Dated property. Grumpy proprietor. Over priced. Car parked away from room. Nice reception. Not a lot of options to choose from in a small town. If you can get to Digby area, the accommodations are so much better.

First of all, this quaint building is NOT Bridgetown Motir Inn. A long time ago, it was a Presbyterian church and it remains a pretty and decorative building on the main Queen St. The Bridgetown Motor Inn is a large two storey motel complex built behind a one time private home located on the east end ofGranvilke St. (Old Hy.1) Not far from the big new school, also close to aTim Horton’s, a better place to get breakfast. The BMI needs new everything. It is not quaint, just old. Stayed there for three days. On recent visits to Bridgetown, stayed at the Broken Wheel B&B at the west edge of town, and this May opted for an Air bnb cottage at Phinney Cove on the Bay of Fundy (excellent) There are several good Band B places in and near Bridgetown—stay there!

We stayed here the second weekend of July because we were in town for a wedding. The motel looks fairly run down from the road and extremely run down when you get closer to the rooms. There was a pool at some point but this was covered over and is now overgrown with grass and weeds. Our room door was just open to the outside, but despite this was musty smelling inside. The bedding had black stains on it and the bathroom was chipped, stained and cracked. There are not many options in town, but I would recommend finding a B&B or driving through rather then stay here.

We loved the Bridgetown Motor Inn. It is a little quirky but clean, comfortable, quiet and friendly. It's in a lovely small town so you can walk to parks, the local café and some nice shops. We stayed there for a week while visiting family in the area and especially enjoyed the breakfasts. (I usually never go to breakfast in motels but this one was special.) The local senior men's coffee club meets there every morning and they add a very convivial touch to the experience. The dining room is also pleasant and looks out over a nice garden. I believe some of the breakfast food is actually brought in for the coffee club but shared with motel guests--over the week we had delicious home-made squares and mini quiches as well as eggs. However, if you don't want these additions to the menu, there are also packaged cereals and yogourts, fruit, etc., which is all you get in most inexpensive motels. The manager was very kind and helpful. Thank you for a most enjoyable week!

I wouldn’t give this motel one star but that is as low as I can go.
The owner was very rude to her staff in front of us and kept telling her cleaning staff how to properly clean and set up a room when it was pretty easy to tell they knew what they were doing.
When we checked in it was obvious the owner had no clue what she was doing, we booked online and she kept telling me I didn’t pay when I had the screenshot of the confirmation number right there showing it was booked and paid for. Other friends booked a room online as well and when they showed up there was no room booked for them.

I think this motel could be a really nice place if it was under different management, don’t waste your time staying there’s another motel in Bridgetown.

Thank you for confirming that we have excellent cleaning staff. All of the rooms have been thoroughly cleaned renovated and upgraded in the first six months of this year. Your rate was being confirmed, not whether you had paid or not as the booking sites often have promotional pricing. You are right I am learning the front desk as my partners, the Bruno;s were in charge of operations until recently until they abandoned the business. And yes your friends did not have a room unfortunately as the booking system was just integrated the Saturday before after a month of working to get it that way. Growing pains. The new management is me and you are welcome that my construction team worked as hard as they did to bring it from the 60;s where all was needed was a disco ball to enhance the grotty rooms to our Ikea best today. I will take responsibilty for the short comings of my partners but not the blame. You and your friends will be welcome back, however no more after midnight, loud drunken arrivals. Be well.

My review:

The room a friend and I were assigned looked nothing like the photos on the website. We paid a very generous amount to stay in a room that was not as advertised. The accommodations, as they were shown online, were updated, clean, bright and comfortable. The accommodations in real life were nothing like the photos. Feels like false advertising. Very disappointing.

Room was musty smelling and not clean even though we were told they just finished cleaning just before we got there. Plus they do not control quiet time for motel, so guest can't sleep because of parties that go on till 1 or longer. Coffee machine with coffee & tea & sugar but no cups or creamers. Will not recommend to anyone needing a quiet place to go for a visit.

I should have read previous reviews. I wouldn't give this place one star but had to to allow it to post! Traveled down the end of February from Ontario to celebrate my mothers 100 th birthday. Had pre booked for 5 nights. Checked in . The office area was a mess. I should have figured what was coming. Shown to our room. Cold, damp and dingy. Water took ages to get hot and beds looked slept in. Spent 20 minutes there tired and weary ! Had just driven from Halifax airport! Packed up and went to the office to cancel only to be told I hadn't given 72 hours notice so had to pay the full shot. The woman owner already had my Visa. Said she would knock off one night which she didn’t upon receiving my Visa Statement. I was billed $685.40 then $171.35 on another line. Over $800 for a 20 min stay. Im waiting to see if Visa can help me but I doubt it. Im still fuming 2 months later. Moved on to Annapolis Royal Inn. A beautiful and caring lodging.

No one answered when I tried to book a room. On arrival at the motel, no-one was there and we had to wait. The flight of stairs to the upper level were VERY steep. The bedspread had stains all over it. The pillow was filled with small pieces of foam and not comfortable. The mattress was old and cheap. In the morning when entering the breakfast room, we had to walk past three staff members sitting at the picnic benches all smoking cigarettes. Not a motel I would recommend.

Your feedback is appreciated. Please confirm your reservation as we have no record of you staying here at the Bridgetown Motor Inn. The Inn has been completely upgraded from the 60's to Ikea best. Upon check in guests are given a Property information sheet, along with a business card. It is our hope and wish that if there is any form of dissatisfaction that we will learn about it while the guest is in house, so it can be addressed and remedied. Trusting that you will advise what name or reservation number this was under, so this can be taken up with staff, as Management was away.
