We stayed here in November and had a wonderful time. We chose this location for the unique experience of staying in a "bubble" and it did not disappoint. We especially loved the Zarb dinner and the warm Bedouin coats provided for the cool evenings. Unfortunately it was cloudy when we were there so we missed the star show. A special thank you to Adil, our driver and guide in Wadi Rum, who made our time there extra special.

Our first choice was fully booked. So after reviewing Wadi Rum camps on booking.com I came across this camp which seems similar to the one I wanted to stay in. Then I researched more and found out it was one of the best let’s say 3 camp hotels in Wadi Rum. It’s more luxury than traditional. A bit expensive compared to other camps.
Although I read a review on Trip Advisor someone saying that getting there wasn’t easy or got stranded somewhere. We found out it was so easy to access. We had our own driver and as soon as we arrived to Wadi Rum through the highway we saw a big red sign saying “UFO Luxotel”. He followed the signs and we found a parking and a small building where we could wait for our Jeep transfer to the camp.
Upon checkout I found out the camp opened recently. We asked for a room with unobscured views and thank god we got it. Breakfast and dinner is included. They have a nice large restaurant and also cafe area. Food is good and although I read a review saying food isn’t a lot and quickly finishes, I found out they had refills. Lunch is served a la carts and not free.
We got the smallest category I think, which was the junior suite. There is no door to separate bedroom from bathroom. You just get to see the sink and on the other side of the sink and separated by a wall (not from wall to wall so still no privacy) is the toilet and shower. Even though we would have preferred the privacy of a toilet things worked out fine. There’s a terrace with chairs and a hammock. Sunset views are amazing.
There’s heater in the room but it’s still freezing during January. They provide “bisht” for guests inside the bubble. That’s the long Bedouin jacket. Bottled water is provided.
Activities provided is the Jeep tour, 2,3,4 hours. I recommend you do the 3 or 4 hour tour. And don’t miss the Stargazing activity at night! That was the highlight of our stay!

Great hotel located within the Wadi Rum desert offering excellent views across the plain. Each room of the hotel is in a separate pod, offering privacy en reclusion. There's a free shuttle service from the main road in case you're not driving a 4x4.

Stayed one night at UFO Luxotel, which I didn’t realize is co-owned by the Wadi Rum Bubble Luxotel and share much of the infrastructure. Place comes with high level of infrastructure and service considering the remote location and harsh environment. The rooms are larger than expected and clean with hot water and surprisingly good water pressure. The rooms are scattered across a large area connected by walking wood planks, offering privacy and little light distraction that enhances star gazing. The buffet meals do their job, offer more options than I would expect, but don’t expect 3- Michelin stars. The hotel is located outside the Wadi Rum national reserve (10-15 min drive), but I think that being outside the park allows for higher quality hotel experience than the tent camps inside the park. Would stay here again.

I had a really terrible experience at this "luxotel". The staff was extremely unhelpful during checkin and did not provide any help in booking a desert safari. They've outsourced their tours to a rather shady group of people who over charge people against the Wadi Rum park rules by trying to charge per person, not per vehicle. The camp was totally unhelpful when I arrived at their "meeting lounge". When we finally got a jeep tour it was really late in the day and we didn't have a chance to go very far into the desert.
The rooms themselves are quite dated and not well maintained. The shower is so small that you can barely fit into the door. The entire experience is like a one star property, but you pay the price of a 5 star property.

We stayed 1 night in Wadi Rum and our goal was to enjoy the stars from our bed. However this was unfortunately not possible. From outside the bubbles look very attractive but when you get inside you quickly understand that you will not be able to achieve your goal. The window shade above our bed was broken and the transparent wall in front of the bed was too dirty to allow a good view to outside. The room size was good. The food was served as a buffet and very tasty. The furniture and floor of the room was a bit outdated. We were surprised how much rubbish was all over the common areas. The most of the trash canes were broken and useless. Outside the reception area there was a round shaped sitting place where people could take a smoke or something to drink (obviously non alcoholic drinks) but it was too dirty and we decided to stay in our bedroom. The two brothers running the place were very kind and helped us with a couple of logistics matters. We really appreciated that but they really need do something about the maintenance of the park. It is a pity.

The reception staff is superb. The dinner was one of the best we ate on our trip. The astrakhan coats provided in the room are a nice touch. The golf carts arrive very quickly to pick you up should you need them. Unfortunately, we didn't have the stargazing experience because of a cloudy sky. The ufo tents are comfortable but not luxurious, but we were prepared for that.

DO NOT STAY HERE ! Straight to the point: No wifi in the rooms/ Poorly maintained/ hot water is not 24 hrs, we need it to take a shower at 5 am in the morning before our air balloon experienced and we couldn’t because the water was freezing/ service is terrible / rooms smells like cigarets / actual value for a night here would be 15 euros. Don’t be fool by the pictures. Much better options than this. I always refer to rooms in Plural because we checked 3, and they were in the same conditions.

No, not included. If you end up doing the jeep tour and you would like to tip the driver/guide, make sure you do that before you get back to the camp, otherwise the head of drivers will take it for himself
There are more places to choose from in the Wadi Rum Village area.
