The hotel is lovely. Staff were very friendly (reception, cleaners and breakfast staff). The breakfast was decent. Turkish and other options were offered at breakfast. I personally love Turkish food so I enjoyed the breakfast. Beds were comfortable and clean as well. The rooms are really nice. The location is very convenient as the closest tram stop is Beyazit and it's on the blue line. The hotel is within walking distance to Grand Bazaar and a tram ride away from anywhere. Overall the experience was lovely. I read reviews about the hotel charging exorbitant amounts for taxis to and from the airport so I used the BiTaksi app which was cheap and convenient.

The hotel is well placed, in the heart of the European tourist part of the city, and offers good access to transport possibilities. Although it's not the most affordable hotel in the region, it offers amenities, like the garage, which are pretty rare, along with a room of a reasonable size.
Everything was clean and staff was helpful, although not everyone speaks English The breakfast was buffet based but because the staff was serving, it was somewhat clunky.
The rooftop view, where breakfast is also served, is very pretty and relaxing.

We stayed in this hotel for a four week break and it was the best time we have had. Although the hotel is located on a steep incline it is almost towards the top, so getting around is only a few steps to the top. But once you are there the whole of the main attractions are within walking distance and tram rides. The Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, Sopia, Sultanahmet is two tram stops away and really a good location to walk around the areas of Fetih where all the restaurants and shops are.
The hotel check in for us was very swift with well trained staff. The one that stood out was Mr Semith Ustun who responded very well when we found out that the AC was not working in our room. In fact all the staff are very courteous, friendly and welcomed everybody with a smile. This shows that the hotel takes training of staff seriously. This was also evident at the breakfast time as well. You had the Guest Relation Manager Kiara always smiling asking how your stay had been and if there was anything they could do to make it better. She was a real live wire and was seen everywhere and always at hand to assist, so were the bell boys who would arrange taxis, give you tips and assist you with everything. We wanted to go to a mall and they were very accommodating advising us about how to best get there and then arranging transportation swiftly.
The rooms are very well appointed and clean, the bed was very large and soft and the service in the room was exemplary from the room boys/maids. The bathroom was very spacious and the water pressure was excellent. The amenities offered were of high quality, plenty and varied. We had no issues with the WiFi which was very strong as this was one of the issues we have had with many hotels in Istanbul, this was a good experience with that regard.
The breakfast was very well spread and there were a lot of varieties including cooked food which was served on the counters but the Chef's Specials were very interesting. The one that stood out was the egg on toast with avocado and salad, went down very well, the cinnamon bread was also very juicy and the collection of different honeys did it really for me.
The health club facilities were excellent with the jaccuzi and the sauna and steam room. The prices offered by the specialist masseurs were very affordable and I was able to fully relax my body with some of these treatments.
We will certainly return to this lovely modern hotel and recommend to our friends and family.

This hotel has an amazing view from their restaurant at the roof top. The food is excellent and the staff speaks english and is very kind. The breakfast buffet has a lot of value for the price and it also has a beautiful view of the 6th floor of Istanbul. The rooms are roomy and confortable. The hotel arrange for us (at a extra cost) the PCR tests prior to our departure back to the States which made it super convenient. The hotel is located in the heart of Fatih, very near the Grand Bazaar and the historical sites such as the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. I highly recommend it.

The hotel has a great location with walking distance to great restaurants and sights. The rooftop is amazing, with great views. The rooms are clean and the staff were mostly helpful and friendly.
They have a pool, but you need a swimming cap to enter, which they sell for 25TL per person. Never seen this in another hotel before, and it feels a bit cheap coming from Radisson.
At one point I asked if they could help order a taxi, and the staff said that since the street was closed they couldn't help me (the areas is closed on some days between 10am and 9pm). Then another staff said that the average price for taxi to Taksim should be around 80TL, and that we had the option of taking their passenger car for 150TL. We said no, as my research had shown much lower prices. We ended up finding a taxi further down the street, and despite long traffic it ended up costing 32TL there and 34TL back. Again, a bit cheap considering it's a Radisson.
I would have rated it higher if these things hadn't happened, but it resulted in a bad experience.
A redeeming point however, was that a hotel manager was really helpful in helping us reach our pre-reserved taxi to the airport when the streets were closed. The stay could have been great, but wasn't.

