Spacious rooms, clean and quiet, with comfortable bed. Very pleasant staff, nice bar and restaurant and couldn't be more convenient for terminal access via the CDGVAL and RER station. Would recommend and use again any time.

Breakfast wasn't bad with a reasonable choice, but someone needs to train the staff: Vacant looking young ladies walking past dirty tables with empty trays, leaving half-set tables for other guests instead of remaking them when they were eventually cleared.

Also the toaster was very slow, and two of the slots weren't working as the handle was missing. It amused me that someone had gone to the trouble of printing one of those self-adhesive labels to say it was out of order, but how difficult could it be just to get another toaster?

Another little thing, but the sort of detail I notice that makes a difference to overall impressions, it would be nice if someone occasionally cleaned/replaced the scrambled egg spoon and spoon dish as they were going past, as its not very appetising when the spoon, its handle and the dish are covered in cold egg!

I appreciate these are small things that might not bother others, but they didn't distract from the overall experience of the stay

Stayed at the Novotel for 1 night, easy and very practicable location, room was comfortable and modern, wifi good, but the restaurant was not the best. Poor service, poor choices, and what we did have to eat was bland, not hot, and we simply lost the enthusiasm to send it back! Breakfast was not much better either so would suggest use the hotel for bed only if you have to, and find alternative places for dinner and/or breakfast.
Shame, as everything else was very good

For a change I chose to stay at an airport hotel for a more relaxing departure from CDG. I chose Novotel for its good reviews especially the part about Its proximity to the free CDGval shuttle drop off point at T3.
This plan was a big mistake. A lot of walking was involved to get from car rental drop off to CDGval stop; the signs to the stop are not good, the CDGval has 1 stop at each of the 4 locations on its route and each location is huge so depending on what part of the location is of interest, the walking distance still to be traversed can be a bit much. I found the walking distances to be so overwhelming I took an Uber (10 euros) from Novotel to get to my departure terminal the following day.
Novotel is close to the T3 stop of CDG. Take the escalator up one level and there is a map of airport hotels, turn left and you are there. It’s a clean, modern hotel, good WiFi etc etc. it’s restaurant is reasonably priced and offers nice food.
The stress and effort to get to Novotel, even with its better location than many other CDG hotel, makes a non airport hotel with a cab ride, a better choice as far as I am concerned. But if one must stay at a CDG airport hotel, Novotel, offers value and is recommendable.

Sometimes a hotel deserves a bad review despite doing nothing wrong. This hotel is well situated, connected to CDG by the inter-terminal monorail, so no need for taxis or buses.

The big issue with this hotel is that Accor hotels have a design team who dont test their designs on actual human beings. Their designs are presented to committees of fellow Accor employees and nobody noticed the mistakes. When there is a mistake then it is the fault of the customer, who simply doesn’t understand how to use things properly and should therefore be ignored.

Here is the problem with this Novotel (there will be a reply under this one where they say that the shower works perfectly once you master it, but once again this is a sign of systemic denial that something is wrong) :

The in-room shower/bath consists of a standard hotel shower set up, with a hose and a ceiling mounted shower head. Like hotels all over the world there is a way of selecting between water from the hand held hose or directly from above. Here is the issue though. At this Novotel the standard Accor fitting has been fitted in a narrow space accessible from the left hand side. You have to physically climb into the shower or if you are very tall, lean in. Either way most of your body is in the shower and cannot move out of the way of the water from the ceiling shower head. Then when you turn on the shower, before you get any chance to find out how to switch water from head to hand-held, you get a rush of freezing cold water from above. And since the shower head is so big, this rush of water soaks your head. You cannot therefore have a shower without drenching your hair in cold water, inconvenient if you dont intend to wash your hair, more than inconvenient if your hair is longer.

This review will be ignored because somebody will demonstrate that if you know how this works, you can clamber into the shower , hold your left arm fully outstretched, your head held against the left hand wall looking away from your hand, and thus you can turn the knob sufficient to engage the hand held shower and not the overhead. My point is that 999 guests out of 1000 will not manage this, especially because you need to look closely to see if any instructions are there on the shower to help. Accor however doesnt test this sort of layout on their customers, they simply go ahead with this because in the eyes of the experts who design it and work with it every day, there is no problem.

The only way to publicise this sort of systemic poor design is to write a long review and hope that somehow consumer feedback is important. I’ve sat in enough meetings where feedback is studied and i know how constructive feedback can easily be ignored. After all, who is right, the experts who design hotel rooms or the guests who have to use them? Guests are the ones who are « doing it wrong » and given a few days all guests would get the hang of it. Except no, this is an airport hotel where 99% of guests stay for one night, so the design must be simple and clear first time, every time.

Checked in with a lady who’s seems like not in the mood with her current job . No smile! No welcoming at all! I don’t think so that due to Corona Pandemic the service will be completely gone . In fact it should be more emphasize and more accommodating ofcourse not in physical way but through body gestures. She even show a very poor body gesture while dealing with us by folding her two hands and playing with her hair as if she’s talking to her boyfriend. It’s very cheap form a known hotel chain Novotel to give one bottle of water seeing that we are a couple staying. I ask for another bottle of water afterwards and say can I please have two but turns out she insist without empathy or sorry and said I’ll give you one! We book in this hotel even if we are a Marriott Loyal as they accept pets and also it has a good review in booking.com due to convenience for the Airport. After asking for information how to get to the shuttle as we have super early flight turns out she said just ask my colleague at night if the bus shuttle is open cuz she said there’s changes . She should know and at least make little effort by asking a colleague or search I’m the internet or call. It’s like she’s annoyed and want to finish the check in and get rid of us.

