The Penthouse definitely was beyond our expectations! Weezie’s doesn’t owe us a thing. Clean & well kept property that we hope to stay at again. Adorable & attentive restaurant with full bar and menu. Private pool that’s relaxing & gorgeous. Rented bicycles for the week to ride to sightseeing. Huge balcony, Cold A/C, 5 gallon purified water in kitchen, plenty of windows to see the ocean views. 5 Star!

We recently stayed 5 nights at Weezie's and had a great time. It's location is away from the hustle and bustle of the town but easily within walking distance. If walking is not your style they have cheap bike rentals or you can talk a cart taxi. I think one of the nicest things about the location is you are close to the water taxi and the Caye Caulker airport. We flew into Caye Caulker and then just took a 5 min walk to Weezie's. The same could be done if you take the water taxi.

Weezie's is well maintained, very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. They had two well maintained pools for use and also a nice beachfront with chairs and a long pier with even more chairs to use. Easy access to the street and the beachfront path that takes you directly to town. We walked the entire island and I would say Weezie's looks to be one of the nicest places to stay on Caye Caulker.

We just returned from a week at Weezie's. What a find! It is everything you could possibly want for a quiet getaway to a very laid back island. It is off the beaten path yet a very easy walk to anything and everything you could ever want. The property itself is impeccably maintained. The rooms are spotless and the staff could not possibly be more friendly or accommodating. They are extremely knowledgeable about all of the best places on the island. They made us feel like family. I cannot say enough good things about this place. From Tom (the owner) to Roberto (the onsite manager) to Ruben (bartender) to Jocelyn (restaurant staff) and everybody else there, we were treated very well. I could not imagine giving this place less than 5 stars. I was curious, so I read some of the lesser reviews. They either had unreasonable or skewed expectations or they had some other type of axe to grind. This place is worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

Roberto and Anna have created an absolutely beautiful oasis in Weezie’s and clearly care deeply about guests’ experiences.

Our limited flights out of our tiny town landed us at the airport too late for the commercial ferry to Caye Caulker but after asking Tom, the owner, for advice when we booked the trip, Roberto and his teammate picked us up personally and ferried us to Weezie’s comfortably. Then, although we we arrived far past usual kitchen hours, Anna made us a delicious and very filling (not to mention much needed) dinner delivered to our room. It was exceptionally easy to ask and receive anything we newbies to Belize desired.

Our suite was cleaned daily by Merly who genuinely loves her work and her country and was a wealth of kindness and valuable recommendations. We rarely have a trip so relaxing and were able to walk everywhere easily, swim off of Weezie’s dock (and in it’s gorgeously maintained pool), and communicate with Roberto and Anna’s team at any moment. The entire staff and the folks they host were welcoming and kind.

We highly recommend Reina’s for dinner if you want to give Anna a break, the Pelican Sunset Bar (for yes, the sunsets), Green Salad and Juice Bar at the split, and Namaste Yoga cafe.

Mario’s Tours (owned by Merly’s brother) was straightforward and easy to book last minute. Mario’s team was engaging and knowledgeable (thank you again Reef & Joe). The snorkeling trip was phenomenal.

Roberto also golf-carted us to the ferry for our departure and saved us from an unnecessarily early arrival time at the ferry terminal.

When we return to Caye Caulker, we will plan our trip around Weezie’s availability.

I'm so glad we chose to stay at Weezies for our time on Caye Caulker. My only doubt going in was the location, as Weezies is about 10 blocks south of the center of Caye Caulker village, farther than most other hotels. But it turned out to be perfect. We literally walked out of the tiny Caye Caulker airport, one block down the street, to the hotel. And the 10 minute walk to town actually turned out to be an enjoyable part of our time on the island, a chance to simply look around and get to know the village, also to walk off our dinner in the evenings. We spent most afternoons on the island by simply grabbing a book, a couple of cold Belikin beers from the bar or front desk, and heading out to their private dock to read and relax in the shaded lounge chairs (usually this turned into a nap). Every now and then, one of the little island-hopping prop planes would take off over the water out past the dock, which always reminded me momentarily to appreciate that I didn't yet have to leave Caye Caulker. Anyway, Weezies is a great value. And I was very impressed with the staff, always at hand keeping the place neat and maintained, and always ready to offer help. There are a couple of new hotels in the center of town, clunky concrete places that I really wish hadn't been put there. Stay at Weezies instead - you won't regret it.

Spent 5 days at Weezies, it was fantastic! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Reuben at the bar was super friendly and pours a mean drink! Anna in the kitchen did a great job frying the fish we caught. John is the captain of our half day fishing/snorkeling trip, which is a great deal, he cleaned the fish while we snorkeled. Our room was spacious and had a great view. Rent the bikes to get around town, it's 5$ a day and well worth it.

If you are coming to Caye Caulker, Belize and want a beautiful & quiet property, extremely helpful and friendly staff, and the comfort of clean rooms, perfect pool/beach/dock facilities, and a reliable restaurant, then stay at Weezie's Ocean Front Hotel and Garden Cottages. It is located away from the main streets of town, so quiet and relaxing while still accessible.

Use their reception services in advance to help arrange a water taxi from Belize City, take a golf cart taxi to the hotel, and to solve problems during your stay. FYI, the local flight from Belize City lands 400 yards from Weezie's. No taxi needed!

Minimally, spend a day using the pool, beach, and dock facilities. The pool by the beach isn't heated, so it is refreshing and a place to do lap swimming. Their restaurant has excellent food which is exactly what you need on the night you arrive, for a lazy day by the pool, or for breakfast before a big day of snorkel or scuba.

