate at the resort a further 5 nights, the food was hat good!
The resort: Tropical oasis with hummingbirds, lizards, butterflies and a wonderful restaurant with the best staff and views to enjoy dinner and drinks night or day.
The room: We had the hummingbird room and it was so private and beautiful, it had its own deck area , a swing hammock and table and chairs. Often frequented by hummingbirds and gecko's. It was immaculately cleaned and refurbished and the shower hot and toiletries included. Air con worked really well.
The dock: Wow our favourite place to relax on the sun loungers and watch the world , sunsets, fish and and nature go by, and even have a giggle at the new fitted 'relax net' being tested by the workmen and staff :-)
The pool: Only used it once as we loved the dock so much , but looks so much nicer with the refurb that happened during our stay.
The Sunken Fish in house restaurant: Food 5* , huge portions, amazing presentation, ice cold beers, gorgeous wines, fresh lemonades, beautiful setting, live music on Fridays, best seats always reserved for resort guests, and the staff David, Bryan, Miguel, Hari, Gretchen were like friends to us, they are all an asset to the resort, you have some special gems there, look after them and say hi from us!
Diving: The dive sites are so close and we managed to see seahorses, turtles, eagle rays, flipper lobster, moray's and many more, visibility was amazing and as 'Captain Marcos' always said easy peasy - pool is open (we made such a great friend in Marcos, we will miss him and his sharp wit and fun loving spirit) , he was right, the diving was the best we have experienced reef condition and small life wise. Our divemaster Ben was amazing , a true gent and spotted so many things. It was a pleasure to dive here. Snorkelling was good too right off the dock.
I cannot recommend the resort enough and we will return! I cant wait to see the new long term plans for this place, we will be following with interest :-)

We stayed at the Humming Bird room with sea view. The room , tastefully decorated, ist surrended by nature,has a terrase with two deck chairs and hamock. The staff is very profesional,helpful and very, very friendly ! The food at the restaurant ist delicious.It was very enjoyable to eat there and watch the lovely sea view.Breakfast is great with many options.It is closed to Carambola Garden and Anthony ´s Key. West End ist just a few kms away . You can get a taxi or stop a local bus at the main road (it also goes to Coxen Hole).

Booked a week here for a dive trip w/my adult daughter and can’t say enough about this little place - it is off the beaten path and is a boutique style resort with 7 unique rooms nestled in the jungle area right off the beach w/its own pool, private dock w/large palapa and restaurant (The Sunken Fish) overlooking the bay. Staff was wonderful, room was nice, clean (daily) and well air conditioned (we had a balcony w/ocean view) and food and drinks were great. Shout out to Louis, Vanessa, Brian, Jordan and the rest of the staff for making our week there special. We were looking for a quiet and tranquil location w/character and this fit the bill wonderfully and all for a reasonable price. In addition, Sea Divers is located on the premise and launches off TranquilSeas' private dock. They are a small operator and very accommodating. We dove nearly every day and enjoyed the personal and attentive service they provided.

We stayed at Tranquilseas resort 8-15 February and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The resort is clean, beautiful and sits on the beach. The staff is fantastic and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is a memorable one.
The food is delicious and the portions are large my wife and I shared several meals and still had food left over.
The main reason we chose this resort was the location and the diving. The dive shop is located on the on the lower floor right next to the pool. Amanda the owner is awesome, and will tailor and adjust dive sites based on what the divers want to experience. Dive groups were small and the dive masters were very good at keeping us always from the large dive groups which made the awesome diving that much better.
Thanks Amanda, Joseph, Dennis, Brian, Nareesa, Vanessa, Bryan, David and Ronnie for taking the time and effort to make our vacation fabulous!
If your heading to Roatan for diving or just a relaxing trip, I highly recommend this resort.

My partner and I just finished a week long visit to Tranquil Seas. I rarely feel compelled to write reviews but our experience moved me to do so.
First they are a highly responsive host. From first contact by email after booking (initiated by them) to arrange transportation from the airport for us to our easy check in experience and tour with the Manager Jordan this team is all about service and making your stay comfortable.
It may be a 3 star eco lodge but it has 5 star service!
Apple Cider in housekeeping always made sure we didn't run out of coffee and kept our room impeccably clean as was the rest of the resort.
The food was outstanding and the Guatemalan chefs are next level. I did not know you could make a patatoe taste like that!
Severs Vanesa and Brian quickly became familiar with our preferences often providing what we wanted without having to be asked. Our mixologist David accommodated all requests with a proffesional flare.
We prefer a boutique experience as opposed to big resorts and with 9 rooms this place fit the bill.
What really sets this place apart is the staff who always greeted you with a smile and who seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Jordan as well as other team members were willing to share personal insights on island life and where to find the service or activity you wanted without leaving you feeling like money was the primary motivator.
This review would not be complete without mentioning the rooms. We stayed in the dragonfly suite. It was tastefully decorated with a super comfortable king size bed. Two sinks in the bathroom. The best part was the view from our own private terrace. Stunning!
Snorkeling right off the dock was fantastic. Only a 5 minute swim to the reef teeming with life.
Sandy Bay where Tranquil Seas is located is a short distance from West End if you like to shop. You will not find tour operators or beach merchants pushing their wares in Sandy Bay as you will in West End.
If what you are looking for is personalized service, natural beauty, and a laid back vibe Tranquil Seas Eco Lodge is a decision you will not regret!