My review might be full of emotions but this is how I exactly feel. I hope Novotel Hotel should take this not defensively and hope she will change her behavior and be professional and helpful and welcoming.

Check in Date : Nov 3

Thank you.

Our group booked two rooms at the Novotel for our last night in Paris. I chose the Novotel for the extremely easy access to the free automatic airport shuttle/train (CDGVal). I was nervous about getting to the airport early and didn't want any issues with waiting for a hotel shuttle/Uber or traffic.

The Novotel was perfect. Location was even better than I could have imagined from looking at the airport map. You literally just walk down the hallway, and the CDGVal station is right through the double doors. Well, you do have to walk through the station and take the escalator down one level to the CDGVal...but it's extremely simple! (The long walk from Terminal 2 to Terminal 2A is a different story...)

Our rooms fit us perfectly. We had a family superior room (double bed + double sofa bed) plus an executive room (double bed + single sofabed). The executive room was on a higher floor and had nicer amenities (bathrobes, slippers, more variety of drinks in the minifridge), but the family room was perfectly fine! The sofabed was not super comfortable, but again, it was fine for one night. Both rooms had a separate toilet room, which made it easier for multiple people to get ready for bed, etc.

Best of all was the customer service that we experienced at the Novotel. I had prepaid for the two rooms, but I accidentally canceled my hotel booking in the midst of our Europe trip. I immediately tried to rebook the rooms, but the family room was no longer available, and of course the prices had gone up. My new booking was for 3 executive rooms.

In despair, I emailed the Novotel CDG hotel directly, explained that I had accidentally canceled my reservation, and asked if they could reinstate my booking. In the hotel's response, they confirmed that my booking was okay, but my husband and I were not sure if the hotel meant the prepaid, accidentally canceled booking for 2 rooms or the new booking for 3 rooms. It took a little bit of back and forth, but eventually the hotel confirmed that I had 5 rooms booked and asked which rooms did we want to keep? We explained that we would like to keep the prepaid rooms, and they canceled the newer booking.

I was still nervous when we arrived at the hotel, but check-in was smooth, and the rooms were just right. Through it all, we were impressed with the kindness and graciousness of the customer service representatives at the hotel. And of course, we were so grateful that they were willing to reinstate my original booking!

(Note: When we called the main Accor line for help and asked for English, we were transferred to a rep at the general hotel reservation line. That rep blithely told us that the first booking had been cancelled and that there was no way to reinstate it. So definitely call/email the Novotel CDG directly. Their customer service is wonderful!)

My wife and I spent one night at Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle on the way to a trip to Madagascar. The hotel shows the same strong points as many hotels of the Novotel brand. Modern, well appointed and comfortable rooms although I have seen more spacious ones in other properties. Efficient and professional staff at check-in. However, what pushed my rating down was clearly the restaurant. Although you don't expect Michelin-starred food in such a hotel food at Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle was clearly below standard. My wife had a lamb preparation ("jarret d'agneau") that was poorly executed and untasty. The dessert I chose (mascarpone with fruits) was fat and could have been served in a canteen. At 69.5 € for two without wine this is clearly not value for money. Should you need to have lunch or dinner at the hotel for this very reason I would hesitate to recommend Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle despite its very convenient location.

Was just as I expected. The pictures on TA are accurate. Located inside the terminal was extremely convenient: from Room to Being in T3 within 10 min(& free! With CDG Val plane train). Unlike other AP hotels, this one is completely inside the terminal so it is covered in case of rain. Directly across the hotel entrance(within the terminal still) is M&S grocery which is open until 8:30pm every night & did sell wine & beer on the Sunday that we were there. Also salads, sandwiches & meals that you can heat up(there are 2 microwaves)@good prices.

The Air con has had mixed reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised that mine did work. It had an individual control panel in the room which when turned all the way,as cool as I could…provided cool enough air to sleep.

Our check in (1700) & check out (0830) experience was very fast & both ladies there were friendly & spoke English.

We arrived in Terminal 2F and had a long walk to get to the shuttle to take us to Terminal 3 and the Novotel Hotel. I realize that this is the fault of CDG not having a proper shuttle service, but I have never had to walk so far just to get to a shuttle train. The room was fine but we were disappointed that the "king" sized bed was simply two single mattresses pushed together with a gap in between. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom so I could not use my WaterPick to clean my teeth. We were shocked to pay 10Euros for a beer in the bar. Likewise, the food in the restaurant was very expensive.

Comfortable and quiet. Perfect for a last night before a morning flight. We flew in from Nice and didn’t have to go outside to reach the hotel. Also, right next to RER B for the city. It’s quite a trek to Terminal 2A. The tram to Terminal 2 is just two stops, but 2A is a long walk, so consider allowing extra time if that’s where you’re going (American Airlines to the U.S.). The breakfast buffet was incredible. Everything was delicious and there was so much I’m not sure I even saw everything. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

There is a free shuttle train . CDGVal, from the terminal. Be sure you have reservations and check CoVid policies. Do not confuse with YotelAir, which is inside terminal 2E, so you don’t have to go through security. Some airline will allow you to check your baggage ahead of boarding your next flight.
