Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The best gay resort in GC with lovely bungalows in a garden setting. Heated pool and jacuzzi. Very comfortable to stay here with own kitchenette and also each bungalow have a private terrace in front and back. The staff are all very serviceminded and super friendly. Close to the beach and Yumbo. The hotel is very carefull with hygiene and rooms are cleaned with ozon and UV light to desinfect. This feels safe in the times we are in. Many quests come year after year as this feels like a home away from home. Don't miss this place and even though we had to take pcr test before entering Spain the arrival at the airport was very smooth and quick. Come and enjoy the sun in GC and stay with the Rainbow Golf Bungalows gay resort!

As with all first visits we were a bit unsure what to expect as sometimes you do need to relax and chill out. We wondered if it might be banging (excuse the pun) from morning till going out time, but no it was relaxed, quiet, serene and just what we needed after working hard through bloody Covid. It was a great mix of ages and nationalities with a really friendly crowd and because it is not a big rambling complex it is more intimate and community like. Antonio and Michael could not have been more helpful throughout the full fortnight. They were there to help and this they did with professionalism and friendliness. Cannot fault them. Their little team of housekeeping again were faultless in their tasks keeping bungalows in order, towels and bedding replenished when they say it will be. Although we did not use the laundry service I will do so on our next return as this was fairly priced. Michael sorted out our boat trip which was well worth the money and a lovely day again we would do this again. On checking in our Covid documents were checked which I found assuring that they do care about their guests health and well being. Although do so hope this will not be needed in 2023. The bungalow was pleasant and cosy for a 2 week stay with everything you would need. The Yumbo is about a 15 minute walk which was no problem but far enough away not to interfere with the tranquillity of the complex and its surrounding neighbourhood. Shop just across the road so getting provisions is easy. Also the bar sell large water so you don't have to hike that back with you. Check out is around noon but they do have a little shower room for you to shower and change if your flight is later in the day and they provided towels so guest comfort is provided for. I am looking at flights for next year as we would return to the rainbow as we like Maspalomas but don't really like the bigger complexes as our Diva days are long gone:-) For any couple wanting a nice relaxed, friendly and safe holiday complex you really must try the rainbow. Just returned from our 4th visit to Rainbow Golf and as before, we certainly weren't disappointed on returning - it remains our number one choice for accommodation in Gran Canaria. We were welcomed back by Michael, Adrian and Antonio, as members of an extended family more than customers, which is the perfect tonic after the last 2 years that everyone has experienced globally.
Quality of our bungalow was again first class - spotlessly clean and was frequently cleaned throughout our stay including fresh towels and bedding. Upgraded WiFi was brilliant as well as the new pool loungers and mattresses.
I celebrated my birthday during our stay, Michael and Adrian went over and above by surprising me with a birthday card, bottle of Cava and even a cake! Such a lovely surprise and far and above what I’m sure you would experience elsewhere. I can’t thank the team enough for helping me celebrate my birthday in such a special way and again making it feel like a family environment.
Without a shadow of a doubt we will be returning to Rainbow Golf for our next visit and would like to thank the team for everything they do and the fantastic experience they continue to deliver.

This is the 2nd time we have visited this complex and as last year will be booking again for next year . Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the whole complex is spotlessly clean. Easy to visit hand luggage only as they are more than happy to wash any clothing for you. The clientele are all welcoming and the complex offers the privacy of your own bungalow, with both front and rear patio or the communal pool area. Do not be put off by the brown pool, it is merely brown tiles and spotlessly clean . Georgie and Michael have again been so helpful, nothing too much trouble. Great location for yumbo , nearby bars , bicycle hire and an amazing food bar just across the road . Cant recommend the place enough and like most guests will be back again 😀😀

I had a lovely, relaxing one week stay at this gay resort. The bungalows are comfortable and spacious with a kitchen area, living room and terrace. It's in a very quiet area and perfect if you want to chill, relax and sunbathe by the pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are cleaned every day. There's a supermarket two minutes walk away which has all the food/drink you need - and it's a 15 minute walk to the centre of Playa del Ingles and the Yumbo centre. I really recommend this to other gay visitors and would definitely stay again next time I'm in GC.

This was our 3rd time staying at Rainbow Golf. We can't fault the facilities, bungalows, pool area, cleaning each day, but also the friendly staff who are there for you if you need them or leave you to your own devices. This was our first visit to Rainbow Golf and can definitely say it was the most relaxing resort we have stayed at in Gran Canaria. Right from the start with the email confirmations of the booking and the greeting on arrival and the friendly team throughout the entire stay was fantastic.
We stayed for 18 nights in a superior bungalow for my birthday and enjoyed every moment, our bungalow 18 was very quiet and comfortable and the complex was very relaxed and had very friendly mix of people of all ages. We walked in to Playa del Ingle’s most days, about 15 mins to Yumbo and down to the beach sand dunes, about 20/30 mins which were fine so never used a taxi.
We have already booked for next year and are looking forward to it, thank you guys for a wonderful time and to seeing you all again.

Where do I start? This was our first visit and it certainly will not be the last. Amazing place, residents were lovely. The staff are the sweetest. Very Clean. It was nice to visit a place outside of the UK where we could be ourselves without judgement from anyone. Every person we met on our stay was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, always happy and always smiling and of course you have the most amazing weather year round. We are currently booking our next stay. Very clean and maintained place, with a magical atmosphere. Highly recommended !!! We'll start with the people who make the place. Starting with the reception, maintenance and household staff. The most amazing, charming, and stunning people we have met on all our travels abroad. A perfect hotel / apartment venue. Very friendly staff with a big shout to Micheal. Always happy to help and very good with doing the clothes washing.
I would say though the rooms do need a bit of loving to bring them up to date. Some scuffs on the walls. The bathroom shower doors very flimsy. The bed is two singles which can be frustrating.
The overall size of the place is perfect for smaller venue. Definitely pay for the air con rooms especially in the peak heat season.
The bar is small but has all you need for afternoon drinks.
There is now a dark room in place instead of the gym so alternative work out I guess.
The place is clean and tidy. But some things could do with a bit of loving.

There are two close by, one is outside the resort under another complex along the main road leading you to the Yumbo centre (Supermercado Unide) I think its 9 pm ( 8 PM on sundays and thursdays) . There is another to the left as you leave the resort in an old shopping mall (Faro 2) which stays open until 10 PM (hippo dino supermarket) This one as more choice. However, it's a 10-minute walk, the other is a mini market, with a bakery too and sells pretty much everything, both are equally as good. I think hippo dino is slightly cheaper. There is a larger super market just out of town which is way cheaper, but its 12 euros both ways ... but you may get more for your money in the long run. SuperDino El Tablero which opens at 8am and closes at 21.30PM