If you get a room with a refrigerator, the store is 10 minutes away where you can get all the essential beverages and snack food. Don't waste your time on renting bikes or a golf cart unless you are trying to avoid the rain or humidity. Restaurants, tour companies, stores, etc. are all just a 10-30 minute easy walk away.

Our room had a kitchen with all the necessities except for a microwave. Would recommend this as an addition.

Just arrived back home to Canada. If you are thinking of booking a trip to Caye Caulker and staying at Weezies. Book it! Don't hesitate, just book it. I can honestly tell you it was one of our best vacations. Amid everything that was going on in the world around us, Roberto and his staff made us feel safe, comfortable and reassured that we were in good hands. If we could have extended our stay, we would have. The lovely people of this tiny island are wonderful and kind and depend on tourism. We stayed in the Yellow Cottage a two minute bike ride from the main buildings. The cottage was beautiful and perfect. We sat on the porch every night (bring bug spray) and listened to music, played a game and visited with Kitty Caulker or Puppy as our lovely neighbours in the Purple Cottage called her. Please, please be nice to her. She is lovely and friendly. The cottage was super clean. We loved that coffee and filters were supplied. That was a nice bonus. We would sit on the porch in the morning with coffee and kitty watching all the kids on their way to school. We picked up some basic groceries from the nearby shop but also made sure we enjoyed breakfast at the Cafe on site one morning and it was delicious. We rented bikes right from Weezies and used them every day! Hanging out on the dock was our favourite afternoon thing to do. We spotted sting rays leaping into the water which was really cool and the snorkeling off the dock wasn't bad. We did do a 3 hour snorkel tour with Reef Friendly tours and it was excellent. It was just us and Ramsey and it was fabulous. Restaurant visits included Little Kitchen, Hibiscus, Pelican Sunset Grill and a few more. Spent an afternoon at Koko King. Met some new friends and had great conversations with people from all over. Caye Caulker is super laid back and chill. Go Slow. Take your time. Honestly, Weezies was incredible and I would absolutely recommend it for anyone.

My wife and I just finished our second trip to Caye Caulker and have stayed at Weezies both times. To put it simply, it's a quaint and remarkable getaway with a more than phenomenal staff that focus their energy on ensuring that the guest have the most care free time. Weezie's has multiple amenities/qualities that makes it both enjoyable and convenient such as:

1) Being close to the airport which makes it easy access upon arrival.

2) They have an in-house cafe that allows you to wake up and order a fresh and fulfilling breakfast with fresh squeezed juices. This cafe also serves lunch and dinner (this is new) which features fresh seafood items such as shrimp ceviche and fish tacos.

3) The bar onsite has an assortment of drink options ranging from local Belizean beers to your quenching and refreshing Pina coladas (Ruben makes the best on the island) and Margaritas.

4) The staff is able to get you any services needed such as bikes or golf carts for transportation or even make recommendations on fishing guides. However, I would not say I've had the best luck with fishing at Caye Caulker (that may just be me)...

5) Private pools onsite allow for you to enjoy soaking in the sun away from the noisy and busy places in town like the Lazy Lizard, but that's not to say there isn't a time or place for them!

Overall, this resort is very quiet and away from the busier parts of town but is also close enough to where it's not a hassle to go to the store or to enjoy a night life. My wife and I deeply enjoy our time here and would recommend it to anyone, but I'd forewarn that this island does not offer the amenities and features that a Cancun or more American-style vacation destination would so if that's what you are ultimately interested in, this is not for you.

We stayed at Weezies for 9 nights over the 2019/20 New Year Period, and it was absolute heaven.

We chose a large studio, which was perfect for the two of us with a fully fitted kitchen and air conditioning, as well as a lovely little outside area to sit. It would be nice if there were recycling bins in the kitchen area/communal areas though.

The staff were SO friendly, and took the time to say hello or good morning every day. Reuben is fantastic, he came to check on us when we were sunbathing on the pier and made sure we always had everything we needed.

The pier is perfect, with plenty of sun loungers in both the sun and shade, so something for everyone. It’s a lovely place to watch the sunrise from! The very end of the pier is for residents only, and my only comment is that I do wish they would enforce this a little more as a couple of days there was a really annoying group of travellers staying in a nearby hostel using the end of the pier and being a bit nosiy.

There’s a lovely little restaurant onsite which serves delicious breakfast and lunch til 3.30pm, and lots of other amenities like beach massage, paddleboard/kayak/bike hire.

Yes, there’s no evening restaurant there, but there’s a lovely wine bar across the road, and seriously, the island is only 1.5km long... walk! It’s a lovely walk along the beach to the Caye Caulker Village area which takes 10 minutes MAXIMUM, so anyone moaning about that is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

I accept there are a few issues with power/water. However, this isn’t isolated to Weezies, it’s an island-wide problem and something they are trying to address as a community. It means you might be without power for a few hours. One day we were without power for a whole day which was a little frustrating as the showers are electric, but otherwise it wasn’t an issue and was a welcome change to be without screens/phones for a day!

My husband and I absolutely loved our time at Weezies, and will definitely be back.

The hotel has a great dock with lounge chairs. You can swim there and hang out. For a beach experience biking to the Split is probably the best option.

There’s not much beach area on this side of the island. They did have a dock that had chairs and you can swim from there as well.

We are just leaving Belize and Weezies (May 2018), I think the airport on Caye Caulker is still shut down for quite a while. It was not operational when we were here. They are repairing the runway.
