We just loved AquaWorld! We were looking for something to help fill the winter break from school and we love going to Budapest and they had a special stay two nights and get the night free so we jumped as Ella can spend all day and night in an aqua park. The hotel is a delight, the staff is exceptional and the water park and spa is second to none. There are 8 saunas from ice to salt to minerals to Russian at 90 degrees C and everything in between. Full spa services which we did not try. Pools warm and cold, slides, jacuzzies, bars, bubbles and sprays, enough for the entire family to be entertained. Indoor and outdoor, something about that cold air on your face in a hot pool; there is more to do in the summer that I have no idea about you can just see the structures outside. There is a shuttle four times a day to Hero's Square in Budapest which is four subway stops from the Danube. I would plan on the fifteen euro cab ride back to stay for dinner in town. The food is fair, and there are options close by to explore more food choices.

All together a great experiences, amazing warm water, great slides a fun things for children, parts of the pools rooms need a bit o renovation a coils ve cleaner, the chaise-lounges could be cleaner, maybe having them made from a different material that is easier to clean would be better. Dinner buffet was not worth the money, however the breakfast was wonderful with a wide range of foods for everyone. The robes had wholes in them, all three that we received, the smell of perfume in the halls was too strong, staff was amazingly friendly, and the children's play room was very nice, the food at the pool was delicious and for a reasonable price, will definitely return again

I'm in your hotel for the second time and everything was as seamless as the first time. I have no specific complaints. The problem with the beds in the room was immediately resolved at the reception desk - I asked for one double bed and a room with two single beds was allocated. The staff are very friendly, the spa is excellent, although the natural saunas were renovated during my stay so they could not be used, but this does not detract from the overall rating. The food is excellent, the breakfast is varied and the buffet dinner is a mix of Hungarian and international cuisine and I definitely recommend you to try it! I am pleased and looking forward to coming again.

Myself & my 3 children & 77 year old mother had a fantastic vacation at Aquaworld in Budapest! The hotel facilities are clean, well maintained and the staff are outstanding and efficient. A massive compliment to the pool staff who keep all 12+ pools in perfect working order as well as the slides. Thanks to the lovely Kids Club girls who kept the younger children entertained at the wave pool with fun games and music! Also the Life Guards who kept everyone safe. The children enjoyed the water slides and the wave pool as well as the lane pool for early morning laps. My mother loved all the heated pools and the sauna. The pool restaurant provided a huge variety of food and snacks for adults & children from fruit cups, salads, crumbed chicken breast, lasagne, fries and mouthwatering crepes with 6 different fillings! The bar staff in the Hotel lobby, Spa Pool bar and the Poolside bar provided excellent service and spoke English very well making us feel very welcome. The bars all served ample juice and usual bar drinks, including coffee & slushees. The Guest Relations Officer Judit was wonderful and helped me to secure my taxis both to and from the airport before we arrived in Budapest, and thereafter taxis and City Sightseeing Bus arrangements. I can highly recommend this resort and would love to return in the future! Thank you to everyone involved.

Visited with children aged 7 and 12 years. First on all this hotel represented great value. For £746 for 3 nights we had a large apartment overlooking the spa (A22); free access to the water park from 7am-10pm, entrance to the oriental spa/sauna world and half board. The hotel is 30mins away from the centre of Budapest-sign up for the bolt app (similar to Uber) for well priced taxis. There are taxis sometimes outside or a bus outside the hotel. Also goBudapest app good for public transport to buy tickets etc. There is not much to see in the surrounding area of the hotel.
The hotel itself is massive; there is the main buffet restaurant Danube (serving mainly Hungarian food with safe child foods of plain pasta/breadcrumb fish or chicken) and eateries throughout. Good non alcoholic drinks available and ben/jerries ice cream.
The apartment had a balcony. There was a sofa bed and shower over a bath. Toiletries and towels provided (take your own towel to the pool area).
At the weekend aqua world is chaotic but arrive early morning (btw slides open from 10am) or evening the crowds disperse. The key height limit is 1.3m to go on any of the big slides. The 7 yr old spent most of her time in the wave pool/little kids pools/outside splash zone. My son loved the slides!
The kids had a fab time! We would return again but may consider staying next time in central Budapest to experience the history/culture more (we did visit a thermal spa, Houses of Parliament, castle and Margaret island; even saw formula f1 driver Zhou Guanyu leaving a Budapest hotel)