However we were sad that you had some issues because of swimming cap. We try to provide the safe and hygienic accomodation that is why we ask our guests to have swimming caps while using the swimming pool. The guests can bring their swimming caps or for their convinience we offer them to buy it on place. This rule we have in all hotels of our chain. After the decision of the Administration of the city to close our area we try to help our guests with the taxi service. Sometimes it is very difficult to find a taxi during the daily time. 150 TL that you wrote was the offer for private transfer as the hotel couldn't help you with the taxi. Good hotel in a location close to main attractions such as Grand Bizaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We got an Airport bus from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) to Taksim which cost about 36 Turkish Lira. We then got a taxi from Taksim to the hotel. Beware of some of the rip off taxi drivers and their scams. We got ripped off and charged 4 times the true cost (100 Lira instead of 25), as the driver went along the coast and pretended not to be familiar with where the hotel was and was aggressive. Also beware of a taxi scam where, for example, you hand the driver a 100 lira note, then he quickly switches it to a 10 lira note and tells you that you only gave him 10 lira. Tell the driver how much the note is when handing it over. There are two separate bus services from and to:
1) Istanbul Airport (IST) and Taksim (which drops off and picks up near the Point Hotel Taksim).
2) Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) and Taksim (which drops off and picks up near the Point Hotel Taksim).
Just make sure you get on the correct bus (both services go from the same street).
The hotel itself was very good. The room and bathroom were not huge, but a very good standard. Comfy bed, huge flat screen tv, and coffee / tea making facilities. We were in room 326 which had a limited view of the sea. Whilst the hotel was good, we would not stay here again, as we feel Taksim is a better location. We feel that it would be better to stay in Taksim and travel to Fatih to visit sights. Top tip: ask for a room with a view of the sea from floor 4 or above. The hotel called us a taxi to take us from the hotel to Taksim to get the Airport bus when we left the hotel, and we did not get ripped off. I recommend asking the hotel to call a taxi rather than get one yourself.

The service at the hotel is amazing, checking in and out was very easy. When checking in they gave us maps of the area we were in and the things we could do. Whatever you needed would be delivered to your room immediately, very fast service. Housekeeping were great, inside the room next to the door you press a button: do not disturb, house keeping and another which I can’t remember and on the outside it’ll show what you’ve pressed. So if you didn’t want to be disturbed it would show or if you needed the room tidying the housekeeper would be able to see and would clean. During check out they made sure we had booked transport otherwise they would’ve helped us. The staff there are just so lovely always had a smile on their faces, very approachable. Helped us plan a few routes and which trams/metros to take. The hotel is slap bang in the middle of everything that it’s literally a walking distance. Bazaar, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque, food places, clothing stores, corner shops, etc by far the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at not just because of the staff because it was all a walking distance

The rooms are mostly very small, there is no getting away from that. Getting one of the larger rooms is well worth it, especially if you are travelling with a family. They also gain you independence from the collective heating system, which may be set at a level with which you are not comfortable.
Nevertheless, the location is absolutely unbeatable, the F&B is really not bad - the breakfast in particular is superb, although it is true that if you were Asian you would go hungry - and it is not noisy or uncomfortable in any way. I would definitely return.

We received the smallest room possible (Room 237) The door opens directly into the bed. There is no room for luggage or suitcases toi be opened, apart from directly on the bed. Because this room is in the corner there is limited storage capacity in the bathroom as well. Everything is just tight and no holiday feeling comes in this room. The electric triggers several times each night and the entrance light goes on. After a few seconds the electric comes back and the light goes off, but you will be awake every time because off the feeling someone enters the room. The neighbour room (236) had a small child, so the screeming could be heard all evening plus the stroller blocking the isle outside. On the positive the staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good.

Our stay at Radisson President Old Town Istanbul was overall quite enjoyable. The breakfast offered was a standout feature, with a diverse and delicious spread. The bed comfort met expectations, and the staff proved to be friendly and accommodating throughout my visit. The temperature-controlled pool and inviting jacuzzi added to the leisure options, and the spa is amazing.
The central location of the hotel was convenient, surrounded by numerous shops, and within walking distance to the tram. However, one noticeable issue was the difficulty in maintaining a comfortable room temperature. Despite efforts, the room remained too warm even with the provided fan, thats due to centralized heating system which individual room cannot adjust, Additionally, due to road closure taxi will drop up or down of the hill and the the challenge of navigating especially when carrying luggage uphill or downhill, posed a minor inconvenience.
On the positive side, the housekeeping service was commendable, and the staff was helpful in assisting with tour and taxi bookings. Despite some minor drawbacks, Radisson President Old Town Istanbul offers a pleasant and well-located option for those visiting the city

The Havist bus will take you to "downtown Istanbul" where there are wide footpaths to take you to the hotel. Of course there are also taxis which aren't too expensive, but the distance is long and traffic can be bad.
The Istanbul airport is situated 1 - 1:30 hour from our hotel (depends from traffic).
Taxi will cost appr. 350 TL
