Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort garners mixed reviews, with many visitors praising its vibrant atmosphere and prime location just a stroll away from Disney Springs. While the hotel offers family-friendly entertainment and well-liked amenities like shuttle services and a fun pool area, some guests have expressed concerns over the small, outdated rooms and cleanliness issues. Although the staff generally receives compliments for their friendliness, there are occasional complaints about service lapses. A segment of travelers also feels that the hotel may not provide the best value due to unexpected fees.

We stayed at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs when we were coming to Disney World on vacation and saw a Travelzoo deal ($89 per night for a Disney View room, plus $10 nightly resort fee). The rate was much better than booking direct, so definitely see if it is available on Travelzoo.

When we arrived, we wanted to self park and didn’t see the self parking lot, and drove through the valet line and no employees were there, so we kept driving through the property. We finally found the self parking lot after driving through the valet line and it had a sign going into the lot that gate code is required and see the front desk. That was very strange, most other properties will allow you to take a ticket to exchange for a room card for future lot access. So we drove back to the front drive and just parked our car in front of the hotel to figure out what we needed to do.

So we checked in, very nice and efficient front desk agent and he provided us with an early check in and a room on the 18th floor with the Disney View. They also have you sign a registration card confirming the room rate, smoking policy, and confirming the resort fee and self parking fee. It’s really strange that you have to sign these documents now, especially with the COVID pre-cautions. They then provide you with a parking pass and the gate code you use to get in the gate.

When we got to the room, the room was spotless and smelled like it had been extensively cleaned. Right now, housekeeping does not provide daily cleanings, and you have to go by the front desk to get new towels, and additional bathroom amenities daily. They also provide you with trash bags in the room and you can leave your dirty towels and garbage in the hallway for pick-up, but it does get a little messy in the hallway seeing everyone’s garbage bags.

Everyone is very friendly at the hotel, and it’s also nice you have a Joffrey’s location in the lobby that’s open daily from 7a-12p. We got breakfast sandwiches each day for $4.99 and they were pretty good.

I definitely would come back for the convenient location (it’s the closest hotel to Disney Springs, and is great to have the Disney park benefits). But I wouldn’t pay more than $125 per night to stay there due to not having daily housekeeping and the rooms are starting to look a little dated.

I booked this hotel as we had very much enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek a year previous to this trip. I wanted to stay closer to Disney Springs so chose a different Wyndham.

The location of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is perfect. 5 minute walk and you are in Disney Springs. We did not hire a car and so used the hotel shuttle service and Uber. We found the shuttle service to be convenient and well organised. Yes, sometimes there was a wait for the bus, but we didn't mind this as when one arrived there was always space to board.
We found being on the Disney bus service as real bonus. Especially one evening when we dined at Trails End, Fort Wilderness. We got a bus from Fort Wilderness to Disney Springs and walked back to the hotel.

The rooms at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista are a real joy, we stayed in the main building and these rooms are contemporary in decor and very comfortable. The one downside is no balcony area - in any of the rooms.

The lobby boasts a Joffrey's coffee station - very convenient and useful. The small grocery area is great if you are in desperate need of something but prices are about 70% more than you pay in Walmart. Tip - stock up on water/soda and snacks prior to arriving or get an Uber to Walmart/Target during your stay.

The 'Garden rooms' are not as nice as the main hotel building but this is reflected in their price.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Character breakfast within the hotel is fun for all the family and a bonus that they offer this within the hotel, so you don't have to visit a park or Disney resort hotel for character dining.

I would say that the Wyndham Grand Orlando Bonnet Creek has the wow factor in terms of decor, up market lobby & furnishings. The room we stayed in had a balcony area and was just so clean and contemporary. It's a beautiful property that I would prefer to return to, out of the two hotels. The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is walking distance to Disney Springs and is cheaper, so it really depends on what sort of hotel you prefer.
Service and staff manner at both hotels were of a good standard.

This hotel duped me with all the hidden fees and charges. The nightly amenities fee was to cover use of the arcade which had about 5-6 games. In my eyes, that’s a game room! The fee also included the use of the pool, which was a very nice pool, but we could barely use it because of storms and causing the facility to close the pool! I completely understand the safety measures they have in place and appreciate it, but the pool closes at 9pm every night which is too early for vacationing folks. Those were the only things I can think of the resort fee covering. There no complimentary coffee or grab and go breakfast items! AND you have to pay daily for parking that was not convenient or easily accessible to the rooms located in the tower. Now the rooms are beautiful, but SMALL. When I entered my room I was amazed at the cleanliness and the decor, but when I pulled back the drapes, there was a brick wall in view! In addition to the terrible or obscured view, there was no hot water in my room! I immediately lodged a complaint, but the only solution that was offered was to upgrade me to a higher floor for an additional DAILY CHARGE! By this point I was beyond tired and just wanted to settle in. The new room was very clean but missing furniture and the tub needed to be resurfaced by bath fitters or something! The only upside to this property is how friendly and accommodating the housekeeping staff was, hence the two star rating!

