Detailed Reviews

This is my 1st visit to Boracay and I will tell you that this
resort is an amazing place to stay. Perfectly located on
the quiet side of the Island and it is directly on the beach.
When you want the bars and busy nightlife it’s only a
15 -20 minute walk to station 1,2 or 3.

However you may not even want to leave Aqua Boracay
as it has everything such as a beautiful clear pool, nice
fitness center, spa services and beautiful rooms.

The breakfast buffet is excellent with fresh fruit and juices,
your choice of soups, several hot items, desserts and an
incredibly friendly staff. Special shout out to MAE and REDESSA and LEO at the Qtchn restaurant for their amazing service everyday at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Nice bar area also right at beachfront with very friendly
staff. When we return to Boracay we will definitely stay
here again.

The room rate is very reasonable able for the area and
especially when daily free breakfast is included.

One item VERY important that was included in our trip
was the transfers to and from the airport. It’s especially
convenient because when you arrive at the airport in
Boracay you will need to take a taxi and then a boat to arrive at the island. By having the transfers INCLUDED
in your trip you will be expedited because a staffer
from Aqua Boracay will meet you at the airport, drive
you to the boat dock and then you will bypass the long
line of people waiting to get on the large boat. Aqua
Boracay has their own smaller boat (for about 10 people)
that quickly sped up to the island (just 10 min. trip) and then
drive us directly to the resort.

The transport staff is amazing and so friendly. Also they
will be in excellent communication with you via text, Viber,
WhatsApp on your departure date to get you back to
the airport in time for your flight.

On the day we left there was a typhoon in Manila that caused our flight to be cancelled. The transport staff
proactively contacted us to let us know this occurred
and they coordinated our transport for later that day
when we rebooked our flight.

I think you can safely say I highly recommend this resort!

We had an amazing stay at Aqua Boracay. The resort is beautiful and well laid out. The rooms are spacious and feel like home. We were upgraded upon our arrival to a one-bedroom suite. It had plenty of space and allowed for my early riser hubby to watch TV or make coffee in the other room without disturbing my sleep. The pool is beautiful and large enough for everyone. There were plenty of chairs and towels available. The front desk staff was welcoming and accommodating. The restaurants were on skeleton crew when we were there due to some damage from the prior Typhoon in Dec. Calvin took great care of us at the restaurant and around the pool. He told us about places to tour and recommended some cool island hopping. The beach is nice and has tons of parasailers. You can walk out of the resort or take a ride to D-Mall. It is just minutes away with tons of restaurants and shops. There is also a beach along the touristy side with cool restaurants and shops. Tons of places to eat! We loved staying at Aqua Boracay because it was just steps to the shops and restaurants but a peaceful and serene setting back at the resort, away from all the crowds. We will definitely stay there again.

I and my friends had a great stay at Aqua Boracay, a lovely resort with all the comforts of home. Great location, close to Bulabog Beach any other spots in Boracay (Dmall, restaurants) are within walking distance. The swimming pools were great, the very resort feels that you do not need to go to the beach.
Emily from the Sales department who helped me book the Premier Suite room is the best, provided all the necessary information about the hotel and the room, which helps me decide.
Sarah from the front desk who also helps us check-in is one of the nicest as well.
Another hotel or resort here in Boracay I would love to check in again, for staycation.

This hotel is a disaster on service. After travelling all night and hotel staff transported us from airport to hotel, we made check-in, around 8 a.m. After paying the seven nights booked in an hotel reservation site and rendered the deposit, reception states room is not ready yet housekeeping is cleaning it and that we can go to take breakfast because within 1 hour room ready and they would call us.
Immediately disappointed with buffet breakfast, no juices, no yoghurt, no bacon, no good bread, no croissants, that all hotels offer on buffet breakfast, price really expensive for the poor offer.
Next more than two hours elapse with me and my husband pressing for the room and reception telling us room not ready yet.
After so many insistence the staff comes to say we need to pay PHP 3,900.00 and taxes because they are going to arrange another room, as the original one we can only enter enter 3 p.m. Get really mad with them, telling them no need for such theatre, tell us immediately that we need to pay and do not make us loose precious hours of rest. Instead of paying 3 hours later we could have paid immediately as the number of the room in the cards was exactly the same mentioned in the invoice of the breakfast two hours before.
Inso many stays in hotels during 40 years, this kind of incident never happened.
I want to state also room is not properly cleaned, towels and robes are very old, wardrobe have 3 hangers and there are only 3 very small drawers to put the clothes.

Negative:
The hotel has severe problems with the way it is build.
In addition to all the noises from the outside (whose you can hear through the cheap windows) you hear every noise from the other rooms around you. 2 almost sleepless nights for us.
In addition to that, the breakfast buffet is very poor in concerns of fresh fruits and cheese / cold cuts. We have stayed for 2 weeks and there was only watermelon and pineapple (except for 2!! days), so we had to bring our own mangos.
The first room we have lived in also had severe problems with mold in the bathroom.
In the gym, only 2 out of 5 cardio devices worked properly - and there was also a strong smell of mold.