Located in Sandy Bay, this is a great location to relax without the touristy environment of West End or West Bay, which are still just a few minutes away by taxi. The Hummingbird Room was recently remodeled and was perfect, complete with a lovely balcony with chairs and a hammock overlooking the ocean. The Wifi in the room and throughout the property was flawless. The property is lush and tropical, the rooms are super clean and the staff is very friendly. David, Vanessa and Brian make the best cocktails! Breakfast is included at their restaurant, and all the food and drinks are delicious and available throughout the day and evening. The on-site dive shop, Sea Divers, is also a great place to get your scuba certification during your stay, or to just book a dive or two. If you want a central location where the jungle meets the ocean and you can totally unwind, this is the place for you!

We stayed at Tranquilseas for eight nights while on a family diving trip (our kids are 8 and 11), it was our second time at the resort. We love the small size and location on Sandy Bay. The public areas of the resort are lovely, and we enjoyed all of our meals in the onsite restaurant, and the staff is friendly and dedicated. The adjacent beach is clean and relaxing to stroll along, and the sunsets from the swings on the dock are memorable.

We stayed in the Hummingbird room for 4 nights and could not love it enough! We had the absolute best time. We will be returning!
The Resort: Beyond peaceful, beautiful, beds were comfortable, rooms are beautiful, and the staff are wonderful. Jordan, the manager, was so great and looked after us. Also, our room had a huge water dispenser and the hotel provides bottles to take home for free to minimize single use plastic. WE LOVED THIS.
The Restaurant: This was the best food we had on the island. The breakfasts are incredible. We had to force ourselves to eat out at other spots. Every meal is amazing there. Brian, Harry, and Miguel at the restaurant were beyond awesome.
The Dive Shop: Carrie was great to work with and they accomodated some last minute dive requests easily! Amazing divemasters too!
We snorkeled off the dock every evening before sunset. We enjoyed the pool. We felt so relaxed there. I can't recommend Tranquilseas enough!

We loved our last few days of Roatan travels at this lush getaway. We had done the tourist stays and wanted some quiet and calm. Wow was this place truly that!! The lush grounds are welcoming and soothe the soul. Feels like a tree-house getaway with a beautiful multi-level dock to enjoy! The staff made our trip one to remember with their genuine attitude and attention to detail. Eliska and Jordan were wonderful and attended to every detail of our stay with warm hospitality, help in travel/taxis and just chatting. :) We will miss them. We got to know the small team of staff and enjoyed our meals and drinks all relatively inexpensive compared to tourist areas. They made one dinner memorable for one of our couples celebrating their first anniversary with a cake and beautifully set romantic table. Thanks to Louis, Vanessa and Brian for their beautiful smiles, hardwork to tend to every dining detail and making us feel appreciated as visitors to their "home"... I did yoga on the top level of deck and wow so cool!!!! The diving center was great too and worked with our party despite the rainy weather and finding the best times to get down under...

I loved everything about this place. From the time I got there and was greeted by the managers to the time I left I felt like another member of the family. The Restaurant "The Sunken Fish" was way more than I expected. This is gourmet food at its best and Vanessa, Luis, Chris and David made it a pleasure to visit. Whether I wanted to enjoy a meal or just chillax I was always well taken care of. Sayda and the house keeping staff were always attentive and exceeded my needs. Amanda and the staff at the dive shop were the best and I can't say enough about my PADI instructor Iron, he was so patient and got me relaxed like I had been diving for years. Easy cab ride to where ever you wanted to go.

I don't recall about the windows; I never opened them since I used the air conditioning. The porches at Scarlet McCaw room and adjacent room at the top did not have screens. I was not bothered by insects, but I should mention I have lived my entire life in south Louisiana except when I went to Stanford.
The beach in front is quite small, really just a path with occasional people walking along it. Adjacent properties have more beachfront but not much. The pier out front is quite nice with lounge chairs and shaded portions. We did hang out there.
The resort is staffed with lots of nice people trying to help you have a pleasant visit. Just ask Eliska if you need anything.

Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, most rooms have covered terraces. The Hummingbird Room and the Tree Frog Room have unique uncovered decks with sunbeds where you can sunbathe.
Hello Krisitne, snorkelling is possible in the bay here at Tranquilseas resort. Alternatives include west end and west bay which are both only a few minutes away by car. Tropical regards
There are a few stairs between cabanas and restaurant and then swimming pool and beach. It wasn’t too much for us, and we both have creepy knees and are 51 years old.
There are more places to choose from in the Sandy Bay area.