we arrived at 3:45 pm for the check in, there was a huge line in front of me. after around 20 minutes I was able to complete my check in but the staff member said I would have to wait for my room because of cleaning issues, and I would have to wait for a text message saying my room was ready. me and my wife had to wait until 5:15 in the lobby and the staff member was super rude when I complained about the delay. the hotel did not allowed us to take our backpack to the pool area, now I ask you, how would you bring phone, wallet, sun protector, and other personnel things to the pool area from you room without a backpack? overall the experience was not good you pay more for a hotel with a higher standard but instead receive a poor quality service.

We have stayed at this hotel for years. First as the Grosvenor then Regal Sun. The latest room updates are the best the hotel has looked. Modern and comfortable. When we checked in Mike at the desk asked me to let him know what we thought of the room changes. The only thing I could find to complain about was the height of the shower head. I’m 5’8” and it was low for me.
Close to Disney Springs and bus service to the parks means no need to rent a car for the week. Dining at the hotel isn’t cheap, but after Disney Springs the mall at the other end of the street is another option and very reasonable.
We did rent a car for one day from the onsite Dollar rent a car. Easy with good service.
They will defiantly see us on our next trip to Disney World.

Arrived for a 5 day weekday getaway. Front desk staff was very friendly in checking us in early and "upgraded" us to a top floor room. We had two rooms that where next to each other 16016 and 16018. If we where not in a covid time we would have requested different rooms after we unpacked. Both rooms where obviously in the process of being renovated, both beds in both rooms where clearly well used and sagging. We had to sleep on the edges of the bed with pillows to be supported. 16018 had constant water dripping from the shower, and limited air vent in the bathroom. 16016, had missing light switches and bedside reading lamps and just had covers over them but 16018 had these items. 16016 had a non functional bathroom vent and I had to run the hot water for 10 minutes constantly every time I wanted a shower because it was stone cold. Highly recommend the AC units be cleaned as the vents where black with dust. Pool area was excellent, only wished it was opened later than 8pm for a nice soak in the hot tub. We dealt with the rooms as the rate was decent, however I do not think I would stay here at the normal rate for the room experiences we had.

My husband and I snuck away in late January for a quick Disney trip without the kids. It was very last minute so we didn’t stay on Disney property.
This hotel was the next best thing. They offered a bus to the parks (running every 30 minutes). It was close to Disney Springs (5minute walk). They have a Joffrey’s coffee bar with great coffee and delicious breakfast sandwiches.

A few Pros & Cons:

Pro:
Close to Disney Springs
A Disney Resort (you get extra magic hours)
Buses run to the parks
Nice pool & big hot tub
Rooms were updated with plenty of usb outlets

Cons:
Buses make stops at other hotels so plan for extra time
Pool bar was being remodeled as of 1/23/20
Bathroom door doesn’t slide open all the way so I bumped into it a few times

All in all, we will definitely stay here again. The closeness to Disney Springs alone is worth it because we’d take the bus from the park straight to DS and shop or eat before heading back to the hotel.

Hotel is nice but keys don't work for rooms doors and parking gate to get in, that was a constant struggle. They charge you for housekeeping plus a tax for the service but you will be calling downstairs or tracking down housekeeping to get the proper amount of clean towels, tissues, toilet paper and shampoo and conditioner. The light in the bathroom was flashing and they never vacuumed during our 9 night stay. Also beware they will take random amounts of money out of your bank account with no reason and double charge you and say that they can't see that charge. So if my card is truly compromised it is probably from the card machine you have to use to do laundry In the on-site laundry room. Way overpriced for what you get in return. The arcade game coin machine doesn't work nor does it look like it has worked for a few years. The breakfast was nice but they charge 24.99 a person and $10 for child. The little store in the front is over priced. A little silk milk one serving is close to $5 and cheese and crackers which had two crackers in it cost $8. Also they may say when you book you have until 2am to check in but it is actually midnight. The front desk manager is nice but everyone else doesn't know what is going on half the time. Also make sure your final bill is perfect before you leave because they will put more surprise fees against you after you check out and leave. Sure it maybe a good deal but it's too much of. A headache to enjoy your vacation.

The best thing about this hotel was it’s location near to Disney Theme parks and there was a free bus connection to parks. The bus stoped also to other hotels, but that didn’t take much time. Service in the hotel was ok and also the hotel was pretty clean. We stayed for three nights. There was no general information about the hotel in room, in TV info or in the Disney app, so we had no idea, what kind of services the hotel has and what they cost. The lobby snack shop/cafe was very expensive.