Positive:
The staff is outstanding. No matter where you are, they always have a smile on their faces and are willing to do everything to make your stay memorable.
The design of the hotel and the rooms is chic
Layout of pool is nice - you have different areas for swimmers, kids, whirlpool etc (only pain here: same music every day).

1.
Aqua Boracay is more than a resort—it’s an escape into the lap of luxury. Nestled on the quieter side of Boracay, this gem offers a serene retreat for families, couples, and groups alike. As we stepped onto the property, we were greeted by contemporary design, elegant rooms, and a sense of calm.

2.
The rooms and presidential suites at Aqua Boracay are a symphony of modern aesthetics. It's almost always cool and windy, except in May and June. The view is stunning, sunset and sunrise, the kites flying through the air and the board surfers racing through the emerald waves. We did not miss the white beach on the other side of the island, very busy, busy and it's only 5 minutes from the Bulabog beach.

3. Breakfast and culinary Delights
The resort’s culinary offerings are equally enchanting. Imagine sipping an Espresso Martini by the pool, a spicy salmon salad for lunch, the quiet beach stretching before you. The friendly staff at Qtchn restaurant where a Lucious breakfast buffet is offered.

A very reasonable and good informal bar/restaurant nearby is Levanteen Bar and a kite & Beach Resort Habagat (Winnie Levai)

Our stay at Aqua Boracay far exceeded our expectations! It was away from the busy D mall area but only a 5 minute walk away! The staff were so accommodating and even upgraded one of our rooms to a 1 Bedroom Suite, free of charge! We were welcomed by Emely who made our check-in process a breeze! She was so hospitable and a lovely face to see around the resort! Our server the first night at Qtchn was Calvin who did an amazing job! The next day by the pool, we saw him again and he gave us so many great recommendations on islands to visit and places to see! We were sad to say goodbye to him by the end of the trip because he turned into a friend! The rooms were so clean and beautiful. The pool was also so nice and had a bar right next to it. We will definitely be back!

My husband, nephew and I went to the all day restaurant for dinner at 7pm. We were the only people in there. I ordered a glass of wine which took 15 minutes to come. The men’s beer came sooner. I ordered the curry chicken. My husband ordered the Beef Escabeche, nephew had 6 pieces of chicken wings. After 30 minutes my entree showed up. I noticed it was beef and not chicken. I was hungry so I did not mention it. The rest of the meals came 10 minutes later. The beef in my dish was so tough that I had to take it out of my mouth. When they brought the rest of the meals. I told the waiter that I ordered chicken and that the beef could be chewed. He responded by saying that the chicken was frozen that’s why they brought me beef. I told him that my dinner was unexceptable and to show the chef my plate. They did not offer to remove from my invoice. So for 4 small entrees, 1 glass of wine, 1 beer and 1 coke my bill came out to $198.85 Canadian! Definitely will not being going back. I understand why restaurant was empty. BTW my husband is a professional executive chef in Canada

It’s just day one and I had high expectations for Aqua with it’s ratings and reviews.
I understand it’s an extremely busy time but am very disappointed with how check-in went.
We arrived early morning and did ask if we could check in earlier. Check in’s at 3pm. Were told we’d be put first in line once rooms open up. Mind you we have more than 2 rooms booked.
We were offered to sit at the restaurant which was lovely with AC + a welcome drink. Decided we’d dine for lunch as well.

We waited patiently and made no complaints at all. Once 3pm neared, lots of people started coming in and we noticed they were given their respective rooms quickly. Especially those who were angry and complained, I even personally saw a free upgrade for a family who just came in just because they complained. It felt unfair and made me feel uncomfortable. I was finally given two rooms and had to wait for the next. Half an hour past and still no room so I went to check, still waiting. Until I waited a couple more and decided to return to front desk explaining the situation (family tired, waiting past check in) and they finally gave me the keys to the room. It had a nicer view than the other two.

So I called to ask if I could request for a better view and wait it out. Even for the coming days since I’ll be here a while but to avail. I was offered to pay for a premium upgrade for a better room and I asked how much I’d need to pay. They said they’d call back and when they did, I was told no room upgrade would be available the whole week even if I was offered to pay for it.

Just got a courtesy call to ask if the room is alright and what else could I say.
I honestly don’t know how it’s going to go. I just am trying to be more positive about it since I’ll be here a while with the family. I guess being nice doesn’t give you better perks or service. First impression though and I’m quite dissatisfied.

Lovely hotel set on the quieter side of the island but it’s only a very short walk/tuk tuk to D mall (5 mins max). I’d say it’s the perfect location. Rooms are huge, bed is comfortable and the pool is fantastic. The food at Sea.Food is unreal, I’d recommend the steak. The highlight of the stay was sundowners in the pool bar. Reo and Gero are the two best bar tenders on the island and know how to make a proper cocktail. They are very hospitable and I would recommended their Jamu Bali, it’s a very refreshing way to watch the sun go down. There are many nice hotels on the island but the staff here make this one the best I’ve stayed at.