All in all it was a good experience, but the housekeeping services could be improved (1st of January especially). The hotel decor could use some remodeling as it seems to be a little bit “used”. Also at a 4 stars hotel with such prices, it’s unpleasant not to have beverages included in the meals, if you choose half board. Last but not least, the access with strollers is very difficult, you had to look for hotel employees in order to help you open doors, whom sometimes let you wait for minutes because they had to sell something first

However, I am delighted to inform you about our refurbishment works that have already started and will be extended to all departments of our resort soon, thereby we look forward to significant changes regarding the decoration and condition of our resort. I am also sorry that our half-board concept did not completely meet your expectations either, however no drinks included has been our policy for many years now, about which we also inform our guests prior to their arrival while making their reservation. Furthermore, of course, our guests are more than welcome to enjoy our drinks during dinner on a half-board basis too, however indeed an extra charge appears in this case. Regarding the acces to the pools with strollers, I always recommend our guests to use our spa lifts which take you directly to the spa, however even using different lifts and the reception being busy, either our bellboy, our guest relation colleagues or spa colleagues are happily at the disposal of our kind guests for such assistance anytime and I am deeply disappointed if this was not your impression. Unfortunately, the conditions offered are well below the 4 star hotel standard. At lunch you have to wait over an hour in the queue to eat. You do not have any facilities if you are staying in the hotel compared to any client of the pools. The rooms are not maintained. Unfortunately, the quality of services has decreased a lot in recent years ... I am very disappointed with what I have found here. Due to the large number of tourists quality it is no longer a priority. The only interest of those in the hotel is to make money from every tourist ... The quality has been totally lost ...

The hotel is located 20 minutes drive outside of Budapest, it has a huge internal water park, that is also open for the public The hotel itself is rated as 4 stars, and is so in its facilities and services. The rooms are exceptionally well maintained, extra clean and very well appointed. only bad thing that I can recommend improving is the quality and variety of food selection in the breakfast and dinner buffet and also the cleanliness of the plates, silverware and chairs in the dining room. Special thanks to the reception evening manager and especially the receptionist MARIA which was very polite and helpful in solving a problem with a wrong charge to my room.

The hotel, the staff, the waterpark, and the spa were all excellent. There were just 2 things that were not excellent. 1. The WiFi speed in the evening was down to 1mb which meant that video would not stream. I just used my own data to overcome this. 2. If you got to breakfast after about 8.30 there was competition for a table and queues at the coffee machines. Simple solution, arrive earlier.

After reading a lot of bad reviews we were totally surprised with this hotel and therefore needed to write a review.
We visited this hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults, 17 year old and 13 year old) we stayed for 4 night in a junior suite (upgraded to pool view) which included a huge bed, double sofa bed and single sofa bed. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The facilities were amazing, the spa pool area and the water park (this does get busy but we visited late at night which was much quieter) This was the first holiday where we didn't need to reserve beds, there were plenty available even later in the day. Rooms were provided with robs and slippers for the spa.
The food was so much better than expected, especially the breakfast 5* the only down side would be the long queues for the pancakes, there needs to be more machines for the size of the hotel. Dinner was always fresh and a good variety.
The hotel is located about 25 mins drive from the city which we already knew before coming and was more than happy to pay the taxi fare to the centre which worked out to be about £15-20 each way.
The only down side we noticed was the dogs, we didn't know the hotel catered for pets. We don't mind animals, but when your constantly hearing dogs barking from their room, they are clearly being left alone, its quite off putting.
Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would defiantly return and recommend.

We took a taxi (I think about 20 euro from downtown) - our hotel organized - no problems - definitely the best option as public transport is limited enough to this area.
I think it is possible. The guests to Aquaworld have a different entrance than the guest to the hotel. Basically I think that you can buy it directly from Aquaworld.
Hi, yes. Everything is buffet style. For both breakfast and dinner, there is a choice of several dishes, including appetizers, soups, side dishes, meats and desserts. Including meals for children.
There are more places to choose from in the Budapest area.
